The sounds of rats scurrying across the floor only accentuated the sense of loneliness and fear that came with the darkness of the prison. The sounds of prisoners whispering to themselves and scraping at their walls were the only companion ship offered by these four walls. Occupying one of the many cells was someone few could have expected…

The young but dangerous, Captain Skeith Takahata could be found huddled over in the corner of her cell a small pool of blood forming beneath her bent over head, some still dripping from her mouth. How the hell did she end up in this situation anyway? She couldn’t remember much about before she was captured. Some form of head trauma damaged her short-term memory.

The door to her cell opened and her tired, weary eyes glanced in its direction. Not surprising it appeared that the inquisitors were back for round two. Two guards collected her by her arms and carried her down the hall, her legs dragging on the ground behind them, further cutting up her knees and feet. As she was chained to the shackles and dangled from the ceiling, the half starved and disoriented captain watched the… two… three… four… maybe five inquisitors… She couldn’t tell anymore.

“…” Skeith’s gaze shifted as some form of incoherent speech reached her ears. “What?” A sharp pain caused her to cry out in pain as a whip split the flesh on her back, simply adding another scar to the ones they left last time. The young pirate’s eyes widened, as she was able to discern a glowing object on the end of a long metal pole. Skeith squirmed tiredly in vain as one of the inquisitors approached her. Her clothing was swiftly stripped away leaving her young frame open to the view of the inquisitors. She whimpered uncontrollably as the metal object was brought closer to her body.

A loud shriek of pain echoed throughout the prison followed by the sound and smell of searing flesh. A large “P” burned into her torso just below her petite bust. The young woman fell unconscious, dangling from the chains, her body an easy target for the clearly dishonorable inquisitors.

Renne Hakumai pushed the ship forth as she made it hover above the prison, growled as looked at her arm and then looked around. She couldn't believe that their captain had been captured, growling again she looked around. Her robotic suit soon covering her face with a helmet. The helmet giving her night vision, a heart rate reader and some heat vision. Looking at the prison she scanned the area and her ice blue eyes landed on a cell that had several people standing in it. Looking closer she saw the captains features and saw she was passed out from blood lose.

It was her fault the captain was in this state, she had turned her back for a second to stop a few attacks. But when she turned around she had been shot in the stomach causing her to kneel over, then found herself hit int he back of her head The next thing she knew she heard the captain scream and get dragged away. When she woke up she had been in the nurses office, patched up and ready to go.. so to speak.

After slipping back into her suit she instantly started tracking the captain, why had they only taken the captain? They could have taken the whole crew and got a lot more of money. Who was it that had attacked them.. She could even remember. Shaking her head she clenched her hands into fists, walking out onto the deck she looked down. With one leap she jumped of the ledge of the ship.

Crashing through the roof of the prison she turned around to see a door blocking her way, pushing the button above her ears she growled. "I'm outside, I missed the room she's in... Tell me.. how many of them drew guns from my lovely crash landing?"

White hair with a purplish tint obscured goggles lit up with data all over the place. "Renne... You landed one hundred feet from the target cell. To your left. There's a group of three in the cell still. Two armed only with torture implements. The third is the Captain. Three more will intercept. Repeating rifles and side arms. Time to arrival forty-five seconds. Utilize wreckage as cover if you can. Six more will be headed behind you. Estimated time of arrival five minutes. We caught them off guard. Deploying cover fire. The broadsides weaponry lit up, a single blue line on either side of the ship. Several beams fired from either side, their trajectories arcing sharply to raid down on the facility. She'd targeted the path that the reinforcements were on, as well as the employee barracks. It would buy them time.

"The assault group and the torture group are all you have to deal with for an estimated nine minutes. More than enough time to rescue and extract. Get to it." Her voice was nearly mechanical. Isabella Vraay, the first mate and nurse of the crew. She was loaded with piloting and physical enhancement cybernetics. It was only natural that she had a lifeless feel to most. There were few that saw her more human sides.

"All hands prepare for counter fighter and counter turret combat. Ready the extraction pod for launch and immediate return. This is hit and run. Get to it!" The ship's armaments went into a blaze of lights as they changed for a second assault. Vraay had actually far overestimated the facility's ability to handle their ship. But it was better that way. Just meant there was less risk of harm.

The unconscious pirate remained uneffected by the sudden crash, or the sudden assault from the ship. The inquisitors on the other hand nearly panicked, shouting amongst themselves about what was going on. The alarms began to sound around the prison as it's defense measures began to take actions. Not that they could get much accomplished having been caught off guard.

The various guards stationed at the prison swiftly began suiting up and preparing to intercept the intruder. Noone ever had the balls to try to break into this prison before. It was supposed to be inpregnable. This fact left the guards a little nervous about who it was they were about to go up against.

The prison warden rose from his seat, barking orders to various officers occupying different monitors. "Get me eyes on the target! Now! Have security dispatch to prison blocks B & C immediately."

"Sir, we've got a problem!"

"What now!?" The Warden roared.

"It seems they've come in force." The officer said as he pointed at a monitor showing the ship that was launching the assault. However, the image was only their for a moment before the camera was taken out by the ships various attacks.

"This is impossible! Bring that vessel down!" The warden ordered. By this time the guards were well prepared and making their way toward the point of entry.

Renne nodded as clenched her hands into fists, she turned around and soon gripped the door ripping it from the hinges tossing side. Storming into the room she let several bullets hit her not worrying about any damage. Pulling the gun from her side holster she shot the men in the shoulders and even getting one or two in the head. Walking over to the captain she ripped the shackles off and picked the girl up bridal style. Covering the captains face with a mask. "Alright, I have her. I'm going to come straight up and I need cover" She growled as she hit button on her suit, the jets on her back instantly shooting through the roof. She soon landed on the deck. "Alright nurse lady, the captain needs to me healed, she's been whipped and god knows what else" She whispered softly as she went down to the medical unit. Not caring who followed her or who bitched. "You also need to take the bullet out of my stomach, damn whipping asshole got me"

"Load the Commodore." Vraay awaited confirmation.

"It's loaded with the extraction pod, ma'am! The extraction team has come back."

"Charging Commodore. All hards prepare for take-off."

The ship split down the middle horizontally, a massive blue glow coming from within. The particles flowed inward until the was just a tiny blue glow. Not like they needed an extraction pod anymore. Renne was all the extraction pod they needed. Wonderfully tough alien she was. The Warden would hear nothing. There was no air between him and the cannon's shot. As the sudden outward burst of magnetic energy shot the pod into the prison center. It'd been loaded with enough explosive to take out an entire starship.

A single blue beam fired straight through the prison block, the area suddenly exploding with yellow-orange balls of fire from the explosives. As the prison started falling apart, the ship would be taking off.

"Head to pre-determined coordinates. Inform me if there is any pursuit."

"Aye aye!"

"And you need to take better care of yourself. You could have avoided the shots with only a loss of thirty seconds. You had plenty of time. Lay the captain down on the first table and get yourself on the second. That's an order."

She hooked herself into a robotics unit, by shoving a cord directly in behind her left ear. The bot allowed her to have more than just two arms. By controlling the thing, she administered anesthetic to both, and got all the preparations done. The captain was stable, just weakened. She'd wait.

Vraay focused her mind on extracting the bullet. She basically had to strap down Renne before digging in though. She was too much of a fighter to take to induced comas well. She dug out the slug rather quickly, and stitched up the wound, applying a gel over the wound once it was done. It would regenerate the skin faster.

The captain had to be bandaged after application of the gel to seal off the whip wounds. And an injected formula to travel the bloodstream and block off any internal bleeding.

"Renne... Take it easy for a while. Take care of the ship while I work on the Captain. She'll need time to heal."

It was dark, making it difficult for her to see. She could hear strange ripping sounds followed by the splattering sounds. As her eyes adjusted to the darkness the sounds in question became clear. Some strange beast was huddled over a corpse, tearing it to pieces. Skeith covered her mouth to hold back surprise.

The creature's gaze seemed to shift toward her as it heard movement. Looking past the creature, the bodies of her two most loyal companions. Vraay and Renne. Her eyes widened as she looked back toward the creature. It's claws scraping along the floor as it began moving rapidly in her direction. Her cries were in vane as it soon over took her.

A small shout fled from her lips as she sprung up from the operating table. She looked around quickly as her eyes began to focus. Was this... her ship..? She panted heavily as her face fell into her hands. "It was only a dream?" She whispered quietly as she looked around.

Renne snorted as she removed her armor and slipped onto the table, letting to woman talk the built from her stomach. Growling out as the woman started digging into the wound. "30 seconds is not worth losing to avoid one bullet.." She growled as she closed her eyes and relaxed, her breathing heavy as she tried to relax. "All that mattered was getting the captain out of their before they could do any more damage" She grinned as she looked at the nurse. "Beside, being the might furry that I am one bullet doesn't mean shit to me" She chuckled lightly as she licked her lips and yawned and looked back at the roof.

Looking at the woman Renne lifted any eyebrow and smiled. "Well, It's good to see the captain is awake" She chuckled lightly as she closed her eyes and relaxed. Cracking her back she soon closed her eyes and yawned. "This big kitty is going to take a nap now.. Going through a roof and door wore her out" she yawned softly before her head flopped to the side, not carrying it she was tied down or not.

"Captain!" Vraay immediately embraced the captain, holding her close. A hand stroked the captain's hair, as she began to coo lightly into her ear. "Shh... It's okay Captain. We're all here. Safe. Just a nightmare." She kissed the captain's cheek, a tiny dose of an inhaled relaxant left where she kissed, quickly evaporating where the Captain could breathe it in. She had a few different kisses, not all of them relaxing. She hadn't been treated well at all by men before joining, so she had a few kisses for self-defense.

"Now sit back down, Captain. Rest, relax. You've been through a lot. The crew's very happy to have you back. Would you wish to be brought to your chambers, captain? Unlike our dear little kitten, the medical beds may not be fully satisfying to you."

It had yet to dawn on Skeith that she wasn't clothed, that is, until Vraay embraced her. Feeling the fabric against her bare skin caused a small blush to form on her cheeks. "Vraay..? Thankyou..." She returned the hug loosely as the other kissed her cheek, breathing in the scentless inhalent.

Her muscles loosened a little as she was released. She brought an arm up to cover her breasts as she looked around the room. "Kitten..? Oh..." Her gaze shifted to the other medical bed, seeing the other sleeping. Her eyes narrowed on the stitches located on her friend's body. "I'm sorry... I was careless..." She said quietly as her gaze fell.

Despite being a powerful space pirate, Skeith was still rather young and that came with all the baggage. She was very attatched to her companions and would easily take a bullet for either of them.

Renne smiled as she saw the captain was awake, she opened one eye and smiled. She watched the two and whined "How come everyone on that side of the room gets kisses and I'm getting left out?" Renne was the oldest of the three but acted like she was five when it was just the three of them, Outside of the room she was a dark brooding woman who would take down any who got in her way. She tried to sit up and blinked and growled as the restraints held her down, soon she tried to force herself to get up the retrains starting to stretch as they held her back. Growling her eyes focused as her muscles bulged veins appearing as she tried to break the restraints. She was one to wait when the other two where sharing kisses and cuddles.

"It's Renne that's careless, Captain... You know she has no regard for her own fur in the middle of a firefight. I'm surprised it was only one bullet." She looked over her shoulder, raising an eyebrow as if to say 'get the hint' to their big furry kitten.

But then Renne started struggling against th restraints. "No... Not this time, Miss Hakumai." Last name, never a good sign. "I can't have you snapping any more restraints whenever you get a little antsy. Those are damn expensive."

"Captain, if you're feeling up to it, I think Renne would like your attention." She got Captain a medical dress and draped it over her, tying it off at the back. She had ordered ones with extra length to the sides, so they'd overlap and people weren't bare-assed while recovering in the infirmary.

Skeith nodded to Vraay when she brought her a medical robe. "Thankyou..." She said as it was tied off behind her. She slowly flipped her legs over the side of the medical bed before taking a deep breath before trying to stand. Her legs wobbled a little beneath her due to the lack of food and proper rest.

The young captain stumbled over to the furred warrior and leaned her hands against the end of the bed to stabilze herself. "I think I like you this way." She said with a small strained chuckle when she observed the restraints. She kissed the older woman's forehead tenderly. "I owe you two my life. Thankyou." She said looking back at Vraay again.

"Vraay, where are we heading? This sector isn't safe." She said as she recalled where they were. "Now they know what they're looking for, if we don't find a sector with less traffic we could be in trouble." Her voice was still soft due to the lack of food and water, but it was never the less serious.

Relaxing instantly as she saw the captain she licked her lips, smiling she closed her eyes. "You don't have to thank me, you saved my life several times I'm just trying to repay the favor" She teased softly as she looked up at Skieth and then at Vraay.

"I don't know where we are going, Vraay was in charge of where we go how fast we get there.. I was in charge of being the tank and big monstrous panther" She purred as she tilted her head back and licked the woman's chin.

Looking at Vraay she growled "You let me off this table and you let me of it no wor I will break these things. Even if it means I have to let me wild side take control and we all know that will not be a good thing with the captain being hurt and me having a hole in my belly"

Renne's wild side went back to her animal nature, she was a panther and she would hunt her prey like a panther, which was usually Vraay and Skeith. Chase the girls mate the girls keep them in bed for a couple days. The day of patherism

"We're heading to Ganymede Zero. It's an asteroid field, so we'll have to travel slowly with the magnetic shields on. But it'll give us time to lay low. Keeping ourselves in low power mode will keep them from detecting us with the magnetic interference from the asteroids and the shielding." Her voice had slipped back to it's lifeless mode as she opened up a commlink to the intercom system.

"All hands: The Captain is currently recovering in the infirmary along with Renne. She's in fine condition and will be able to take control quite soon. Nav team, remember to enter low power mode half a click before entering the field and let kinetic drift do the rest of the job of getting there. Keep a close eye out for nearby ships. And mess crew... Get three helpings of hot food up here immediately. One for the Captain and Two for Second Mate Renne. Vraay out."

She closed the comm link and turned to the women. The restraints released themselves soon after the announcement. "We need the Captain's leadership, so we can't have you do that again."

Ganymede Zero? It was risky but Skeith trusted Vraay's judgement. In many ways Vraay knew the ship better than Skeith did. The young pirate smiled when she heard the two bickering. It was one of her favorite things about being around them. Watching them bicker.

When she heard Vraay mention food her mouth almost began to water on the spot. She reclaimed her composure just in time to lose it again when the Vraay said something about Renne going berskerk 'again'. She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly as she bit her lip. It wasn't as if she ever resisted the advances made by her crew members, assuming them to be female ofcourse. She'd have to be really busy, tired, or wounded to refuse them.

She slowly turned around to face Vraay and leaned back against Renne's bed. "I think it's fair that we allow any non-essential crew to take it easy once we get into the asteroid belt. You've all earned atleast that much. The two of you especially."

Getting up Renne chuckled as she started to put her armor on "Let me get to my room to get the canons... Then I can be ready for any random asteroids that night hit the ship" She whispered softly as she finally stood completely covered in her dirty dent ridden armor. "After we get into this safe area.. I'm going to have to take the time to fix my suit.. It's on the verge of falling apart from all the things we've done lately.." She whispered as she left the room, not caring if she got yelled at for leaving while still wounded.

"Not necessary, Renne. The asteroids are heavy with copper. The Magnetic shield can repel asteroids half the size of the ship if they're 10% copper. It was designed precisely for asteroid belt travel. That's why I chose the particular field. They're far above the norm when it comes to copper and repelling strength. Plus the largest recorded asteroid is there is the size of one of the ship's engines. Much, much smaller. If anything, asteroids will be breaking each other."

She left the room and went down to mess hall to pick up the rations. As usual, they prepared the Captain's with utmost care, and even managed to get fancy with the presentation. They included a get well soon card. Handmade. Cute. For Renne, they just got as much rare meat as they possibly could on one tray, and all the side dishes on the other, piled in next to each other. Big girl, big appetite. Though sometimes even Renne couldn't finish.

She brought them down to the two ladies and set them up on the second, now unoccupied medical table. Along with plenty of napkins. "Enjoy, Captain, Renne." She smiled softly and walked out again after a small bow. She steeled herself as she made her way to the helm. She took over in the pilot's chair and plugged herself into computer. Direct-linked to the console, she could control everything in the ship. She loved the feeling. It was like having a billion more nerve clusters all over her, feeding her feeling after feeling.

The intercom went up again. "All crew at ease. I've got full control now. You deserve the break. Captain's orders. Mess should have just finished a meal for you all. Thank you, ladies." It then cut out as she slumped into the seat, her body going nearly inert as she focused on the ship. This was why she possibly knew more than the Captain. Mental links took so much modification and practice, plus the feelings being pumped into the cortex made most people nauseous.

Skeith accepted the food gratefully as she took a seat on the bed she was just occupying. She looked up to thank Vraay but the woman was already leaving the infirmary. She sighed quietly before looking down at the card left with her meal. She unfolded it in her hand as a small smile teased the corner of her lips after reading the crew's well wishes. She took a deep breath and set the card aside before she began eating her meal.

As always the crew knew how to cook one hell of a meal, made only better by the half-starved state of the young captain. 'I'll have to find a way to make it up to Vraay and Renne...' She thought. She could probably just spend the night in Renne's quarters as a way of saying thanks, but how could she repay Vraay? She'd definately think of something.

"Hey Renne? How long was I in that place anyway?" She asked quietly as she looked over at her companion. It couldn't have been more than a day or two maybe three, after all she had survived without food or water for her time spent in there.

Removing her suit renne quickly went to grabbing her food Renne sat down and started to eat, the meat sauce dropping down her chin as she thought and tapped her chin. "You were there for almost a week, We tried to get to you sooner but my suit is been having issues with moving. I'm happy that I didn't stall completely while saving you" She whispered softly as her nose twitched and tail flicked. Eating her food quickly she looked at the captain and smiled "I think we should go to the deck, Vraay has been running for days and wont sleep.. No matter who cute and cuddly I act" She chuckled softly as she licked her lips walking over to the Captain she hugged Skeith lightly nuzzling the woman's cheek. "We've missed you, a bed made for three feels pretty empty when there's only two" She whispered as she kissed the girls cheek and then kissed her lips.

The ships lights dimmed and the engines powered down. The ship was running in it's stealth mode, which meant lowering it's energy output to reduce it's signature and ability to be detected by that very signature. It also reduced their heat signature a lot. The essential electronics were still running of course, so everyone could relax and enjoy themselves. But some of the superfluous areas were locked off, like the simulation bay. The magnetic shield was at full power though. It was two layers, a wide area shield that didn't deflect, but rather charged metals, especially copper, with a positive charge. The secondary layer was a positively charged shield of dense electrons. The magnetic charges would repel each other, bounding the asteroids away.

Vraay was laid back in the reclined position. She was tied down to the seat by several restraint belts. It was a safety precaution for if she was jostled about by sudden maneuvers. She seemed to be completely asleep, but her mind was hard at work.

Skeith smiled at the sudden contact, holding the older woman close for a moment, enjoying the embrace. It hadn't been very long, but being apart from her crew in that hell felt like an eternity. "Thanks Renne. That means a lot to me." She said quietly in a gentle tone before slowly pulling away from her. "I'd better go tell Vraay to get some rest, but first, I've got to get some real clothes on." She said with a small laugh before hoping down from the table. "You should think about getting some rest too. We won't be in this safe zone for very long and I'll need everyone to be prepared for the worst."

Skeith hardened her exterior as she prepared to leave the infirmary, no matter how weak she felt or how tired she was, she couldn't allow herself to show any kind of weakness to the crew. Cracking her neck a couple of times she exhaled sharply before leaving the infirmary with her head held high, walking down the hall toward her quarters where she could find her usual attire.

"She wont rest, you know her. She will try and get you to rest... I don't need rest... I have tons of energy" She whispered softly as she quickly followed the woman. Marching like a large creature as she followed the captain, her tail slipping around the captains waist to keep her up. She couldn't help it, she wanted the woman to be safe. "I need to get working on my suit, but at the same time I'm watching over you. I promised Vraay and I don't want to upset either of you" She muttered as she rubbed the back of her neck.

Skeith nearly squeaked when the cat-like woman wrapped her tail around her waist. Although she wasn't opposed to the action, she definately needed the help to remain up right. "Thanks..." She said quietly as she began moving toward her personal quarters, located not far from the bridge as it should be.

"I'll find a way to get her to rest. Even if I have to order her to do so. I am the captain after all." She said as she waited for a small elevator to return to the floor they were on so she could reach the main level. She boarded the elevator and waited for her feline companion before telling it to move.

Once on the main floor she quickly moved for her room, avoiding conversation with as many crew members as possible. The decorated door to the captain's quarters slid open with a gentle whirring sound as she stepped inside. "Maybe I should take a quick shower before I visit the bridge." She said, thinking out loud.
