Matt sat slouched in the seat of the train car, his eyes listlessly staring out the window onto the train platform. He had been here for a while, prefering to arrive early instead of being late, but that meant he got plenty of time to simply sit here and stare. He wasn't looking for anything in particular, he knew very few of the studetns at Hogwarts very well so he had no one to look for. It was just displacement activity, something to look at while his mind worked over whatever problem he was thinking about at the time.

Because of his reputation for being a bother to be with no one had dared to come and share the same train care with him. Of course someone would have to eventually, there weren't that many seats but until the last seconds the other students woudl stay away from him. Matt didn't mind that too much. It wasn't that he looked particularly strange, he was pretty normal actually. Average hieght and a bit skinny to tell the truth, with long arms and legs. His skin had been burned tan by countless hours out in the sun doing his favorite pastime; Quiddich. Hsi eyes were a brillant blue and his brown hair was long and fell over his face to partially obscure those same eyes. All and all he was good looking, but his personality tended to scare people away.

Still he would be back at Hogwarts soon, able to use his magic and able to play his favorite sport without having to hide in the woods. Things were looking up for the Slytherian boy. All that he needed now was to have a person in the train car who woudln't talk to him and bother him.

Another year, another time to shine! Literally in some cases too. Andrea was so excited a she walked down the platform to make way toward the train. She was so very glad to be back. Her true friends were here, well, they were there. At Hogwarts. She was in desperate need to talk to them, definitely. She wanted to just get away from those wretched people back home and talk to her friends about this and that. Go running around the campus. Play with the interesting animals and everything of that sort. She was definitely going to make the best of her fourth year. She was getting closer to her final year, and she was so happy for that. She loved the school, she did not wish to completely leave, but if she did, she could stay in the Wizarding magical world for a job. Become Hogwartsâ?? secretary or something. Sadly, she would not mind that at all. Just anything to keep her from her family would be good.

Pushing the thoughts from her mind, and the blue and black locks from her face, the girlâ??s amethyst eyes peered around the platform, seeing all the other students getting on and saying good bye to their parents, all those â??funâ?? things. She sighed softly and let her luggage be carried off before she made her way toward the cars to try and find a seat. Sadly, she had gotten here a little bit later than she would have liked. Her friends never really thought to save her a seat since, sometimes, that was not an option. Others would bombard them and not leave an open seat for her, but she never minded, so they never really protested. There would be plenty of time to talk and catch up when they were at the school, in their dorms, the classes, oh the classes! She was so giddy to get into those.

Giggling softly to herself, the ivory skinned girl made her way through the halls, seeing that pretty much everywhere was taken up, or held for someone else. She nodded, waving to her friends before she ended up at the last room where no one seemed to wish to be. Why? Matt was there. She sighed softly, shaking her head of her thoughts and she moved into the room and gave him a gentle smile. â??Why, hello Matthew.â? She said, laughing lightly as she sat across from him. Her arms folded over her lower torso and she set her back against the chair, sighing softly. Her eyes fluttered closed and now, she relaxed. She never had an issue with Matthew. No, quite the opposite. She enjoyed his company. He was nice and fun to talk to and yeah, he was intimidating, but there was just something about him that ... struck her fancy.

Matt looked away from the window, the suprise of being talked to directly not showing in his slow head movement. He looked up at the girl as she laughed, the clear sound of her laughter sounding loud in the quite cabin, and continued to follow her as she sat down across from him. There were few people that he wouldn't snap at for somethign like that, after all he might not be normally a angry person but he didn't like people assuming friendship. But this was Andrea, the only person that he might consider a real friend in the entire school even if they didn't see each other all that much.

"Hello Andrea. Are you ready for school again?" Matt finally said, after sometime had passed between the two. He tended to answer a bit late the first time they met, his personality seeming to shift frm hi normal one to a more open one...though only a little more open. Most people would see it as slightly strange, two people from different houses getting along so well. But Matt didn't quite fit with Slytherain, though he wasn't far off, and Andrea didn't seem to care. People might not approve which is why they didn't spend too much time together, but when they could in little places like this they did.

"You couldn't find your friends?" Matt asked, his voice curt but interested.

Andrea watched the other, adoring that she was one of the few he would not be snippy with for coming to sit with him and everything of that sort. She liked to be privileged, it made her feel utterly special and well, sometimes, she definitely needed to feel that. Her home life was not the best â?? at all. She never tells anyone what happens then. All anyone ever knows is that her parents are Muggles [or whatever the effing word is] and that they do not approve of Hogwarts. That is all she lets be known about her. She was sure that the higher up teachers and everything of that sort know her history, but they never told anyone and never discussed her past with her. The first day there, one of the teachers came to her and told her that they were there if she needed to talk, but other than that â?? nothing. That was how she liked it. She came to terms with her past, and therefore, does not need to speak to anyone about it. Why open up healed wounds?

She giggle at his first question, shaking her head a little before she shrugged. Taking out a hair-tie from her pack, she began to pull back her long locks while speaking. â??I am always ready for school. Itâ??s so much better here than anywhere else, and besides, I get to use my magic.â? With a wink, she finished her sentence and tied her hair into a ponytail. Her long legs lifted, folding beneath her form and she rested her hands upon her knees, lifting her eyes to look back to the man with his second question. Awe. That made it sound like he did not want her here. Okay, he probably did not. He liked his alone-time and she more than likely had interfered with that, but well, whatever. She did not care and she knew in the long run he did not either. Better her than some Hufflepuff that will freak out on him or chatter his ear off the whole time. At least Andrea knew when to shut up around Matthew.

â??I found them. They just found other friends first.â? She shrugged away the thought and then settled against the seat once more, her eyes to the man and she giggled excitedly before taking in a deep breath to calm herself. She glanced to the window once the train began to move, seeing parents waving to their children form the platform and she shook her head before turning to look back at the man before her. â??Besides, this way it gives us time to catch up! Howâ??s the wife? Kids doing well in school?â? She chuckled softly, amusing herself with her words.

Matt watched Andrea out of the corner of his eye. It was always interesting to see a woman make up herself, exspecially one like Andrea. Of course he was of that age for guys where girls became interesting though he had to admit he probably had less interest than most guys. For amny any girl was interesting, but Matt had found his attention drawn towards Andrea a lot more than he was to any other girl. Besides having a personality he could actually stand he did find something else interesting about her. He wasn't quite sure what it was but there certainly was somethign there for him at least.

"See you should just have enough friends to fill one train car. Or else they don't have room for you." Matt said, turning his head to face Andrea completely. "And the wife and kids are doing fine. Same as always." Matt's voice never changed from its almost monotone way of speaking, but there might have been something else there. A glint in the eyes that showed that he was joking at least a little bit.

Andrea rolled her eyes. Less friends? Never. She liked having a lot of friends. She always had been the social little butterfly. Ever since she was little, she was the girl who went up to the kid sitting out of the game and tugged him and made him play with the other children. Maybe that was what she saw in Matt. He was that little boy that sat in the corner because he did not want to play with the others, so she had to be the one to be sure he did not stay alone. She would not force him into awkward social situations. She knew he would not like that at all. That was definitely not him. He was not the type to go and play football, or go to dances, and everything of that sort. She just wanted to make sure he was not alone. No one liked to really be alone. People were meant to be with people, right? Of course. She would give Matthew his alone time when he wanted it, but until she saw him getting annoyed by her talking to him, she would keep up the socialization.

â??But then I would not get the chance to be with you.â? She batted her lashes playfully before letting out a gentle little laugh. She shrugged her shoulders, pulling her knees to her tee shirt clad torso, resting against the window, curling up a little and she looked over at the man once more, smiling at the words he spoke. Good to see he still got her humor. She sighed lightly, resting her head against the window as her eyes kept to his. â??How was your vacation? Anything interesting happen? Find a girl to call your own yet?â? She doubted he even was interested in women, to be honest, but hey, what did it hurt to ask? Maybe he did find someone and she could pester him about her.

Matt watched as Andrea drew her legs up to her chest and curled up on the bench. He couldn't help but notice her long legs, or the smooth skin there. He knew it wasn't right and so he manged to keep his looking from being obvious, certainly not wanting Andrea to see him looking. He had seen plenty of legs before, including hers, so it was strange that a set of legs was making him have these thoughts now. It was probably horomones going crazy. It didn't matter that it was Andrea, any girl would have made these thoughts happen. Still it was Andrea causing these thoughts. Any other girl coudl be ignored because of who they were, but Andrea was harder to ignore.

"Yeah the houses do kind of stop us from meeting. Doesn't that seem strange. Hogwarts is a school but they are already teaching us to be set apart from 75% of all other witches and wizards. Seems wierd." Matt crossed his arms across his chest and leaned back in his seat, looking up at the celing of the train car as he thought.

"Vacation was fine. Practiced Quiditch and you already know the answer to the woman question."

Andrea snorted softly with a gentle shake of her head. She had to agree with him. She never really got the whole separation thing. No. She did. She understood why they had them. Easier to keep track of the students, separate them to put them into different dorms et cetera. There was logic behind the houses. She knew that, but she did not really prefer the whole Houses thing in general. She never let it bother her from making friends, though. She had some in Hufflepuff and others in Griffyndor, and then she had Matthew â?? the boy from Slytherin. She did not let the houses affect her friends. Thing being, the Slytherins have made a name for themselves and that was that they were nasty and cruel et cetera, so no one wished to really talk with them. Not in Andreaâ??s case, but she definitely was the exception to most rules.

â??Mm . . . Especially with the bad reputation of your House.â? She added with a little nod before she shrugged and was already past the topic, onto the new one. She laughed with his comment about the woman, shaking her head playfully. â??Hey, miracles can happen.â? She teased, poking her tongue out at him before she turned to look out the window. Lifting a hand, she began to absently draw along the window with a delicate, slender forefinger, keeping her blue eyes to the fields as they went by. They should be to Hogwarts soon. She was so excited for it too. She wanted to go and flop onto her bed, take a nap, toss around, take a shower â?? things of that sort. Not that she was dirty. She just wanted to bathe ... there. Itâ??s a strange thinking she tends to have. One of those â??welcome homeâ? type deals. Laughing at the thought, she turned back to look at the man in front of her, smiling lightly. â??Are you happy to be back, or am I the only one who is?â?

"I can't help that my house has a bad reputation. Besides people just get scared of Slytherin because the really bad apples that had come from it. Not everyone was like the Death Eaters or You-Know-Who." Matt did know the reputation of his house well, and of course there was some truth in the reputation. After all usually for something to get to be so well known there had to be some truth behind the rumors and there were some bad apples in Slytherin. Still Matt didn't hang around much with anyone and that included much of Slytherin. The only ones that he spent much time with was the Quiddich team and even they were very good friends.

"And there isn't enough magic in the world to make me worry about a woman." Of course as he said that his eyes were looking at Andrea and Matt knew that there was one woman he at least wanted to spend more time with.

"I like being back. I like being able to use my magic. I like being able to play Quiddich without having to hide out in the forest. My family isn't much fun during the summer so there isn't much of a lose there." Matt sighed and leaned back against the window, staring outside and noticing the same signs of Hogwarts getting close as she did. "I guess we better change into our robes."

Andrea laughed. Of course he felt that way. He really was not a social fellow. She still enjoyed his company though. She listened to the suggestion and sighed heavily. â??Because theyâ??re so fashionable.â? She said while standing up from the seat she was in. She tugged at her trunk, grumbling as it was stuck. Pulling the thing for a bit more, she eventually let out a loud squeak, falling to the other side of the car, landing on the manâ??s lap. She blinked a few times, turning to look at him and she let out a nervous laugh, cheeks a lovely shade of red as she cleared her throat. â??Sorry about that...â? She murmured and then pushed off of him, brushing off her rump as she went back to work on pulling the trunk out of the overhead.

She managed this time, placing it onto the bench she had been on, her back to the man behind her all the while. She took out her robe, pulling it around her form and she then double-checked for her wand and that everything was in the trunk before nodding. Closing the trunk with a little â??clickâ?? of the latch, she peered out the window. Hogwarts was coming into view and she was definitely feeling the butterflies. She sat down beside her trunk, her arms around her lower torso while she impatiently waited for the train to stop. Her sapphire eyes did not look to the man in front of her, rather kept to the outside. She was still embarrassed about falling onto him earlier. Not the whole action. The action was an accident. Her embarrassment came in the fact that she wanted to stay on his lap.

Once the train stopped, she perked up, smiling all the more. Hopping up from the bench, she smiled over at Matthew, finally meeting his eyes once more. â??See you around! It was nice to catch up with you.â? She giggled happily before she was out of the car and swerving through the many other students to pounce upon one of her friends that had no room for her in the car. She giggled and began to walk out with them, happily chatting away.
