Re: Saving Her Daughter ((Distain and Atzura))

Stephen nearly choked to death on absolutely nothing."I did not mean like that! "He looked at her eyes wide walking over to the barrel "I thought you meant playing house... Cooking cleaning. Your to young to be doing those things"He was terrified this girl was far to young to talk like that.

"No no... It's actually quite okay. I understand the bulk of it. It's actually very easy, and simple to keep a man happy. All you have to do is keep his belly full, his house clean, and his bed warm." She paused looking around the corn field. "Are you the only person here? How will you find a woman if you are always alone?"

Re: Saving Her Daughter ((Distain and Atzura))

He laughed she really did sound like his sister. "I go to town regularly and when the fields are growing i may come and go as i please. "He spoke softly looking at her."There is more to being a wife then those 3 things. "He looked at her picking her up and setting her down next to him. pushing the barrel back to his house slowly. Still wearing his left claw." I need to teach you that. "

Re: Saving Her Daughter ((Distain and Atzura))

"What else? There is nothing else." She said with a little smile. "You're a very silly man. My mother would like you. But I don't think you're smart enough for her to want to breed with you." She turned and looked towards his home. "Mister Stephen..." She noticed at least four shadowy figures lurking around. The area wasn't famous for bandits or theives, but the occassional raid wasn't something completely rare. "Mister Stephen, there are people by your house." Her eye sight was and probably forever would be sharper than his. The next thing they heard was the breaking of one of his windows.

Stephen pointed at the bin barn. "Get inside the barn and hide. There is a big pile of hay there. Get inside it and don't come out. "He put his right claw on and took of running towards his house. He for the first time since she had been with him he moved fluidly. It was clear he was far more comfortable as a soldier then as a farmer.

She watched him transform into a different person, and felt afraid. Not for herself, but for the four poor idiots ruining his home. They'd have little chance to live, he seemed cold, even colder with a little woman with him. "I'd like to see!" She yelled, giving him pursuit. Her speed wasn't as great as his obviously, she was but a young child. Her animalistic origins helped her trail though.

Re: Saving Her Daughter ((Distain and Atzura))

He took to great steps that looked more like leaps. One onto a small barrel near his porch and the other onto the railing of his porch. From there he pounced leading shoulder and claw first. He buried the claw of his left hand into the side and of ones gut and rode him to the ground.
As he rolled to his feet he slashed with his free claw cutting another's calf to the bone in 3 places. He instantly crumpled to the ground. "I would run if i where you!" He spoke calmly as he stood blood dripping from the claws as he stepped back. He was still in an attack stance as the others froze for a moment."I have warned you before. Stay off my land. The next time your bandits come here they wont leave. "He almost growled that statement as the remaining to drug the others off Stephen moved to the door looking into it making certain that there was no one left inside.

Re: Saving Her Daughter ((Distain and Atzura))

Saki raced, but by the time she arrived, the intruders had begun retreating, on of them fatally wounded. She breathed slowly to catch her breath. "You killed that man. He may have been someone's brother, son, or husband. Perhaps he was trying to feed his family. Human beings should think about that before killing someone. But... now he's gone. It looks like you took a shot at his shoulder and then his intestines. Those organs won't stop bleeding if punctured. So he was dead the moment you lunged at him. It's sad. He had a handsome looking face. Certainly had a woman..."

Re: Saving Her Daughter ((Distain and Atzura))

Stephen stopped in looked at her curiously. She was a strange girl. She ran into danger, she was intelegant to an almost disturbing level, and what she had said about playing house... He glanced at her nodding. "I don't like killing him. But if you where in that home. He would have done the same or worse. Those bandits kill people every day. I have warned them several times and wounded several of them."He took his claws off walking over to the water pump in front of his house washing them of the gore. "Perhaps his death will save many lives. Who knows how many people he would have killed, or harmed. His death may cause others to quit being a bandit. At the very least his death should keep them away from my home. If killing one person will keep you safe. " He paused looking up at her. "Then that is a burden i am willing to carry.

Re: Saving Her Daughter ((Distain and Atzura))

"That's one way to look at it. But this could also upset the bandits, and they'll just send tougher, more experienced men to come get you. THEN if I was in your home, and for whatever reason you're defeated, I would be in trouble. And in today's world, although bandits have accepted women as members, the majority are men. Lonely men, who spend thousands of hours with other men. I wouldn't be killed, not immediately. I would be sodomized to their heart's content..." She looked back at the dead man on the ground. "He has no badge, no marking, no bandana hanging off any particular place. He was a grunt."
