Don't go into town tonight (Reina X Alisa Perne)

Terrence left her to her own thoughts and her cigar. Seems like she needed to do some thinking anyway. He went to the wood cabinet that he was told about previously. Found some eggs, some bacon and even some grits. Starting cooking it up and the scent of breakfast filled the air. Sizzling bacon and eggs cooking while the sun was rising. It was honestly the best way to start the morning. "Hey im gonna make myself two eggs, how many do you want? If any of course. Or are you one of them no good i only drink black coffee in the morning types o' women? I aint got nothin against people like that. I just dont trust em." The sheriff put his clothes back on. It made no sense to cook popping bacon with no shirt on. As sexy as one might think it is to cook without clothes on. I promise you, the grease will always win. He started humming a tune to himself while he was cooking. He was finished making breakfast quickly, as one does. Eggs and bacon never took that long to cook, and grits you just add some salt, cheese, hot water and those are pretty much finished. He put the food on the table and called her in. "Come on now, breakfast is ready and you dont want it gettin cold. I wont take no for an answer. Get that sexy brown ass in here and eat somethin."

Sonia couldn't say no, not because it was a demand, but because she was indeed hungry. She sat down at the table across from the sheriff and took a few bites. "So sheriff." she said and took another bite, "How did ya rest last night?"

"I rested pretty good. Your bed isen't the comfiest thing in the world, but i reckon the company is what i enjoyed. I wasnt sleepin like no baby or nothin, but i slept hard enough to get a good night's rest for today. Eat up, got a big day of startin work. I told the boys to meet me there by noon. So that should give us a couple hours to get ready and get over to town." Terrence finished his meal and put his clothes on. He walked outside and lit up his last cigarette. "Damn, guess i gotta get some more of these today." He said to himself dryly while watching the land get enveloped by the rising sun.

"You are a particular man aren't ya sheriff? I noticed ya like order, shirts always tucked in, hats always straight and everything is just perfect. Gotta have yer same sort of cigarettes and your not too keen on booze I noticed, well not the cheap stuff at least. Tell me somethin, be honest, were ya always like that? The particular sort." She said as she joined him, fishing a cigar out of her pack and lighting it.

"I've been told this before. Been told i was too tidy. I like it though. I feel like being clean and tidy goes hand in hand with being a sheriff. Law and order and all that jazz." They sat on the front porch, enjoying their after breakfast smokes. "Alright, well im ready if you are." Terrence said before putting the cigarette out and gathering up his things from Sonia's house.

Sonia stood up, went around back, filled her canteen, then threw some biscuits and other non perishables in her small pouch and got on her horse, "C'mon sheriff ya slow poke." she said with a laugh and lit her cigar.

"Slow poke huh?" He said while he saddled up on his own horse. "Im pretty much your boss now. You better be treatin me with some dignity, or we gonna have to fight." He bumped her leg playfully with his arm while he hopped up. "Alright to town it is. Let's see if anything came in while we were out and about."

"Roger that sheriff, lead on." She said as she took a puff from her cigar, waiting for him to take point.

Terrence led the way through the outskirts of town, which consisted of mostly dry desert. Passed tiny streams, and through the craggy areas. It was interesting how many biomes existed in such a small little area. The only type of environment that didn't exist in their little area was snow, and the sheriff was fine with that. He hated snow. So much so that on their journey to town he decided to lean over towards Sonia and ask her what she felt about it. "Sonia, you ever deal with snow? I have, and its awful. Just god awful amounts of white bullshit all over the place." He shifted on his horse to get a better angle when talking. Most of what he said was lost since he was just rambling and he was sure Sonia wasn't listening anymore, but he he went on nonetheless.

Before too long they saw the town in the distance. "Well, we almost back. Let's get over to the office and see if anything came in for you. If not then.....you can just come on a patrol with me. Just please dont turn into one of those two clowns. They just sit around all damn day. I don't think you are that kind of person, but you never know." He said while they started to come up along the side of the office. Terrence hopped down and secured his horse to the post.

"Well, come on little lady, lets see what we got on the agenda for today!"

"Funny you should mention that, as an ex outlaw and bounty hunter, I love the snow, easy to track someone through it and just as easy to cover up yer tracks too." She pulled the cigar out of her mouth and spat to the side, "Specially if I winged someone and they are tryin to get away, blood stick out like a sore thumb in the snow, cold never bothered me none, sometimes we had to take to the mountains to evade the law, most of em too chicken shit to go up that far soon as I started slingin lead at em from a few hundred yards off." Sonia chucked at the last bit, "I am a woman of business sheriff, and business always comes first." she got off of her horse, put her cigar out on the edge of her boot and stuffed what was left in her pouch. "Leggo." she said following the sheriff inside.

Terrence scoffs. "I fuckin hate snow. Just way too damn cold for me. I can see why you would use it for utility in reference to trackin but....nah fuck it, i hate it. Through and through." He dismounted his horse and headed towards the two lugs that were fuckin off in the office, as per usual. He walked forward and slapped their feet off the desk and stared at them while they got mad. "If you feelin froggy. Jump." After a few seconds they calmed down and sat back down.

"Alright, now that our daily bullshit is over. What has come in today? Anything exciting?" Terrence forgot that Sonia was with him since he wasn't used to it. "Oh by the way. Sonia here has agreed to work with us for a while. Don't know how long that is, but we are gonna leave the bounties to her from now on. And to be honest, that's completely fine with me. I hate chasing folk down anyway. Too much bullshit for a fight at the end. I guess she gets her jolies off of takin people down, so let her have her fun."

Terrence turned towards Sonia. "Just remember not all of the bounties require you to kill them so....try to control yourself doll. Ok?" He said while laughing. He looked around the office and didn't see anything of importance happening. "Well it looks like a slow day, why don't you find something to get up to until somethin rolls in and ill come find you when we have something for you to do." He started to walk away and he stopped himself. "Also, that means don't get fuckin hammered. So no drinking until at least mid day. Got it? Good."

"Want me to go with em sherrif? Keep these two knuckle heads in line?" She smiled, "Could walk about town, see if any of the locals need our help, you can always find me if a bounty comes across the desk." she smiled, cigar between her teeth.

Terrence waved Sonia away with a flick of his wrist. "Sure. Do what you want. I have some stuff to take care of here. Being a sheriff isen't all about runnin and gunnin. I still have to write up paperwork for the judge a couple towns over." He returned to his walnut desk that now had footprints on it. He scoffed as he wiped away the dirt and took a seat. Terrence pulled out his ink well and pen and started on his work. He had to write up town checks. In reality they were easy, but he still hated doing them. Shitty paperwork that had to be done every couple of months so the government knew they didn't have to stick their grubby hands on his town.

A few hours into his work he found himself wondering what Sonia was up to. He kept thinking about them sleeping in the same bed and how badly he wanted to take her body, but he respected her outlook on things and played the slow game. He chuckled at himself. "I should have just pulled my cock out. That probably would have worked." He finished his write ups and decided to see what the trio was up to.

Terrence put his hat back on his head and saddled up. He took a stroll through town, seeing if he could catch a glimpse of his new interesting sidekick.

Sonia had found some trouble indeed, if the Sherriff rode by the bar he would find Sonia pushing a man out of the doors, his hands cuffed together behind his back and a black eye on his face, she hadn't hurt the man the only harm she had done was twist his wrist when he resisted, the truth was he had harassed one of the local women, she didn't take too kindly to that, and the man stunk of alcohol, the man was not speaking, "Go on now, get on that horse bud, maybe a night in jail will make ya re think yer actions." The man stood there and did not comply, "Come on now, I promised the sheriff I would play nice, don't make me break that promise bud." the man didn't comply, "Last chance kid, I really ain't keen on breakin promises for no good reason, but you are gettin real close to givin me a good one."
