Oh, all the time. I have specific characters I use for similar settings and plots. One Angel character, one Elf character, one Human character, etc.. It makes it super simple when I'm involved in a couple roleplays at the same time. Last thing I want is to confuse my partner by describing a whole different character. Plenty of my characters could have belonged to the same original world, however none of them would have interacted in some way or another, probably. It's an interesting idea, though.
Interesting! I tend to reuse names by try to keep characters fresh, I can understand why it would be easier to have ones are the ready, however! I've actually been pondering over the idea of putting in the work to create one original world that I set all of my fantasy roleplays in, and then to let different roleplays with different partners build up the rules/areas and characters of the world even if my partners never directly interacted. Seemed an interesting enough concept. Even as a guy I've considered selling feet pics or such online, there's good money in it I say!
