"I can't," Shoto said, like he was exasperated about it. He'd only ever really cried over Katsuki, since he'd been a small child anyway. He'd cried when they'd broken up, or fought, or when sex got too rough, or now, when he felt so full of love that he didn't know what to do about it.

They'd talked about getting married, and yet this surprised him. He hadn't expected it, hadn't been looking forward to it, hadn't known in the least. He wipes his face again, looking down at the ring Katsuki made him. "This is such a better story than saying I proposed after sex."

Katsuki grinned lopsidedly and played with Shoto's hair. "But I did propose after sex," he grinned. The dirtiest sex he'd had, honestly. At least tonight would be memorable for the both of them in more ways than one.

He pulled his boyfriend close by his waist and kissed along Shoto's cheek, then his neck, taking in the realization that this boy was utterly his. His to protect. His to love. Katsuki had never thought he'd have something more important to him than his hero work.

"You wanna head back to those idiots?" he asked, gesturing towards their group of friends in the distance still cheering at them.

Shoto flicked Katsuki's nose. He wasn't wrong, but that wasn't the point either. Katsuki had given him a beautiful proposal. Shoto hadn't even bothered putting on pants when he'd done it.

He soaks up all the love Katsuki dotes on him, peppering in a few of his own kisses. He nodded, pulled away slightly, and took his hand. "They're probably going crazy with their need to congratulate us."

And, true to his word, the moment they were within reach, Mina was in his arms, squealing so loudly he winced, but his smile was still there.

"Bakugo, you freaking did it, man! That's so manly of you!" Kirishima exclaimed as soon as Bakugo was within sight.

One by one, they gave their congratulations, even Midoriya and Yaoyorozu who'd at one point had a crush on Todoroki. They looked genuinely happy for the two though, and Midoriya came up to Bakugo to smile.

"Congratulations, Kacchan. See, I told you you were gonna marry first," he brought up their childhood joke.

Katsuki snorted. "There was no doubt about it, Deku," he sneered. "I'm always first." Honestly, a part of him was smug. He had someone Midoriya wanted and couldn't have.

"C'mon Roki, let's dance!" Mina shouted, tugging Shoto away as music filled the air, upbeat and fitting for a summer bash.

The congratulations were loud and genuine and he smiled softly at Yaoyorozu, even though they'd gotten along quite a bit after he'd learned of her crush on him, he still felt a little bad. But she didn't seem slighted, and that made him better. Kaminari hugs him, and Sero pats his back, and there's no telling Mina no when she's that excited.

He looks back at his boyfriend - fiance - as Mina finds them a place and she dances a lot better than him, he's still awkward and stiff and too sober, but it's fun and he's happy and has all the reasons in the world to celebrate.

Even Bakugo participated in the celebrations a bit, mostly playing volleyball with the boys and once he managed to spike the ball so hard it popped, it was pretty much game over. When the music came on, he just about swayed to it, not going overboard with the dance so much as he was watching Shoto do his awkward, sober dancing.

He grinned dumbly to himself. That was his lover. His fiancè. His baby. He was pretty damn lucky, that out of everyone, he'd managed to find his soulmate pretty early in life.

"Nice catch, Bakugo," Kirishima grinned. "If anyone could woo Todoroki, it had to be you." He flashed Bakugo a thumbs up to which the blond snorted and waved him off.

"You're really happy, aren't you?" Mina asked, when she caught Shoto looking towards Katsuki again. He smiled at her guiltily, but nodded. "I am. I'm really, really happy."

She hugged him again, which ruined his already bad dancing as they fell over each other, Shoto stumbling in an attempt to keep himself on his feet.

"You're so lucky," she said. "I know people give you a hard time about him sometimes, but I can see it when he looks at you. He really loves you."

"I know," Shoto said, and he did know. More importantly, he believed it.

She smiled and squeezed him tighter. "How is therapy?"

"Good," he said. "Really good. I'm learning to accept that I deserve things like this. Good things. Katsuki things."

Once Yaoyorozu made them another volleyball, Katsuki joined the match until somehow it got to the point he was taking on three other guys, determined to win against them. He managed to, by some incredible stroke of luck, and also a bit of skill on his part.

"Fuck," he came back to Shoto absolutely covered from head to toe in sand. But he was grinning, sweating, and happy. He'd even threatened death only twice that whole evening.

"You having fun, snowflake?" he smirked as he tilted his head to steal a kiss from Shoto. "You looked like a damn cut-out when you were dancing."

He meant he looked cute, but he wasn't about to be sappy in front of Raccoon Eyes.

"Shut the fuck up," Shoto shot back. "You're the one who said no alcohol."

Mina laughed, like she thought they were both funny, and squeezed Shoto's shoulder before she left the boys alone with each other. Shoto's eyes were bright, and he brushed sand off Katsuki's cheek as an excuse to touch him more actually be helpful, since his boyfriend was so covered in sand nothing could help.

"Yes, I'm having fun," he says, and he was. Awkward dancing and all. Because everyone who passed him reached for his hand to look at the ring, and every time it sent a thrill through him. "You?"

"You still dance like a damn cardboard cut-out with alcohol," he quipped right back, though it was partly a lie. He'd seen Shoto sway his hips while dancing and he'd wanted to fuck him silly.

He took Shoto's hand, sort of swaying since they were still among others who were dancing to the music.

"I hate this stupid party," he said, though he was obviously joking. He leaned in close, whispering against Shoto's ear. "I'd rather be making out with you."

Shoto rolled his eyes, but swayed to the music with his boyfriend. It was less awkward with someone to hang onto.

It was the first time he'd heard Katsuki say he hated a party and didn't entirely mean it. "Who says you can't make out with me here?" He asks. "There's a ring on my finger, no hiding it now."

And he kisses him, really kisses him, all warmth and tongue. It's more loving than it is hot, but he still hears wolf whistles and whoops go up around their friend group, and he's grinning against Katsuki's mouth. Free. He's free.

Katsuki was the one surprised this time as Shoto pressed a kiss right to his lips. A hot one. The kind reserved for intimate moments in the bedroom. A second's lag later, he wound his arms around his lover and kissed him just as fervently. Needily.

If they were gonna make out in public, better let them know who took charge. He grabbed Shoto's ass in one hand and grinned smugly against his lover's lips, pulling back to gaze into those mismatched eyes, the way they shone against firelight.

"Fuck, you're beautiful," he said under his breath. "And you're all mine."

Shoto huffed a laugh when Katsuki's hand grabbed his ass. He should have expected as much, and somewhere someone whistled again. He had a feeling it was Kaminari.

'Beautiful' makes him blush. He'd just gotten used to 'pretty', and that didn't hold the same weight. Somehow didn't mean as much. "Shut up," he whispers, but he kisses him again. Less indecently this time, but still a kiss worth whistling for. "Yours," he whispers against lips. "All yours. Forever."

There was no end date on this now. No backtracking, no break ups. It was the end of the line kind of relationship.

His forever. He didn't really know how long that was, or what forever meant. He just knew he wanted to see Shoto the next morning, have breakfast with him, and create a future with him. He curled his arms around his boyfriend's waist and gently swayed to the music as the music slowed to a romantic melody.

"Gonna have one dick all your life now," he smirked, like he was smug about trapping Shoto into exclusive sex with him. He thought it was a win, honestly.

"Why do you do that," Shoto complained, though he was still smiling. "Romantic, then filthy. And I'm the one that's supposed to be Hot and Cold."

It's all said teasingly though, and he leans forward to talk against Katsuki's ear when he says, "Guess it's a foos thing my ass is already molded to your cock, then. The perfect sleeve for the rest of your life."

"Because you make me say dirty things, looking the way you damn do," Katsuki muttered. "That line is razor-thin. Real fucking thin."

He huffed, chills skittering down his spine as Shoto whispered against his ear. "Molded to my cock?" he snorted, kissing along his jaw. "You have trouble taking it even on a good day." He liked it that way, though. It stroked his ego whenever Shoto struggled to take his girth.

"That's just because you're fucking thick," Shoto grumbles in response. He steps back though, and shrugs out of his jacket, walking just far enough to toss it with the rest of their stuff.

It's clear he's doing it on purpose, because now that his skin his bare, the marks that Katsuki has left on him are visible. Hickeys, bites, the collection that Shoto treasures. Old and new.

"Looking the way I do, huh?" He asks, eyes wide in mock innocence. He's bold, now that they're out. Now that his father isn't a problem. Now that there's a ring on his finger.

Katsuki pursed his lips as Shoto tossed away his jacket. He didn't want to show Shoto off like that, wanting to keep that sight to himself, and only himself, but he can't help but admire how nice he looked in the nighttime, the way his skin seemed to glow under moonlight and firelight.

He ran his hands up Shoto's torso just because he could, and teasingly brushed his thumbs over his nipples. There was a bite mark around it that had yet to heal.

"Yeah," he mumbled in awe. The distraction was brief, though, as soon as he spotted a volleyball hurled their way by accident, he swiped his hand to smack it away before it could hit Shoto's head. "Fucking watch it, idiots!" he snarled at them.

There was a chorus of apologies and Shoto laughed softly, pressing his face into Katsuki's chest. He'd been so invested in messing with his boyfriend that he hadn't even noticed the ball. It would have hurt like hell, too.

"Let's get married here," he says, "with them." He doesn't care when, tomorrow or in a year, but he likes this atmosphere. "I want to celebrate. I want to make a big deal out of it. I want people to be happy for us." And a beach wedding could be beautiful. "And then we can run away and honeymoon for two weeks and lock ourselves away from the world."

Katsuki raised a brow when Shoto mumbled all that happy rambling. He personally didn't like airing out their affairs to everyone but they were minor inconveniences compared to the happiness Shoto felt. If his fiancè wanted to celebrate on an open beach, surrounded by all the friends they'd made in the past few years, he'd happily oblige.

"Look at you," he snorted. "Already planning a wedding and a honeymoon." He teased Shoto about it, since he found it pretty adorable Shoto was getting so elated over the celebrations.

He kissed his boyfriend's cheek. "Anything you want, baby," he said, fingers pressed to Shoto's hips.

"Thank you," Shoto mumbled, because he knew Katsuki would probably rather just do their own thing, but he'd never really had a reason to celebrate something before. And why not this. Why not them.

He pressed in for a kiss, wanting to be closer. To say 'I want you, forever', and 'I love you', and 'call me baby again.'

He rests his head on his fiancé's chest and looks at the ring on his hand. "You made this for me," he says, awe in his voice. "You really fucking love me. It's awesome."

Katsuki snorted at how impressed and lovesick his fiancè seemed to be about the ring. It felt nice to be appreciated, even though he hadn't exactly forged their own ring for the praise. He'd just seen a problem he could fix, so he'd done it. Simple as that.

"Two years of this and you're saying that now?" Katsuki muttered under his breath. "'Course I love you." Though the truth was that Katsuki hadn't exactly planned for his crush to end up this way. He hadn't planned to get into Shoto's pants and then end up smitten. He thought it was the other way around for most people. Fall in love and get used. Katsuki was pretty lucky he didn't have failed, toxic relationships; then again, it just made sense to him that he'd choose who he wanted to date carefully.

"Oi, Bakugo, can you make fireworks again?!" Kaminari ran up to them, panting and energized from playing volleyball.

"Shut up, I'm gonna make them when I want to make them," Katsuki growled, but Kaminari didn't have to wait long, as he fired off a few more in quick succession, the flares popping in the sky, a vibrant red and orange.

He was behind Shoto, an arm pulled around him in a backhug. He kissed Shoto's neck and mumbled low enough for him to hear as their friends went crazy over the fireworks. "You ready to ditch these damn losers?"

"I told you I was working on my issues," Shoto pointed out. Two years of this. He hadn't planned for this either. He'd known he'd liked Katsuki, but he'd thought it would be a fleeting obsession, something he would be able to get out of his system. He hadn't thought he'd fall for him passed the aesthetic appreciation. Certainly not as quick and hard as he did.

He chuckled at Kaminari's request, and leaned his head back on his fiances shoulder to watch the explosions. "Yeah," he answered, and tilted his head to press a kiss to Katsuki's cheek. "Let's tell them bye."

He left him to make his rounds - hug Mina, clasp hands with Kaminari, let anyone else pull him around who wanted to, say his thanks for celebrating with them, before he went back to take Katsuki's hand in his.

Katsuki didn't bother saying goodbye to everyone quite like Shoto had, but he did saunter over to Kirishima, shoulders hunched and a pout on his lips, before he muttered out a soft, and muttering "thanks" to the other male. The redhead beamed, assured him that that was what friends were for, and Katsuki returned to Shoto before his blush got any worse.

He draped a towel around Shoto to keep him warm, since they'd kinda tumbled in the water a bit and their clothes were wet. They'd left as boyfriends and were returning to their dorm as fiances. It was a bit surreal, to be honest.

A thought crossed his mind. "I should probably tell my mom."

"Oh, me too," Shoto said. "She's going to be ecstatic."

But then he realized that wasn't exactly what Katsuki meant. His mom didn't even know they were dating - they'd been so busy with everything that hadn't taken the trip to the Bakugo home they'd meant to.

"Oh," he says again, then cracks up laughing. "Oh my god, Katsu. You really proposed to me without even telling your mother."
