It's that time of year again where I sort of play with cake flavors.
I wanted to get a test cake in to see if it met my standards for a family Thanksgiving.
And I didn't really want to make a typical pumpkin or apple sort of flavor.
Spoiler Alert: This was amazing. Total pass!
I'll only be changing a few things, mainly the size of the cake, layers, how much icing I make,
and things like that. But the flavor was on point and I wouldn't change any of that.
I'm definitely happy about this win!
So it's a spiced cake.
I made a simple syrup with vanilla and cinnamon and brushed that over my cake layers.
The filling is made with peaches and brown sugar.
Icing: a homemade cream cheese.
