She stood on the deck of her ship, the glass casing that usually protected the open area from the atmosphere in space, more like the lack of one, had succumbed to it's hiding place. After all, it wasn't needed when there was air around. There was a light breeze on this planet, Keya couldn't help but enjoy the feel. She had been to planets that felt like they were on fire, this one was actually rather nice.

She stood at the railing that protected any visitor of the deck from a steep fall. The ship itself was large, not the biggest or anything, but it certainly wasn't small. The ship was black and had silver stripes going around the ship in the middle of it's belly. Silver wording was near the back, Falcon it spelled out. The ship was rather nice. It looked sleek on the outside, on the inside it was even better. This was Keya's ship, and she refused to let it go out of date. Her ship held the best kind of equipment one could get. Some parts were even higher than most people thought about. The wonders of the black market, and contacts in different places. On the deck there was many different barrels and crates, plenty of hiding places. There was one way into the body of the ship and that was an elevator kind of thing that was encased completely except one wall was missing and was replaced by a metal gate kind of chain that slid to the side to open, thus leading into the elevator.

There was a slight bump as the ship landed on the ground, there was a cluster of buildings near where they landed. When she heard the metal sliding behind her Keya turned around. "We have landed Captain," the man said, his back was straight and he had broad shoulders and chest, also standing tall his eyes were a light blue. Keya nodded and said, "I figured. Thank you."

She turned her back on the male. She wasn't as tall as him, standing no more than five feet eleven inches, she did stand proud. She had worked to get her own ship, and she wasn't about to not be proud about it. There weren't many female Captains that had their own ship, she refused to be stepped on by anyone, or let anyone tell her what to do. Her skin held host to a nice tan, a little darker than a normal tan, that was because of some of the planets she had been, and she loved to be outside and spent a lot of time outside. She was fit and could hold her own in a fight, had to be in her line of work.

Keya moved her hand and showed that her right hand was wrapped in white cloth, the kind that usually were put over wound to keep dirt and grime out of it. Moving her hand she pushed up her sunglasses that gave no way into her eyes. Hiding them from the world by dark glass. She didn't have a smile on her pink lush lips, they were just in a line. Her dark brown hair, bordering on black, was cut short, coming to the bottom tips of her ears and were pulled back by a black and silver bandanna.

The brown jacket she wore that came down to her hips swayed a little in the breeze, revealing a black shirt that fell in line with her curves nicely. Her black pants had numerous pouches that held all sorts of gizmos and gadgets. That was to include the utility belt that she wore around her hip that was a little askew not actually attached to her pants. There were many other pouches on the belt, and also a gun on each of her sides, totaling two. And of course she also had knifes and other weapons. Her feet were covered in heavy dark brown boots. She turned and headed towards the edge, and hit a button, a ladder appeared on the side. She moved down the ladder and when she reached the bottom a scooter appeared and she got on it, the scooter hovering over the ground and she soon took off. She had to check on something and see if it was in this town or somewhere else.

The planet in question was mostly farmland. Having been a arid planet, the Earth Alliance Foundation had sent in a bunch of willing colonists, terraforming equipment, and said "Go." And they had. Fifty years of hard work, labor, and unfortunate deaths, and the planet had gone from pure arid flats to having a wide oasis of lush, farmable land. The area was spreading nicely as more people moved in to help the effort and get to a more simple way of life. Free from the hustle of cities, and the choking fumes of industrialized areas.

Isabelle Remmington was one of the people born on the planet. Third generation, the first being the landers and colonizers. Like many families, hers owned a large open farm that grew a few crops in massive quantities. But she'd never been interested much in green and brown. She grew up loving gray and black, steel and grease. She tinkered with the farm equipment and fixed them when needed, but that was all she did on the farm. Instead, she also fixed other people's things. She'd rather fix than farm.

With all her travels, she had a healthy, trim body. A muscular structure, though not too toned, giving her smooth curves that glistened in the low golden star that lit their system. She wasn't the bustiest girl on the face of the planet, that was Mae a few farms over, but she came close. She had to keep herself properly holstered in overalls and a tight white tee-shirt. Steel-toed boots and a plain baseball cap were standard accessories.

That wasn't to say she was a country bumpkin. Schools were great on the planet. Not as good as the larger schools on older inhabited planets, but there wasn't a lack of education. So when she saw a massive ship touch down in the middle of what most would call "nowhere" she was piqued for some curious digging around.

The girl ran over to the elevator and got on it before it started going back up into the ship. Nobody else was on. She just wanted to look around inside. As she looked around, she found herself in the cargo bay, checking out so many massive crates and tarped-over objects. Her mouth was a little agape with wonder. She even looked under one of the tarps, seeing a rather large, pipe-like item of some sort. She had no idea what it was though.

Keya was only gone for a few moments. The usual greeting was given to her, stares and nervous answers to her questions. She never really liked people being all friendly with her anyway, wasn't used to it, didn't want to be. But, she didn't find what she wanted. Which kind of agitated her. "Stupid farm people, no help." She muttered. Her eyes scanning some of the land around her, it wasn't that bad, green and what not. But, she wasn't one to stay one place for too long. Plus she couldn't afford it, there were too many other people out there that would rather see her ship burst in flames.

When Keya got to her ship she went up to the deck and was greeted by the guy that had told her they had landed opening the door to the elevator on the deck. "Did we find it?" He asked curiously.

Keya sighed and shook her head, "No, it's not here. Or at least no one on this blast part knows where it is."

"Are you sure it even exists? How do we know that they didn't just send us on a wild goose chase?" He asked, his tone getting a little harsher, angrier.

Keya shot him a glare and said harshly, "I suggest you stay at your fucking post before I kick you off my ship in the middle of space." She didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Letting out a sigh she said, "It's time to take off, tell Jet to make sure everything is working."

Isabelle snooped around the part slowly, tenderly. It's main body was a pipe, about as broad as she was tall. A base for attaching to a ship was facing the ground, since it was the most flat and stable part of the mechanism. As she looked into the pipe, she got her mini-flashlight out and looked in deep. She started spotting copper coils, for an electromagnet no doubt, and copper wiring out the wazoo. Maybe it was an ancillary booster for an electromagnetic drive. But they were only good in-atmosphere because they needed to accelerate air particles through the engine itself. It was also rather long for an engine that thin. There were no flow-directing flaps on the end of the thing either.

The flashlight dropped to the ground and rolled out from under the tarp as she realized it was a mass driver. A type of cannon that took a metallic object and flung it at high speeds using magnetics. They were silent and powerful, first used in stealth weapon systems because they made little noise compared to compressed gas solid-shell weapons. It wasn't a military ship. She feared she'd gotten onto the wrong ship.

The man glared at Keya just as she was glaring at him and grunted and turned, not wanting to see if she would actually kick him off the ship in space. He actually wouldn't put it beyond her. He figured she was quite capable of that, mumbling something under his breath he headed towards the elevator and went into the body of the ship.

Something caught Keya's eye and she looked towards one of the tarps, it was...moving? Keya paused for a moment and watched and then moved silently, not making a sound even with her heavy boots. She pulled out one of her guns and in a swift motion, moved the tarp completely away from the weapon and pointed her gun at the intruder, "Who the hell are you?!" She growled to the intruder. "I don't like intruders on my ship."

Her stance didn't give away any emotion, her lips in a straight line, and since her eyes were covered by the glasses one couldn't tell if she was mad or not. All there was to go off of was the harshness of her tone.

"Waaah!" The farm raised fix-it spun around and put up her hands. Losing her balance, she tripped over and fell into the barrel of the mass driver itself. Isabelle looked around, scared as she tried to figure out what to say. Having a pistol aimed at her face was a first. As was seeing this woman. And seeing the mass driver... The inside of a ship... So on and so forth. There was enough firsts on this little trip to keep her well out of her comfort zone. It had all been more fascinating up until seeing the barrel of a smaller weapon pointed at her.

She was so stunned that when she tried to talk, she couldn't say anything. At least nothing coherent. It was a scrambled gibberish. Above all though, she just didn't want to die. Stupid cats and their curiousity. Humans didn't get the benefit of those other eight lives.

Keya farrowed her eyebrows a little agitated, her other hand moving and going on her hip, her stance getting a bit more on the edge. "Answer me!" She ordered, her voice harsh, "Before I put a whole in your head." She added in warning. When the elevator door slid open again Keya moved her hand and pulled her second gun, pointing it at the guy that had been up before. He jumped and glared, "Hey! Watch where you are pointing that thing!"

Keya didn't stop pointing her gun at him for a little, but then eventually put that gun away and then the other. "Grab her." She told the guy as she turned towards the elevator. "Take her down in the ship and hold her there." She ordered.

Nodding the guy walked over to the other and reached over to grab her arm, he also had a gun, pulling it out he said, "Follow me, Miss." He chuckled softly as Keya disappeared in the elevator before them, it going down, it would soon come back up, but Keya had to get certain things ready to take off.

She was yanked out of the mass driver rather unceremoniously. She put up no resistance to the man with the gun to her head. Looking down, she kept her hands up and followed him.

She was put in a holding cell, where she sat on the bare bench that was suspended from the wall. A hard, steel slab. She put one hand in her face, sighing softly as she tried to figure out what to say. "Hey! I just wanted to look around!" Was going to get her shot. And she was crap with lying. Any lie she made up would probably end in some horrible mix-up and get her killed too.

"I'm so screwed..."

There weren't just humans on the ship. But there weren't too many non-humans there. The news of a new comer on the ship traveled fast. The holding cell was able to have a see through door, which was what it was at the moment. People gathered around and peered in. One wasn't human, they was a goulish kind of character. They seemed to have dry skin and a sort of snout for a mouth and large floppy ears on their head, their body was thing and looked frail. "And she didn't kill them right off the bat?" He questioned what appeared to be a little boy. Though their ears were a little pointier than normal, and their eyes more like a cats. "I know, weird huh?" The little boy had a tool belt around his waist, one of the few without a weapon.

"We took off ten minutes ago, what do you think Keya will do with her?" The alien asked, tilting his head to the side. The boy shrugged, "How am I supposed to know, Burgh? I can't read Keya's mind."

"You know it's not polite to talk about someone behind their back." Keya's voice came suddenly behind them, making the two jump and then move out of her way. Keya hit a button on the wall and walked into the holding cell, walking in and crossing her arms over her chest, "Now, what the hell were you doing on my ship" She asked, still wearing the sunglasses.

She slumped down depressedly as she seemed to have been put on display for the alien races. She knew of them, so she wasn't surprised. But the way they looked at her made her self-conscious and scared. Like they would eventually kill her, simply because Keya hadn't.

Then Keya herself was in there, looking as cross as she possibly could. Isabelle just chocked a little on her words at first and decided she might as well tell it straight. "I... I saw your ship on the way home from patching up a combine... Nobody just lands out in the middle of Kerra's field. It's way too close to the Landing Memorial Gravesite. There's also too many low rolling hills. It's not an ideal landing spot. But... It's the first time I'd ever seen a space-capable ship so close... I got curious. Elevator was down. And I wound up in the cargo bay..."

Keya paused and watched the girl. She seemed so nervous, it was kind of cute. She moved and stood in front of the other, leaning down a little she moved one hand and cupped the girls chin, it was the hand that was wrapped in white bandage cloth, though only the palm was wrapped, leaving the fingers free. She leaned close, her lips only an inch away from the others, "You're cute when you are nervous." Keya said in a softer tone, her voice more like silk now. She watched the other for a moment and then pulled away, "What's your name kid?" She crossed her arms over her chest and seemed a little bit more relaxed.

She soon turned and walked towards the door, "Well, if you want to have a look around, follow me and I'll show you around. Don't think this is a free ride though, I'll find you something to do. And don't piss me off or I'll kick you off my ship."

She suddenly saw the face and the hand of the Captain, blushing lightly. To say Isabelle was nervous was more than an understatement. When she got the compliment, that only completely confused her. Lesbians happened, and it was fine if the Captain was, but it was still completely out of the blue. Did she dare say she wasn't into women? She was flustered and confused.

"Uh... I'm Isabelle... Remmington..."

When the captain invited her to walk with her, she couldn't exactly refuse. That might piss her off. Pissed off equaled off the ship. And they weren't on the ground. "Y-y-yes ma'am..." She said timidly and stood up. She'd gotten in waaay over her head.

Keya looked over her shoulder at the other, "Isabelle," she said, her tone still soft and smooth. She liked the name. She walked out of the room completely and down the hall. When they came to an opening of a large room there were many people, most of them just lounging around, a bunch were playing cards in a corner. "This is the lounge." Keya said simply. Her gaze went over the faces of the ones in the room, most of which were now looking at them.

"What you into?" Keya asked, "What are you good at, any talents?" She wanted to find a job for the girl so she wasn't just bumming a ride or anything. If Keya found that the girl wasn't useful then she would just ditch her somewhere. But then again, Keya could think of a few things to use the girl for. She examined the girl out of the corner of her eye.

Isabelle walked slightly behind the woman, having to notice the sway she had to her hips. Isabelle herself had next to no sway, since her footsteps were wider for stability while working as a child. It was a boyish trait. "I... I fixed machinery back home. Mostly farm equipment. T-That's not exactly all of what you've got in here. Um... I guess I can tend an oxygen farm... Clean... Something..." She shrugged nervously. She really didn't have any talents she could think of that the Captain didn't already have covered. She had a feeling she was going to be finding out what re-entry was like.

She paused and thought about it for a moment and then said, "We will see if Jet can find anything for you to do. He's our mechanics specialist and if nothing else he will teach you the generic maintenance things." She continued walking around the lounge and through a pair of sliding doors that opened into a long hallway that was lined with rooms, "These are the room quarters, after the next stop you can have your pick on a room that isn't taken."

She continued down the hall until it turned into a T, able to go to the right or the left. There was a door on the wall that would continue the hallway but it didn't open automatically. Keya motioned to the left and said, "More rooms are down there," before turning to the right and walking, the hallway opening up to a larger room, with tables and what looked like a bar but it was set up as a cafeteria, "You can probably guess what this is."

"Y-Yes ma'am..." She was taking careful not of where everything was, but she kept her head down. Her hands wringed against each other harshly as she took slow, deep breaths, scared of her new employer, but not wanting to get her mad. That was the whole of it really. One slip-up, and she was dead. As they got into the cafeteria, she said nothing, but merely nodded.

Pausing for a moment Keya looked over her shoulder and saw the other just nod. She continued towards the wall where a door was, but when she got to it she turned and grabbed the others arm, pulling her close to her, wrapping her arm around the others waist, her lips near Isabelle's, she moved and placed her lips right by the girl's ear, "Not excited with my ship?" She asked softly, her voice as smooth as silk.

"Aaah!" She gasped when she was whipped around and grasped. The woman's hot breath on her ear made her blush deeply. "I... It's not that M-Ma'am... P-Please don't be mad! I d-don't want to be killed..."
