Luna ran her hand along her winged horses mane, waiting for the rest of the Valkyries to suit up and prepare for scouting. Perhaps it was just her, but it seemed like this job was getting a little old for her. Ragnarok was a long time away and going scouting every time a battle presented itself seemed like a waste of time. However, grabbing dead men and sweeping them off their feet was the best part, especially if the man was handsome.

â??We ride!â? The leader of their battalion shouted. Hildr, their leader was the most beautiful out of all of them, even Luna herself. Luna had a few flaws and the main one was being so young. Odin had saved her from Fenrir, a terrible monster that had been birthed by Loki himself. Loki had apoligized to her, but she knew he hadnâ??t meant it by the look in his twisted grey eyes. Hildr was perfect from head to toe. A flawless face free of any wrinkles, gorgeous sapphire eyes that could look into any mans soul and leave them speachless, golden locks that reached the small of her back..breasts that could feed an entire room of warriors in Valhalla and wide hips that were perfect for birthing. She had the perfect hourglass shape as well. A shape that most of them died for.

Hildr had always told Luna she would grow into her height, but Luna never believed so. She had the shape of an ironing board at the moment, and her breasts werenâ??t even close to the size of Hildrâ??s or any of the other girls who were in her battalion. She was often made fun of by the other Valkyries, but she paid them no mind. Fortanately, the humans didnâ??t mind her lack of shape or breasts. They thought she was beautiful anyway because of other qualities that normal human women didnâ??t have.

She pulled herself on her white horse, now mounted along with her comrades. They decended down upon a great battle which had ended moments before their arrival. Luna searched the grounds diligently, allowing her instincts to lead her to a great warrior. Her eyes allowed her to witness events in the past with each human she looked at so she could witness his bravery or cowardice. When she finally found a man, she landed beside him and reached out to him. He had been laying down, waiting for someone to escort him to Helheim, or whatever evil world he was suppose to go to. But here this beautiful woman was, reaching out to him on a white winged horse.

â??Come with me to Valhalla, warrior.â? Luna said with a smile. The warrrior nodded in a dumbfounded way and too her hand.

It had been another hard day, but Luna had finally finished her work. Luckily she didnâ??t have kitchen duty or cleaning duty. It appeared Odin had taken a liking to her, and so she had always gotten out of doing anything that might exhaust her. This was another reason why she was shunned, but she had learned not to mind it. Being in Valhalla, there was always someone interesting to talk to, and during the day, there were always fights to watch.

â??You look lost little girl.â? She froze when she heard the voice that was behind her. It was a deep but attractive voice. One that she could never forget.

â??Hello, Loki. Iâ??m not lost, and Iâ??m not a little girl.â? Luna replied.

â??You arenâ??t a woman though. Youâ??re still developing, girl.â? Loki grinned, and his expression was filled with mischief. He had grown bored, and taking advantage of Odinâ??s pet would be fun. Luna began to walk down the endless hall again, though if she truly wanted to she could just teleport to whatever room she thought of, however she had no where to be. Loki followed. â??Are you upset?â?

â??Iâ??m not going to acknowledge someone who doesnâ??t even know my name.â? Luna replied.

â??Oh, but I do. Youâ??re Luna and my son almost killed you.â?

â??You know, Iâ??m not sure how that works. How did you give birth to a monster like that?â?

â??I shape shifted. Havenâ??t you ever heard of that kind of power, my dear Luna?â?

â??Yeah. Itâ??s a tricksters power.â? Loki snickered and Luna stopped and turned around. Loki was just as handsome as she remembered. Long black hair that was pulled into a taught ponytail, a build that wasnâ??t too muscular but strong, and bangs that nearly covered his gray eyes. He was nearly a half foot taller than her. Roughly six seven.

â??Do you want to leave this wretched place and go to Asgard?â?

â??Where is youâ??re wife, Loki?â?

â??My wife? I donâ??t know. But I was asking you.â?

â??You know Odin doesnâ??t want me to go to Asgard unless he is with me.â?

â??Do you always do what youâ??re told to little girl?â? Luna glared at Loki who looked down at her with laughing eyes. She folded her arms.

â??No. But I donâ??t want to go with you.â? She simply said.

â??Aw, come on dear. Nothing says that youâ??re better than the other Valkyries then spending time with a God of Fire. Come on. Letâ??s go. Perhaps I know someone who could help you with youâ??re little problem of developing, girl.â? Luna was getting to the point of flinching every time she heard that word escape Lokiâ??s mouth.

â??You..youâ??re trying to trick me. What do you want?â? Luna demanded.

â??I just want to make up for that little incident my son caused.â? He grinned. Luna was still so innocent that she would probably believe him despite Odins word.

â??Youâ?¦promise?â? She asked him, narrowing her eyes. Loki simply smiled at her and nodded. â??Odin will be mad.â? She said quietly. His expression did not change. She sighed and then nodded. â??Okay..Lets go to Asgard.â?

Re: In the depths of Valhalla

It was a great accomplishment that Loki had gotten Luna to leave Valhalla. He originally thought she was smarter than that and she wouldnâ??t fall for his empty promises. However, here she was beside him, crossing the bridge that led to Asgard. She hadnâ??t spoken a word to him since they had left. In truth, she wasnâ??t all that bad looking. Her innocence actually drew Loki to her. The sweet look to her violet eyes and her soft nearly baby fine long hair that draped around her shoulders and acted like a curtain over half her face. She would grow into a beautiful woman. Beauty that could match a goddess.

All the more reason for Loki to play with Odinâ??s pet. Luna looked up at Loki who was grinning almost insanely. She knew he was thinking about something evil just from the look in his eyes. Perhaps it was a bad idea to go with him.

â??Do you love anyone, Luna?â? Loki asked, acting as if they had been old friends for ages. Luna jerked her head up at the sudden question and blushed. She had a thing for one of Odinâ??s sons. Balder. He was so handsome and manly and he always knew just what to say to her. He was also virtually indestructible.

â??Umm..yes. I love Balder. He helped me around here quite a few times. And I met him when Odin saved me.â? Luna said with a smile. She probably wouldnâ??t have confessed to it so easily if she had someone to talk to daily. Usually Baldur, Hermoth, Thor, and Vali were busy.

â??Baldur?â? Loki scoffed, his expression turning icy. â??Why not Thor? Or Hermoth? Or Vali even?â? Loki had always been wary of Baldur because of him being impervious to everything. However, he was very close to Baldurâ??s only weakness, and he intended to use it.

â??Thor is kind of scary. Heâ??s too big for me. Hermoth is stupid because he always puts himself in dangerous situations because he cares nothing for his life. And Vali..well I think Vali already likes me.â?

â??Then why do you not like him?â?

â??Because he isnâ??t my type, I guess. I knew Baldur first. I love Baldur.â? She simply said. Lokiâ??s hardened expression suddenly turned into a warm one. Something Luna didnâ??t understand.

â??I know. Do you want to spend more time with Baldur?â? Loki asked with a grin. â??I know where he is all day and I can easily take you to him so you can spend more time with the man you love.â? Luna looked up at him with a confused expression.

â??Baldur? No. Heâ??s too busy for me, and Iâ??m just a Valkyrie. Gods never bear children with Valkyries.â? She said simply.

â??Youâ??d be surprised my dear Luna. Come. Let us go se Baldur.â? Of course, Loki was not taking her to Baldur. He was taking her to Hod, who had taken refuge in Asgard. He was Baldurs twin brother, and once long ago Loki had promised to fetch him a woman. Now he could stay on good terms with the God, just in case he needed to use him again. When they crossed the bridge and arrived in Asgard, Loki pulled Luna to a small cottage.

â??Why would he be here?â? Luna demanded, folding her arms. Loki grinned as he opened the door and dragged Luna inside.

â??Patience, dear. You will see. Baldur?â? Loki called. Hod came into the large room that was the sitting room and raised an eyebrow.

â??Loki? What are youâ?¦â?

â??What I am doing Baldur is giving you a chance to be with a very attractive woman. You should take it.â? Loki replied. Luna blushed when she saw Hod come into the room, and she looked down at her feet, thinking he was Baldur. Hod looked at her and admired her for a bit before sighing. Loki had finally kept his promise and given him a woman, but he had tricked her.

â??I see. Then leave us Loki. I want to speak to this maiden in private.â?

â??Sure. I will be back to pick you up, Luna.â? Loki had purposely said her name so that Hod would know it. If all went well, Loki would have another show to watch soon. Hodâ??s jealousy of his brother would show soon enough. As Loki left, Hod sat in his chair. Luna sat down across from him and smiled.

â??How are you, Baldur? Its been a while since weâ??ve been alone. What are you doing in a place like this?â? Luna asked, giving him a puzzled look. Hod sighed.

â??You know. I like to get away from father and all the other people who bother me.â?

â??I thought you were fighting in Valhalla?â? Luna asked, cocking her head to the side. Hod realized he would have to keep her from asking questions, otherwise heâ??d be in real trouble.

â??Iâ??ve grown bored of that. However, I need something to make me feel a bit more alive.â? Hodâ??s teal eyes rested on Luna. Luna smiled, trying to keep their gazes connected.

â??What do you mean?â? She asked Hod with a smile, cocking her head to the side.

â??I meanâ?¦â? Hod said, getting up from his chair and standing over her. Suddenly he knelt down and took her hand, placing a gentle kiss on it. â??I need you. You are my life, Luna.â? Hod simply said.

â??But..â? Luna breathed but was cut off by Hods kiss. She never remembered Baldur being so aggressive with women, but she liked it. She closed her eyes and allowed him to kiss her, her body relaxing as his arms wrapped around her and pulled her from the wooden chair, picking her up and carrying her to his room.

Re: In the depths of Valhalla

Luna was placed gently on Hods bed. Hod hadnâ??t had a woman in ages. Even to have one under false circumstances would be okay with him. His hands went to caress her left breast, and she a small moan escaped her lips. This only encouraged him to go further, slipping his hand into her dress so he could feel her skin to skin. Her nipples had hardened quickly, but she placed a hand on his.

â??Baldurâ?¦this is going too fast.â? Luna said quietly. Hod looked into her eyes and realized that this girl was not his brothers lover. She was just someone that liked him and nothing special. Damn.

â??Come on. I know how much you love me. Iâ??ve always known. I love you too. So why is it going so fast?â?

â??Baldur, I love you as well, but I want a relationship with you before we make love.â? Luna looked up at Hod and then smiled at him. Hod smiled back, but he wasnâ??t amused inside. His rod wasnâ??t either, for it was fully erect and waiting.

â??Alright, I guess thatâ??s okay. But Iâ??m always busy whenever Iâ??m in Valhalla, and that means you have to come to me around this time when Iâ??m in Asgard. Do you understand? Plus, father will be upset with us. You donâ??t want that, do you?â? Hod asked, caressing her cheek. Luna blushed and then pressed her lips against his.

â??No. Odin has been good to me and I donâ??t want to upset him more than I already have by leaving Valhalla without his permission.â? Luna wasnâ??t looking forward to that at all. Odin seemed to know everything, so it wouldnâ??t be a surprise if she got home to him and Hildyr. Sheâ??d be scolded like a child of course and sent to bed early.

â??Loki didnâ??t get fathers permission? Heâ??ll be mad.â? Hod put his hand through Lunaâ??s soft platinum blonde hair and smiled. Having a woman around wouldnâ??t be so bad even if they didnâ??t have sex. It was so empty in the house and Hod had been lonely. He wished he could be in Valhalla along with his twin brother, but that was impossible.

Baldur probably didnâ??t even know that she liked him. He was probably to dense to see it, especially because he was so well loved already he didnâ??t even have to look. He probably didnâ??t think about Luna until he actually saw her, but she probably thought about him all day and night. It was upsetting, and Hod was getting sick of the fact that he was in his brothers shadow and he would never emerge from it. Luna looked at him and blinked.

â??Is there something wrong, Baldur?â? She asked, a concerned look on her face. She wasnâ??t sure if he was thinking so hard about her or something else, but she didnâ??t like it. Baldur seemed to be acting strange. Some of the expressions he was wearing she had never seen before. And his speech was off with a slight accent. Or perhaps she was just imagining it.

â??No. Iâ??m okay my dear. Donâ??t worry about me. I was just wondering if you and I could ever get married one day.â? Luna blinked and blushed when he said that. She looked away, like she was getting bothered with the thought.
â??I mean..not now of course. Just whenever we do what we do. You will conceive my child and we should be married after that. Donâ??t you think?â? Hod looked at her and smiled. She nodded, but was still embarrassed at the thought.

â??Oh, I see.â? Luna said quietly. Her eyes went to his chest and she placed a delicate hand over his heart. â??I love you.â? She whispered and kissed him gently once more. This time he returned the kiss and then sat up. His erection hadnâ??t gotten any better, and it seemed as though he was pitching a large tent in his toga.

â??Anyway, you should leave. Iâ??ve got to return to Valhalla soon, and Loki is outside the door.â? Hod turned himself away from her so she wouldnâ??t see his bulge. Luna frowned but nodded and then got up.

â??Alright, Iâ??ll come back tommorow.â? Luna got up and then began to walk out of the room.

â??Luna. I love you too.â? Hod said before she left. Luna looked back at him and smiled, leaving without another word. Loki was right outside the door when she opened it. The visit seemed to be too short.

â??Perhaps I will drop you off at an earlier time tomorrow?â? Loki asked with a grin. Loki wasnâ??t surprised that Hod went along with his trick. He obviously wanted a woman in his life, and he would take whatever he could get. Luna still had a smile on her face and she wasnâ??t listening to anything Loki had just said. â??Luna? Are you listening? Or are you thinking about Baldur?â?

â??Hmm?â? Luna asked, snapping out of her daydream.

â??Come on, Iâ??ll take you back home.â? Loki said with a grin.

When they got back to Valhalla, they had gotton back just in time for the evening feast. Loki and Luna appeared right as the others began to gather. Luna took her seat across from Vali, who was looking at her puzzled. Vali had seen her come with Loki.

The Valkyries had their own table, but Luna sat with Odinâ??s sons and daughters. He thought of her as his own after all. Loki was on the far side of their table, smirking to himself as if he were plotting. Odin suddenly appeared and the huge room fell silent. He took his seat and grabbed his mug of ail and then lifted it. Every did the same thing.

â??To Valhalla. Long live the Gods!â? He shouted. The room was filled with war cries, however they were all cut short by Odin himself. â??I see we have a guest. Stand up Loki.â? Odin said with a challenging voice. Loki rose with a smile, and the room was silent.

â??Why did you decide to come back now of all times?â? Odin said, folding his arms.
â??Come now, Odin. Canâ??t we put aside our differences tonight?â? Loki asked with a smile. Loki knew Odin had figured out he had taken Luna.

â??Watch yourself, Loki. This is my home. You have to follow my rules here. Now, everyone. Feast!â? Odin shouted.

The room began to fill with the noises of clattering plates and laughter. Odinâ??s eyes were now on Luna. She looked at him and smiled, but Odins bearded face remained serious.

â??We will talk later, Luna.â? Odin replied. Luna sighed and then began to eat. Baldur hadnâ??t really said anything to her through out the meal, but he probably knew that saying things in front of Odin and his brothers would cause something.

Re: In the depths of Valhalla

Once the feast had ended, Luna hadnâ??t even stood up before Odin gave her a warning glare. She sighed and realized he was serious. All of the brothers could see that Luna had some serious lecturing in store. Loki had left in some point of time. She stood up and then wished herself into Odins domain. Odin appeared on his thrown, along with Vali who had appeared beside him. Baldur and Thor were probably in their own rooms. Thor probably had a woman with him, and she hoped that Baldur was just tired.

â??Luna,â? Odin began, his thunderous voice breaking her train of thought. Luna looked at Odin, now at full attention. â??What have I told you about Loki?â? He demanded, folding his arms. At first, Luna didnâ??t know what to say. She couldnâ??t say much of anything to defend herself. She had defied Odin and that was the end of it. Even if she hadnâ??t gone with Loki, she would have still been chewed out.

â??Iâ??m sorry. I know that I went against your word, butâ?¦sometimes I just want to leave this place and go somewhere else.â?

â??So you left with Loki? The one I told you specifically not to associate yourself with?â? Odin demanded. Luna sighed and looked at her feet. â??You know what heâ??s capable of, Luna. You know the stories. His son almost killed you for gods sake.â?

â??I know. Its just that he suggested it, and so I started to yearn to go to Asgard. I wanted to get out of Valhalla for once, my Lord.â? Luna simply said.

â??If you promise you will no longer see Loki, I will grant you permission to go back and forth.â? Odin proposed. He wanted Luna safe, but he had to let go of his over protectiveness of her. Otherwise, she would simply defy him more and more. That included being with Loki just to smite him. Besides, she didnâ??t know anyone in Asgard. What could be the harm of letting her explore something other than Valhalla?â? Luna nodded. She didnâ??t like Loki much anyway, however, she was sure he would return to her. She actually owed him for telling her about where Baldur was.

â??I promise, Odin.â? She said with a smile. Odin looked her over and studied her expression before nodding.

â??Good, then Vali shall escort you back to youâ??re room and you can go to sleep.â? Luna muttered something to herself about not being tired and Vali took her hand, leaving the room with a simple thought. Odin looked off into space and glared at the wall.

â??Donâ??t you dare touch her, Loki. Sheâ??s just an innocent little girl. Already youâ??re trying to make your moves.â? He left and went into his chambers, seeing Frigg waiting for him. His wife was always in bed waiting after he had feasted.

â??Was Luna okay?â? Frigg asked with a smirk. Odin slipped into bed with her and shook his head.
â??Yeah. But I still donâ??t trust Loki. Heâ??ll make a move on her when we least expect it. This much I know.â?

Vali had tucked Luna into bed, making sure he did what Odin told her to. Odin was worried Loki might appear again, so he volunteered to watch her for tonight. She was so beautiful that he could barely stand being so close to her. He wanted her to be his, but she was much more interested in Baldur than him. He just wanted her to be happy, so he didnâ??t interfere. Luna yawned, and closed her eyes. She could still feel Valiâ??s presence and wondered why he didnâ??t leave yet.

***

The next day, after all of her work was done Luna found herself traveling to Asgard alone. Loki had not showed up, which was strange to her. Then again, she didnâ??t want to defy Odin, so she simply went along with not a care in the world. She couldnâ??t wait to see Baldur again. When she came to his house, he had already opened the door and welcomed her with a smiling face. She smiled back and came in.

â??I got Odin to grant me permission to Asgard.â? She said, sitting down in his lap once he sat. Hod cradled her to his chest and nodded.

â??That is good. Now you wonâ??t have to go behind his back to see me.â? He said, brushing a bit of her hair from her eyes. She blinked and then smiled again. He was beginning to fall for this woman. She was so innocent and pure. But if he ever told her he was not the real Baldur, she would leave him. So he decided the best thing to do is simply play his brother so that he could make a deeper connection with her and make love.

Re: In the depths of Valhalla

For the next few months, Luna repeated the same routine. Work, Asgard, Valhalla. That was all of her destinations. Baldur seemed to act as if nothing was going on with them when they were in Valhalla, but in Asgard, they were madly in love with each other. He seemed to be a different person almost. In all that time, Loki had not made another appearance. However, one day he did. He was waiting for her, standing in front of the entrance to Asgard.

â??Loki?â? Luna asked with a puzzled look. She remembered she wasnâ??t suppose to speak to him, but she wanted to know why he hadnâ??t showed his face for those long months.

â??Hello my darling. How is it going withâ?¦Baldur?â? He asked with a grin. Loki had had enough with the happiness and decided to start some drama just for the hell of it.

â??Great. We love each other so much. Baldur is so kind when weâ??re alone.â? Luna said with a smile. Then it dropped. â??But we canâ??t keep going on like this. I need Odin to know soonâ?¦so we can stop keeping it a secret. He deserves to know.â? Loki grinned.

â??Have you taken your relationship with Baldur to the next level? Or are you still an innocent little girl?â? Loki asked, having a hard time not to laugh.

â??I want to get married before giving myself to him!â? Luna said, folding her arms. She didnâ??t want her first time to be just any old time. She wanted it to be special. On her honeymoon with Baldur. She knew that she would wind up getting pregnant anyway. So why not be married first?

â??You should tell him that then. Then, when he says yes, you will tell Odin. By yourself if you have to. Be proud and say, â??Odin, Baldur has chosen to be my bride!â?? Then Baldur would have no choice but to admit you both were seeing each other. However, you canâ??t tell him youâ??re going to toast to it. Otherwise, heâ??ll reject you. Alright?â? Loki grinned. Luna nodded.

â??Youâ??re right. Its time to take matters into my own hands.â? She said, then walked passed him. Loki watched her.

â??I think its time to visit Valhalla once again.â?

Once Luna had gotten to Hods house, she took a deep breath and entered. Hod had been waiting for her as usual. â??Look, Baldur. I know youâ??ve been wanting to have sex with me for a while, however I feel its best that we get married first. So can we get married?â? Hod was speechless. He had fallen so deeply in love with her that he would be willing to do anything to make her stay. Even lie.

â??Ummâ?¦we can get married, if thatâ??s what you want, Luna.â? Hod said with a smile. Luna smiled back and sat on his lap.

â??Good. I was afraid you would reject me.â? Se kissed him deeply and he kissed her back, both closing their eyes at the same time.

***

Odin had sensed Lokiâ??s presence for the first time in months. It was almost time for the feast, and he figured Loki had come for that. However, he had an uneasy feeling. He only showed up when trouble presented itself. Luna had come in a few minutes after Loki. Loki smiled at her, pretending to be there for emotional support. The poor girl smiled back and sat in her usual seat.

Once everyone was there, Odin toasted for tonight, however, unlike every night, this time someone else had something to this toast. She stood, and all eyes were on hers. Loki could barely contain himself. This was it.

â??Everyoneâ?¦Iâ??ve got something to say. Iâ??ve been seeing this man for months, and finally I got him to propose to me.â? Applause filled the room, but Odin was the only one not clapping (and some of the valkyries werenâ??t either). â??However, Iâ??m not sure if Odin will approve. He is someone we all know and is sweet, and kindâ?¦and loving. Baldur. Baldur is going to marry me!â? The room fell silent, and Luna looked at Baldur. His mouth was open, and he looked confused.

â??Is this true?â? Odin asked, turning to Baldur.

â??I know nothing of it, fatherâ?¦Perhaps Lunaâ?¦needs some rest.â? Baldur said, looking at her as if she were crazy.

â??Come on Baldur. You said that you would marry me. Did you expect that we would get married without your fathers consent?â? Luna asked with a puzzled expression. Suddenly, the big door creaked open, and everyone looked back. Gasps filled the room, and Lunaâ??s eyes were wide open. Baldur stood up, and Odin lowered his gaze. â??There areâ?¦two of you?â? Luna asked, looking at Baldur and then Hod.

â??You donâ??t belong in Valhalla!â? Baldur shouted at Hod. Hod shook his head.

â??Iâ??m here to explain things to you, Luna! This was all Lokiâ??s fault! He tricked you, not me! I love youâ?¦so pleaseâ?¦come back to Asgard with me. Weâ??re in love!â?

â??No!â? Luna shouted as Hod made his way to her. â??I fell in love with who I thought was Baldur! I donâ??t know youâ?¦you snake! Iâ??m not seeing you ever again! You embarrassed me! You humiliated me! Are you happy now!?â? Luna shouted and then she ran out of the room.

Loki began to laugh, breaking the utter silence. Odinâ??s gaze shifted to him. â??This was your doing, Loki?â? He growled. Loki smirked.

â??No. It was that girls. So longing for Baldur that she couldnâ??t even see that Hod wasnâ??t him. Oh well. A girl like thatâ?¦doesnâ??t deserve to be loved.â?

Re: In the depths of Valhalla

Luna couldnâ??t believe it. Loki had fooled her. Loki had introduced her to someone who wasnâ??t her one true love. Whatâ??s worse, she hadnâ??t even noticed. She could see minor differences, but she hadnâ??t even paid attention to it! She was crying in her pillow, humiliated and distraught. How could she have let this happen? Why hadnâ??t she listened to Odin?

There was a small knock on her door. She had been given a private room, so it wasnâ??t that hard to find her. However, she didnâ??t want to talk to anyone right now. In fact, she was going to leave Valhalla as soon as she could. The door opened even though she had locked it, but it wasnâ??t Baldur or Baldurâ??s fake. It was Vali. Vali had a concerned look on his face. She hated it. She didnâ??t want Vali to comfort her. She wanted Baldur. The real one.

â??Luna. Iâ??m so sorry this happened to you. Loki disappeared once again. Father scolded Hod, but heâ??s allowed to stay in Valhalla. Baldur wasnâ??t really too happy about it. He didnâ??t even know he had a twin brother. Luna, please stop crying. Iâ??m sorry this happened to you. I really am. No one is laughing at you. Loki is the one to blame.â?

â??Youâ??re wrong! Everyone is laughing at me. To think someone like Baldur could like someone like me. It had to be a trap.â? Luna stated, and then put her head back in her pillow. Vali sighed. He wanted nothing more than to wring Loki and Hodâ??s neck. Hod had no right to act as if he were Baldur. He hurt Luna for his own selfish reasons.

â??Iâ??m sorry, Luna. I just wanted to cheer you up. Please, donâ??t let them get to you. Luna, youâ??re in a class of your own. Donâ??t forget that. No one is better than you. So please donâ??t think my brother or any of us would turn you away for being who you are. Okay?â? Vali asked, caressing her cheek. Luna felt a little better, however, she didnâ??t smile. She simply nodded and then looked away. Vali sighed and then took his leave, leaving Luna all alone again. She wouldnâ??t stay here. Sheâ??d go to Asgard so she wouldnâ??t have to show her face again. Now that Hod lived here, she didnâ??t want to be in the same world with him anyway.

***

It wasnâ??t hard to sneak out of Valhalla even before work. She wasnâ??t sure where she would live, but she was sure she could find a run down cottage or something. Odin would know she wasnâ??t in Valhalla and would come looking for her sooner or later, but she wouldnâ??t go back. Ever. When she got to Asgard, she found a nice inn to stay at and a job being a maid at the exact same place. She would be happy just living as a chambermaid.

After a few weeks, Thor had found her. Thor looked more like Odin then any other child. He had a long red beard and wild hair. He was well built and tall. Taller than Loki. She would have liked him better without the facial hair.

â??Iâ??m not going back to Valhalla, Thor.â? Luna said quietly. She was on break so she had time to talk to Thor. The hulking man sighed, and then adjusted his hammer.
â??Luna, are you sure? You always have a place in Valhalla, soâ?¦â? Thor seemed a bit nervous, like he didnâ??t know what to say. Luna shrugged.

â??I know. I just want to stay here.â? She said simply. Thor nodded and decided to tell his father so he would know she was safe. Loki hadnâ??t showed his face in Asgard or Valhalla thanks to some of their sources. So he was sure sheâ??d be safe for now.

â??Alright. I wonâ??t force you to come back. Just take care of yourself.â?

After that day, Luna hadnâ??t seen anyone from Valhalla in weeks. Thor had promised that she wouldnâ??t be forced to come back, and she was surprised he kept his word. However, after thirty-seven days, she found someone in her room she had pushed out of her mind since she had left.

â??Who are you?â? She demanded after a few minutes of awkward silence.

â??Iâ??m Hod. Luna, Iâ??m so sorry. I really am.â?

â??Get out.â? Luna began to look for things to throw. She hated Hod with a passion, and she didnâ??t want him any where near her. Hod folded his arms after standing up.

â??You loved me.â? He said quietly.

â??I loved who you pretended to be. I wonâ??t ask you again. Get out.â? Hod shook his head.

â??No. I will not. I love you Luna. So much I can no longer stand being away from you.â? He walked towards her and then forced a kiss on her lips. Luna began to push him away but he firmly held her in place. Finally he pulled away.

â??You will be punished for this!â? Luna shouted, glaring up at him.

â??By who? You donâ??t live in Valhalla, remember? No one is going to punish me for taking someone who doesnâ??t belong to Valhalla. Someone who loves me no less. And I love her. Trust me, there will be no getting out of this.â? He grabbed her and threw her on the bed. Luna cried out and before she knew it he was on top of her again.

â??No! Hod, please donâ??t do this! Hod!â? Luna screamed as he began to yank away her dress, making sure she was fully exposed before allowing his length to poke at her, ready to take her virginity. He quickly positioned himself at her entrance and she began to scream. â??Hod, no!â? She shouted.

Re: In the depths of Valhalla

Luna stared up at the ceiling as Hod continued to help himself to her body. She didnâ??t understand why he was doing this if he loved her. Finally after several hours it was all over. He kissed her on the cheek and then looked her in the eyes. The eyes reminded her of Lokiâ??s and she gasp quietly. â??Finally. I finally got what Loki truly promised me.â? He said and then got up. He laughed when he saw her, helpless and stunned. â??Iâ??m sorry. But I have no more interest in you.â? With that, Hod left her. She didnâ??t know how long she laid there, or how long she was crying. She didnâ??t care. She just didnâ??t care anymore.

Vali was the one who found her and hurried to her aid. He put her in the bathtub after he heated the water and began to clean her. She was still crying, and there was no telling when she would stop. Vali knew what had happened to her, but he wanted to know who. Who did this to the love of his life? Who took her virginity and possibly left his vile seed in her womb? After he had given her a bath, he dried her and clothed her and then began to walk out of the cottage. He wanted her to come back to Valhalla, and in her condition, she wouldnâ??t say no.

Luna knew that Vali was taking her to Valhalla, but sheâ??d feel safe there. Had she stayed there, this wouldnâ??t have happened. Odin would have protected her. But she threw his protection away for a sense of freedom. She looked up at Vali, trying to sniffle away her tears. He looked down at her, sensing that she was awake.

â??Iâ??m sorry I couldnâ??t protect you, Luna.â? He whispered as his eyes began to water. Luna was still sniffling, but she was over the crying part at least.

â??Whyâ?¦why did you come? How did you know..?â?

â??I didnâ??tâ?¦I just wanted you to come to the banquet tonight. Weâ??re inviting a lot of people and I wanted you to be there.â? Luna sighed and then nodded.

â??Iâ??ll go.â?

â??Noâ?¦you donâ??t have to. Not in your condition. Besides, someone there was probably responsible for this. Right?â? Vali asked with a loathing tone.

â??It was Hod.â?

â??Pheh.â? Vali scoffed. He knew it, he knew Baldurâ??s twin and brother had done it. Baldur had been with him all day, so it had to be Hod. He always disappeared, probably stalking her. She dried her tears and then sighed.

â??Iâ??ll go though. Odin would want me to be there. Everyone probably does. Iâ??ll tell Odin later, but you canâ??t. I donâ??t want to ruin the banquet because of my bad day.â?

â??Oh, Luna.â? Vali looked at her with sympathetic eyes. She shook her head.

â??I just donâ??t want it to be about me. Please donâ??t pick a fight. Please donâ??t tell. Please?â? She pleaded. He looked down at her and sighed. Even now she was radiant.

â??It will take a lot to not kill Hod for what he did to you. But I willâ?¦I will do as you wish.â? He kissed her cheek and she smiled.

â??Odd. I extended my invitation to Loki and he still has not shown his face.â? Odin told Baldur. Baldur shrugged.

â??I donâ??t want to see his face here anyway. After what he did to Lunaâ?¦he needs to just stay away from her. If Vali did get Luna to come, its for the best.â? Baldur replied. He looked across the room to his twin brother Hod and glared. Hod felt his gaze and glared back. He didnâ??t understand why Odin allowed such a snake to be in Valhalla. â??I think its bad enough he has to be here.â?

Odin shook his head. â??I know how you feel, but there was no point in keeping his existence a secret anymore. So he can stay if he pleases.â? As Odin spoke, Luna and Vali came into the room. Everyone turned there heads and saw her, and she looked down at her feet. She felt a little embarrassed from last time.

â??Everyone, our main guest is here, clap for her!â? Odin bellowed. Applause erupted from the room, and Luna blushed harder. Vali pulled out a seat for her at Odins table, right next to his and the furthest away from Hod.

After a few more minutes, everyone took his or hers seat. Baldur was the only one still standing, because it was time for him to perform for everyone else.

â??As a tradition, we will amuse ourselves by throwing things at my indestructible son!â? Odin shouted. The room erupted into chaos, and everyone began to throw stuff at the God, and he stood there, smiling. Hod got up and then aimed something right for Baldurs heart. Vali and Luna both watched him, wondering why he had chosen that of all things to throw at his twin.

â??Baldurâ?¦I saw what you did to Lunaâ?¦you bastard.â? Hod mumbled and then hurled the object into Baldurs chest. Baldur suddenly made a small, strained noise and then fell to the floor.

â??STOP!â? Odin shouted and then ran to his son. Luna and everyone else sitting at Odins table followed. Hod stood there, glaring at the corpse that once was his twin.

â??Baldur! Baldur wake up! Whatâ??s wrong with him!?â? Luna shouted as she shook the stiff body.

â??Heâ??s deadâ?¦â? Odin whispered in disbelief. â??I donâ??t know how this happened, but everybody in this room must wish him back to life! Otherwiseâ?¦he will slip into the underworld.â? Odin stated. Everyone nodded and began to speak among themselves but someone got up. It was an old lady that looked as if she lived for thousands of years.

â??I wonâ??t. Whatâ??s he done for me? Nothing. He should stay dead. He was nothing but a shell of a god anyway.â? She grinned at Odin, and Odinâ??s eyes widened. However, his thoughts were cut off when someone let out a monstrous roar.

â??YOU BASTARD! Iâ??LL KILL YOU!â? Vali screamed and charged to Hod. Hod, who had grown up not knowing any ways to defend himself stood there, stunned. He was sure no one had seen him assassinate Baldur. Vali stabbed him through the heart with a small blade, just as he had thrown the mistletoe in his brothers heart. He staggered back.

â??Youâ?¦donâ??t understandâ?¦Baldurâ?¦rapedâ?¦the love of my lifeâ?¦He raped Lunaâ?¦â? Those were his final words before he staggered back and then dropped dead to the floor. The old woman began to cackle as if she were amused by the horrible show.

â??Lokiâ?¦you are responsible for this. You killed my sonsâ?¦You tricked Hod, you tricked Luna, you tricked Valiâ?¦â? Odin began to go blind with uncontrollable rage.

Re: In the depths of Valhalla

Loki continued to laugh and changed back into his original form. â??How very perceptive, Odin. However, you canâ??t prove I did any of it.â? Loki said with a confident look.

â??TO HELL WITH PROOF!â? Thor shouted, grabbing his hammer and smashing it to the floor. â??How dare you kill my brothers, Loki! Hod I cared nothing of, but Baldur! He was our God of Peace!â?

â??That was his plan all alongâ?¦He wanted Baldur dead so that Ragnarok is just a step closer. Baldurâ?¦you fucking bastardâ?¦â? Loki glared at him and then looked down at his dead sons. Then he looked at Luna, who looked as if she were about to explode any second in anger and grief.

â??This is the final straw, Loki. You will regret thisâ?¦for a long time.â? Odin said coldly. Loki smiled.

â??What are you going to do? Imprison me? Oh right, you canâ??t. Iâ??m a fucking God!â? Loki laughed and then disappeared. Odin smiled cruelly.

â??Thatâ??s whereâ?¦youâ??re wrong.â? He turned to Vali, who was shaking with anger at being tricked into killing a brother.

â??Fatherâ?¦I want to kill him. Let me kill him!â? Odin shook his head.

â??Vali. Iâ??m sorry butâ?¦I cannot kill Loki. That would bring chaos. However, I have a punishment cooked up just for him. I promise you Vali. Death will be a pittance compared to what I will do to him once I get my hands on him. Now. Take Luna to her quarters and comfort her. I have a few things to take care of.â?

Vali looked at his father and knew he was not joking. He looked at Luna and then helped her to her feet. Vali wanted nothing more than revenge on Loki, but Luna needed him more. â??Come on, Luna. Iâ??ll make things better. I will treat you like a goddess, as Baldur would have done. You wonâ??t get hurt anymore. Iâ?¦promise you. With all my heart. No one will ever hurt you again.â?

With that, Vali swept her off her feet and took her to her room as she finally began to cry.

In the Depths of Valhalla: End.
