Kai had heard all sorts of stories about this place when he was a child. There were monsters, dragons, fairies, all sorts of things here. Of course, they were all just stories meant to keep a young boy out of the forest. Even if his parents owned it, and stories were cautionary, the forest was still dangerous. When he was younger, he may well have wandered in and become lost forever. Now however, he was old enough and careful enough that nothing like that could hurt him. And since his parents passed, the place was now Kai's. He hadn't really done anything with it yet, busy with college, but now that he was off for the summer, he was curious, he wanted to explore the little section of forest he owned. The place that had seemed so mysterious and dangerous to him as a kid. Now, it was just something that belonged to him. Rumors said his great grandparents had hidden some part of their wealth there, but he didn't really mean to find it, just explore. He brought with him just a bit of food, and a canteen full of water, wearing simple jeans and a red t-shirt, his brown hair blowing slightly in the wind, as he got off the path, and entered the forest.

Indeed, there was a forest of deep-seeded mystery, that of which many men attempted to uncover and many more never came out to tell of what they saw. The creatures of myth and legend would indeed roam about, though they were mainly seen deep into the night, when the moon was high and the stars were like tiny guiding lights through the covering of the trees. However, on this day, young Celeste could be seen fluttering amongst the strange flowers deep within the forest. A deep, blue aura surrounded her miniature form, that of which was hard to fully see when one was just passing by. To some, she was just a glimmer of light out of the corner of their fatigued minds. To even less, she was a little goddess. However, she was shifty, and unable to be caught, those beautiful wings carrying her delicate form easily out of harm when necessary. Being a warm Summer day, Celeste found herself needing something to drink, and the stream within the forest was the easiest and most accessible place for her to relax and refresh a bit. Sitting her glistening form on a rock nearby to this calm body of water, the fairy would dip down only for a moment to get what she pleased, before returning to her place.

Kai decided following the stream would be the easiest way to explore the place. After all, it was a natural path, it was easier to walk around, there was plenty of water if he grew thristy, and if he got lost, he could simply follow it out. He followed if for a few hours before he found anything that interested him, but if he'd known a bit more about botany, he'd notice that plenty of the flowers growing around here were quite rare. But rising from the stream, he saw a small glowing light. He blinked, thinking he was imagining it at first, but then he saw it again. Not just a light, but a tiny, beautiful woman, who seemed to fly up to a rock. Was he halucinating? "Hello?" he asked slowly, as he approached the rock.

The innocent-looking fairy would cock her head just a little bit, considering she didn't need to do too terribly much to see the massive male that now stood before her. Eying him suspiciously before he was able to get a full look at her, she would fly down from the rock, somewhat observing him from the petals of a particularly lovely flower. She intended on knowing of his intent, first, before she decided whether or not it was safe to be around him. Her tiny wings glistening even when they paused for her to stand, Celeste would push several strands of fallen locks before her face while she waited to see what he would do. Was he a friend, or no?

Kai stared down at the little girl, tilting her head curiously. Again he blinked, moving his hands to rub at his eyes. No matter what he did, when he opened them again there she was, staring at him from a bloomed flower. Just standing there and... staring right at him, not saying a word. He figured she probably couldn't speak, too small, or perhaps she just never learned English. Kai didn't know what to do, approaching her slowly on the flower pedastal on which she stood, offering his finger to her slowly, like a lady bug, offering to let her climb aboard.

As her curiosity would overwhelm her, Celeste would accept his offer to stand upon his extended finger, gentle feet padding softly against his flesh. She continued to look up at the human, observing, waiting. What was she supposed to say? How's the weather up there? Deep blue wings would stop their fluttering, the delicate creature taking a few steps forward until she was situated within his hand. He wasn't bad looking, really. At least, not from this angle. Now, what did he intend on doing with her, exactly?

He couldn't help but let out a rather girlish giggle as the fairy walked slowly up his finger. It tickled his skin in a way he couldn't explain, like she was dancing slowly up his skin. He turned his hand slightly, offering her his entire palm if she liked, and slowly raising her up to eye level, trying not to startle her, but wanting to examine her closely. She did look like a tiny little girl, little curves on her body, and little blue wings, that he knew she could fly with. "Can you understand me?" he asked slowly, clearly excited by her. "Nod if you can please." he said, watching her little head with rapt attention.

She was wondering what exactly she was doing to amuse him so, considering he was laughing like such. So much for a big, strong man. He sounded like he could be used and abused rather easily, if one really wanted to try it. As he would raise her up, those intricate blue wings would fall back a bit, her head cocking to one side when she was at his eye-level. Was she really all that interesting? Celeste would nod her head, wondering how long he was going to go about thinking that she couldn't speak Common.

She could even understand him! Unless she'd nodded by conincidence.. but no, the motion was to controlled, she'd really heard him. She didn't seem to be able to speak, but maybe he just couldn't hear her. Or perhaps she could, who knew? He slowly moved so that his hands covered her entire body, trapping her for a moment, than moved them back. He wondered if he could keep her in a bottle or something, though trapping her seemed a bit cruel. He tried to turn her around, wanting to get a good look at those wings, seeming absolutely facinated.

When his hands moved to try and entrap his body, even for a moment, she began to feel a bit apprehensive, a bit panicked, a deep blue aura appearing beneath his hands as her form would show such feelings. Then, he opened his hands up once again. What in the world was he trying to do? Give her a damn heart attack? She stood there still, regaining her breath and her composure once he had lifted away his entrapment, ready to flee were he to try such again.

He noted how nervous she got as he moved her hands around her, almost like she might fall right off his finger. There was a noticible change in the glow to, he'd definately scared her. If he was going to capture her, it would have to in one swift motion, or she'd fly away, but he didn't really have anything to trap her with... Still he could hardly believe his eyes, he at least wanted a picture or something of this tiny beautiful girl on his finger. Were there more like her? "How did a little thing like you get here?" he mused, mostly to himself, as he took another slow drink from his cantine, wondering if she'd fit inside if it were empty.

How would he feel, were he size and so easily able to capture? Of course, she could move far faster than he ever could. She could disappear within the blink of an eye, only a few glimpses left behind in her wake. Considering his musing, she would ignore him, still standing idly upon his still finger as he would drink so eagerly. She had little to say to him, until she figured out his intentions. Was he here to hunt, and just happened to stumble upon her out of a casual mistake? Or did he know of her, the kinds of creatures that would dwell within the forest, and he had full intention of trying to use her for his will?

He continued to drink, until the container was empty. Not wise to drink so much so fast, but he was right next to the stream, and could refill... Or... He looked at her, than the top of the container, she'd fit through... but it would be rather tight. And if she got away... well, with those wings, she might be like a bug, agile, escape easily. He'd have to be fast. He raised the cantine in one had, feeling her on the other. "I never believed in faries, not sure if I believe now... but here you are." He mused out loud.

She watched him slowly, carefully, thinking out all of his movements as he would act them out so flawlessly. However, she figured that he was just still in a state of amazement at her stunning beauty, and more-than-likely her delicate frame and size. Oh, if he only knew of her true nature. Doubting he would ever know, she would give him a slight glance before turning herself about, talking gently and easily over to the edge of his finger as if she were about to fly off and leave him standing there.

Seeing her turn around, as if she might leap off and fly into the wind, and he might never see her again. She was still there though, and the cantine was just above her. Quickly, he moved it down, trying to get it just partially around her, just enough so that she couldn't fly away. He felt bad doing it, but he'd let her go later. For now... he had to prove to himself she was real.

The sudden darkness alone was enough to frighten her, considering it was far unlike that of the usual night skies she was used to. Pushing against the object, surmising it was indeed the male's canteen, she proved to be of little avail. Frightened and surprised, she did not know what to do within his entrapment, and simply fluttered her wings in a sort of panic, glowing brightly.

For a second, Kai couldn't believe he'd done it. For another, he couldn't believe it worked, as he saw the faint blue glow even through the container. He must be going mad, but if he was, there was really no problem with what he was doing, right? Slowly, he turned the canteen upside down, so she'd fall the rest of the way in. He held his fingers over the top, as he grabbed the cap and tried to get it on.

She couldn't believe he'd done it, either. More to the point, she couldn't believe that she was naive enough to fall for it. Or was she? She would glow indeed, but as soon as he turned the canteen upside down she would tumble roughly to the bottom of the moist vessel. Feeling her body grow wet from the little water that was still left inside, Celeste inwardly grumbled with frustration. It would be hard to put up a tremendous fight with water wings.

He screwed the cap on, still quite surprised with himself, inside... was either a fairy, or a figment of his imagination. He didn't think about the effect the water would have on her wings, though he could have guessed it pretty easily. He just stood there, staring for a few moments, before he turned around, heading back to civilization and his place, wondering if the fairy realy existed... and what he was going to do with it.

Most certainly not a figment of his imagination, the tiny female inside would not fight the situation, rather she would rely on the fact that he would have to open up the canteen eventually. And when he would, she would simply fly away. What was he going to do to her, anyway? After all, there was very little that he could do with something as small as her. Of course, were she to become bigger, perhaps that would even aid in her escape.

It took the boy a little over an hour to make it back to his home, where he quickly left the fairy on a table, looking for something he could keep her in. He knew she'd almost certainly fly away if he opened the container, and didn't want her to, at least not right away. He was going to let her go eventually, honest, but he wanted some tangible proof she existed first. Eventually, he settled on a large, cleaned out pickle jar. Not even vaugely idea, but it was sterile, and once he poked some holes in the lead for air, was sure it wouldn't suffocate her. Slowly, he screwed off the lid, then quickly took the lid off the cantene, placing the open end of the pickle jar over it, waiting for her to fly inside.

During that time in which the male seemed to be making his way homeward, Celeste had little else to do but wait for her wings to dry while she tried to think of what in the world he could possibly have in mind for her. Once his trek had stopped and she felt her entrapment being handled with more care, she could only guess what he was about to do with her now. Soon enough, a light shown through the top of the canteen, that of which seemed to be somewhat distorted by something else. Seeing as it simply had to be better then being within a moist watering vessel, Celeste fluttered the remaining moisture from her wings and flew upwards, right into that damnable jar that he was now going to observe her in.

The moment she entered the jar, he turned it around so that it was right side up, the slightest bit of water dripping into the jar on top of her, before he slammed the lid onto the jar, and slowly screwed it on. She was real... or at least, he was still imagining her. Slowly, he took his camera, and as soon as she got up again, took a picture. He had to make sure she would show up, so that he wasn't going crazy, and he could prove what he'd seen. If he didn't decide to keep it his little secret.
