The first thing he knew was the ringing of his phone, he could hear it dimly through the haze and fog of waking up. "Nat...I love you..." The words were mumbled, no doubt coming from the dream as he had left her there to wake up, slowly coming to his senses and feeling the warm body pressed against him, the finger tapping his chest, hearing her voice behind the sound of his phone. He opened his eyes slowly to find himself looking down at her lavender hair, she was between him and the back of the sofa, so close, his arms were around her, hand on her hip. "Nat? What...oh, oh I remember...sorry..." He didn't know what to say, he could remember what he had said as he was waking but that...well she was his sister, she would probably take it like that and not the way it had been meant. Slowly he pulled back away from her to give her some space, sliding back off the sofa and standing, stretching before reaching for his phone.
Looking at it he frowned, pausing and looking down at his little sister before he answered. "Christie, hi...yeah, one moment." Looking down at her again he covered the mouthpiece. "i'm just gonna take this in the kitchen while you wake....sorry for trapping you, you fell asleep and were so peaceful I didn't want to risk waking you." He smiled at her sadly as turned to leave, bringing the phone back up to his ear. "Yeah, I'm here, sorry about that, caught me sleeping. Haha, yeah, we are still on for tonight, I'm looking forward to it!" He had managed to muster at least a little excitement in his voice as he walked away talking, though it wasn't nearly as much as there had been for the simple shopping trip with his little sister. "Ooooh, is that how it is? Okay, okay, I will be sure to deal with you if you behave like that, missy. Yes, eight pm, I'll pick you up." He hung up, knowing he had been a little loud but trying to somehow throw himself into the possible relationship to forget his feelings for his sister would do that, and he sighed as he looked down at his phone. Was that all Christie was going to be, a distraction? It didn't seem fair to her. Pocketing it, he walked back towards the front room. "I have my date tonight, I forgot about that...will you be okay on your own princess? How is your lip?"
