Young Gods ( Cyrano x Daleeria)

Jaide looked around the room. She could see evidence of the work; new wood, new paint, all that good shit, but what really drew her to look hard around the room were all the little details about the pair that occupied it. These people were different from the Jax and Scar she had left behind. Sure, with JJ they had become family people, but they had the support network to still be hoodrats if they so wished. Many a night had Kate taken JJ while she, Jax and Scar made their party appearances. Jax still had to work for his money even back then, but it was simpler when you didn't have a crown on your head.

Now though, throughout the bit of the house she had paid attention to, she saw much more of a family man and woman making their way in the world. This room was their throne room. This is where the could go to fuss, fuck and fight, where they could sit and bemoan the realities of wearing said crowns. Jaide felt like an outsider in this room. That made his rule to stay out of it unless invited so much easier to follow for her.

Then again, any rule was easy to follow when Jax fucked said rules into her. This wasn't as frenzied as their fuck last night, but she was raw enough that his dick even at a normal pace was overwhelming her senses. "Y-Yes Jax- oh fuck baby right there! -I'll be a good girl this time, I promise!" her promise was punctuated by her cumming. Jaide actually even washed the leaking cum away. "I don't want my kids only identifying me by me smelling like one of your whores..."

Surprisingly, Scarlet came up to meet them first before they could even find clothes, looking Jaide up and down with a hungry look but walking straight past her to the closet and pulling out a box that she had buried deep under shit she knew Jax would never ever look. "I saved some shit for you, pulled it out of storage earlier in the week and meant to bring it to you... but obviously Jax got to you first..." It wasn't much, just a box of old clothes that might still fit, some old personal belongings Kate would have thrown out if Scarlet hadn't salvaged everything first. Jaide looked at the box and then back at the woman.

"I figured all this shit would be gone by now... Long time to keep shit for a woman you were trying not to think of," Jaide teased lightly, smacking Scarlet's ass as she started to dig through it.

"I'm a masochist, anyways I came up to tell you guys lunch is almost ready," Scarlet kissed Jaide's cheek before turning to Jax and giving him a full on tongue-in-mouth kiss, something she tried to avoid especially in front of Izzy. Didn't need the little future thot getting early ideas. Just as quickly as she had come, Scarlet was gone back down the stairs at the sound of a wail.

Jaide smirked at Jax, nodding as the red head dashed back to her motherly duties. Izzy was very very loud. "I'm pretty sure the dead could hear that child, definitely gets that from her mama... Thank you for letting me come back Jax. I know this isn't going to be easy, but I swear I'm better now and I'm just going to keep getting better. For the kids, and for you and Scar. I can't break Scar's heart like that again. Just... if I do fuck up I want you to promise me one thing. Bullet in my head, my body in the desert. I never want to see the bottom of that pit again, and I didn't deserve to live the first time... I'm glad you didn't, and I'm glad I get this second chance, but even I know I don't deserve this second chance..."

Meanwhile, downstairs, Izzy was throwing her little tantrum that she always did when there were no parents around to be worshipping her. Sure, JJ was good at giving her distractions, but that only lasted as long as she realized Scarlet wasn't still in the kitchen or out back on the grill. She had spotted her mother's hair in the living room again and then heard someone going up the stairs and her toddler math could only equal out Scar leaving them too. Scar hit the bottom of the steps and walked over to the couch to pick Izzy up. "Thanks for keeping an eye on her, JJ, but it's time to pause your game and clean up for lunch okay?" Scar kissed his curly head and JJ nodded.

"I'm almost done with this fight and then I'll get off!" JJ dropped his grin, the one that was so much like Jax's. Scar had to worry for a second about the type of ladies man he was going to turn into if he was already this smooth.

"You better, dad and mom were getting dressed and if the food's at the table before you are, you know dad's rules..." they were just Kate's rules after all. Kate was a creature of habit. If she said dinner was almost ready and you didn't hit the table before the food, there was a chance you weren't getting food. This was mostly instilled in the boys when they were gaming or watching shows... if they were out working, she'd always save Jax a plate. That was a different scenario, but just fucking around and having fun?

By the time Jaide came down with Jax's arm wrapped around her, clean and feeling a hundred times better than when she had walked in the door, Izzy was in her high chair between Jax's seat at the head of the table and Scar's place at his right hand. JJ was on the left hand side opposite of Izzy, waiting for his food and parents patiently. Jaide walked past into the kitchen and out the back door where Scar was plating up a bunch of burgers and started helping her almost immediately. This was her first meal back, and she needed something to keep her hands busy to keep her from all the emotions that were turned up in her soul. Scar looked so beautiful. Jax looked perfect... Everything, for the first time in a long time, was alright for Jaide...

For the first time in a long time, everything felt like it was alright. The Trio was back together, business was running smoothly without any bullshit from competition, corner crews, or plugs. For the first time since Jax had gone up the coast, things were starting to feel like they were supposed to. Everything else since then was just a memory, and they could get back to where they had always planned on being together. The King and his two Queens. Jax, a man with so much power it overflowed out of both hands. When those same hands weren't occupied by his Queens. Those first three days that Jaide was back was the longest that Jax had gone without sleeping with another woman, the two of them kept him more than satisfied.

Besides the fucking, which they had never been particularly subtle with, they did their best to keep Jaide's return on the downlow. Making a big deal out of it would be just too much drama for them at this point, and until there was a reason for Jaide to need to make a big splash they were avoiding her making any ripples at all. Which meant that for two days while she had the best sex of her life and got to work out any other tensions she had on the equipment Scar had set up in the laundry room-basement combo, but after two days pretty much home by herself she started to get a little stir crazy. So on the third day she decided to make some ripples.

The last few mornings she had stayed home and made breakfast while Scar went out on the morning walk, but this time she had her walking shoes tied on and was ready to go for a spin around the block. Jax was sleeping off a late night at the club handling some business. It was weird that he actually had a real job that involved wearing a suit and handling payroll and shit. At least to keep those appearances up when tax time came around.

"You kiss his balls for my baby?" Jaide said before kissing Scar good morning and grabbing her ass. It was going to be a good day.

The hood hadn't changed much in the time since she had been gone.

Still 4.5 blocks from Water Street to Gayle's house in the cul-de-sac. The Squib's was somehow still standing, with most of the fallen soldiers and used condoms missing from the parking lot and that weird 'not courtyard' thing where the girls who weren't photogenic turned their tricks. Apparently having Scar get a little bit of responsibility had cleaned some shit up. The bar next to the Squib's was doing pretty good business, but the second she saw it Jaide turned them around. She'd copped too many times in the bathrooms there to want to go back. Of course, there weren't many spots around this place where she didn't have a memory of being high.

Foil was blowing in the wind beside the tunnel, and the smell of H was coming up out of the tunnel from the bums that had gotten an early start to their day. All Jaide needed to do though was link pinkies with her favorite porn star and shove another stick of gum into her mouth and she was good to go. The liquor store was still there, with riot bars up, and just down the street was Scozio's Delicatessen , third generation Italian store on an Irish block. The current owner's little girl was about JJ's age and had Downs. A little bit further down and across the street was the tailor's where every boy went for their two suits. One for funerals, one for court dates. The storefronts were looking a little better than they had when she'd left, bouncing back from the Recession.

Standing on the block about the make the spin around to head back to the not-trap house, Jaide spat out her old piece of gum and slipped number seven in, casually stimming her free fingers.

"Did I tell you they didn't sell this brand out on the Rez - oh fuck." Jaide's stimming hand went to the revolver at the small of her back as Kate walked out of the back of the liquor store with a trash bag in each hand.

Izzy bounced in her stroller while Scarlet laced up her running shoes shortly after JJ was put on the bus that took him to the private school Scarlet had researched for weeks and fought so hard to convinced Jax to let their kids go to. She just wanted a better life for them, and she knew that sending JJ to Oak Hills was as good as turning him into his dad. Naturally, Scarlet couldn't just dress like a normal mom. She needed everyone to know who she was as she strutted Jax's baby girl across the hood. Between that and the yoga pants that gripped her ass, she had no illusions she wouldn't get cat called.

When Jaide came out wearing walking shoes and asking to go with, Scar took a deep breath. She already knew they were going to stir some shit up today. Guess better now than later. The longer she and Jax sat on this secret just trying to hog Jaide to themselves, the worse the fall out could be.

The streets were quiet this morning.

Normally Scar had plenty of people to wave to along her path, but it seemed like everyone else was sleeping in a little or already out for their day. She pushed Izzy along while Jaide walked next to them, chatting about how some things never changed. "Joan giving me power has really shown me how much of an effect I can have on the neighborhood, even for places that have been around since ancient times like The Squib's motel. Now I can walk the kids around safely..."

However not everyone had started their day late. Scar spotted Kate at the moment Jaide dropped her F-Bomb... How fitting that Kate be the first besides Ty to know..."Welp. Come on, time to face all the demons and saints of 13th Street..."

It started as a morning like any other for Kate. Awake at five in the morning with her bag of weed at the kitchen table rolling her work joints, sipping on Jameson laced coffee and playing her old CDs on the small stereo she kept in the kitchen. Even in the 90's there weren't radio shows that started that early, but Kate did. Even though her face had changed, her style hadn't evolved even a little. She was still rocking 90s grunge band t-shirts (today's was a Pearl Jam tank top), hip hugging jeans, and oversized flannels that belonged to John at one point. Most of his clothes were still in her closet despite the time and fact she had now slept with another man on a casual basis...

The only time Kate had ever slept in was if John kept her trapped in bed- or once he was gone, if she drank beyond even her limits as an alcoholic and didn't get up until noon. Other than that she was an early bird. Benjy had been the same way for the most part. Old Man Ramage-their father - hadn't been much for waking them up for school. He had a store to run early in the morning, and if they were late for school he'd make them walk. And both were too lazy to walk to school and still have the attention span to participate in their schooling.

After forty years of early morning shakings, Kate was just hardwired this way now.

Kate thought forty would feel differently, but Jax and Jaide had taken the earmark of grandparenting away from her by having JJ so young. The bright spot about being a teen mother who's child was also a teen father was that she had ample energy for the grandbabies and for the trials that were ahead of them when Jax went inside.

The mother knew something was up. When she had talked on the phone with Jax the day before he sounded different- still the King she had raised, only stronger, happier. That made her carry her head a little higher that morning as she opened the corner store and did her chores. Coolers were stocked, snacks were put on the shelves for all the school students that'd be rolling up to the bus stop. Chances were even back in her day if you were running down to the bus stop in front of the Ramages, you probably missed breakfast. Once the kids filtered through, she stocked the cigarettes and started the real part of her day. Every smoker and drinker came early for the first fix of the day. Jacinta popped her head to chit chat and buy more liqour. Even Ty popped in for a morning energy drink because even though Jax was sleeping in because of working the club, his boys still had jobs to do.

Kate had a joint in her mouth and garbage bags in her hand as she came out the back to throw the empty boxes into the dumpster, as well as another part of her daily routine-
greeting Scar as she jogged her DDD tiddies past the store. To be a good porn star you had to treat a body right. Kate understood this being best friends with Joan.

However today something was very different. Scarlet wasn't alone and Kate's jaw fell open enough that the joint fell to the ground.

Scarlet looked at Jaide and then at Kate. Izzy screeched from her stroller. "GRAMMAAAAAAA!!" And started to squirm in her seat the moment she noticed her fourth favorite person in the whole world- Jax, JJ, and Uncle Ty being her top three so far. That instantly dissolved Kate's tension as she tossed the garbage in the dumpster and picked up her smoke before stalking over to the girls. The elder Jackson picked Izzy out of the stroller. She knew herself well enough to know she wouldn't be tempted to pull her own revolver out from under the flannel she was wearing.

"Hey there Izzy bear, you walking with mama today? Where's JJ?" Kate pointedly asked the little red head.

"Skull!!" Izzy couldn't say school quite right yet.

Kate's eyes flickered to Jaide. "Heard you were back in town. Wasn't sure if I believed you were that stupid or not..." her tone was hard, despite the fact she was excited to see Jaide alive and looking apparently happy and healthy. Kate had been there to raise Jaide since her mother had married and moved when Jaide was nearly ten or eleven. Kate couldn't stand the thought of Jaide and Jacob being separated at the time. "I got to get back to work. Come see me at the house tonight."

Without further fuss, Kate walked away, taking Izzy with her.

"Um Kate, can I have my child back?"

"fuck no, she's mine now, you can have her back when I'm bored!" Kate smirked and dashed into the store with Izzy squealing in delight.

Scar stared at the now closed back door as it locked and over at Jaide. "Well. She didn't murder you. Just stole our kid so..." there was a hopeful look on the red heads face.

Kate always knew. She always found out.

Those had been rules to live by for Jaide for most of her life, same with Jax. There weren't many things that you couldn't do in the Street that Kate Ramage wouldn't find out about. Either from her spy network of drunks, bums and junkies that frequented her store every morning, or through her other grape vines of information. Apparently there was a lot of hot gossip done around gun deals because no one could do a fucking thing without Kate hearing about it. Now as younguns, that hadn't been too much of a problem for Jaide and Jax, just meant they could run wild and do their dirt without having to try to hide it from the woman taking care of them. If she was going to find out anyway, then you might as well go big before you had to go home right?

They'd run the streets with that mindset for more than a minute. Jax taking his beat-in. Jax running his first girls. Jax running the corners. Jax fucking every willing hole in a three mile radius. Jax and Jaide running scrimmages against Los Vagos and in Water Tunnel. Jax and Jaide doing their first drive-by together, Jaide had even wrote a little rap about it that she'd hummed at a few dice games that they'd played. Rolling bones and bumping uglies were the two main ways to occupy your time in-between getting high and fighting. The whole time just screaming their antics for the world to whisper them in Kate's ear. Which meant Jaide knew that this confrontation was coming, and that there were a lot of ways it could go that weren't in her favor.

Once Kate had gone with Izzy Jaide just stood there, sort of processing the entire situation. Yep, there were emotions. Definite emotions were being had, but she wasn't sure what they were or how best to describe them. She was sure that she hadn't wanted to shoot her son's grandfather, and she was pretty sure that Kate didn't want to shoot her. Which was an improvement on where she had last checked. She was suspicious of how Kate had come to hear about her being back, seeing as how only the tightest people in the circle knew that she had gotten closer than Oakwood, but that wasn't really the problem right now. The problem was what Scar had just said, gripping Scar Jaide pressed her up against the brickwall of the liquor store a smile on her face and curly brown hair in her face.

"Say that again for me, say it nice and slooooow."

For the longest time, Scar couldn't figure out how Kate seemed to know everything the moment it happened. Scar could do something with seemingly no witnesses and Kate would still call herself on it a few hours later.

Scar leaned forward, resting her lips against Jaide's ear, making it sound like the most sexual thing she had ever said. "Our kids are both busy with school and babysitter... So why don't I show you something real neat, baby?"

It was time to start introducing Jaide to the world around them again. Her phone came up to her ear suddenly, number three on her speed dial being hit. "Hey, Nicky are you busy? I need a ride over to the studio, and I have a friend with me that I'm sure wouldn't mind seeing your face. Meet me at the house in like... Ten minutes?" Scar took no more than a minute and a half to get off the phone. "I think it's time you see the Queen's throne. Besides, I have a friend I want you to meet. You'll love her."

Scarlet got them both home, ditching the stroller on the front porch and going back to the kitchen to grab a water and rehydrate after the walk. "I'll show you my office, and you'll probably see Joan. If Kate knows, obviously Joan knows..." it was time to start adapting Jaide to certain aspects of their lives now, one of them being the studio and the changes it had brought for the red haired Queen. She had once wanted to share this part of her with Jaide but Jaide had blown up like a bomb... Now though she'd have no right. And if she had an opinion about it, Scar could remind her the only reason she got to know these things was because Scar had managed to sway Jax and get Jaide back in their lives. "I have my own office now. Being a boss has its perks."

For a moment Jaide was at the top of the world. Scar's hot breath against her ear, their bodies pressed together again, and the words, they were just what she needed to hear. This had always been the dream, Jaide and Scar, both the moms for the man that they loved. Together, with no secrets and nothing in between them. It was them and their man against the world and they were going to take the world for all it was worth. This was all she had ever wanted, all that time she was out on the Rez, and before when she had been getting her fix straight from the pharmacy or copping from some girls at parties. She had told herself she wanted to get high, to feel good, to stop the pain, but those had all been the other Jaide, the Addict, all the real her had wanted was this.

And to be a Queen.

But, when Scar called Nicky and made the decision that she was going to be shown around the studio. To see some of the work that she was doing to launder Jax's money. To meet with Nicky Takahashi again for the first time in years. Those words, words that couldn't be taken back once spoken, brought Jaide back to the moment of her own words from so long ago. Those words that had led to everything bad that had happened to Jaide after. If Jaide hadn't pushed Scarlet away she would've been strong enough to get sober. She had to tell herself that, or it would make her question everything she was doing with her own sobriety again and again. The anxiety was back with the memories, and all the way back to the house Jaide kept on the happy face she had been wearing when Scar first said the words 'our kids'.

"Oh that's really cool! Pretty much like running your own shop [drug corner]? You're not filming today right?" Jaide was pacing. Then stopping. Then leaning against the wall, one foot up like she was a devil without a care, then pacing again, them jamming her thumb into the gap between her two front teeth, doing everything in her power to look like she was cool with things. She'd been groomed for the crown since she was seven-damn-years old! She could spot a move when it was made in front of her. She had been trained to spot when people did things like that cause it meant that they could be making a move, and could be making one against your man. Either Scar did it on purpose because she knew that Jaide would see it, or she thought that she was so above her that she could do it and Jaide wouldn't notice!

WHY WERE THE STAIRS CREAKING!?

"What's good with Daddy's three favorite ladieeeees?" Jax asked as he jumped the last two rickety steps. Hernan had looked over every single step twice after Izzy's birthday party, making sure they were ready for a young toddler to making her way up it. They weren't perfect, but they'd do, so there was a lot of creeking and some steps you'd rather skip over than put your full weight on. No hanging nails though.

Jaide froze. Jax would recognize the move if he knew what she said. And he might take it out on Scar.

"Nicky's swinging by to take us shopping, then we're meeting with a friend. Scar who was it we were meeting again?"

Outside, Nicky's incredibly decaled car was pulling up in front of the house, having done a u-turn in the Street to get them facing the right direction without needing to back out of the driveway. That way they wouldn't get into a spot where the car was pinned down on almost every side. You didn't want to pull into any place where you couldn't drive through the yard or the dirt to get out. IF you could only go one way with a car then you would need to walk to bail out. There was a reason Nicky was the guy who drove Jax around, same as he was the guy who drove Gayle around while Jax was up the coast and his dad was getting LASIK. He honked the horn, but didn't send any text, that way if either of them was bugged the other wouldn't be. Another protection.

Kate
Few things made Kate feel relevant than holding her and John's grandchildren. John had fought and died for the Peace, and even though Jax had ended up branding himself at least JJ and Izzy would live a much better life and have a chance of getting out of the Game their parents played. With JJ, it had felt different. He was a boy, and she was a boy mom. She knew what to do even when Scar and Jaide got lost. And she knew John would have adored the boy more than his own son... But Kate had always wished for a girl out of John. It was the one thing they had been working on before his death. Her whole need to see him and Jax teach baby girl how to fight men twice her size still lingered.

Izzy was that girl that Kate had wished for and more, the perfect little princess that stole the hearts of the grown men in her life. John would have murdered for her. Kate knew Jax would have to murder for her at some point. She was Scarlet's daughter through and through, and that was going to mean trouble for the family. Kate's only hope was that she would be more like Scar and less like Jax in her body count.

Kate knew what Jax was meant to be the moment she first saw that 13 tattooed on his arm. The moment he started flying the colors his father flew was the moment Kate had to accept that maybe the change she had hoped for died with John. So yeah, she had taken Jaide under her wing and made sure she knew how to handle a crown. Kate had never worn one of her own, but she knew what Jax would need to survive and she wanted Jaide to have all the tools to handle that.

Jaide's mom had been one of Kate's best friends, this was true. And Jaide was important to Jacob... But her adoration for Jaide went well beyond that. Kate saw Jaide as her true daughter, the one she never got to have. Jaide was beautiful, and street smart. Her warrior spirit was something Kate admired. Losing her had felt like Kate's greatest failure as a parent. She couldn't even see what was going on.

No, even worse she had turned a blind eye to it and told herself as long as JJ was safe that everything else was irrelevant. Kate could blame herself for the fire, and the fallout, as much as she could blame Jaide or Jax being in prison for it.

Kate looked at her phone on the counter. It was slow, business was dragging and she really just wanted to have a conversation with Jax and see where his head was at before she even talked to Jaide. So she used the baby in her arms as bait and took a selfie. In the text she said: "I've kidnapped your daughter. Bring a ransom of a number 2 combo from Rowdy's, extra Rowdy's sauce with the fries and a root beer the old Ramage Liquor store or she'll be sleeping with the fishes!" and sent a second picture of Izzy held over the playpen that had a bunch of fish stuffed animals in it. There was a smirk on her face as she bounced Izzy on her hip and shipped the text off to her son.

Scar Law

All the moves that Jaide was pacing over were moves that Scar had never even considered. The red head just wanted Jaide to see what she had built for their family, she wanted her woman to be proud of her and the throne she made for herself, quite literally leaving Jaide's throne open for her if Jax ever let her back in. This was Scar trying to prance her around the studio and show everyone that she's whole again. Jaide's pacing and stressing worried her though. "Yeah it's a lot like running my own shop, only it's a lot bigger than that... It's not just like running a corner, but porn is really it's own drug. I still have to get security to hit some tweakers sometimes, I still have to watch out for cops. There's a lot of risk.... But no, I'm not shooting today. I wouldn't do that to you..."

The creaking of the steps made Scar stop and smile. Ah good, she was about to get help with her slightly evil plan. Scar looked up at Jax as he came down the stairs. "Well, actually there's only two of us now. Some drunk woman knabbed her out of the stroller and all. I was too lazy to chase after her. I'm sure there'll be a ransom note soon enough," now clearly, she was teasing. She made sure there wasn't an ounce of seriousness in her voice, but what really sold the show was Jax's phone buzzing with Kate's little ransom pictures and text. The timing couldn't have been more perfect, unintentional or not.

When Jaide asked about the friend she had mentioned was when she got to see the full terror of a whole new look she had never seen: Scar's full powered mischief grin.

Those succubus colored eyes flicked over to Jax as she wrapped her arms around the muscled man and kissed up his neck, whispering one name in his ear. "Calli~" you could hear the sing song in her voice as she kissed Jax. When she grabbed her purse and strutted past her girlfriend, Scar batted her eyelashes innocently at Jaide. "Don't worry, Calli doesn't bite too hard. Unless you beg her for it."

The honk of the horn cut through their discussion on blonde spinners and the trouble they could cause. "Nicky's driving us, figured he'd be the easiest one to smooth things over with. You got plans for the day baby? I'm planning on grilling steaks for dinner, so try to be home by 6 if your mom and daughter try to get you into any trouble..."

WIth that, the constantly moving Queen was out the door heading to Nicky's car.

Jax

"I've kidnapped your daughter. Bring a ransom of a number 2 combo from Rowdy's, extra Rowdy's sauce with the fries and a root beer the old Ramage Liquor store or she'll be sleeping with the fishes!"

From the minute JJ had been born Kate had been stockpiling baby toys the same way she stockpiled bullets, bandages and boxes of canned food. The first fish hadn't been suspicious, all kids love sharks after all, and the second one had been a seat turtle. It wasn't until Izzy came around the he had realized that she had turned the playpen into a tiny aquarium. The Godfather joke had been an inevitability from that point on.

The perplexed look on baby Izzy's face and being held over the pile of plushies brought a smile to Jax's face. Any police officer looking in at the intimate texts of a mother and son's personal phones might find themselves equally perplexed at how normal and domestic that the two psychopaths seemed. Both of their files on the HCPD virtual database had hyperlinks to the most prolific mass killer in Jefferson history.

One might call Jax's thoughts drifting to police surveillance paranoia, but it was only paranoia if they weren't out to get you.

The couch in the living room creaked as he dropped into it, letting it carry some of the weight for a moment as he allowed the picture of his daughter to soothe his soul. He had never asked for the crown, had never wanted to be King, but he had fought for it and he had killed for it. There was no one else who was right to wear it. No one but him. Which meant that if anyone came for the king, then he was going to make damn sure that they missed.

Sigh. No doubt Mom wanted to talk about Jaide being back. Which was great, he fucking loved talking about shit with his mother.

"Aight, I'll swing by soon." A nice quick text to his mom, throwing on his outfit for the day and a .45 and he and Sean were heading out to Rowdy's.

Jax drove. Jax always drove his Camaro. Some kings rolled in the back of black SUV's with tinted mirrors, letting their best hitters and their right hand men handle the driving. There were reasons for it, good reasons too, but you just had to look at Jax's car to know that he wasn't scared of catching a charge or a bullet. If someone was gonna come for him then he was gonna meet them in the Street screaming 'here I am motherfucker' before letting his name ring out in lead and blood.

Rowdy's was a community staple, some of the last remnants of an old strip mall a little further south in Oak Hills. The place had an old school fast food look, a lot of reds and whites and sharp blacks. Cool tile floors and pleather seats. Shane watched his back as Jax walked in, but Jax didn't bother pretending to be worried. Over to the right there was a space where they used to have a few different machines up against the wall, but they'd been cleared out and there was now an air hockey table in the middle. Back down the hallway behind it though there was a whole arcade set up with plenty of games. While Jax waited in front of the counter he could hear the sounds of young people playing some of the louder games.

He wondered if any of them were back their finger banging and playing tonsil hokey like he and Jaide used to.

The man behind the counter was a Reg, probably working a probation job, but Jax didn't know his name.

"Sup man, what can I get you?" The two bumped knuckles and then Jax answered.

"Hook me up with a number two and a number nine. Both large. Fries for the two, rings for the nine, both with extra sauce. One root beer and one chocolate shake." Izzy was starting to get closer to solid foods, so he figured he'd see if she liked chocolate. When Jax reached for his cash the Reg just shook his head. Name tag said Reggie.

"Don't worry about it man. I got you." "'ppreciate it bro." "You want whipped cream on that shake boss?" "Nah, but hey, toss whatever the kids' toy is in one of the bags." "Sure thing." One of the great parts of being King was you got great service and no one ever made you wait on your food. Three minutes later Jax was carrying a bag of food and two drinks to his car. Shane got the door for him, and for a brief instant Jax's eyes went to the street. This was the moment when a shooter would shoot, Jax's hands were full, and Shane only had one hand free to go for his piece. But there was no car, there was no driveby, and they both got to the liquor store safely.

Jaide

It was a good thing that Jaide had a half-decent poker face.

The white lie had just come out of her mouth without even thinking, It was just a little thing, and was done with the best of intentions, but it was still the first time that she'd told a lie to Jax since she'd been back. Fucking white people, inventing lies and shit.

She covered up her worry easily though, Jax didn't usually notice things when she was tickling his tonsils with her tongue stud and when her wrists were locked behind his neck. Her foot popped up nearly to her ass as she leaned her weight against him, inviting his hands to the small of her back, and from there those scarred knuckles always found their way to her taut ass and kinky, curly hair. A trail of saliva still connected their lips when she finally released him.

Scar was gifted with a self-satisfied smile and a hungry look as Jaide licked her lips. Licked not wiped. The Trio wasn't a competition, but that didn't mean it wasn't competitive. Jaide was right on the whore's tail as they walked out the door, noting that she would need to up the number of plates she was squatting. Scar could have the bigger rack or the bigger ass, but she wasn't allowed to have both.

When she saw Nicky's car her heart fluttered and her stomach had butterflies- no wait those weren't the right words. She felt like she was going to puke and her heart was palpitating. Fuck, there was a word for this, Scar would know what it was because she actually did well in English. Fuck, it was probably some stupid white people word too. Either way, Jaide avoided making eye contact as she slipped into the back seat next to Scar, taking the passenger side so that Scar could be closer to Nicky.

Nicky
Ty had given everyone who mattered a heads-up that Jaide was back as soon as he knew for certain that that was going to be how everything played out. There was no doubt in Nicky's mind that if things had gone differently, if they had gone the way that they were always worried about, Nicky and Javier would never have even known that it had happened in the first place. That was one of the things that Ty was good for, and why he was Jax's consigliere and not Nicky or Javi. Ty seemed to have an instinctual understanding of what people needed to know and when they needed to know it. Not just so that the plays Jax wanted to make were made in the right way and at the right time, but also so that the people who were helping make those moves had themselves in the right space to do it right.

Nicky had had four years now to meditate on what he would do if Jax ever needed to follow through on his threat to Jaide, how he would be if one of his friends murdered the other. It wasn't a space that he liked to go to, it wasn't a side of himself that he liked to entertain. He much preferred being the happy-go-lucky guy who blended into the corners at parties. Being the other Nicky was hard, and sometimes dishing out hurt felt too good for how bad it was.

One of the first things you did when you started teaching someone a martial art was how to do the moves without hurting themselves, and in teaching them the moves and how to deal out the hurt you also taught them what it was like to hurt. There weren't too many other people who knew what it was like to hurt like Nicky and his friends.

Which was why Nicky was the Nicky he liked to be as soon as Scar and Jaide slipped into the car.

"Hey Jaide! Checking out the studio huh?" The light and joy in his eyes was genuine at seeing his friend again, and the smile he wore spread across his whole face. To someone else it might seem odd, knowing what Nicky was like when an emergency was happening or when a body needed to be dropped in comparison to how he was with his friends, or even more how he was when he was trying to talk to a pretty girl. But to the day-1's and Scar it was just how Nicky Takahashi be.

There was no need for him to bring up that Jaide was even gone, or to welcome her back, all of that would just Jaide up in her feels, and a Jaide up in her feels was no good for anybody. So Nicky just said hi and started to drive.

Kate
John had only ever had one real flaw in Kate's eyes, and really it worked to her advantage and had been passed down to their son. As long as you were smart and subtle about it, the man would never notice a hoarding situation until it was far too late. John had the benefit of Gayle noticing things he didn't; like the day the two were sitting there drinking beer and watching old Westerns and talking business, he had pointed out Kate seemed to be bringing in an excessive amount of baby shit for the one kid she was pregnant with. That's how they had found Kate's little hoard of baby hoodrat clothes for both genders; since she and all of her friends were in various stages of pregnancy or motherhood, she had done some thrift shopping and some shop lifting. This dumb bitch had matching outfits for Jacob and Ty, even though Ty was already a giant two month old and Jacob wasn't even born yet. She even had found little group outfits for Jacob and Jaide, who was just a month behind him, things for the boys to wear together too. Really, it was because Kate was in denial of her own romanticism of friendships in the hood. After all, the girls she had grown up with were all having kids around the same time. Monica and Kate had talked ad nauseum about how much they wished that they could go back to be open friends with Lina and Jaci. They talked about how they wish Erica was around too.

Hoarding was in Kate's nature. Really it was a Ramage trait; most of the guns that the family owned were in a storage unit across town that Rosemary had grandfathered in decades ago. They had relics of history in that storage unit, guns that were named in history books, no different than Arthurian legend. Kate had kept that storage unit hidden from anyone else, including John and Gayle. If she found the right buyer, some of those old western guns could easily pay for her grandkids to full ride through college. The guns were old, some of them had seen enough body count to put Kate's to shame.

Originally, Kate hadn't even really thought about the joke she was building until the fourth or fifth stuffed animal in. JJ had gone through a bit of a fish phase after the first time Jaide and Scar had shown him finding Nemo, and so Kate had taken him to the aquarium. The shark and sea turtle she started with were soon joined by two clown fish. And the brunette warrior was very much the kind of Type A personality that loved to follow themes and alliteration as often as possible. This is why her son had three J's in his name and why she had initially thought Isabelle was a stupid name. It's also why after nearly seven years the play pen had turned into the aquarium it was. By the time she had added a small orca family of three in the pen she kept at the store, Kate knew she'd have to use the 'swimming with the fishes' at some near point. It took seven years almost to build to that, and it felt really fucking satisfying to know that Jax would appreciate the humor.

Kate sat Izzy on the edge of the counter and played with her little leg rolls. "Who's gramma's little mermaid?" Kate didn't use a baby talk voice even though she used baby talk words. Baby voices coming out of adults annoyed the fuck out of Kate. How was a kid supposed to take you seriously if you didn't?

Sometimes Kate wondered if that's one of the many she had done wrong as a mother all those years ago; raising Jacob like an adult from the start. She had no doubts that this earliest memories included witnessing way too much drinking and way too much of his parents' shenanigans to not cause some damage. Kate had lost her own mom at seven, though at least Kate had gotten a proper goodbye as she watched the cancer eat through her mom's chipmunk cheeks. But from that moment on, she and Benjy had been expected to be responsible for themselves. And hell, it was the mid 80's back then, that wasn't an uncommon theme in the hoods of Haven City. Kate didn't know how else to raise a kid in the middle of a war. Then the war was over, but John was dead and part of Kate died with him. So she raised a future adult. Jacob only ever wanted to be her strong little man, the tough little thug she had told him he was as a baby, and god damn did he do a damn good job. Too good.

It was hard for Kate to talk about her feelings with Jax, especially how she felt about where he ended up. Sure, there were unspoken things throughout the years; a few too many times where she breathed a noticeable sigh of relief when he walked through her front door not too long after shots rang out in the streets, the way she had screamed and ranted at the warden and every guard in that prison she caught sight of for her son getting hurt on the inside. Gayle had been on the bad end of a Kate punching spree and had taken it like a chance. Since his beat it, she knew her son was going to spend the rest of his life watching his back hurt a little, and it made her happier knowing he had solid people to watch his back. She loved Ty, Javi and Nicky like they were her own. That's why she had adored Jaide so much too.

However, nothing made her happier, or prouder, of the man she had raised than the moment he walked in the front door of the store. Izzy automatically turned her head and screamed: "DADA!!!" with those cherub cheeks and pretty blue eyes lighting up. That reaction, and the excitement JJ always showed when JJ walked into the room and gave him a hug, told her all she needed to know about the type of father her son was. Izzy squirmed restlessly and fought Kate to get off the counter.

She set Izzy down on the freshly mopped floor and looked surprised when Izzy got herself from four legs to two in a matter of seconds and made a run for Jax's leg. "Fucking Scar didn't tell me she could do that now, that stupid whore!" Kate cursed under her breath before smiling at the boys. "Shane, be a dear and lock up and turn the sign to 'I'll be back'. It's lunch break anyways."

Back in her youth the back door had never been locked because she and her brother were always coming and going. As long as their dad was in the store, they could easily get in. The lock was still a little janky. The Jackson matriarch struggled with change, even if it was change for her own security. Sometimes Joan thought she was just screaming to the world "come try to hold this store up." Fucking Joan. Everyone knew that you didn't set foot in Kate Ramage's store without risking catching a bullet even on a good day when you had the cash for your habits. Much less come in waving a gun in Kate's face.

Kate motioned to the empty apartment upstairs while looking at Jax and his little girl. "Let's eat, I got a high chair upstairs for Izzy."

Nothing about the apartment had really changed; there was an extra couch and a couple of extra mattresses in Benjy's old bedroom. Kate had let some struggling girls live here for a while, and she had offered it to all of Jax's friends as their first real apartment to help them save money... Not that any of them had much to worry about in that department. Jax and the girls probably would have taken it if he hadn't been in jail at the time. So currently it made a fine ass party apartment for smaller more intimate parties. Kate kept it clean and stocked with beer and booze, and if the kids used it they just kicked her back money for the alcohol she provided. It was extra income. Kate played the struggle because she couldn't guaranteed the good money was always around; she still couponed once a week with Monica and Rory, she still thrift shopped when she needed clothes, she still got every penny out of every business or property she owned accounted for.

Izzy gave a frustrated noise when Kate plopped her into the high chair, because it was just too damn far away from the head of the table. Her tiny brain saw that as the throne, and where Daddy sat. However this was the Ramage apartment, and Kate still considered this her kingdom, and she sat in her father's old spot and stuck Izzy on the right next to where Benjy had normally sat. That was Jax's spot now. Once she was seated with her food, she started to eat her fries with a thoughtful look on her face, looking at Jax and really inspecting him.

"So Izzy seems pretty well adapted to Jaide already... was I really going to be the last to know she was back?" Kate started off neutral and trying not to sound annoyed something was being held from her. Izzy was stretching her little arm towards Jax's bag, already knowing there was a toy in there somewhere for her. Kate smiled. "I ain't mad, this ain't ass whooping worthy. If it was I feel like yours isn't the ass that caused this shit? Let me see if I can save some time and take some guesses."

This is where things got real scary and always called into question if Kate really knew what happened or if she was just so used to these people that she could read them like a book. "Che probably brought Jaide down from the Rez when he showed up to the birthday. Probably said something stupid to Scarlet, knowing she's just a big squishy lump of a hot mess for Jaide, and Scarlet decided to engage. Scar tried keeping it on the DL but Ty or Nicky caught her meeting up with Jaide and- actually I'm going to go with Ty. I feel like if Nicky knew first then Ken and I would have known sooner. Anyways, Ty rolled up to flex, protect his boy's heart. Scar realized she couldn't hide it, broke down and told you, you were fucked up already when you got in if she didn't get you fucked up before telling you, and then you went and deep dicked a stupid jewish slut and brought her home. Does that all sound on point so far?"

Scar
Ty wasn't with Jax today, and it would have been easy to call him up and keep Jaide comfortable... but she didn't care about Jaide's comfort now, it was about reacclimating her to the new world that Scar and Jax owned. That's why she had chosen the next easiest person to roll into this with. Nicky was chill, and she knew he'd be happy to see Jaide back. No one wanted to see Jaide hurt or dead. Nicky was just going to be less dramatic and loud about it than the girls or Javi probably would.

Scarlet slid in the back seat with Jaide and held her hand. Normally she would have just hung out in front with Nicky, probably made him blush a little bit because a flustered Nicky was always entertaining to sluts like her. But today, she wanted to stick by her bitch's side. If she was going to force her out into the world, then it was her duty to be strong with her. "Yeah, doing the full tour. Wanted her to see what's up, maybe meet Calli! Everyone loves Calli!" Scar threw a look back at Jaide as if to say 'everyone loves fucking Calli too.'

The ride to the studio seemed longer than ever with her hand on Jaide's thigh, soaking in the warmth and comfort her woman being there provided her. It wasn't that Scar minded at all, "Oh hey, Nicky! Izzy's walking now! Well, running... shit I should have warned Kate about that huh?" Scar looked at Jaide a little horrified before shrugging. "I guess she'll find out soon enough." Other than that, Nicky and Scar chatted a little about stuff going on in the hood and with their friends, talking about Dasia's baby shower, some of the headlines on the news lately, anything else that kept the conversation casual and relaxed during the ride.

The studio had quite a few cars in the parking lot, but Nicky dropped them off at the back door as was appropriate for the Queen. "I really appreciate you picking us up, we'll probably only be a couple of hours. I'm going to show her around, introduce her to some people, see if Joan's around. Text you when we're done?"

"I'll be hanging around the area for a bit, got some business up over here anyways so just hit me up..." Nicky gave a smile to both girls in the rearview mirror, a true one, before Scar slid herself out of the back seat and headed towards the back door. The offices were closer to the back, and this way they wouldn't have to walk directly through the stage area in the first place.

"Oh fuck yeah daddy, harder!" Immediately when Scar and Jaide walked into the studio they could hear that shooting was happening over on the stage. There was a speaker system this far back so that the two boss women could hear progress, even if they were in the middle of other thigns. The gentle 'click, click, click' of her heels echoed enough on the tile that a mousey little brunette girl rushed out of nowhere with a cup of coffee for Scar.

"Joan in?" Scarlet asked her personal assistant with a smile. She didn't have to worry about the girl being attracted to her; she had tried to sway the PA to her side of the grass but she just really enjoyed being a straight girl.

"She just left a hour ago actually, driving up the coast for a visit today," the girl smiled at Jaide. "Can I get your guest anything to drink?"

"I'm sure she could use a nice glass of whiskey at this point. This is my girlfriend Jaide, she's touring the studio with me today, keep her has happy as you would keep me okay?"

The younger girl's eyes got real big as she looked at Jaide and nodded. "Hey, I'm Scar's personal assistant, Chelsee, if you need anything at all just let me know and I'll get it for you!" she smiled and hurried off to go get some alcohol. It was clear she was still pretty new, Scar didn't keep PA's for long. Hell, most of them this was just a quick extra cash position until they got their real break on the small screen porn scene.

Scar linked pinkies with Jaide. "You ready to meet the family therapist?"

Jaide
The car ride was... surprisingly relaxing. Jaide didn't partake in any of the conversation, keeping her eyes focused out of the window at the neighborhood that had grown and changed like any other in the years she had been gone. Many things had remained the same, most of the houses were still the ones that had been there when she left and still flying the Regs' flag too. A few of them had been replaced with new builds and some others looked like they had either been renovated or could seriously need some maintenance. Lots of that building and maintenance was going on, with workers from a bunch of different crews wearing out their knees in the hot sun to change the tile of roofs. Jaide even spotted Hernan and his hardhat and orange vest overseeing a crew at one house just before they turned off 13th Street entirely and made their way Downtown towards where one of the two Phantasies studies was.

It felt strange, but also comforting the way that Nicky and Scarlet just slipped into talking about everyday shit like it was a normal kind of day, and not one of the biggest days of Jaide's life. This was the first time that she was stepping back into the Street in Haven City since Jax had put that death sentence on her. She could already feel the build up of anxiety inside of her at that prospect. Her simply existing was showing the world that Jax's word could be changed and defied. That familiar thumb was already working its way into the space between her front teeth, until she found a piece of gum and started to chew the shit out of it as quietly as possible.

When Scarlet wrapped her pinky finger around Jaide's her mind rocked her back to the first time they had walked down 13th Street with their pinkies entwined like gay bitches did back in the day. Back then gay marriage hadn't even been legal, and as many homophobes as there were out in the sticks there were still plenty in the hood. Still, it was a gesture that made Jaide remember how proud she had felt when someone had said some shit to the two of them walking alone with no Jax around and Jaide had introduced a loose piece of pavement to the guys face. With that happy memory in mind, Jaide held her head up high as she walked into her girlfriend's domain.

If she was anyone else, the sounds of fucking she heard would have broken that strong poker face in an instant.

The assistant was something else, and the casual way that Scar admitted to trying to fuck her made Jaide frown with her eyebrows, but she bounced back quickly when the girl asked her what she wanted to drink.

"Jim Bean and a bottle of water. No ice in the whiskey." Jaide commanded, taking control of something besides her emotions. Then she only nodded when Scar asked if she was ready to meet Calli.

Jax
Anyone who wasn't terrified of Kathryn Ramage was a fool as far as Jax was concerned. It wasn't a matter of her reputation, though she had more than two decades of brutality behind her that would make anyone rightfully wary of getting on her bad side. It wasn't about the access to weapons that she had available or the way that she seemed to always be able to know what was going on on the Street before anyone else did. It was a simple matter that even sitting there eating French fries and chicken nuggets she was a force of nature that could tear a person's world asunder on a fucking whim.

Out of all of the deadly situations that Jax had been in, fights in prison, fights outside of prison, car wrecks and shootouts nothing was more terrifying to him than the prospect of his mother angry. Nothing was more threatening to the empire that he was attempting to build and maintain than what Kate could do if she just stepped out into the Street on a temper tantrum and fucked up whatever it was she decided needed to get fucked up. They had just barely been able to get out from under a RICO, had barely managed to see Gayle's money and power switched over to Jax, and just barely survived everyone and their mother stepping up to test him. The last thing he needed was his mother getting up in her feels.

For the first part of the meal he didn't worry about that, producing the little plastic toy he'd received and removing it from its own container of plastic before rocking it back and forth in front of Izzy's eyes and setting it firmly in his baby girl's hands. Then he'd dug in on his own burger, fry sauce slipping down his chin and onto his fingers.

"Mom I'm eating-" He tried to say with a mouthful of burger, heading off any telling off that she was going to do. But of course, Kate just drove right past her son's protests and started the telling off with a scarily accurate - if Kate-ified - telling of what exactly had occurred a few nights back. Realizing he wasn't going to be able to finish his meal without this conversation Jax took two more large bites, set the burger on its head so that the bread didn't get too soggy, and wiped his hands on the nearby napkins before responding.

"Yeah, something like that Mom, but you don't need to wild out. You ain't near the last person to find out. Right now it's just the close family, Ty, Nicky , Shane and Rico. Javi don't even know yet. Scar's just taken her to the studio to get a lay of the land so some people are finding out. We were gonna let you know as soon as we knew you weren't going to do anything crazy." His eyes darted over to Izzy to show that he would prefer not discussing the potential of anyone killing Jaide in front of his child. With JJ he hadn't had a problem talking business around him before he could talk, but those little blue eyes knew things. And they had this scary habit of looking deep into his eyes and grabbing him by the soul.

Calli
Scarlet kept glancing at Jaide through her peripheral vision. Good use of the Queen voice; that gave Scar hope that Jaide would come back stronger than ever once she got her bearings.

The dressing room was directly behind the stage, but surprisingly it was nearly dead silent in there. The room had been soundproofed so girls that were prepping and doing make up could focus on their own scenes.

With everyone on set, Scar lead Jaide by the pinkie back into the room. The room itself was longer than it was wide with several lit up vanities on either wall in various states of disaster in the aftermath of prepping for the shoot. Costumes were strewn over chairs and ottomans, bottles of booze and a bottle of viagra sat on one, and Scarlet seemed completely at home as she swept in grabbing components and putting them on racks.

There was one other person at the end of the room, cleaning up some of the wigs that had been haphazardly placed on their stands. The red haired porn star pranced right up to the other girl as she was bent down and slapped her ass hard enough to make most bitches at least stumble, if not outright cry in pain.

Calli didn't budge even in three inch heels. "Hey boss lady!" she wiggled and straightened up, her mini dress barely clinging to her ass.

"Sup slut?" Scar grinned as her blonde coworker turned around. Well, Calli was more than a coworker. Throughout Jaide's exile and Jax's prison sentence, she had become Scarlet's first adult best friend. The first person to really know Scarlet without the weight of teen history and drama between them.

The blonde starlet was studying to be a therapist, and porning her way through college. It more than paid the bills. And she got to use her coworker's baby daddy for her thesis, which was even better.

Calli and Jax had met shortly after Jax got out of prison. Scarlet had half orchestrated the ordeal as a reward to Jax for surviving prison. Besides, she knew there were a lot of things he would never do to her, but Jax needed a controlled outlet that was too loyal to tell the truth behind her bruises. At least in a way that'd get Jax labeled as an abuser.

Saying that Calli liked it rough was a complete understatement of how happy she was covered in black and blue, mascara running down her face from a rough throat fucking...

As soon as Calli turned around though, her best friend and favorite porn cohort was essentially chopped liver. Calli pushed Scarlet aside to better get a look at the other woman, and her face lit up in the biggest smile.

"Oh. My. Gawd. Jaide?!?!" the petite blonde was a full head shorter than the brunette, but she suddenly was crushing in a hug, as if she had known Jaide her whole life.

Kate
Kate didn't always know what was running through Jax's mind, but she knew one thing without a doubt: she had been on her best behavior trying not to put the throne at risk. As far as she was concerned, this is what John died for. For years she had wondered why it was her husband who had to die. He had seemed indestructible to her! The day Gayle made it clear he intended Jax to bear the weight of power some day, she stopped needing an answer. That meant that crown on Jax's head meant more to her than life or death.

That also meant that Jax's word was law.

"Jax, I ain't wildin'. I'm fucking happy to see her with life in her eyes... I invited Jaide over for drinks tonight... That and my kitchen needs cleaning." Kate looked at Izzy, reaching over and giving her a few small pieces of chicken nugget. "You might have lost your main bitch that night, but maybe you forgot I lost a daughter too? A girl I took in at 11 because I didn't want to see you separated but because I loved her too? Besides its not like I caught her creeping into our territory without permission; Scarlet is queen after all. Long as she's clean and as long as she's on your good side that's all I care about... I just wanted to know if she's back for good?"

Kate looked him dead in the eye. "Jacob, baby... I know I'm a loose canon sometimes. But I'm not going to hurt Jaide. I don't have that right. And you don't know how many times I stopped myself from asking Che-"

Izzy looked at her tray and determinedly, in the most toddler moment ever, she swiped everything off of her tray; food, toy and sippy cup hit the floor loudly and immediately cut off the conversation. She then set those piercing baby blues on her father as if she expected him to pick it all up and put it back on the tray, before splitting into the sweetest grin. "oops!"

Kate laughed, almost happy for the distraction from her own emotions. She wanted him to know that she was being real, and had no intention of hurting Jaide at all. Even if Jaide fucked up, that was Jax's trigger to pull. And Kate prayed that it would never come to that. Losing Jaide once had been hard enough. "So small family party this weekend? Just some weed and booze and food?"

Jaide
It was... hard, watching Scar slap another bitches ass. Another bitch that Jaide instantly knew in her soul was more attractive than her. It was hard growing up as skinny brunette on 13th Street, and spending all of that time wanting to be- and thinking you were- Jax's ride or die. But it never seemed to matter how hard she rode or how close to dying they came together. Jax always found another bitch to get it wet in when the urge hit him. And when it came to Jax, that urge was constant. After a long enough time like that, you started to learn lessons about yourself, to really learn the way that people saw you.

That was the point where Jaide started walking into the Street with a brick in hand and introducing it to bitches faces.

She couldn't stop Jax from cheating, but she could make sure that the girls who were trying to catch his star knew what would happen to them if Jaide found out about it. If they wanted to try to step into her territory then they better be able to throw hands.

Then Scarlet had come around and something inside of Jaide had... melted. With two bitches Jax had had an outlet for most of his urges, and miraculously he had gone months without fucking any other bitch but them until Jaide had ended up sixteen and pregnant as fuck. Watching Scarlet so casually play with another bitch in front of Jaide had brought back a lot of those memories, right up to the nice big gap that was her Exile. It was a lot for the emotionally stunted woman to go through in a few moments, and she found herself naturally slipping into the breathing exercises she had been practicing for memories like that and moments like this.

"Where's that bitch with the whiskey when you need her?" Jaide asked through strained ribs as she tried to fight off Calli's hug. It wasn't a serious fight, just an expression of surprise at the sudden intimacy and frustration with how soft the porn star was. And how annoyingly good she looked in that blue fucking dress.

"It's nice to meet you too, or whatever." Jaide finally said once she was free, shoving her thumbnail right into the gap between her two front teeth.

Jax
Izzy was Daddy's Little Angel and his saving grace in that moment. An ordinary parent might be frustrated seeing this behavior from their toddler. It was perfectly normal behavior, at least from what he remembered reading those parenting books with Scar while she was still breast feeding and not sleeping through the night, but that didn't meant that it was behavior that they wanted to encourage. In that moment though, he was cool with it. There had been one thing that Jax had not wanted his mother to talk about in front of his baby girl, and that was the idea of Jaide being hurt by anyone that Izzy could call family. Little kids understood more of what they were seeing and hearing than a lot of parents seemed to remember or understand.

And while Kate hadn't gone quite over that line, she had sure tiptoed over it. Getting out of his chair and crouching down to clean up the mess of food, toy and sippy cup gave him the opportunity to get his face and tone right before he answered his mother. Izzy's sippy-cups were all Izzy-proofed, of course, meaning that the plastic seal held tight to the cups that they attached it to. A few drops might have spilled out of the top, but there was no wet mess that he needed to towel up. Jax's hands moved quickly to replace the objects to the tray, getting the food first and looking at his red headed cherub.

"Five second rule. But don't do that again. Got it?" Jax said to the little angel as if she could understand what he meant and act on it accordingly. In preemptive reward for her good behavior he ran his trigger finger over her throat in playful tickles that filled the air with the satisfied giggles and farts of the little princess. Then he leaned down and gave his daughter a big wet kiss on the forehead to seal their deal, petting her hair with his large hand.

"Yeah, that sounds like a plan mom. Ima fight next week so it'll be nice to finish this week with a party." Jax answered, sitting back down in his seat and going for his fries.

The Start of a Sexist Punchline
(aka A Blonde, a Redhead and a Brunette...)

Calli had spent a lot of time around the Jackson family over the last couple of years. When Jax had gone up the coast, Calli had just moved into town so she only knew his name and the weight it carried behind it after Jaide had been exiled and she had met Scarlet for the first time. She knew how loyal his boys were, and how loyal Scarlet was to him. That's one of the many reasons she had wanted to meet and get to know him. And Jax had far exceeded her wildest dreams as a psychology student. He was a complex character; you think you got him figured out and then suddenly he would show a whole new facet. And at the same time, he was easy to read when he was in his emotions or angry. It was the same movements, the same cravings and stupid urges.

Even these days, Jax was what Calli would consider a serial cheater; it was almost compulsive, as if the bad decision just confirmed what he thought of himself. Though Calli's real theory was that Jax was just a man made to love as many women as possible; even though the emotion wasn't as deep for her as it was for Scar or Jaide, Jax had shown her love in his own way many times. He just struggled when people showed that love back. He was willing to give 100% of himself for anyone else who needed it, but despite needing that same dedication from the main women in his life, he simultaneously seemed to believe he wasn't worth what they gave him.

The blonde had also recognized that there were a lot of things he wasn't willing to do to Scarlet that he was willing to do to other bitches, because of the way he felt about Scarlet. Oh, he definitely loved both of his baby mamas. But Scar seemed to hold some sort of human component that Jax needed to maintain, and Jaide held some sort of sway over the monster inside of him. Both women could drive him to war with just a bat of their eyelashes. Both women were balancing for his spirit. And damn did baby boy need his spirit balanced these days. The weight of the crown and all.

"Sorry, I'm a little too enthusiastic. I've known about this plot for a little while, I was the only one who did until Ty figured shit out, go figure..." Calli relaxed a little, and although she was still bouncing on the balls of her feet, she toned the energy down a notch for Jaide.

Meanwhile Scarlet had wandered away to go see the progress on the drinks, knowing Jaide would need hers quickly after that type of greeting. She guessed she should have warned Jaide about that, but part of her had hoped Calli would tone it down in the first place. Calli watched Scar exit the room and then cleared off a chair for Jaide to sit on. "Welcome home, for real. I babysit the kids a lot, so I know how much JJ missed you, though he tried not to show it to Jax and Scar. He's a brave little dude," Calli complimented Jaide for that, knowing that JJ's guts came from a different place than Jax. Her next statement would sound harsh from anyone else, but out of Calli it was said with love and the lightest bit of exasperation: "So have they actually told you anything about me or are they just throwing you to the fucking sharks like they do for everything else? Actually I hope Scar just brings the damn bottle, this is probably going to be a messy talk."

Back to The Scary Lady

There was always sort of an unspoken rule amongst Jax's generation, or hell anyone talking to Jax in general: don't tell jokes at Kate Jackson's expense. None of his day ones were dumb enough to spout off a "yo mama" joke about Kate. Most guys that tried usually ended up with a fist in their face, whether that was Jax's fist or her own. Kate had beaten her fair share of cocky youngbloods out to prove a point. And they had: they had proven the point that no one fucks with Jax's mom.

Kate looked at Izzy and gave the biggest sigh of relief at the interruption. The problem was that Jax was thinking she was caught up in very different feelings than what were coursing through her. Seeing Jaide with life in her eyes and a smile on her face had given her some peace. She was home, safe with Jax and Scarlet where she belonged. She had given Jax life, but with Jaide it was something a little deeper. Kate saw bits of herself in Jaide long before Jaide started trying to mimic Kate's behavior, and Jaide had made the Jackson house a home again, even with the ghost of John present in every square inch of the unchanged walls. Still, Jaide had fucked around and now Kate needed to find out if she was going to fuck around again. Jax didn't need Jaide relapsing. They all knew it wouldn't turn out good for all of them if she was even the slightest bit weak.

This apartment was another thing Kate had been reluctant to change. It was almost a full year after her father died that she could bring herself to take out the furniture or guns, to move the couch or the TV from where she, Benjy and Old Man Ramage had spent many a night eating dinner and watching old movies.

Izzy's little blue eyes pierced into Jax's soul in the kind of way that just proved he was right about how much she understood. After all, any child of Scarlet and Jax's were bound to be intelligent. While Jax had never been good at school, Scarlet had given up her shot at Ivy League school to be with Jaide and Jax, and be a bonus mother to JJ. But Jax had a different type of smarts. Izzy and JJ both had limitless potential as far as most of the family was concerned. And they were working on making sure the grandkids got the type of opportunities that they just didn't have.

However, Jax had made the mistake of doing EXACTLY what he didn't want: putting Kate in her feelings. Jaide was one thing. Fighting was another thing. Kate hated the fighting more than any other part of what he had done up to this point with his life. "Jacob I really wish you'd step out of the ring! You have a whole fucking kingdom of people counting on you including your little princess right here, putting yourself in the path of harm is fucking reckless and-" Kate stopped mid sentence and covered her face, taking a deep, exasperated breath. He was a Ramage after all. Ramage and Reckless when hand-in-hand. "The money is coming in and coming in soon, there's no reason for you to do that. Is it really worth the risk?"

FORSHADOWING

The room hadn't seen the light of day in almost a week. Opening the curtains wasn't worth it. If he couldn't see the bruises, then he couldn't know the damage right? The first beating had been the worst, but it had been at least two days since the young man had seen or heard from his father. His younger brother had slipped a sandwich under the door at some point in time, bless his heart. Brought in some cool water in the night at another point.

Michael didn't have the best sense of time at the moment, delirious from hunger and lack of water. He knew he was a bit dehydrated by this point.

Most of all he now had an address for his big sister. That meant if he had a chance to escape, he had somewhere to go. But he was locked in his second-story bedroom and the drop was straight down onto the brick patio. If he tried to jump even in a healthy state he would have broken something. He now understood why she had abandoned him and Judas all those years ago. Their father was a monster who had started showing his true colors the moment she had left. And now that he knew that another one of his children was nothing more than "a broken sinner", who knew how volatile he would get?

Michael didn't miss his mother; he had been young when she had died. Judas had barely even known her. All the boys had really known was their big sister, ever present in their childhoods cooking and cleaning and teaching. He just wanted to hear her voice and hug her again, even if he had to walk every street from La Libertad and comb through Oak Hills to find her again, he would see Josephine again.

Jaide Tomris Verga Diaz
Meeting your replacement was never a comfortable experience no matter what the context was. The long and short of it was that Jaide hadn't been there for her son, for her baby daddy and for her girlfriend. Ikes and vikes, percs and oxy, dems and all of the other pills that she had swallowed and snorted had taken precedence over everything else that was important in life. She had been looking for that 'sex, drugs, and hip-hop' life that the OG wives were always talking about. The way things had been back when they were young and their men were alive. Jaide had chased and chased that high that they described, and she had found it, but she had never been able to keep it.

The Pain had always been too much for her to feel as if she was really real. So she had done things that she felt she needed to do, and made mistakes with heavy consequences.

Contrary to what word on the Street had been, Jaide had never swallowed a cock to get a chance at swallowing some pills. At least, not when she was with Jax. The shit she had done out in Jeffersonia and by the Rez was a different story entirely. It turns out that working at a Casino was not too different from working at a restaurant, at the end of the day everything ran on drugs and cum. Her father was the head of security for the Bear Creek Casino, which had made it easy for him to get his daughter a job. First she'd just been in the kitchen, serving food and cunt, but as sobriety had taken hold she'd been handling the tables more and more.

And now she was looking at this blonde piece of ass who she recognized from her time on screen. This was the bitch whose cunt Scar Law had been devouring when Jaide was home alone and sober finger fucking herself.

And now she was hear, all pretty and flirty and shit. Talking about how she knows deep shit. Trying to be reasonable.

Well, sometimes Jaide just wasn't reasonable.

The southpaw backhand wasn't the end of Jaide's reason. Deb wasn't the only bitch who knew how to fight. Jailhouse Rock was no Krav Maga, but footwork was footwork, and as Jaide stood from the seat she had been bullied into her feet were planted and twisting forward, forcing Calli to back up or drop to the ground. It wasn't her choice though, it was Jaide's as she caught the bitch by the throat and drove her back into a mirror, glass-shattering muted by their bodies and the sounds of filming outside. There was blood. Plenty of blood, as Jaide showed that crazy bitch that hid behind her brown eyes. Scar had your suck-you-bitches eyes to get people going crazy- but Jaide had fucked that demon behind Jax's eyes more than any bitch on the planet. And this snotty little blonde would know it.

Tongue piercings CLACKED together as Jaide Jackson forced her tongue passed Calli's gasping mouth. Muscle came with weight as Jaide's tongue corkscrewed around her victim's and stroke it limp before tickling that dangly thing that hung in the back of her throat. Jaide's arms showed that same kind of muscle as her right arm pushed aside Calli's smooth thighs and climbed up to the molten core. Grinding the heel of her hand into Calli's clit, she made the porn star gush to give her space to force those fingers in and roll the cunt's dress up above her hips.

Jaide was teaching two lessons, when the Queen finally came back into her kingdom.

Lesson numero uno: Jaide might be Jax's bitch, but she was everyone else's stud.

Lesson two: She wasn't a cuck, but that didn't mean that she didn't love one.

And lesson three, lesson three was for Jax.

What's yours is ours, motherfucker.

Pax Jax
Jaide and Mom really are a lot alike huh? Jax thought to baby Izzy as he gave her all of the attention that she deserved. What kind of woman are you going to grow to be? Will you be fearless like your mom and grandma? Or are you going to be strong like your mom? JJ hasn't had two moms since he's been talking, so I guess we'll figure that shit out soon. If you grow up to be like both of them, we're all gonna be fucked.

Turning back to his mother, he kept his face neutral. He'd been lying since he was a child and he'd been gambling on Swedish fish and crackers in kindergarten. Kind of rough that there was no real way to know whether that was worth a damn. Not unless she blew up on him about it. It certainly said something about how much of a king he was when he didn't even know if he could tell a lie to his gun plug, gun thug, gun moll mother. Hard to believe he could lie to any of those believingly if he couldn't do it with his mother.

"You remember that meeting that Joan had? Right after we all got picked up at the club? No charges on me. Vec caught bail for the possession. Nomar missed out on the weapons. Wyld and Monster caught charges but came out on bail. Joan calls us all together at her place. plus brought in you and the OGs. Sat us all down on her patio and had that talk about holding together and laying low. That if none of us acted up then the RICO would die, and Gayle would just go in for the murder. She really made it sound like her man was going to carry the weight and we needed to keep all of that up. Lays out how it's going to be. We'd each take fifths of the business and start moving the laundering to make everything clean as possible. And then Monster stands up and starts talking all his shit:

'Now, I ain't trying to start nothin' here. Just clearin' up a confusion I got. You know, that old bullet just churning through meat up here. I get why we're doing things the way we're doing them, the old way weren't working and we brought the new way. Y'all are my brothers and I respect you to earn what you earned right? But let's say for a second we did things that old way, that back in the day way: we all tool up, and anyone who ain't wanna get in line gets got. Ain't none of us want that. But let's say we did it that way, I'm fixing to roll them bones that Jax earns a fifth of what any of these old heads would, or Vec and Nomar and the young bucks. Ain't no disrespect here Jax, you run your girls well and your corners hum, you can box I'll say that. But when it comes to blood you just ain't got none on your name. Really, when it came to doing things the blood way, who you really got?'

"Things were quiet for a minute, but when Kenny stood up Monster shut the fuck up. Cause Kenny was looking like he was about to count man's bones. But you know, when I was waiting in that moment trying to think of anything to say or whether this was one of those moments where I just shut up and let it roll off my back, all I knew is that I could not have been more fucked than if you stood up. I wouldn't have wone the war without your guns. That's a fucking fact. So I'm not gonna sit back and let anyone think 'Jax can't win a fight without his mama. Soon works for the long term, but we're keeping things tight in the short. RICO ain't something that just goes away in two years. And the pelt at the top doesn't get less shiny when it's hanging on some fed's wall. I gotta walk that line every single day. And I know if I gotta do it the blood way again, I'm gonna have you in my corner for damn sure. But if I gotta fight now to keep that way off for a long, long time then I'm gonna fight now."

Scar was more than entertained by this turn of events. Something about watching Jaide take her place as Queen was fucking downright invigorating. The red queen just put her pretty little ass in a chair and watched the show. Sure, the broken mirror was an issue she'd have to fucking pay for, but she wasn't about to ruin the introduction of her finest bitch to Jaide with concerns like that.

Calli knew Jax would question the marks on her back; not that he would get worried or angry, but he always enjoyed hearing her pain romps with other people, especially while gaping her ass and looking at the evidence of her need for pain.

This blonde porn star's specialty was knowing when to ragdoll and let Daddy handle everything. She didn't make any decisions, just let her body move with the force of Jaide's progress like she would do with anyone else. This is what made her the perfect torture doll for the type people that really just needed to get their emotions out in a violent way. Jax wasn't the first to have beaten her, but he was the best at what she needed. However, Jaide was quickly racking up to be a close second.

Her back hit the mirror and the only reason she flinched had nothing to do with the lacerations on her skin or the smell of blood that filled her nostrils, and everything to do with a really long lecture Joan gave the last time she and Jax broke a mirror back here. Worst yet, she had taken it out of Scar's pay instead of Calli's. However, she did take a moment to show Jaide she wasn't just some pushover, or one of those starlets that never really had talent in the first place. There were far too many girls on camera because they were pretty, but had no sexual or acting skill and definitely couldn't convince even a drunk dumbass with her sex noises.

As her thighs parted for Jaide, almost into near splits to give all the access the brunette wanted, she ran her piercing against Jaide's again, kissing her exactly the same way she'd kiss Jax on any given day. Her tongue explored this new mouth, the taste of alcohol and gum making her moan as she pressed her pussy to Jaide's hand and whimpered. The whore was puddy in Jaide's hands, but she couldn't help but glance over at Scarlet. She knew Scar's cuck kink probably had her squirming.

Surprisingly, Scarlet was composed and cool, with her phone in the air taking a video that would no doubt find it's way to her baby daddy. It didn't matter how much she wanted to join in. No, today was about Jaide and letting her find her place in this new world that Jax and she were building. And besides, this really did touch on the thing that turned her on most.

Sometime during the pregnancy it really clicked that Jax had too much love and sex drive for just one woman, though at the core she had always known that. Hell, she had been the one to set him up with Calli and plenty of other bitches from the time he got out of prison until the day they brought Jaide home. Calli was just another example of that, though she was definitely a long-term example. Honestly, Scar thought Calli had baby mama potential some day, despite the college girl saying she didn't want kids, and definitely not any time soon even if she changed her mind.

The red head knew every hole he had stuck his dick into since getting out from the Denne; plenty of girls thanked her for sharing her dick and not going psycho about it. At first that had been weird, but now it was a compliment. With her not going crazy and fucking anyone up for fucking her man, she had met plenty of women she might not have otherwise, and many were happy to talk to her.

What she had never realized was just how much she enjoyed hearing his dick reviews from the other bitches, or what that might mean for her on a sexual level. The first time they had gone out to a club and brought home another girl she had been five months pregnant. Her cervix was hurting too much for the abuse Jax needed to put it through, so they double teamed a bar slut together. Scar hadn't done much work, just mostly acted as wingman and then fingered herself while watching Jax get out his frustrations of the day. And it had been the hottest moment of their sex life so far. Sure, he nutted on another bitch, but when the bitch was kicked out, and Scarlet had thoroughly sucked the bitch off his cock and balls he was all hers again. It was hard to admit that watching him bruise someone else's cervix had been amazing.

She smiled, knowing very well that Jax would be very happy about this outcome as she sent him a picture and texted him: Took Jaide to meet the family therapist. I'm pretty sure it's going well. Don't worry, got video sent to your bitch burner.

Kate leaned back in her chair, looking Jax dead in the eye as he made his speech. "I always hated when your dad was right. And of course, the man was smart and always right. Didn't over use his words and to get his point across. Just... Stated fact and then beat my ass so it'd get through my stubborn Ramage pride at the end of the day," her eyes turned from him to cast around her childhood home. Sad, brown eyes that lost about 20 years suddenly at the memory. "Same with your fucking Uncle B. Only he was a smug ass prick about it and would lead me in circles until I made my own conclusions. Fucking assholes."

What was left of a woman when she had lost both halves of her soul? Kate thought by now the hollowness wouldn't feel so expansive. She still had the kids, her grand babies too. Many of her friends were still alive. Hell... She might live to see a ripe old age not seen in a Ramage in a few generations.

Kate cleared her throat, denying the tears and looked at Izzy. "And your Daddy's right too, unfortunately. I hope you get your mama's brain for my sake. At least Scarlet is wrong sometimes!"

Izzy had remained absolutely still through Jax's little monologue, understanding more than he could ever realize. When Kate addressed her she smiled and giggled and went back to making normal baby sounds as she worked on eating what had been salvaged of her food.

"So. When is this next fight of yours? Jaide going to be a public thing by then?" the matriarch changed the subject, trying to shake the feeling of nostalgia. All of this would have been so much easier if John had been alive. He always knew what to say, even if it was to quote some crazy, obscure poetry none of them had ever heard of. He also knew when to stay silent and let shit work itself off. John had handled her at her craziest; in the aftermath of Benjy's untimely unaliving Kate had been an absolute disaster. Her husband had weathered it with her. Through the distance and disassociation, guiding her away from all the self sabotaging paths she tried to go down in her efforts to join Benjy in the ground. He had breathed life back into her broken heart.

But now Kate had to figure this insanity out on her own. It had gotten so much bigger than she ever had imagined in those early days. Petty thievery and illegal gun sales were one thing. Moving H and running an international gun business, an enterprise of whores that Joan could call on, and a fucking in ground pool in the ghetto were a whole new caliber.

"I'll take the kiddos that weekend, so you and the girls can be crazy afterwards. Really live it up while you still got life you live, babe... Little thug ain't so little anymore..."

Jax
It was hard being a kingpin at twenty-three. Jax had made his first million at 21, counting that million as coming after expenses like re-ups, pay-offs and weapons to get the work done- and almost all of that million had ended up going into the expenses that came with fighting a civil war and keeping it from breaking out into the entire god damn world. The next million had been much the same, putting out prairie fires all over the god damn map to keep RICO from touching any of the other sets or cities that the Regulators operated in. Finally, they were most of the way through the year and he was on his fifth first million looking at laundering it without ever getting caught.

Jax and his people had walked through their fair share of blood getting to this point, this moment of peace, and even still Jax always felt like he was having to put out some fire or wait for the next shoe to drop. The only time that that voice in the back of his head finally shut the fuck up, was when he was close to the two bitches who were the mothers of his children. Even though they were headaches in skin for him at the same time.

Which, just made them more similar to his mother than he was comfortable exploring.

Listening to her talk, there was that stupid kid still inside of him that wanted to get into a shouting match with his mother, just because it would feel good to let out all of that steam building up for a moment. But instead, Kate chose the more diplomatic route, which went her stupid, son of a bitch of a son needed to be diplomatic too. There was no way that he was going to let a drunken psychopath be the reasonable one in any discussion.

Instead, he took a deep breath, rolled his shoulders and took his seat next to Izzy, stealing one of her chicken nuggets and trading her a forehead kiss in return.

"Next fight is two weeks from Friday." Jax answered with a mouth full of stolen chicken, before going back to his own fries and finishing his burger. "Thanks mom. I, I don't know what this thing with Jaide is going to look like in two weeks. Hell, I don't even know what it's going to look like by dinner time." Jax admitted, hiding his vulnerability behind a sense of amusement at the ridiculousness of his life. He felt the vibration of his phone in his pocket, but didn't reach out to look at it. If it was something really important, it would be the other pocket vibrating.

Jaide
Jax had always been Jax, and Jaide would always love him just how he was. That didn't mean that Jaide could keep peace with everything that he had done and would do while out looking for a nut. Not the way Scar had. It just wasn't in her for Jaide to take what Jax did with other women lying down, but like many girlfriend's with a cheating partner she didn't blame the man- not as much as a sane woman should've- no Jaide blamed the women and she had made it known a long time ago that if some Star Fucker wanted to catch Jax's dick then she was welcome to try. But she'd have a hard time catching another star after Jaide introduced a brick to her face.

There was a lot of emotion in each thrust of her arm as it pushed those fingers deep and hard inside of the porn star's cunt. The fingerbang she was throwing the spinner was coming fast and hard, arousal and cum splashing everywhere, staining Jaide's shirt, staining her arm, and ruining any part of Calli's dress that was in the splash zone. She tried to keep the kiss calmer though, but that rough tightness in her jaw didn't fully go away even when Calli started tickling the base of her tung like a good little bitch. Jaide's eyes didn't open, and the pressure she put on her didn't stop.

There would be bruises on the blonde's neck and jaw from the grip that Jaide was keeping on it, maybe a few bruises down below too from how eager Jax's girlfriend was being. Afterall, Scar wasn't the only one who had gotten fit over the Trio's hiatus. Finally, something broke inside of Jaide and the energy from the domination made the two disconnected plugs inside of her body finally come together. This orgasm wasn't as physical as the other ones she had, but it felt damn good none the less.

Withdrawing her glistening arm from between the whore's thighs, she less-than-gently wiped it dry on her pretty dress, retrieving her tongue from her mouth and meeting her victim forehead to forehead. There was something intimate in that touch, just a hint of aftercare as Jaide finally opened her eyes with a calmness and clarity that was almost scary.

"You tell," Her breaths were coming heavy but stable "all your whore friends," she was calming down now. "they wanna take free turns with my baby daddy and girlfriend, then I'm gonna come looking for the family discount too." With that threat she turned and left Calli to recollect herself looking at Scar recording with a smile on her face.

"Where do you wanna show me next babe?" More than a little bit of crazy in those eyes.

Kate
Kate could sense Jax's need for a fight even across the table... the same itch lingered under her skin and had for a long time. Unlike her son, she wasn't built to fight for money and probably didn't have the discipline to train to that point, but her youth had been bloodshed and violence every day and now... that demon that made Jax like this came just as much from the Ramage bloodline as from his father. His mother couldn't help but give him a knowing smirk all while they were acting diplomatic. If Izzy hadn't been in the room, she would have indulged him too. Because the only one that could truly challenge a Ramage was another Ramage. The only good fights she had ever gotten in her life had been out of her older brother, and out of his father. That's why she had happily been married to John for the remainder of his years... he was the only one outside of her family that seemed to really pose a threat to her. It was intoxicating. And Jax was a very good arguer. After all, he was John's son and John had been very good about being so reasonable it drove her into violence. He knew exactly what to say to test her, exactly what reactions would make her lose her shit and Jacob was doubly so. After all, children had the innate sense of where their parent's biggest buttons were.

"Listen, son... Whatever happens, and whatever it looks like you know that I have your back. You need to vent, just hit me up later..." Kate motioned towards her granddaughter with her head, to indicate that's exactly why she was trying to behave herself. It was a bit of code for 'if you want a fight later, we can have a shouting match that gets the cops called on us, not that they'd show up to my house.'

Now that the demons seemed under control, Izzy was back to her normal good girl self for Daddy, eating her nuggets and giving the obligatory dirty look when he stole one. All was good in her little world, as far as she was concerned.

Jax's Whores
Calli's pure blue eyes met Jaide's as the dark haired queen pulled away from her power show. It was clear what point she was making, but she wasn't sure if Jaide understood how this could backfire. Jaide thought she was threatening a bunch of whores... but Calli had just caught the same type of sexual feels she had caught for Jax and Scarlet long ago, and that meant the whores would hear that threat like it was a promise for the best orgasm in the world. Because Jaide had definitely just given her a new one in her top five, and the other four all had some sort of involvement of Jax or Scar.

"Yes, Daddy!" The obedient little slut perked back with a cheshire grin on her face, legs shaking a little as she tried to slide off the table to clean it up and rearrange it.

Scarlet sent the video to Jax and then slipped her cellphone in her bra. "Come see my office, baby. Bye Calli!" The queens walked away from the blonde spinner as if one of them hadn't just been fist deep in her cunt, and the blonde smiled and waved.

"It was nice meeting you Jaide! Hope to see you at brunch sometime!" it was as if she hadn't lost an ounce of energy from that outburst either.

When Joan had started featuring Scarlet shortly after Jaide's departure from their lives, the queen had cleared out an old prop closet and knocked down the wall between that and another room and turned it into a fairly nice private dressing room for her newest star. "I got... I had a really bad slut phase where I was spending more time eating bitches out than letting them get ready, and while I can do that and still show up on set in five minutes on point, they weren't as good... so Joan sentenced me to a closet..." Scarlet opened the door to the remodeled room. It was more than large enough that she had a corner desk against the farthest wall from the door, with one of the desks facing towards the door so that Scarlet's back was safely to the wall. There was a small love seat, a table with a vanity and a mess of makeup on it. Other than the disaster that was her make up collection, the office had clear signs of Scarlet everywhere: her first centerfolds were posted on the wall around the mirror. There was a Reg's hoodie hanging on a coat wrack by the door. And then there was behind the desk...

Scarlet flopped herself in her desk chair and reached underneath. "So Joan, the fucking genius bitch has a mini fridge under her desk." Two glasses popped up on top of the desk and the porn star poured them cold margaritas before handing her girlfriend one. "So I took a page out of her book naturally."

Behind Scarlet there were drawings obviously done by her children, and pictures of JJ and Izzy all over the wall in frames. It was the thing that Scar stared at on her hardest days. The reminder of what she did everything for. What she ate every cunt for. The desk was large and wooden, not cheap shit. It hid a mini fridge, a safe, and a few drawers that were kept under lock and key. The newest mac book pro sat on the desk top, but the real feature here was on the wall: Scar had at least six monitors with various clips up and editing software open. Nicky had been kind enough to set up a whole PC set up to handle her editting needs and store hundreds of hours of taping.

"I still do most of my own editing these days, when I have the time. Me and Joan take it as a point of pride to at least make first edits before handing it off to someone else to refine and cut down on the time to fit deadlines and upload limits. Everything runs through the internet these days. Oh man, have you heard about the OnlyFans thing? I've been thinking of having the girls have more of an intimate sort of thing for their fans to utilize and that'd be perfect!" Scarlet was talking a hundred miles per mini, incredibly excited to tell Jaide about her new projects. Knowing that Jaide would be proud of her for building until she no longer needed to be in front of the camera to make a dollar. There were royalties and other things that kept clean money in their pockets. She paid her taxes, did her community service and played her part. Now Jaide would be a part of all of that too. "Oh shit, I suppose I gotta talk to Jax about what your cut of my shit is, after all I'm selling your property online ain't I?"

Jaide
Breathe, just breathe.

Jaide had never been a big reader, not dyslexic or disabled or anything like that, but it had never been something that she was rewarded for. Stripper's didn't care too much about their daughters ready enough books for a pizza party and neither did alcoholic gun runners. Instead, Jaide had become a little bit of both of them and focused on street smarts over anything else. It didn't matter if she needed her girlfriend to some up the Iliad to her if she could put a bullet in an op's head while Jax was drifting around the corner. That had been her first kill, fifteen. She'd been sucking Jax's cock in a stolen car when someone they knew had stabbed a Reg in juvie came walking out of a chicken place. Jax had been on the wrong side of the car to do the hit, so he'd slipped Jaide the piece and she'd done the work.

They hadn't even met Scar yet.

"I was reading this thing a while back, they leave all of these psych mags in parole office bathrooms, was saying some stuff about gender being a performance or something. But it had me thinking," She paused for a moment considering the drink in her hand but not downing it yet, "Everything we do is kind of a performance isn't it? Out there, on the camera, what I just did to that spinner..." She stopped then and reached for a paper towel, because of course Scarlet was ready to clean up any messes, and vigorously wiped at the hand that had just full-fisted its second porn star.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five.
Once her hand was clean she shoved a piece of gum into her mouth and dropped her hand before it could shove her thumbnail in the ginormous gap between her teeth.

"Only Phantasies. That's what you need. Your own thing. Avoid the scrutiny and keep more of the pie." Jaide finally took the drink of margarita, not downing it like she'd used to, but only doing a sip instead.

"Oh shit, I suppose I gotta talk to Jax about what your cut of my shit is, after all I'm selling your property online ain't I?"

Fuck, why does this whore have to be so Damn sexy.

Before Jaide could answer, suggesting a percentage, Scar's office phone started to ring. She couldn't see what the caller I.D. read.

Jax
It was hard, hearing his mom be the reasonable one. She was a drunk, she was a psychopath, she was a criminal. She had never been the reasonable one. But here she was, making more sense than the demons in his blood. It was hard to decide whether it helped or not. At least long term. In the short term it would get him out of this moment and into the next one. That was how he had been living for as long as he could remember. Plan long term, but act short. Someone smart had once said 'no plan ever survives first contact with the enemy' and someone else had turned that into 'everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.' There had been the beat in. then Deb, then Jaide, then Jaide and Deb, then Jaide then Scar, then JJ, then juvie, then prom, then the prison and the OD, and Gayle's arrest, and war, and Amity. It never really seemed to stop when you were on track to take the crown.

"Thanks again mom, for everything. I've got to handle a few things. You got the cherub?" Jax patted his daughter on the head and then leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. "Daddy'll be back after work baby girl. Behave for Granny." He loved taunting his mom with the moniker that JJ had bestowed on her. Thirty-three was not anywhere near the hoodrat record for being a grandmother, but it was still below the curve for the rest of the developed world. Though looking at a street where the most successful business was the liquor store certainly gave plenty of outsiders the impression Oak Hills hadn't yet joined the rest of the free world when it came to development.

With a kiss on the lips for his mother and a wave goodbye, Jax took the back steps down to the landing at the back of the corner store and then ducked out into the back alley, reaching down for his main phone and leaving the other two for his second checks. Jax had three phones on him at all time. His main phone, whose number swapped around every month or three and if you didn't have his new number that was on you; his bitch burner which was constantly going off with booty calls and random pics from the wreckage; and then there was the burner he stood on business with. Jax looked at the text from twenty-plus minutes ago, seeing Jaide kissing Calli with a hand between her thighs, and he had many mixed feelings.

On the good side of things, he was glad that Jaide was finding herself again, making the type of moves that he expected from Jaide while she was chafing under some of the changes and new rules that came with this transition back to the Street. On the other hand, his dick enjoyed playing through the whole video that the cuckquean supreme had captured of Jaide sending him a message. But then there was the part of him that knew he needed to tame that brat named Jaide all over again, so he gave Scar's office a call. The first words he spoke to the second love of his life were simple, they were tense, but there was also that bit of fun in it as well.

"Tell my bottom bitch to get under your desk and get to work. I wanna talk to you."

"All eyes on me, in the center of the ring just like a circus... Britney Spears had that shit right, baby. Every movement I make is in the spotlight, even behind closed doors. No matter how hard I try to keep it on the down low, there's always someone looking to catch me out and put me in a headline these days. And now you have to deal with that same situation. At least you don't have cameras on you 24/7 at this point. I made this choice to live this life, but now my life is reduced to a series of performances. Whether I'm in the hood, in the studio or in Jax's bed. Remember how we used to joke about Joan having a mask for every occasion? I understand why now. To make it in this industry you have to be a hell of an actress to make it anywhere big. You have to convince the camera it's not just another day, another bitch. That you'd rather be at home playing video games with your son and sucking your man's dick instead of showering in the pussy juice of ten bitches you somehow half own suddenly," Scarlet's tone didn't make it sound as exhausting as her words implied it was. At this point, it was just another part of her existence.

That was possibly the most disconcerting thing about what the red head had evolved from: she seemed phase by so few things, like she had already seen the worst the world had to offer. What pain was the Queen hiding behind those ever shifting eyes? Or was Jaide just reading too much into it? Was there any part of the genuine Scarlet Lawrence she had fallen in love with left? Or was every thing she did really just for show, even to the people she loved?

Speaking of shows, Jaide felt the tension as a near-evil smirk slid over those pretty red lips of her lover when the phone rang.

Scarlet had engineered this with that video earlier. She wasn't just playing cuckquean, she was also sending Jaide's message to Jax. She knew that Jax would make a call to check in on his bitches after a stunt like that. Instead of picking up the receiver to answer the phone, her succubitch eyes locked onto Jaide's green eyes as she pressed the speaker phone button to answer the call. "This is the office of Scarlet Lawrence," she answered professionally, though Jaide still didn't realize who was calling until Jax came over the speaker.

Both women could still remember that stoned moment where Jaide had coined the succubitch term for Scarlet's eyes.

Scar looked stupidly at Jaide. "What the fuck is a 'succubitch'?"

"What?" Jaide returned the same stupid look at her girlfriend, acting like she didn't just mumble the word that Scar was asking about.

"You just mumbled something about 'stupid succubitch eyes', so what the fuck is a succubitch?"

There was a pleasant blush on Jaide's cheeks upon realizing Scar had heard her all too well. "Oh um... it's nothing."

However, Scar wasn't accepting that answer. She reached out and cupped a braless tit under Jaide's hoodie and suddenly twisted a nipple. "What. Is. A. Succubitch, Jaide."

"Jesus fuck you whore!" Jaide tried to hide her orgasm as her oversensitive pierced nipple was manipulated so roughly. "You've been learning too much from Jax."

The two bitches stared each other down before Jaide finally caved, blush deepening. "Your eyes. They do this stupid color shift thing and it fucking makes me want to kill people for you or move a whole damn mountain?" she seemed shy and a little confused about the answer, squirming uncomfortably in the same way that Scarlet had long ago realized was a form of gay panic. "Play on succubus and a little bit how good of a cock sucking bitch you've turned out to be. Me and Jax were talking about it one day and that's what we came up with while trying to describe it."

The memory was more pleasant that the shiver the edge in Jax's voice seemed. She realized all too late Scar had been video taping and sending it to him earlier. "Hi Daddy, I love you too!" Jaide said a little sarcastically, bratting off because she was certain she was about to be taught a lesson. It was a defensive technique she had seen Kate pull a hundred times with John when she was a kid, and it was just as frustrating for their son when his woman did it too. She really did need taming after the last few years on her own.

Back on the Rez before she had cleaned up and decided to take her shit seriously, she had been in charge. There were plenty of drug dealers that sold under her, and she had so many bitches and dicks just a speed dial (or a speed ball) away. She owned street corners and gas station bathrooms, and had survived pretty well. She had figured out some things quickly about having her own little empire: there was a reason they warned you to not get high on your own supply, and that power came with dangers, and sometimes that danger just wasn't worth it. You had to be careful of Feds, something that the Regs had learned over the course of all the RICO bullshit.

That was a level of bullshit Jaide knew that Jax and Scar had handled with finesse, even if they had to take a much smaller cut of everything to spread the legal money amongst their extended family. Rory and Joan had done a damn good job diversifying the money at least. And Kate somehow hadn't been caught with guns a single time yet in all of her years of running.

As Jaide walked around the desk and proceeded to crawl under the nice large space, she realized Scarlet must have had this desk especially built to accommodate a human under it. There was plenty of room under here for her to move even when Scar pulled her chair back in.

"Okay, I have Daddy's little bitch under the desk. We were just talking about how I needed to talk to you, so perfect timing. What's up? How was your lunch date with your mom and Izzy?" the queen spread her legs for her lover as she leaned back in her chair and opened her laptop, multitasking three things at once just to show off to Jaide.

"You can keep me on speaker, if that slut hears anything you ain't holding her tight enough." Jax answered the question that wasn't asked, the sound of his lighter flicking coming over the line as he started to burn a cigarillo. That was all of the acknowledgment that a brat was going to get, because she was right. This call was partially a lesson, baby girl had touched daddy's toys without permission, and while he respected the message and the ballsy move, he was still going to hit back on that because of who he was. It was their way of showing that they loved each other. Even while figuring out what that meant in this new space and their new roles.

"Lunch with moms was alright, went a few rounds about those few rounds coming up. She said she'll watch the kids that night though, give us all some time to ourselves. I'm gonna put in a few extra hours with Moshe at the gym, work on that left hook and all that. Got Javi running the shift at Amity, but I still might swing by, check in on Adriana." Adriana Di Capri was the woman behind the power that was Club Amity, making sure that the place stayed a neutral ground and a starting point for revitalizing the Oak Hills industrial district. She also was helping Jax manage the Pits now that he was master of them. Of course he was fucking her, that smile didn't fail, but it was as much business as it was pleasure. Million Dollar Pussy didn't come cheap, but it sure bought you a lot of leverage when it came to some of their moves with the Di Capri's, so long as Alphonse Di Capri didn't find out his best customer fucked his eldest daughter like a little whore.

Blowing some smoke out he listened for a moment to how Jaide was doing, letting Scar give him those little breaths and sighs that served as an in the moment review. There were guys watching his back, even at that moment, but none of them needed to get too close to him. Sure, he'd roll with numbers any day, but he didn't need someone pulling at his sleeve every minute of everyday. Sometimes it was good for the king to walk alone in his life.

"You ever hear more about that Monae thing?" Jax added casually, name dropping two bitches that he was fucking already as a way to gloat to Jaide. See if she was actually gonna take the time to make her threat real and go for some of the things that he owned. Or if she was going to learn her place from this call. There was still something else that he needed to mention, the way that their hierarchy was going to work now. Namely, Scar was the bottom bitch now. As much as his heart burned for both of them. He wasn't sure how he was going to put it just yet, but as much as he loved Jaide, he was too scared to trust her just yet.

Scarlet knew these challenges and bumps would happen as they made the transition into Jaide being a part of the new situation, so it was good that it was happening so early. The earlier that Jaide and Jax got their posturing out of the way, the sooner that Scar could go back to her peaceful existence. So she squished her bitch's face between those thighs so at best Jaide would hear muffled conversation for most of it.

"Tell Mel I said hi if you do swing by, she owes me a brunch date," Scar casually acknowledged one of Jax's fuck toys by name, as if it were nothing, while loosening up her grip where necessary so Jaide heard EXACTLY what she and Jax wanted her to hear. As mad as it might make Jaide, Scar had so far done a good job on directing Jax's dick exactly where she needed it. Hell, she had even weaponized it already at the nice private school Scarlet had picked out for their children, getting a PTO mom off her back. Clearly all the bitch needed was a solid dicking, and she acted like she was best friends with Scar while at PTO meetings. Good stats, good teachers, lots of extra curriculars that meant the kids could do pretty much whatever they wanted. JJ had taken to basketball mostly so far. Scar could see Izzy getting into dance or gymnastics as she got older. Something that would get the brat a scholarship would be very nice.

Jaide knelt there teasing Scar's pierced clit with her tongue piercing while listening as hard as she could. She knew this was a challenge she couldn't back away from. She also wasn't bold enough to take her brattiness out on Scar at the moment, mostly because she knew Scar would tattle if she misbehaved. It was a game they played back and forth... it really wasn't so much as Scar would maliciously tell on her, just that Jax was very persuasive when it came to getting answers out of the red head. Even if Scar lied, he'd know and give her that smirk that made her drop her panties (if she were in the habit of wearing any), slow dick her into oblivion until she was willingly admitting what Jaide had done.

While Jax wasn't sure how to put the fact that Scarlet was bottom bitch, Scar was far more ready for that position than one might think. Joan had spent Jax's time in prison teaching her parts of being a queen that Jaide would have fulfilled before the fall out. Because at the end of the week, Joan was that same thing just with far more weight on her shoulders. Weight that Scarlet would some day have to handle. Joan loved to pretend she'd live forever, but the truth was that her life was the poster child from gutter whore in a shitty motel to a Queen with her own castle and her clutches deeper in the entertainment industry than even Gayle probably realized. Scar had the same quality of being able to schmooze with the investors, only she never had to drop to her knees to get what she wanted. Joan had recognized that very early on in her career and if nothing else Joan was a woman with the means to mold anyone into anything she wanted them to be.

Scar let out a particularly loud moan as Jaide slipped her experienced tongue as deep as it could go. "No, I haven't heard from or seen Monae in a week. Joan's pissed about something though, and she's pissed at both of us, so I'm sure you'll hear from the whore's mouth soon enough," that was a half lie. Joan had pinned Scar against the wall just a few days back about Monae being on some harder shit than she should have ever been allowed. Scar didn't have to tell Joan that Jax had been involved; Monae had already done that damage before Scar had a chance to know what Jax had done. "That's a problem for later though, Daddy."

"I was just realizing a few minutes ago that Jaide still part-owns my ass. So now we need to figure out what her cut is and where it comes from," if anything that was Scar code for knowing exactly where her spot was in their relationship. Any other bitch would fight for being on top, but Scar was a submissive in every sense of the word. She didn't want to be top bitch unless it was for fun. Jaide and her had a dynamic she wasn't willing to change any time soon. Even if it was a little fun pretending to domme the other girl. "God, Daddy she's still so great with her mouth."

Jaide knew there'd be a signal somewhere in the conversation that Jax would give her to get her to make Scar cum, but until then she just casually rubbed that gspot with her tongue, nuzzling that little bundle of nerves so many other bitches couldn't even find on occasion.

He could almost hear the CLACK of metal on metal coming over the speaker of the phone, the lapping, slutty sound of flesh on flesh and fold on fold. Even if they didn't quite carry through the phone itself, they did come through in every hitch of breath and sigh of pleasure that came through the phone in Scar Law's voice. Scarlet had always been the actress, the one who could get Jax and Jaide out of trouble by curling her mascara right, ruffling her hair just so, adding a bit of hump to that strut and then just talking. Jax had read a bit about oratory up the coast, it was touched on in a lot of common prison books. The Laws of Power and others gave lots of tips on how to properly present yourself to achieve your goals. Some of it had been useful for Jax, others had not, because at the end of the day he was going to be who he was going to be, and if that meant that Ty was going to need to put his hands on him to prevent him from putting hands on someone else then that's just how it was.

Scar though, she never seemed to be without words, always ready to say exactly what needed to be said in order to move their pieces further down the board. They had been just surviving for a minute now. Holding things together while hw as working up the coast and she was holding down the homefront and the porn front. Then he'd come back down the coast and they'd met each other again. They'd told each other that what they needed was a little bit more money, a little bit more security and then they would be good. He'd been Gayle's driver with passive income on the side, in the room where the business was going down even if he wasn't putting ink on any paper. Then the Sweet arrests had happened and everyone with skin in the Regs game had been snatched up. Two years of tension, FBI investigation and war had followed to put them on top. After that they'd been frugal, because new king's with empty war chests die fast. Earning like they'd never earned before but unable to clean or spend most of it while Rory rebuilt their laundering model from scratch.

And during all of that, Scarlet Lawrence had not missed a single beat. He expected the same level of competence from his bitch with this Jaide thing as she had given him during all of that other shit.

"Yeah, I been thinking about that too. It ain't like she a soldier coming down the coast or anything. She my girl, and she a down bitch for sure. But it ain't like I wanna give her too much walk before she can run, you hear me? I think she's good where she's at right now." On her knees, eating cunt and waiting for his word to do anything more. "I ain't taxing whatever she's got coming down the pipeline from the Casino or wherever, and I ain't leaving her unemployed. If she gets it, she'll know what to do." That was his way of saying it without saying it on an open line. Scar was the bottom bitch for the moment, while Jaide adjusted to being back and Jax made sure that those big changes didn't fuck her up. He didn't say it like it was a punishment, or like he was betting against her, his voice was more casual about it. It is what it is.

And if Jaide could take it how it was, then he would hear Scar cum in not too long at all.

The brat in Jaide made her puff her chest a little indignantly, thinking Jax was throwing shade at her initially. And before the fallout, she would have acted out the offense without thinking. She really wanted to believe she had grown up a little though, and so for once she put some real thought behind her actions.

This was a lot. There were a lot of changes. Calli. Apparently another number of sluts. And all of it seemed approved by Scar. Hell... It seemed... Conducted by Scar almost. That hint of power made Jaide realized that they had all grown up. Jax wasn't punishing her, she could recognize that in his voice the more she replayed the words, her tongue spelling them out on Scar's g spot and her clit. No, Jax was making sure she didn't end up with too much on her bar before she had learned how to handle the reps. Jaide had spent enough time working out to know you didn't try to lift shit that was too heavy without proper training and preparation. He was just making sure she was comfortable in her own skin.

Scar's breath suddenly got a little heavier, and with a strain she leaned forward and spoke into the speaker. "Can your dumb little slut make your favorite red headed whore cum, Daddy?" she asked permission properly like a whore should, but Jaide had learned a few things from the newer Scar she was handling. One of those was how to force that orgasm.

Whether Jax gave permission or not, the dark haired queen had the crimson porn star singing for their man, the familiar sounds of Scarlet's "Oh fuck Jaide!!" accompanied by a long, satisfied moan. Her thighs crushed Jaide's face.

If she gets its, she'll know what to do.

As far as Jax was concerned, he had already given Jaide to do exactly what she wanted to do before Scar had even started to beg. But that silence in-between his speaking the words, and Jaide understanding and fulfilling them was one of the longest moments of his life. Not quite as long as the first time he had killed a man, but it felt similar. The only sound coming to his ear being the moans and sighs of his bottom bitch getting the soul fucked out of her by his first bitch's tongue. That she didn't just stop and cuss him out felt like a good sign, but the length of time she was taking to do it all... that seemed to him like a bad sign. And then, the familiar sound of Scarlet losing control over her body came through the phone and he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Good girls." Jax said over the phone, rewarding both of his bitches for the obedience that they had shown. In that moment, he felt the peace that he hadn't truly been able to experience for years now. That peace that he had first experienced one Christmas day a long time ago when both of the women who he was fucking under his mother's roof and behind each other's backs presented themselves to him with the cherries on the backs of their necks. That night, and for nearly a month afterwards, all of his wants and needs in the world had been fulfilled. Fulfillment came as a double-edged sword, however, because it was that hungry edge inside of him that allowed him to get the better on gangsters that were years, or even decades older than him who had experience, physical strength and numbers over him. His first opponents had been older teenagers when he was just starting to deal on the corner and run girls, punks who thought that because he was a kid that they could knock him around and try to reach into his pocket. He'd caught one of them rolling bones in a back alley and kicked his knees out behind him, before reintroducing his fist to his face until they agreed just whose territory was whose. After getting stomped on by a kid, that particular Regulator had had no other choice to save his pride and livelihood in town than to do what Jax told him to.

Other older gangsters had taken the lesson as well. There was no underestimating if you came for Jax.

Then, only a a year after getting out of jail, Jax had taken on two other older men and rivals with interest in taking the crown. Wyld and Monster. Both OGs. The three of them had split all of the turf that the 13th Street Regulators had ever held. Vying with each other for corners, for access to product, for girls, for any source of income that could give them an edge over the others. All while also navigating all of the other gangs in the city who had smelled the blood in the water. Jax had burnt Nord meth labs and mounted heads on spikes, had negotiated with and outmaneuvered King of the 91'er's and the dirty cops he thought he could hide behind again and again. Jax had needed to offer territory to Cesar in return for moving against Monster. And then Monster had wet a block with Jax's friends blood and T had rolled up on Wyld with an ultimatum while Tyler was resting in a hospital bed. Wyld was either with Jax, or he was T's personal enemy. Even in a wheel chair T was a bloody man.

With all of those forces Jax had put money on Monster's head, and a traitor had paid up. Pavel, Monster's right hand man from back when they were just some toughs that Gayle hired to watch the blocks their hookers walked and guard the Squib's, had taken the quarter-mil offered and given Jax both Monster's hideout and where he kept his stash. By the end of 2019 every single person that had pressed for Monster as King in Haven City had either died, been brought over and forgiven, or fled. Jax still regretted letting Tej escape at a bus stop just outside of Denver. But it had been the only way to make sure that Detroit stayed Reg.

"I'll talk to ya'll bitches later. You'll see me after dinner. Heard?" Once he had confirmation from both bitches, without saying anything close to 'I love you' out loud, he continued about his day. First meeting with Moshe, then meeting with Melanie.

The Queens

Scar melted in her seat the moment she was done cumming, raking her right hand through Jaide's hair lovingly as a reward. "See you after dinner, Daddy!" she purred for him. Jaide merely made some random muffled sounds, her head still squeezed tightly between Scar's beautiful thicc thighs. It took a few minutes before Scar let her loose and only then it was with a sweet smile. "You did really good today, queenie. We gonna go home now, I think you've done enough damage to cunts today!"

The car ride home was relaxed for the red head, while Jaide stewed in the back seat micro analyzing every move that was made and every word that was said. The game had gotten a lot more complicated now that they were sitting near the top, and only now was she really seeing the webs Scarlet and Jax were delicately weaving and balancing. With the RICO thing just barely behind them nothing was safe from the fire if it got out of control. Jaide just hated that this was Scarlet's way of showing her how things would have to be from now on if Jaide was going to catch up. She tried not to think about the fact Jax had dropped clear clues he would come home smelling like other bitches. The stubborn, possessive part of her hated that she was just supposed to be okay with that. It went against her nature. Clearly it was just engrained in Scar's DNA though.

From the test to dinner with Kate, Jaide chewed her way through two packs of gum before it was even time for her to head out the door to head to Jax's mom's. Any other person would have tried to find a reason to not go. Jaide knew better; Kate would hunt her down if she didn't show up, and then there'd be a fist fight instead of whatever Kate had planned for her.

"Oh babe, you act like Kate's going to put a bullet in your head when you walk in the door!" Jaide closed her eyes as she stood at the front door, hesitating just a little until Scar walked up behind her and grabbed her tits.

"Listen, babe... a bullet in the head sounds a hundred times better than what's probably actually going to happen. Kate's gonna get in her feels, I'mma get in my feels, and then we'll both feel shit and that's waaay worse than a quick merciful death!" Jaide leaned back against her lover and rested her head on those beautiful pillows Izzy had helped Scar achieve naturally. There was nothing worse for Jaide than dealing with emotions, especially when it came to her wannabe mother figure.

"Oh. Shit. Didn't think of that. Oh well good luck!" Scar kissed Jaide on the cheek and then disappeared like she was expecting to get hit for that.

Jaide started what felt like the longest walk of her life not knowing if she was early, or late, or if Kate maybe did intend to just end her quick.

Kate

The matriarch of the Jackson family wasn't someone you wanted to keep waiting, but simultaneously was usually too drunk or stoned to even know what the fucking time was. So Jaide's promptness or lateness didn't really mean shit unless Kate had to cook her own dinner.

Nothing in the house had changed since '97 outside of a few more drawings on the walls, and the TV had been upgraded to a flat screen TV sometime in the last three years. The bookshelf John had put together was still there, and with the same books that had always been there, though there were a few gaps where Jax had taken books out to read after getting out of prison. Kate kept that bookshelf there despite not doing much reading herself because it was important to him.

Despite being a man of few words and much action, John held words in the highest esteem. Books, music, poetry... all of it. And he swooped into Kate's world one day and changed her entire worldview on the concept of language and how words could affect so much. In practice, she knew it; she was a musician after all, and she and her brother had spent most of their childhood and teenage years in makeshift bands following every trend under the sun when it came to music. Even now, Kate still regularly wrote in her little rap diary.

Inside a tiny book were scribbles of rhymes, and it wasn't the only one of its kind. Her husband had bought her the first one day when she was bemoaning the fact she had had the perfect inspiration for a verse earlier in the day but in her pregnancy state her mind just couldn't hold onto the words, so she had lost in. The next day she had woken up to a pocket sized bound notebook that she had quickly filled every space of. And then another. And another... A new one every six months it seemed. He didn't mind the expense; it kept her writing and kept her rapping and what was rap if not just poetry with a beat?

The front door wasn't locked, realistically it probably never was. The Gayles had spent thousands on their security system and the men that protected their front porch and Kate could slip past every measure put in place without losing a step. It had made Kate realize if someone wanted in her house to steal her shit, they were going to get in no matter if she was home or not. So why lock the door? If someone came in threatening her, there were enough guns in this house for her to blow them away.

One of which she had pulled apart and deconstructed, each component being meticulously cleaned and oiled while she waited on Jaide. Two thick T-bone steaks were sitting on the counter with the seasoning settling in, while the cast iron griddle sat on the stove. Kate had been generous and had thrown together her special garlic mashed potatoes, because at once point in life that had been one of Jaide's favorite comfort foods that Kate cooked. Kate had a joint between her lips while she worked on her favorite side arm.

It was quintessential Kate, as if she had somehow frozen in time in that house waiting for the inevitable heat death of her universe.
