Angelic and Vampiric (angelicxdream and I )

Claire had just curled up with him closer when he kissed her forehead. She was still anxious, afraid that he would hurt her unintentionally but still, it was frightening. She had groaned when he had kissed her forehead, and when she heard the creak of footsteps down the stairs, she went back to sleep only to wake up an hour later. She sat up, and began to drink the glass of water that was beside her beside table. He had left her. She pouted, moving into where he had slept, curling into the warm space. She wanted to tell him that she was lonely again. They had been apart, and now aching for his touch. She had a feeling he went to check up on his daughter. Just thinking about it made her cringe. She got up and changed into a t-shirt and a pair of black sweatpants. But, she stayed in bed. When he wanted to come upstairs, he could. Otherwise, she was going to stay in this lovely room all by herself.

Outside the house...
Several Figures dressed in black cloaks and roves appeared in a sudden flash of smoke and light. There eyes staring intently up on the hill, where the house of the angel and vampire lay. The whispered things to each other.
"This is it.... We kill her and the truth about mistress won't ever be revealed....." A cloak figured spoke out.
" She's an earthbound angel now, we need not fear her..."
"Lets get to it."

The cloaked figures stepped only a several feet away when a red light illuminated the wooden house and enveloped it.
"Shit a boundary alert field...
"I thought you said you disabled it.."
"Must've been intricately hidden."
The tension went from Zero to 100.

The hallways of the rooms were neatly illuminated in bright red. At that moment Richter knew the situation. He ran towards Eve who was getting food in the kitchen, and looked at her with great panic.
"Daughter of mine! Take Claire and get to the next safe house. I'll hold off these people, so you can make your escape! do it now!!!" Eve nodded her face expressionless. Yet with movements as swift as a swans, she rushed up stairs to Claire's room. Richter pulled out a near by sword to be ready for battle. It was going to be along day.

Eve rushed up to Claire's room, the alarms in the house going off in an instant.
"Mistress, Master says to take you and run, they've come for you... Eve said her voice for the first time sounded needing and urgent.

When Eve came bursting through her room, she almost screamed. "Don't do that! You scared me!" She rolled her eyes, and once she heard her urgent voice, reluctantly, she listened and began to pile up her chocolates, some of her favourite pants, shirts, dresses, bras, and underwear and she was ready to go. She was experienced with fast packing, as she had done this before. She flew down through the window, and landed feet first on the grass. She waited for Eve, and let her lead her to wherever she was to go. Secretly, she knew she had to thank Eve, but didn't want to. She didn't talk to Eve on the way there, even if she asked questions, she would be faced with silence. At least she wasn't cursing at her, that was a bonus. She walked with Eve, holding her bag in her hand, and wondered if Richter was okay. She sighed, and wondered when the running would end.

"shh" Eve spoke quietly, she was calm and collected like her father was. Throughout the run through the forest, she can't looking back at the diretion of the house, and wondering if her father was alright. She heard something up ahead, and head behind the rocks dragging Claire with her.
"were almost at the Teleport check point.... I'll just.." Before she could finish her words, the leaves on the floor bursted into flames. And a powerful pressure made it's self known to the Angel and homoncuouls. She ha a silver hair, and eyes as clear as the azure sky. She was angelic at the same time she wasn't. She looked over at the two quietly, brandishing a spear.
"my my Claire it certainly has been a while. Since we last met. hmmm when was that." She said sarcastically, looking at her, her tone of voice mocking.
"Oh I remember the day I got you exiled.... Well I'm just here to make sure you don't spill any more info about "That" ..." She said. Eve in that moment began to assemble the details
"Angel from the radical, faction and the one that exiled Claire here... we meet at last. " She summoned the a bladed weapon herself and began to get it it ready. She turned to Claire...
"Hide..

Meanwhile...
Richter found himself particularly caught up in the fight. A punch and a kick came almost out nowhere, and in an instant his faced turned to see another fist ram against his face, and kick swiped at his stomach. Soon his body smashed through the wall as he continued to fight the assasins. His face being pounded, and his sword swinging furiously, in the glistening sunlight. The battle was long.

So, Claire had seen some freaky angel come up. It was like an angel on crack, except.. she knew this person. She squinted, and remembered her best friend. Except, she looked corrupt. She wasn't angelic. There was no glow around her. She stared at her for a while, until Eve had pulled out some weapon or other. She really couldn't tell. But, wasn't she supposed to be with her husband, or boyfriend or whoever he was? Also, she had done her a favour! She had her exiled. So, why was she here? She hadn't done anything to her! She was a fighting an internal battle within herself. She didn't know why. This just didn't make any sense. And on another note, she hoped Richter was okay. Adrenaline was racing through her veins, fear seeped into her normally clear blue eyes. She just didn't understand. Her body was trembling, shaking from the fear. "Why are you doing this?!"

The rogue Angel Miranda brandished her spear. Her smile as as deadly as poison, and her attitude as fierce as a hurricane. She smiled again at her prey, Claire and responded.
"Because... the Authority wants to consider some of the other angels appeal. They seek to seek out your testimony on the whole incident. " With those parting words, she rasied her spear, with one swift movement, she went on the offense. Eve herself met with Miranda with the same kind of vigor, her blade meeting with her spear. A flash of light, and then the battle intensified, greatly. They were both equal to each other. It was like watching to ballet dancers, move as gracefully as a swan.

The battle persisted for hours, until it finally happened. Eve managed to disarm, Miranda. She was looking at the girl with astonishment.
"But I've been training for a hundred years."
"Give it up...." Eve responded, her blade pointed to Miranda's throat. Victory seemed assured but there was something that wasn't right. And Miranda gave a leer of a smile.
"Like HELL I WILL!" Before Eve could respond, Miranda touched the blade with her fingers, and instantly broke it. She removed a dagger from her belt, and stabbed Eve in he chest. Eve cried out in pain and fell to the ground.
"My win...." She turned to Claire advancing on her.
"No offense but I have to kill you to keep my place up there. ." Eve said, a smile on her face, she took another dagger from her belt and she readied it on Claire. Before she should even strike though something miraculous happened.

Miranda suddenly fell to the ground in front Claire, her eyes going dead. She fell on her front, and protruding out of her back, was the dagger, she used to stab Eve. Miranda body burst into flames.
" You alright Mistress?" Eve asked, concern lined in her eyes. She noticed she wasn't injured, and she sighed with relief falling to her side. Right on the floor near Claire. Her body was was steaming as if it itself was about to burst into Flames. Eve knew she didn't have much time Left so she uttered her last words.
"Mistress... I know you never truly liked me, and I didn't like you, yet my master and Father wanted you. I need not stand the way of his Happiness. The more I learned about you in your file tough." Eve coughed, her pausig the moment. "I hoped that you would like me... you seemed so kind an genrous. I was hoping you would be my mother.." For the first time, tears flitted her eyes. "That's all I wanted to say.. god by M-" Flames Enveloped her body and then... Ashes soon replaced her.

Ricther arrived moments later, and witnessed the burning body. He knew, what had happened. Fate had deemed her time to be now. He walked up to the pile of ashes, kneeling down, his expression on readable. He didn't cry, but It seemed that he wanted to scream at the world.
"I heard from one of the men I killed that Miranda came herself, did she get away." He responded, his heart torn asunder.

Claire had closed her eyes shut by the time Eve had died. She could hear Richter's soft voice, it was unusual, different from how he usually spoke. She could tell he was sad. But, her mind was racing. She couldn't even speak. In her mind, she was remembering what had just happened, the flashes of the battle scene had been flashing in her head, when that creature, Miranda had first showed up. When Eve was trying to save her. It was all spinning in her mind. And with death, well.. someone as fainthearted as her couldn't stand it. So, she had just sat here. Her eyes looked like it was void of any emotions, she sat there, gods knows how long. With no one but Richter by her side, but then again, she couldn't really feel his presence. He was about as dead as she was. She didn't know if she should cry or be ashamed. She had hated her, and now, she didn't know if she hated her for defending her, or hated her for not hating her. She sighed. It was all very confusing. And at the same time, she didn't want to deal with it. She wondered what she should do now. She felt so empty. It was strange. Didn't she want this for Eve? Didn't she want her death? Or, did she want something worse than death for Eve? Emotional suicide. Make Richter choose between the two of them. That had been her plan originally, but now.. there was no chance of that. Eve had died. But, it seemed like.. she was.. 2nd choice? Like, he would choose Eve before her. But, he had asked Eve to take care of her safety, that's how they ended up where they were.

(hope you don't mind the time skip..)

Many days have passed since that battle. Miranda was dead and there was an upheaval in heaven. With the help of the ruling authority many of the exiled angels were placed under divine protection, meaning the radical faction can no longer touch the any of the exiles with out being banished to the underworld. Richter of course relayed all of this to his lover, and soul mate Claire, after he had finished clean up with the safe houses. He had finally managed to return things to the way they were for the most part. Eve's death was still a lingering shadow in the relationship, but Richter sensed that would soon go away. In truth he didn't know what to think of Claire at that very moment. After all she was the one that rejected Eve, and her desire for to be her mother..

Richter was there standing over Eve's Grave, and memories swam through his head.
"Papa!! Master! look at this!" Eve got back from a local wizard school to show that she produced a blue rose.
Another memory...
"Master... about what master Kovacs said..
"Don't worry about it... so long as I'm here we'll fight your fate together.."
Eve gave a pitying expression, at the same time it was joyous.
"okay...

Another memory...
" I don't think she likes me..."
"She will... give her time..
"But the way she looks at me."
"She'll have t accept you sooner or later." Richter said, when he was talking with Eve in his hospital bed. The sun had finally fallen during that time and night and moonlight flooded the room.

"Good by my daughter... my servant.." Richter bowed, to her grave. It was a cold day, even though it was as sunny as the daisy lying on the grass. Richter's expression was finally resolute these past few days a little bit hard on him. In fact he didn't talk to Claire for a while. Last he remembered he dropped her off at his manor. He wondered if she would still be there after the danger had passed. He flew this time, with great swiftness. To the manor. An empty home now, he had hoped it wouldn't be empty for long. He opened the door quietly
"Claire... honey.. are you here." Richter said yelled, his voice echoing the halls .

Claire was in his manor, in their bedroom. Sometimes, she felt like he blamed her for Eve's death. So, she didn't touch him anymore. Unless he touched her, and she'd attempt to muster up an attempt to cuddle, or whatever he wanted. She was sitting on the floor, her legs crossed, and looked at the mirror. Her skin had become considerably paler, it wasn't like before where she didn't eat, no she did eat but small portions. Maybe a small bowl of cereal in the morning, a salad for lunch, always something small, she never pigged out anymore. She knew that Richter had a reason to distance himself away from her, she had all the motives to kill Eve, and she wanted her death, but just emotional death, like that would hold well with him if she brought it up. So, she stayed quiet most of the time. And, she always stared at her reflection, her eyes seemed so emotionless, almost empty. She heard his feet, stepping against the wooden planks of the home, and waited for him to come into the bedroom. She laid back, and looked up at him as he came in, before looking back at her reflection. That was as much a greeting as he got now. She didn't know what to say, what to do, he kept his emotions hidden, refusing them to surface. And, now.. she was left with a shell of a soulmate.

"Hello." She said softly, acknowledging that he had seen her. Most days.. she was in her own home. And since her previous home had bad memories, she had taken up another apartment, more luxurious, filled with priceless paintings. She had spent most days shopping, and she'd come home to her apartment without Richter. Even though she didn't feel as much pain as Richter did, she was mourning for her.

"hey.." Richter said silently. He shifted over and sat on the bed next to her lying body. He took her hand and kissed it gently, his eye locked on to hers. It had been so long since they had so much as even a hug or touch. It was finally time for some reconciliation. The moment eve died he was alone But deep down in his heart he knew that should not be the case. He wanted to experienced all the happiness in the world. And for him, so many people die of old age. He was eternal, and timeless seeing the world age and go by while he remained the same.

He laid next to her embracing you, and finally he spoke, his voice clear. Clearer than it had been for days.
" I'm sorry, for everything that's happened." He began to say. He coughed once. " For the misunderstandings, and the constant danger i've put you in. Eve gave her life for you and for that I'll eternally be grateful. it's time for me to move one now.... both us.." He leaned over her his face only inches away from her face. It was time to close this chapter of the story... and start a new one for them.
