"I know you are... I like that part of you two..." She nodded a bit then looked through her bag quietly and smiled seeing the flames. She watched the fire then nodded as it flared up. "Good." She smiled slightly then looked through the back a bit more before pulling out some thicker sturdier wire and forming it into a hook shape. She fiddled with it for awhile. Kana figured her brother knew how to do this but... she wanted to be of some use... she just did not want to rely on him for everything. She smiled and attached it before hanfing it to him.
"Good enough?" She asked tilting her head. "I do not... have any bait... so.... yeah..." She smiled a little. "I could dig up some worms!" SHe laughed a little. Kana then blushed playing with her pants a bit. She hated bugs so she would not be digging them up.
He smiled at her."Thank you."He said."Let the water come to a boil before you remove them alright."He said."Oh bait...Well don't worry...Big bro can get the bait."He said and rubbed her head."Don't worry I know you don't like bugs so I will take care of it."He added and started to dig up the dirt. Finding a few worms he picked on up and tied it around the hook."Alright time to fish us some food."He said and sat down near the stream gently dropping the hook into the water and now all he had to do was wait for the fish to start biting.
"So tell me Kana...What should we do for fun?"He asked as he looked back at her. She was usually the brains when it came to fun. Since he hardly went around with friends to hang out it had always been him and his sister playing whatever came to mind. And he went along with it.
"Alright." She nodded then watched the water as she knelt by the fire watching the water for when it boiled. "Good, worms are icky!" The girl stated sounding like a small child. She stuck her tongue out looking at him dig up the worm. She was indeed telling the truth. She hated worms and other little critters. The water had been cold so it was taking a bit to heat up.
"Er...fun?"
"I do not know..." She muttered before sighing gently before playing with the wateredge of her shirt. She was watching the water not really looking at him. Kana was thinking. Personally she was not in the mood for fun.
He nodded."Alright."He said."I just want to make you smile always."He said."This isn't really bad we aren't going to die out here."He said."We can make due with what we have and later on in life we will soon find a place that will accept us with open arms."He said and rubbed her head."Let's just enjoy the outdoors...Think of it as camping just with out the tent and anyone else but us."He said.
"After we get done eating let's follow the stream up river and see if we can find a waterfall."He said."I want to take a shower or at least get cleaned."He said."We are on an adventure and we are brave explorers."He said with a smile. He was only trying to make things seem more fun.
Unfortunetly she was old enough to understand things did not always work out like such. Adventures never ended well if anything they ended horriably. Kana was playing with a strand of her hair and nodded to her brother. "Alright..." she stood and walked to a tree and sat against it. As she sat their she began to do one of her many nervous habits, this was one of the minor ones but the way she did it proved she was not happy and that she was extremly worried and upset.
Her finger twirlled and untwirlled a peice of her long hair, over and over again as she tugged at it and rocked a bit. She was kneeling their on the ground just playuing with her hair in a methotical mannor. She really did seem upset.
He set the rod down and walked over to her. Getting behind her he pulled her into his lap and put his arm's around her."It's alright."He said."Im here...Nothing bad will happen."He said as he held her tightly to him. He knew the many signs of how upset she was. Even if it was small. And he always had to try and bring her back to a happy mode."Sis it's not going to be worse then living with uncle...we are free and Im with you."He said."Isn't that what you wanted?"He asked."For me to be with you and only you?"He asked softly and laid his head on her shoulder their cheek's touching.
Kana looked at her brother when he came over and held her on his lap. She nodded when he spoke to her and she just looked down not responding at the moment. She then spoke. "We... are on the run...right..?" She said quietly. "We can not work... have nothing to wear... when winter comes we will freeze... then if they find us.... then... you will be arrested for kidnap and... and I will be sent to live with him again...alone..." She muttered. She knew this could be turned into a kidnap and they would beilive their uncle. Her was resected arounf the community and considered a good person. Who would beilive two childrten over him... no one thats who... Thats how she thought.
He kissed her cheek."It's alright sister."He said."Nothing like that will happen...We will be ok during the winter...All we have to do is find somewhere to live."He said softly."Im here for you and I promise we will find a way out of this even if it means I have to work."He said softly kissing her cheek again gently."My sister my queen...The goddess of my life."He said as he stroked her side's gently. He just couldn't help it that his sister was so cute and fun to be with. But right now she needed comfort more then anything.
The girl was fourteen and could not help having such fears. Fears of dying in the forest with her brother. Causing him to go to jail for kidnapping if they were ever cuaght. There were so many possiablities and so many things that could go wrong it scared her to think about it and she did not want to. She rubbed her eyes a little and stayed quietly against him. She may have been fourteen but do to suclution from others she acted a bit younger. She sighed quietly eyes closed. "But...you have to use a fake name if ytou do....": She muttered. Then kept her eyes closed she just nodded when he spoke and kissed her cheek and what not. 'I am.. hungry... go catch some fish." She muttered wanting to be left alone at the moment, which was rare she just needed to calm down a bit.
He kissed her cheek again and rubbed her head gently."Alright."He said."If you want anything else just call me."He said and went over to the rod and started to fish. It was rare for her to want him to leave her side like that. It really didn't make sence to him but he might as well deal with it. She was going through a hard time. This was really the worst thing to happen to a child. But he was going to help her through it. And do whatever possible to keep his little sister alive and well.
After a few minutes he finally got some fish. He caught five of them with meant they would be splitting one of them."Hey sis I got some fish."He said with a smile holding them up to her. He moved the water and placed it just barely in the stream so the water would cool down. Now came the fun part."Did you pack a knife?"He asked her.
"Okay I am not... going anywhere... I am staying right here..." She smiled a bit looking at her brother as he wondered off to the the streem to continue fishing. She sighed. She knew she was just a burden on him and he would do much better if she was not around... she did not want to be a burden on him... she wanted to be helpfull... ay least a little... or just leave... she sighed then smiled a bit seeing he got some fish. She walked over then nodded when he asked about a knife. "Uh... yeah... I packed things that book said you need for survivle..." She muttered. She read alot.
Reaching into her bag she pulled out a large pocket kife. Were she got it.... better not to ask. "Here... this good?" She asked handing it to her brother. She had two of them. She even had first aid kits. Plenty of stuff in the bag, no blankets since they only had the one in their room and what not.
He smiled when she gave him the knife."Thanks."He said."Here sit down next to me and I will show you how to gut a fish."He said."So that you can try and do it."He said. And took the knife out."What you want to do is have the knife away from you and do this."He said and pierced the underbelly and making a long cut letting the contents fall onto th ground."That's how you open a fish. Then you have to get rid of the head...No one like's fish heads."He said and cut the head clean off. "Now it can be eaten boneless or just eat it like a rib and spit out the ribs."He said as he finished the fish off before putting it on a stick and putting it over the fire."Here now you try."He said.
Kana slowly went and sat down next to her brother legs folded indian style as she watched her brother. "I know how to use a knife." She muttered when he told her basic safety for using a knife. She placed both hands on her knees and watched as he gutted the fish out. She just made a weird face it showed her dislike for gutting of fish. it disgusted her. Though she decided to try it, be some what usefull to her brother. "Alright..." She muttered taking thew kife before looking at the fish. Carefull picked one up and copied it slicing open the belly and letting the stuff inside fall out before cutting off the head. It took her a little longer to do. She stick a stik on it and put it over the fire. "Like that?" She asked then realized she vcut her finger a bit. "Um... you do the rest..." She went over to the river and washed her heads. She then stuck her finger in her mouth sucking on the small cut before going back sittying next to her brother finger still in mouth.
He smiled at her."That's good."He said."My sister is a natural."He said as he finished up the rest of the fish. He started to turn them he didn't want him or his sister getting sick from the uncooked meat."Alright now Little missy...Let me see that finger your sucking on."He said as he held out his hand. He always forced her to show him her injurys reguardless of where they wounds was. He was always keeping her healthy and safe and injurys were a big deal when he saw her physically covering it up.
She had stuck her tongue out at him when he called her a natural she did not like it one but but... she had done it decently. She wathed finger in mouth as he finished gutting the fish and putting then over the fire before turning them. She tilted her head then sighed hearing her brother. Then from around her mouth she said. "no." She kept the finger in her mouth another moment before removing it from her mouth and showed him. "See! Only a cut!" It was a simple cut slightly deep but not deep enough to need stitches just enough to make it bleed for a little while. If they were home she would have acted more upset over it. She was indeed a cry baby when it came to pain but.. she did not want to bother him about something so small...
He smiled."Alright."He said as he pinned her down to the ground."Remember my punishment for no sis?"He asked."I give ya a hint."He leaned downed next to her ear."I will tickle you to you end up peeing your pants."He said with a smile. He never did tickle her that far just tickled her till she was out of breath and he would let her be on her way to do as she pleased. But usually she always complied or joked around if it wasen't a really bad cut."So shall I start tickling you?"He added with a chuckle.
Kana squirmed a little under her brother and glared a bit looking at him. "What ever." SHe shrugged and crossed her arms. "I showed you the cut." She muttered closing her eyes. She really did not want to be tickled but had done what he wanted and showed him the cut. She could not find what she did wrong. Even though he had said it was because she said no but... she did what he wanted and their was nothing to comply with.
He smirked and started to tickle her side's like he always did."You said No before you showed me your finger and I always punish you for saying no to me."He said. His punishments were always fun filled and yet not even harmful just some fun. He started to chuckle as he kept her pinned and tickling her. He hadn't tickled her ever since they lived with their parents. And that was only because they were just wrestling around one night when they left to keep him incharge of her during the night.
(I should have extended it then...It's at the front. He smiled."Alright." My bad for not making it longer.)
Kana giggled a bit then smiled as well when he tickled her. She squirmed a bit as well when he did so. The girl stared at her brother and giggled a bit again. She missed her parents but did not think about them much...well tried not to. She laughed again. "let me go." She smiled playfully but the whole time she blushed as well, then remembered something. "Um...the fish... might...er... burn..." She muttered quietly.
He chuckled."They were just turned."He said as he kept tickling her."Why should I let you go?"He asked."Your punishment isn't over till you pee your pants remember."He said jokingly. He would stop tickling her when she was hardly able to breath. That's how it always ended when he tickled her."I would worry more about stopping me then the punishment."He added.
Kana continued to squirm breathing rather heavy all ready she normally got out of breath easilly. She suddenly realized unlike all the other times she actually HAD to pee this time. "L-Let me go!" She muttered still giggling hard as she squirmed around. "I REALLY have to pee!" She said looking at him serious about it. She rarely lied. She giggled again.
She had used that many times before and so he just shook his head with a chuckle and kept tickling her. He really didn't think it to be true. "You've pulled that trick on me plenty of times before."He said with a smirk and kept on his assult of her side's. Not going to stop till he knew she really needed to stop. And they weren't really in to the tickling more then a minute or two.

"I REALLY need to go this time!" She said seriously but it was hard to convey if she was laying their laughing like a maniac due to his hands tickling her sides. She continued to squirm little a little worm. She had not gone since a few hours before they left that night and she seriously had to go. "Come on!" She continued laughing quickly becoming out of breath as she continued laughing while trying not to pee.
He shook his head."Come on sis you know that won't work."He said. He knew how she acted with her pleas and this was one of them. Had got him many time's but not this time. He was going to keep tickling her till he was certain she wouldn't say no for a cut again. But that would possibaly take awhile right now."Come on more tickling alright will do."He said as he started to trail his fingers all over her sides.
Kana was the stubborn type and would not give in easilly and this was one of those times where she was being stubborn. She continued to thrash around. SHe did not know how much longer she could hold this in, he was not giving in easilly. She continued to squirm not talking much more so... she just laughed awhile. She was extremly ticklish.As this continued she could feel her pee start to drip out of her, her pants starting to become wet. "Come on! I am going to pee!" She said aloud.
