The day before had seemed so surreal. Amethyst did not know why, but Layfen was being so very kind to her. She did not understand. She was used to the men of the house being cruel to her and using her for their own purposes, nothing else. Although, luckily, with Relic being here, that issue had been calmed. Only once or twice in the past months had she been taken advantage of by her Master. She was glad for that. She did not like what he did to her, but she knew that there was no chance that anything she could ever do would get him to stop. She was his, and he had told her that from the very first time that they met. He told her that she would listen to him and only him, and that was how it always has been. She was used to everything by now. She became accustomed to how Auren treated her and did not think twice about anything that happened to her. At least, until Layfen came. When he had, everything turned upside down. He treated her kindly and spent most of the day just ... with her. Eventually, she had to do her chores and he actually stayed with her, helped her sometimes, and she was shocked but somehow ... she was happy. There was some sensation that she could not pinpoint, and she did not hate the feeling either, but definitely it was different.

The night before, before they went to bed, Layfen told her that he wanted her to deliver breakfast in bed to him, and she really could not deny him for numerous reasons. So, she was already up and about well before dawn hit. She made some muffins and pancakes and made sure Relic got up. He was a heavy sleeper sometimes, and it seems that he tired out Master Auren last night, so he was tired as well. She asked him nicely if he would give their master his breakfast, and he was all too happy to. That and he teased her something about her and Master Layfen being close as well. She could only blush and continued to poke at the pancakes she was creating. She was so, so nervous and she did not know why. This was just breakfast, right? Was she worried that he would turn out like Master Auren? Yes, that must be it. That was why there were butterflies in her stomach. She did not want Master Auren to get mad, and she did not want Master Layfen to do what her other master did to her. Yet, even as she thought o that, the butterflies increased but they were a different kind of nervous and she was more tingly than anything else. Oh, her world was turned upside down.

With the pancakes, muffin, orange juice, and some milk, as well as syrup, butter, and some fruit, all upon a tray, she headed her way up the stairs to where the manâ??s room was. She was in front of it for a while, soon taking in a huge breath and her eyes slipped closed. She felt a blush coming to her cheeks and she did not know why. Her knuckles rapped against the door for a moment before she slowly opened the door and slid into the room and peaked her head inside. â??Uhm . . . Master Layfen?â? she questioned, her voice soft as ever and a little cautious. She looked around, trying to see where the man was, the tray against her torso as she did so.

Between the journey back home and the day spent tailing the pretty little slave girl, watching her go about her daily tasks and sometimes even helping her, Layfen had quite worn himself out by nightfall. It had been worth it, of course, and the man had gone to bed with a smile on his face and butterflies in his stomach. He thought he was aware of what this odd feeling was that ran through him - the warmth, the slight nervousness, the sudden urge to want to see her as soon as possible; the older master had felt that sort of thing before. He fancied her, simple as. And who wouldn't? Amethyst was absolutely precious, her beauty made all the more radiant by the innocence that she practically glowed with. Any male would've happily chased her with his tongue lolling out. What he couldn't figure out was why she had made him feel different from any other girl he'd had his eye on in the past? Every time he'd been around her, had heard her voice, or even as he had laid in bed thinking of the sweet girl, the feelings that came over him were far more intense than any other time before. Strange. A good time before he'd finally succumbed to sleep, Layfen had ran all sorts of reasons as to why that had been, but not one of them seemed quite right or exactly covered it. He'd fallen into a deep sleep, happy and confused, and dreamt syrupy dreams that randomly featured her brother's slave every so often.

It hadn't been the sound of her knocking that had awoken him, but the soft creaking of the bedroom door being pushed open. Groaning sleepily, Layfen frowned to himself and reluctantly opened his eyes, glad of the thick curtains cloaking the harsh sun from his blurry gaze. A hand pushed away at strands of black hair that had fallen over his face during the night and groggily he sat himself up in his large bed - perhaps a bit too large considering only one person used it. It took him a good few seconds to notice the smell of a delicious breakfast in his room, and even longer to notice that Amethyst had kept her word and had brought it for him. A faint blush coloured his pale cheeks when it finally dawned on him that she was there; having her bring him breakfast in bed had seemed like a good idea last night when his mind was craving him to come up with any excuse to spend more time with her the next day, but now when he could only imagine the state of him did reality come to him and he knew it hadn't been the best of plans. How could he ever impress anyone with his hair sticking up at odd ends and tangled, and his eyes bleary? Not to mention the master slept naked. Stupid idea.

He still smiled at her, however, and beckoned her closer to the bed with an elegant wave of a hand. "Good morning, Amethyst. Thank you for bringing me my breakfast." He said, doing his best to sound calm, when all the while his insides writhed excitedly at how beautiful she looked. "It smells lovely. Did you cook it all yourself?"

Amethyst was worried. Would Layfen be a morning person? Would he be too much of a morning person? She was concerned and did not know what to expect. She hoped that he would still be the sweet man she had spent the day with yesterday, but she had her doubts. Auren kept flashing within her mind while she watched the groggy form of the ravenette slowly come to life. Her eye staying to him and she slowly took another step into the room, the door closing behind her. She did not say anything else. Maybe he did not want to be spoken to in the mornings. She chewed her bottom lip, the tray pressing against the form-fitting dress she wore for the morning. Auren would always give her such nice things. She was grateful for them. She did not like why she had the new clothes, but she did not mind completely. Auren was selfish in his needs, but he was fairly nice sometimes to her.

Hearing him speak to her, she relaxed. Phew, he did not seem upset. She smiled warmly, walking into the room a little more. She headed over to where he was beckoning her to. She continued to hold the tray against her toned torso, she learned that she had to wait until told what to do with someoneâ??s breakfast before she did anything else. She smiled softly to him. â??Good morning.â? She said gently, looking him over and then blushing faintly. He slept in the buff? She was used to nudity by now, but for some reason, knowing that Layfen was nude beneath the sheets made her blush even more. She soon looked back to him and nodded. â??Yes. I actually enjoy cooking.â? She giggled softly, her lavender eyes sparkling. She had used cooking as her own little haven way back before she just accepted what Auren did to her. The kitchen was her savior. She would bake and bake until the other maids eventually told her to stop before they gained fifty pounds. She just liked to cook. It relaxed her.

Straightening her back a little more, she was not sure where he would want the tray. She was worried that the food would get cold though. â??Uhm ... Do you need anything else?â? She asked, glancing to the food in fornt of her.

It hardly surprised Layfen just how obedient Amethyst was. He wasn't ignorant to the ways in which his younger brother treated his slaves, what he liked to do to them and how he liked to - to put it nicely - correct their behaviour. Sickening, really sickening, and it wasn't something he ever agreed on, but no amount of arguing with Auren ever had him change his mind or even go easy on the poor girls and boys he bought from those disgusting slave markets. And, despite his flaws, Layfen still loved his little brother and had never wanted to fall out with him over something like the subjects of slavery. Well, not until now, perhaps. The number of obedient slaves he'd come across whenever visiting the family manor had been somewhat startling, but their treatment had elicited nothing more than a disapproving roll of the eyes or shake of the head. Amethyst, on the other hand, was likely to elicit something far more from him. He'd only known of her existence for a day, yet already he was secretly vowing to himself that if he so much as heard a whisper that Auren had done something unpleasant to her, some sort of sibling war was going to be declared. There was something special about her. Something...vulnerable, perhaps? He couldn't help but get the feeling that she had experienced far too much pain and hardship for someone so young. Someone needed to put a permanent smile on that pretty face - the idea that it could be him had his stomach knotting nervously.

His hands patted and smoothed the quilts all around him and he straightened his legs, signalling that he wished for the tray to be placed on the bed. The breakfast she had prepared looked so tasty and well-made; it would've been a shame to let it go cold and have it go to waste. It also eased him a little knowing that she had enjoyed cooking. It hadn't occurred to him the previous night that he may have been asking her to wake up early just to make him a meal.

"Yes, there is something else actually..." Layfen cleared his throat, feeling an awkward shyness overcome him. His words had been spoken hastily with no clear idea of what that something else was exactly. Biting his bottom lip, his mismatched eyes glanced from the tray in Amethyst's hands, up to the girl herself and then down onto his bed; all the while his mind wirring fiercely to try and piece some excuse to have her stay in his company for a little longer. His gaze fell on the tray again and suddenly he gave a smile. "Have you eaten yet? It's just that, well, there's quite a bit too much for me on the plate and I was wondering perhaps you would like to share it with me? Have your breakfast here, if you'd like."

Amethyst glanced over to the bed, seeing him flattening out the sheets and everything. She nodded a bit, taking the tray and leaning over his form a little, placing the tray down where he had signaled and she straightened up once more. Her arms folded over her lower torso and she perked up. There was something else? She watched him, feeling her heart fall to the bottom of her stomach. She had thought he would be different. Thought he was not like his brother, but the constant glance from her to the bed was beginning to disappoint her. She chewed her bottom lip, her cheeks tinting all the more. The idea passed her mind that he may want what Auren typically had of her, yet she did not hate the idea when she realized that he would be the one this time, not his brother.

Quickly, she shook the thought from her head, literally. Eyes closed and soon, she perked up. He was inviting her to eat with him? She lifted her eyes to look up at him and a warm smile traced her lips. She nodded and then moved over to the other side of his bed. Gently, she placed her form at the edge and then pulled her knees to her chest. She had not eaten yet. She had intended to go back down to the kitchen and pick at the leftovers from what she made for him, but now she was invited to eat with him, and she did not want to deny him. Quite the opposite actually. She was ecstatic he offered for her to join him. She still did not want to take the food before he did. The food was made for him, so she would wait until he ate most of the food before even thinking to take a bite â?? no matter how loud her stomach was currently growling.

â??Uhm... Thank you for helping me yesterday.â? She said softly, her eyes keeping to the bed beside her while she toyed with the bottom of her dress.

"Not a problem, dear girl. It was quite fun!" Layfen smiled at her. Yes, sad to say, he had found helping with some of her chores fun. Why? Well, simply because he'd never really done any housework before in his life, having been waited on hand and foot by servants since he was a baby. The whole idea of tidying up, taking pride in what one owned enough to want to keep it as clean as possible, was all rather novel to him. Of course, it had helped a great deal to have a captivating partner to help pass the time with. Daily chores was not something he was about to partake in every day - the man was a Lord, and an heir to a lot of wealth and estates; he hadn't been brought up to clean and cook and take care of things - but, maybe one day soon, he'd accompany Amethyst on her tasks again and try helping her with something else. Picking up the cutlery, he began to cut up a pancake and popped a piece into his mouth, moaning quietly to himself at the delightful taste. Somewhere in the back of his mind he made a mental note to ask her for breakfast again; the girl had a culinary talent!

A few more forkfuls were stuffed into his mouth, eager to kill away the hunger pains that had gripped him the moment he'd caught a whiff of the food, though unlike Auren, he constantly made sure he ate in a gentlemanly fashion and kept insisting in a friendly way for Amethyst to help herself to whatever she wanted from the plate. Every so often, his attention was distracted by her playing with the hem of her dress and shivers shot down his spine everytime he watched her do it, eyes lingering far too long on her legs. With some effort, he pried his gaze away from her and resisted any urge, however small, to reach out and touch her. Unfortunately, "hot blood" ran in the family; silently, Layfen thanked the fact that he had learnt to control himself. But, that still didn't stop him from being any less playful. Just as he had realised her playing with her dress, he'd also realised that she was sat on the edge of the bed. She suddenly felt like his own slave to him in that position. And that wouldn't do. Putting down the knife and fork, he laughed to himself and stretched out his arms, hooking his hold around her hips in as soft a way as he could. The last thing he wanted was to scare her.

"You're too far. Come sit where it's more comfortable." He chuckled and pulled her closer to him, further to the centre of the bed, and he tried to ignore how wonderful she felt in his arms.

He had fun doing her chores with her? Well, that was something new to her. She had not met any master who enjoyed doing what their slaves did. She smiled though, nodding lightly with lack of what she should say. She silently kept her eyes to the area in front of her, briefly glancing to him a few times while he ate. He had such a grace to him when he did eat. She found it quite fascinating, and a little refreshing. She would randomly pick up a piece of fruit, or break off a bit of toast and eat them, mainly when he was not looking. She never felt comfortable when anyone watched her eat. Though, that was the conditioning she wound up going through with someone before Master Auren. That man was horrible. He had sat there and stared at Amethyst whenever she would eat, making sure that she ate what he wanted and all in all, that was not a nice experience for the woman. She did not like that man. Compared to the others, Master Auren was so much better, yet worse in some ways. That man before him had been watching what she was eating so that she could get thin for his â??needsâ?. She knew what that meant, and she was glad that someone wound up killing him to let her be free of him. At least Master Auren was attractive and while maybe not the most gentle, he left her to be when she was not needed by him.

Amethyst had just taken up a grape from the bowl, eating it silently, when she felt an arm around her form. A soft gasp pulled into her lungs as she was pulled onto the bed a bit more; heart pounding, racing to get out of her chest as she stared up at the man behind her. She was too far? She blushed faintly, nodding with a gentle, â??Sorry, sir.â? She brushed down the end of her dress, being sure that she did not show anything that did not need to be seen. She was sure that she did not lean against him, no matter how tempted she was. She suddenly had the urge to curl up against him and let the tears that have been bottled up for years flow. She did not know what it was about him, but he brought that urge out in her. She knew that was horrible. He was one of her Masters, she should not think such things like that. Yet, she truly was comfortable with him. She wanted nothing more than to just cuddle up beside him and sleep. She quickly pushed the thoughts aside and went back to toying with the bottom of her dress.

â??Is the food okay, Master Layfen?â? She asked, her eyes looking over the food she had prepared, being sure everything was as she wanted them to be. That and if she looked at him, she would melt all the more.

"The food is perfect, my dear." Layfen said with a nod, quickly nipping into a bit of toast. One arm was still resting around Amethyst's small waist. Firstly, it had been quite unintentional and he hadn't noticed that he was still holding her; it had felt that comfortable and natural to him. But when he had realised what he was doing, he couldn't bring himself to pull away from her. All he could do was blush faintly and secretly take small innocent pleasures in the feel of her body and the warmth she bathed his naked arm in. If she felt too uncomfortable about it, then she could simply tell him - if, of course, she thought she could. She was a slave, at the end of the day. And if she did say anything, or give some sort of silent hint, then he'd remove his arm from around her waist and just pretend he'd forgotten he still had a hold on her. Though inwardly, he hoped against hope that she wouldn't mention it. That, and that she would grow comfortable enough around him to scoot a little closer. Though, in hindsight, the man decided her getting closer wasn't a good idea. Having a beautiful young girl snuggling up to his body whilst casually sitting beside him in bed...well, even a gentleman such as Layfen would've found that temptation hard to resist. Amethyst didn't need another man forcing himself upon her.

Once again, his eyes were drawn to the ends of her dress and he kept his gaze upon it, watching her playing about with it as if mesmerised. His head tilted slightly to one side and, once he'd swallowed the toast in his mouth, asked softly, "Is that a nervous thing you do? Play with your clothes?"

---

In the adjacent room, the younger brother stirred in his own large bed. The activities of the previous night, naturally and largely involving a certain male servant, had sent Auren into such a deep sleep that he had actually overslept. For once, the white-haired Lord wasn't complaining. He had been glad of the extra few hours in bed, letting his body and energies recover - not only last night, but the past few weeks since he'd bought Relic, he'd felt himself exhausted by the slave, mostly mentally. It had been difficult, and at times impossible, much to his disdain, to stop thinking of the blond and to not let his defences drop whenever he was given so much as an inch of consideration. Well, one could hardly blame the man. Auren had never encountered anyone so willing before, someone who wanted to touch him and pay him the most intimate of attentions. It was different, it was nice. But it was also infuriating. The amount of times Auren had shown sheer submission to his own slave was humiliating to think about, made all the worse because he knew that rumours - okay, truths - were circulating around the manor's staff about the nightly goings-on of their master and Relic and that it was the slave that was often taking what he wanted from Auren's body and not the other way around, as it usually seemed to be.

Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he untangled himself from his silken sheets and padded over to the corner of his large, darkened room where the rope of the servant's bell hung. He gave it a sharp few tugs, the sound of the bell's ringing echoing distantly underneath him in the lower floors, and sat himself on the edge of his bed, fingers busily working on sorting out his long hair. Unaware that Amethyst was in the room next door, he waited in the hopes that she would knock on his door and peek her pretty head in. Auren was still quite groggy. He wasn't exactly strong enough to fight off any morning advances from Relic. And even though he didn't know of the girl's presence, he certainly knew that Layfen was there; the very last thing he wanted was for his brother to overhear his ecstatic moans and loud begging for more.

Amethyst smiled. Good. He liked the food, and that was very reassuring for her. She was so worried he would not like what she made. For some reason, she wanted his approval. She still did not know why she felt how she did, but she did. She wanted to be sure that he liked everything she did. She could not grasp why. She did not know why she wanted him to be happy with what she did for him, and she did not know why she had these weird butterflies in her stomach whenever he was near, but she actually wound up liking the bubbling feelings within her. Like now, she actually liked his arm around her. She knew it was improper for her to feel such a thing toward him. He was a master, and even if he did not like her calling him that â?? no matter how hard the habit would be to break â?? she could not deny that he would inherit the house. He would inherit everything of the house, and that included her as well. While Auren bought her, she belonged to the house. She believed. She could easily be wrong, but she did not wish to think about that.

After being stiff for so long within his embrace, her form slowly leant back and against him in a wary way. First, a little bit of her weight rested upon him, testing the waters one may say. She waited to feel any protest, his arm pushing her away, something to tell her to go away. When he did not do anything, she relaxed against his chest even more. She felt so comfortable in his arms. She badly wanted to curl up beside him, no matter his nudity, and fall asleep. She was so deprived of sleep. She needed a day to catch up, but she was a mere slave. She would not get one of those any time soon. For the moment, she would answer his question about her clothing. She glanced to her fingers as they continued to toy the fabric, slowly pressing out the end of her dress and resting her hands upon her knees. â??Um ... I do not realize I do that. I suppose it is a nervous habit.â? She stated, turning her eyes briefly to look at him before a faint pink hued her cheeks and she pushed her form up from his chest once more, sitting straight beside him.

--

With the bell ringing in his ears, Relic perked up, groggily staring at the wall and he grinned. His Master was calling? Was he up for another round? Oh, he would love to play some more. He chuckled a bit, hopping out of bed with his pants and shirt quickly being pulled on. He was so happy to be called by his master. He realized eventually, his actions would get him hurt. He knew the inevitable would come when his Master would take out his anger on him, but he did not care. He would have fun until that day. Besides, Auren seemed to enjoy himself a lot whenever he took control. If he wanted to keep the top, then he should have been a better lover. Simple as that. Relic let a lover stay on top if they were good, and while Auren was okay, he was not one that would get Relic to gladly submit to him. He took his control and well, his master seemed to enjoy himself, so what was the issue? Aside for the master-slave confusion roles, or something along those lines. No matter.

Hopping up the stairs, he giggled as he stopped at the door to Aurenâ??s room, glancing over to the door beside it, glancing over the wood. Hmm ... Was that that Layfenâ??s room? He tapped upon his bottom lip, thinking silently. He would have to pop by after playing with his little toy. Giggling once more, he opened the door and bounced into the room, hip bumping the door closed as he spotted the other. â??Good morning, Master Auren.â? He said cheerfully, giving a simple bow to at least show some bit of respect, or something close to that. He walked over to the closet, going around and he pulled out a few items, holding them out to the other and soon walking toward him, placing the items on the bed and he already got to work. Taking off the shirt he put on the man the night before and then pulled down his pants, arching a brow before a devious smirk pulled to his lips. His eyes lifted up to the other and he toyed with the man for a bit. Trailing his fingers down the insides of his thighs and he soon wrapped his lips around the otherâ??s member, plotting something already. Just a quick little romp around. That was all he wanted, nothing too drastic to cause too much trouble.

A small sigh had passed his lips when he'd felt Amethyst slowly relax against him and the butterflies worsened in his stomach at the feel of her soft skin against his. Her sweet scent overwhelmed his senses, relaxing him almost to the state of wanting to fall asleep beside her, despite the fact that, unlike her, he wasn't tired in the least. His grip on her had tightened somewhat as she rested on him, fingers delicately tracing over her hip in a part-absent minded manner. Yes, he was semi-aware of what he'd done, but the continuation of it had been purely mindless, and it wasn't until she'd straightened up again did he realise that perhaps his ministrations, however innocent it may have been, was unwanted. Layfen bit his bottom lip and felt a blush rush to his cheeks, staining the pale skin a deep pink. His arm snaked away from her waist. "What's the matter? Are you alright?"

He could've kicked himself, he really could. If it hadn't been his over-friendliness, then he was certain it had been his questions. It was as if he'd forgotten all the little etiquettes of being a gentleman that he had been taught all those years ago. Stupid man. Sometimes tongues were best kept behind tightly-shut teeth.

--

The moment Relic had entered, Auren's expression had darkened considerably and his hands fell down to his sides. Great, not the person he wanted. About to yell for him to leave immediately and find Amethyst, he thought better of it at the bow he was given and swallowed down his reprimand. His fingers curled irritably into the bed beneath him. So long as Relic kept to himself and continued with the obedient act, then everything was going to be fine. He constantly kept his eyes on the blond as he went to the closet and began fishing out clothes for the master to wear, nodding when he approved of the items that were taken out and left on the bed for him. About to stand up for his dressing, he barely got the chance to lift himself so much as an inch before he was stripped of his shirt and his trousers were tugged down. Auren rolled his eyes, but remained quiet, not wanting to spitefully point out to Relic to be a little more careful when handling his clothing. They were incredibly expensive, after all. But to snap might've provoked the other to retort with some cheeky reply and he wasn't in the mood to deal with that. He'd made up his mind to get on with the task as silently as possible. That plan had gone straight out of the window the moment he noticed the look in Relic's eyes. Auren's lips parted, about ready to tell the blond off, but all that left him was a soft gasp as he felt fingers run down his inner thighs.

Badly suppressing a shiver, he immediately shut his mouth; his fingertips digging harder still into the sheets and his toes curling as a wave of pleasure washed over him. He knew this would happen - that he'd be far too weak to fight away Relic. Damn mornings. The man took a deep breath to steady himself and willed himself to press a hand to the other's shoulder to push him away. But that was as far as he got. Whatever tiny defence he had, crumbling though it was, broke down completely as he felt Relic's mouth take his member; the hot, wet sensation arousing his newly-woken body. His hips softly jerked forward, legs parting wider instinctively, and the hand to Relic's shoulder gripped the young man. It was sending out the wrong signals as always; Auren was clearly betraying how he truly felt, how much he really wanted the blond. Unfortunately, it was sometimes easier to just go with the flow and not put up some losing battle against what his body craved for. "Relic, s-stop..." He moaned quietly, eyes slipping shut.

Amethyst blushed even more. She shook her head a little, leaning her form forward and resting her chest upon her knees, her eyes slipped closed as she did so. â??No ... I had not realized I was leaning against you. I am sorry, Master Layfen.â? She said, her nerves apparently showing as she fidgeted even more with her skirt and rubbed her leg, trying to distract her thoughts. She did not want to be punished by him. She would hate that idea. He had said he was different. Her mind kept coming back to that thought. Tried to reassure her that he truly was not like anyone else, but she had heard that a few times before. Masters telling her that they would not be as cruel as others, just to get her a bit more willing. By now, her mind was broken, in a sense. She was defeated. By the time that Auren had gotten her, she was pretty much obedient, no matter what he would do. She protested his sexual actions at first, but soon, that was taken from her as well. There was not much else left for her â?? sad as that realization was.

Taking in a deep breath, she slid off the bed, brushing down the front of her dress and she straightened all the more. â??I... I should be going. I am sure Master Auren will need me soon.â? She said softly, despite knowing that Relic would have already taken any responsibility about the other demon. She was so happy for him. He took over anything she did not like to do, and she was so thankful to have him there to assist her. He calmed the man away from her, and she was glad for that. She had not really gotten much of a look from Auren, other than one of fatigue. Relic was definitely running him ragged. She was about to say something else, lips parted and a breath pulled into her lungs, but the moan from next door instantly made her freeze. Her eyes went wide and her hand lifted to her lips. Relic was awake, and apparently, so was Master Auren.

---

Relic easily had gotten the man to submit to him. Auren was so pleasant when he was moaning out his name, telling him to stop despite his body screaming to continue. The man was horrible, and he knew it. He really should care more about the manâ??s wellbeing, but he did not care anything about that with Amethyst. So, maybe he was taking a bit of revenge for his new friend. He would be the first to admit â?? that had been a motive. He had loved the idea of pleasing him to the point of no return. Auren was so cute and Relic completely loved hearing him moan out his name and submit to him so easily. Oh, Relic was a sadistic little blonde when he wanted to be. Like when dealing with Auren. The man deserved to be dominated beyond his will every once in a while. It would build character, and maybe make him stop abusing Amethyst. Relic hoped that would be the case. That and that the new fellow, Layfen, would take her away from here. He had seen the look in that manâ??s eyes, and he hoped his new found friend would be happy. She very much deserved to be so.
