The worst possible outcome for the situation of course is the one that played out. The tent opened and revealed a very surprised and angry man Zeke suspected was Derrick after Ai had called him. Regardless, it was a very far from ideal situation and with each second that passed, the man just got more and more angry. As soon as the naked trainer recovered from his shock, he began to quickly scramble and try to get his clothes on. Thanks to the warm interior of the tent, his clothes were almost entirely dry and his pants only had small traces of mud left on them.
Zeke only had managed to dress his lower half when the massive arcanine was brought out and he realized that Ai was right, he stood absolutely no chance. Not only was his Pokémon still in its first evolution stage, it was also an ice type and therefore it would never stand a chance in battle against this fire type. It was time to make like a banana and split.
Zeke grabbed his pack which contained everything he had and ran out of the tent, not even e bothering to find his shirt. He looked at Ai apologetically as he left and made a mental note to find her again someday.
He ignored all calls from AI’s brother and the menacing fire dog of his and made for the tree line. Zeke wasn’t sure how long he ran for or where exactly he was anymore. At some point he stopped long enough to get out his poke ball and throw on a clean set of clothes before jogging again lightly. Was he still being followed or had Derrick given up chase? Where exactly was he? Zeke’s mind was busy as he walked with no particular sense of direction or set destination for the moment.
