Goal! (V a l e n t i n e and Rainbows)

â??You are welcome.â?

Damien replied returning the other maleâ??s smile. He looked away when he asked â??what else he wanted to do with him.â?? He could think of a lot but none appropriate for something that wasnâ??t even considered a date.

â??Letâ??s go to the mall. Theyâ??ve got a great arcade with tons of cool games.â?

He finally replied. Before he could respond to Alexâ??s last comment the waitress returned with their dessert neatly packed in a bag to go. Standing he stretched a bit before grabbing the bag. He retrieved his wallet handing the pretty waitress a five dollar tip.

â??Letâ??s go Alex.â?

He said with a smile looking back at him. He had plenty of games back at the house but he didnâ??t think he was ready to be alone in a room with him yet. Plus nothing could beat the adrenaline rush he got when challenging people to DDR and having crowds of people watch.

Alex seemed a bit happier as he said your welcome. He smiled as he suggested the mall and then on top of that the arcade at the mall. He really liked going there, though never really had too much money to spend there so he didn't get to go very often. He expecially liked the DDR machine, but when people started watching he would stop, being too shy to continue. He didn't really like the crowds. He looked over at the waitress as she came back with the cake, he could already smell it and it smelt amazing. He stood as well, and looked around again. This was a really nice place and he wanted to remember it. He suddenly looked over to Damien with a smirk onhis lips. "Do you like DDR?" He asked, really hoping he did. That way they could play together. He was sure that if they did it would be lots of fun.

â??I adore that game.â? Damien replied. He was happy to know someone else enjoyed the game. It was really fun even if you didnâ??t know how to play. As they made it to the car he unlocked it automatically. â??Are you any good?â? he asked when they made it outside. He had a feeling Alex probably was good since he asked about it. Every time he went to the arcade thatâ??s pretty much what he spent doing the majority of the time he was there. Sometimes Damien would play the fighting games and the shooting games but pretty much he stuck with DDR. He got into the car reaching over and pushed the door open for Alex. Starting up the car he waited for Alex to get inside.

Alex smiled even bigger as he said he liked it a lot. He was quite excited he would finally get to play with someone. His brother would never play with him because he was always too busy with his racing games to play with him. He got a sort of smirk on his face as Damien asked if he was any good. "I suppose so." He said. He thought he was decent, but then again he never had anyone to compare himself to. He followed Damien out to the car and got in as he opened the door for him. He slid in easily and buckled up, already knowing how Damien drove. Alex was good at just aout all the video games, he tended to have a knack for catching onto stuff quickly, though that was only with video games. When it came to real life situations he wasn't so lucky.

For the ride he turned on the radio. â??Change to something. I donâ??t really listen to the radio.â? He said as he pulled out of the parking spot. This time he pulled out nice and slow totally opposite of what he normally would do. But riding in something fast with a full something was unsettling for some people and Alex could have been one of those people. He had a friend puke in his car one time and he didnâ??t want to go through that againâ?¦ His dad was so steamed. The ride to the mall wasnâ??t too long he couldâ??ve cut time in half if he was driving regularlyâ??but oddly enough it seemed to be many police out on the way there. Youâ??d think they wouldâ??ve been around when he was driving like a maniac. But oh well guess Damien was just extremely lucky.

Alex looked over at the other male for a moment as he told him to switch the station and did as he was told. He flipped around for a bit before finding some techno-ie station and keeping it at that. It didn't really seem like the type of music that Alex would listen to, but oh well, looks could be decieving. Once Alex started paying attention to Damien's driving a bit more he was a bit surprised to find out that he was actually driving very nicely by now. He smiled a bit, looking out the window as they drove. He noticed quite a rise in police officers but he didn't really connect two and two. As they got to the mall Alex sat there for a moment, waiting for Damien to at least open his door before he started to get out. He didn't want to just leave him out here and run off into the mall by himself.

He unlocked the doors. Opening his door he slipped out of the car running his fingers through his bangs moving them out of his face. He was extremely excited he hadnâ??t been to the arcade in about a month or so. He shut his door leaning up against the frame of the car. As he waited for Alex he discovered he had an abnormal boost of energy. Earlier when he was at the school he was extremely tired. As Damien pondered on the subject he soon realized it was obviously the food he ate. So he did learn something in health class after all. Getting back to reality he wondered what to do with Alex after the arcade. â??I suppose taking him home would be the best choiceâ?¦.â? He thought with a soft sigh. He didnâ??t want to spend too much time with himâ?¦ Heâ??d mess around and convince him to come home with him. Which wasn't such a bad idea...

Alex got out, stretching a bit as he did. He was pretty excited about this so far. He was having quite a good time with Damien. He smiled, walking around the cars and meeting up with the larger male. He walked around seeing Damien and smiling. He stood next to him for a moment before becoming imatient. He was too excited about playing DDR. He just turned and started walking to the mall. He smiled, and looked back at Damien. "Are you coming?" He asked, pausing for a moment and looking back at him. He turned and started walking again, deciding that whether he was coming or not now that he was going.

Snapping back into reality he smiled. "Ah, sorry." Damien replied rushing after Alex. It didn't take long for them to reach the entertainment section of the mall. Pulling out his wallet he pondered on how long they would be staying there. When they got inside the arcade he walked up to the cashier. "Can I have change for a twenty?" he asked placing the money down onto the counter. "Yeah sure." he replied counting up the money in ones. This arcade didn't work like others having cards to swipe to play games, it was still old fashioned and used tokens. After getting the money he looked down at Alex. "Let's get some tokens and play some DDR..." he said excitedly with a smile.

Alex smiled and nodded as he started after him and he turned and started walking to the mall. He was surprised at how short a time it was to walk through the mall, but that might have been because they were on their way to just go play. Alex only had ones so he didn't have to get change but he sat there patiently until the money was counted. He smiled and nodded, following him to go get the tokens with him. He walked over pulling out his money and pulling out a few ones. It was obvious he didn't have as much money as Damien, but that didn't really matter to him. He was quite excited about this, he didn't get to play often and now that he had someone to play with he was sure it would only be more fun.

Putting an arm around Alex he grinned. "Put your money away. You aren't spending any today. I'm treating you to this, kay?" Damien said with a smile as he pulled Alex closer so he could begin putting money in the machine. He put in enough so they could play as many DDR rounds they wanted. He stashed the rest away in case they wanted to play some other games while they were there. He released Alex so he could get the tokens. Splitting them up even he held his hand out so Alex could grab his share. "Here..." Daimen offered with a smile.

Alex looked at him oddly as he said he was going to pay. "But you paid for lunch." He said, but didn't argue further than that. He had barely even noticed the arm that was put around him. He smiled a bit, not quite sure but he just stood there as Damien pushed closer, getting the tokens. He blushed a bit, looking back at him for a moment before looking back at his hands. He watched as Damien sorted out the tokens, and then took his share as he offered them to him. He smiled up at him. "Ready?" He asked.

"Yeah..." Damien replied returning the smile. It was a fairly crowded day at the arcade and to his surprise there was no one on the DDR machine when the two approached it. "I'm shocked... Normally I have to wait forever to get on this thing..." he said to Alex before stepping up onto the dance pad. He grinned watching the demo it was playing. This was the supernova version, the one he liked. Damien was good at almost every song that was on it--having the advantage of having the ps2 version at home. There were some slight differences being, some songs were from the other DDRs and from his knowledge a couple from the Ps2 version were missing. Slipping in two tokens he looked down at Alex. "Have you played this one before?" he asked.

Alex smiled though he couldn't help but be nerveous about the crowd, that normally meant the people would go and watch others play the games quicker. He smiled though, knowing he would at least be able to get one game in before too big of a crowd formed. He smiled and nodded. Damien was right, normally it did take a long time to get to actually play on the machine. He soon stepped up as well, smiling at the song. He looked over at Damien as he asked if he'd played before. He just smirked. "Yes, I've played this one before. But never with anyone else." He said. This was actually the only one he'd ever played, and he was pretty damned good at it by now. When his mom went to the mall, he went to the arcade. And that was how it had been ever since they put this machine in here.

Damien smiled. He leaned forward putting into the coin slot the required amount of tokensâ??two. â??This should be interestingâ?¦â? he thought. He didnâ??t really play a lot of people in DDR when at the arcade. He was pretty good and many players were intimidated. He was slightly overjoyed that Alex knew nothing about his skills in the gameâ?¦ Not that he thought it was an advantage over him or anything, he was just happy that they both were actually going into the game not knowing of each otherâ??s skills. It made the game a lot more enjoyable. â??So what level do you usually play on?â? Damien asked causally as he waited for Alex to put in his tokens.

Alex smiled, he was quite excited about actually playing someone. He knew he was good, but he had never really had anyone to compare it to, so he just knew he was decent. He couldn't help but smile, he was more excited than hehad been before. He finally came to his senses, chuckling nerveously and putting his tokens in. He had just about forgotten about that. He looked over at him as he asked what level he normally played on. He had to stop and think about it for a moment. "Umm...Heavy?" He half asked, half stated. He wasn't quite sure if Damien would know what he was really talking about, but he was sure that if he played at all, he would know.

"An expert huh?" he said with a smile. As the game started up he smiled. Leaning forward the taller male began scrolling through the list of songs. He was in the mood for something fast. "How about Rainbow?" he asked stopping on that song looking back at Alex for his apporval. He hadn't played the song in a while and wondered how rusty he was.

[srry for the wait >< been a little busy not able to post much.]

Alex just laughed a bit, shrugging. "I don't really think so." He said. He was sure there were tons of people out there that were better than he was. He just sat back as Damien picked out a song. "Sure, that sounds good." He said, smiling a bit at the choice. He was quite good at that one, so he was excited to show off what little skills he thought he had. It truth though, he was very good, probably just as good, if not better than (At least at this song) as Damien.

((It's fine, It seems everyone had been pretty busy lately.))

Damien was pretty sure of that about himself as well, but since he hadn't met these other people better than him he always assumed he was the best. A quality of his gained from playing football, for what he thought was all of his life. "Alright." he held down the start button bringing up the options. He couldn't play expert[or the game at all] with all the arrows scrunched up so he usually sped them up by adjusting the speed to 2x. He waited a couple seconds for Alex to adjust any properties he wanted before allowing the song to start.

Alex just sat back and waited for Damien to adjust the settings. He had never really bothered with changing them, he had just learned to deal with the arrows coming when they did. He scrolled down so that he was ready to go when Damien pressed start. He smiled and waited for the song to start. He was so excited about actually playing with someone. it would be better because then if someone started watching, they wouldn't just be watching him, they would be looking back and forth between the two of them.

Damien hated the arrows when they were so bunched up. He couldnâ??t read them that wayâ?¦it was confusing and annoying to him. When the beat started he began moving to the beat. The arrows started scrolling up the screen and his feet began moving. He was a little rusty with the song so the first string of continuous arrows he kind of missed getting goods, boos, and almosts. He chuckled softly running his fingers through his which had drooped over his eyes.

Alex couldn't help but smirk as the arrows started moving up the screen. He was so excited about actually playing with someone. He moved to the beat barely missing any at all as he jumped about nimbly. He was glad he was so small, less weight to move about. He did surprisingly well considering how long it had been since he played last. He kept playing and by the time the game was over he had gotten an A and he wasn't even out of breath. He didn't even look at the other's screen, only looking right at him, smiling a bit. "It's much more fun with someone else." He said with a grin.

"Yeah it is..." It was. He had no one back at home to play with whenever he was in the mood to hop around. His parents were obviously not gonna do it, and his servants weren't good enough. He didn't have the patience to teach someone how to play--epecially if they didn't have any rythymn, because if he wasn't mistaken having rythymn was key to playing the game. When they were finished playing the three rounds, Damien rested up against the support beam in the back of them, you could hold onto if needed. His overall score was a B. He would have had an A if he hadn't screwed up so bad on the first song. A sudden vibration caused the male to reach into his pocket to grab his phone. Looking at the message on it he sighed. His father wanted him to come home. He wondered why. Looking over toward Alex he sighed. "I gotta go Alex. My pops is hounding me down again. He's probably paranoid I crashed his car or something." he said with a laugh. "So, you want me to drop you off home?"

After Damien replied Alex was off in his own little world of bliss. He hadn't had this much fun in quite a long time. Granted he did get along with everyone, but he never let anyone get too close, at least not any closer than the majority of people got. He continued to just jump nimbly about, not really paying attention to the slowly growing crowd. It was a good thing that he didn't, otherwise he probably would have gotten shy and quit. He smiled as he saw his score. He had gotten an A and was quite proud of it. He looked over quickly as Damien reached into his pocket. He looked a bit worried as he sighed, and as he head Damien had to leave he was a bit sad. They were having so much fun. He nodded and as he did he finally noticed the crowd waiting to see if they were going to play again. He took a small step foward so he didn't have to speak so loud to Damien. "Sure, that would be awesome." He said. Smiling a bit.

Damien hadn't noticed the crowd either and as he turned to step down off the game he bumped into another person nearly knocking them down. As the male stumbled back, Damien stared him down frowning a bit. He was waiting. For what? An apology. Damien didn't apologize for other people's ignorance. The other looked him dead in the eyes and for a full fifteen seconds[which felt like forever] they gave each other the evil eye. The area that surrounded them was silent as they anticipated them to fight. Damien smiled with his chin high. He knew he was far more superior than the other and his confidence which was more like a strong cockiness, radiated from his very being. A trait he no doubt inherited from his narcissistic father. "Watch where you're going..." Damian nearly snarled. "Yeah, sorry..." even though the bump was completely Damien's fault the victim of his short temper saw that he was getting ready to tackle him to the floor. Damien looked back at Alex as the crowd started disperse. "C'mon..." he said with a small smile before he headed toward the exit of the arcade. Eventually they made it outside and into his car. Once they were inside and safely strapped to their seats he began pulled out of the parking spot.

"So, where do you live?"
