For some reason, a lot of Suicidal Tendencies and DRI songs make me nostalgic, even though I didn't grow up in the '80s (early/mid-2000s kid here!). I grew up listening to rap, R&B, pop, disco, pop punk, bands that I thought were "emo" (Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Blink-182, All American Rejects), and dubstep before I discovered heavy metal when I was thirteen. Maybe I'm a punk kid at heart! Maybe that's why I listen to a lot of thrash metal and classic heavy metal... or maybe I'm just an old soul trapped in the body of a scrawny twenty-year-old dumbass lmao. Like, I can imagine myself skateboarding down my neighborhood while listening to How Will I Laugh Tomorrow or Thrash Zone
