How far did you get in act 1?ohh, totally!!! if you show up to either hangout, you'll be welcome!!
barely past the tutorial and now in that crypt thingyyy where you find that skeleton guy!How far did you get in act 1?
got the brain. not sure about the sword. . . and the bandits left! And beat up the bandits there, or talk them into leaving on their own?
Also, what about the walking brain in the tutorial? Or the flaming sword from the tutorial boss? (Sheesh, there's so many things you can easily miss even there).
Got the brain permanently?got the brain. not sure about the sword. . . and the bandits left!
uhm, don't think so ??Got the brain permanently?
yes, probably not......ehhAnd the Illithid boss at the end, you can disarm it and the sword falls to the ground, and then you can sprint up and grab it and you get to keep it. It's one of the best swords early in the game. Great for any strength based class that can use two handed weapons. But, if you aren't sure then you almost certainly didn't get it. So....uh.....fun fact for next time I guess! lol
most of those are dead now, i think. and i have gale, astarion, shadowheart and lae'zelWhat about the bandits inside the temple? And which companions do you have yet?
Gotcha, so you've done some lookin' around. That's good. The brain can show up again later if you make sure it survives, but I don't want to spoil too much if you're just lookin' to go through the game organically your first time through. So, if you want me to shut up about what might be possible later then just say so lol.uhm, don't think so ??

i'm just taking it one step at a time for now, ehehh. i'm not that good at these games, and i'll admit it's already a looooot to take in!!Gotcha, so you've done some lookin' around. That's good. Oh for sure. I don't play BG3 as a min-max type who multiclasses and uses all the DnD mechanics to smash through the combat. But I'm a bit of a completionist about RPGs like this, so if there's vastly different ways to play, or cool puzzle-solving things that require you to do something exactly right along several steps and then in act 2 or 3 you get this cool little thing, then I'm like....dang.....I wanna do that!i'm just taking it one step at a time for now, ehehh. i'm not that good at these games, and i'll admit it's already a looooot to take in!!
No worries! Looking forward to it.![]()
you mean, so it'll take me 200 hours to get to act 2 instead of 100??I decided to make a fresh character to start over and remind myself of what's in Act 1 so I could be a better help.
I already found a bunch of things we should go back and get before moving on lol.
you can still play one of your other characters!!The absolute urge to play more is insane, but I don't want to get ahead of everyone.
Depends on how much of the game you want to see/can manage to succeed the rolls for! Sometimes you miss interesting stuff just because you fail a roll =/you mean, so it'll take me 200 hours to get to act 2 instead of 100??
well, i don't know what there is to explore in the first place. and my rolls.......... well, now that you told me to save before each one, i guess it'll be easier, eheh.Depends on how much of the game you want to see/can manage to succeed the rolls for! Though, I'll say quite a bit of the time I spend is in talking to companions because they often have new and interesting (at least to me) things to say after some event or big reveal happens or another companion joins....like Astarion's big reveal that he's a vampire spawn you just recently got. The other companions will now have a quick sentence or two to say about him to give their opinions, for example. It's meaningless as far as story goes, but I like that kind of stuff.
I also realized you missed being introduced to Auntie Ethel in the druid's grove! Gotta go back and see her.
Sometimes I fail and just shrug and go "Well, I guess I missed whatever I was supposed to notice there" because it obviously won't lead to anyone's death, and in BG3 I really like to stick to the character I've created and their class/personality should match. So, if a roll is really difficult because my Paladin just isn't that well versed in the Arcane (for example) then I don't mind failing a 15 dif roll just because my character probably wouldn't know whatever a successful roll would help them discover.well, i don't know what there is to explore in the first place. and my rolls.......... well, now that you told me to save before each one, i guess it'll be easier, eheh.
then we can go back!
Yeah, there's also the basement in the alchemist's shop in the village in act 1 that I just never found.....which means I never got the book in there or the quasit familiar.I think that the fun with BG3 is that you won't/can't experience everything the first time. I just stumbled on the hidden vault under the toll house. And this is my 4th playthrough!
Not like it's a huge secret, but still!
Fair point. It's worth doing before the goblin camp....that and getting Karlach. Not so much as 'go back' rather than 'do it' as she doesn't have Karlach.
