'Disclaimer: Most RPs on Blue Moon are quite serious; Revenue Protectors is going to be a completely unhinged and 'silly' RP, they'll be shootouts with sentient vending machines, gratuitous violence, and very little smut. If you're still interested, read on!'

This entire RP spawned from one video which I'll link down below. I've been wanting to write something completely off the wall and unhinged for a while now, an RP where the stakes are made up and the consequences don't matter. An RP where we're purely here to make each other laugh and entertain ourselves. No noble cause, no happy endings, just nonsensical shoot-outs, car chases and after parties until our characters die from slipping up on a banana or in a random traffic accident.
The RP itself will be slightly episodic in nature, we'll be responding to calls from the Libertaria Police Department (LPD) to respond to threats too big for them, these might be corporate experiments gone wrong, Vending machines that suddenly developed sentience or rogue corporate executives trying to run off with the latest receiepe for a new line of drinks. Essentially each player will take on a role of a corporate security official given orders to neutralize or deal with a threat, sometimes these stories sill be simple; roll up, get in a firefight and terminate the threat to corporate profits, others will be more investigation minded where you'll have to interact with wacky/insane NPC's in the world.
If all of that sounds like something you'd be interested in please have a look at the video to get the 'vibe' of the RP below and have a look at some of the requirements:
Setting: Cyberpunk-esque
Post Length: 200 – 800 words, depending on the post.
Style: 3rd person, present/past tense.
Posting frequency: 1 – 2 posts a week, more or less.
Player capacity: This is hard to say, this may end up being a larger RP but I'm inclined to cap it around 9/10
Character references: Anime-esque, cartoony, completely off the wall.
Smut: PM's only.
Duration: I don't know quite how long we'll carry this RP on for, but I've separated it into Acts so that we can take breaks between Act 1 and 2 etc.
If you're interested, please reach out to me via PM or comment down below, I'll be releasing character sheet templates in the following days (Most likely Sunday.)

In the distant, far future of 1997, within the city of Libertaria, crime is rampant. The protection of its citizens falls to the Libertaria Police Department (LPD) and the private corporations that funnel billions into government coffers every year.
Everything in this city has been privatised to the point where every dollar you spend goes straight into the pockets of mega-corps that will lobby more and more of your rights away. Failing to update your Samsung smart refrigerator? Fined. Driving above the speed limit in your rented car? Prison time… Caught stealing a loaf of bread from the supermarket? You'll receive a visit from the Revenue protectors.
Of course, the stripping of civil rights and slow degradation of the quality of life within the city has only grown resentment for the megacorporations and their greed; more and more people are turning to… Off-Brands, food, drink and products produced by rivals of the major corporations within the city, these are all illegal but since the government is in crippling amounts of financial debt, they barely have enough police to take these off-branded products from the streets, in the year 1995 the megacorporations stepped in to track down on these off-brand products and 'value' alternatives by creating the Loss Prevention Unit (LPU) and the Revenue Protectors…
The LPU is a massive collection of corporate goons and drones that constantly monitor the populace of Libertaria for possession and trading of off-market goods. If a citizen, robot, or vending machine is caught dealing in these goods, the LPU will dispatch Revenue Protectors to track them down and fine them. These dispatch calls usually end up in a firefight…

"The world needs people like me, I stand between order and chaos. And the bad guys are bad. And I'm like a wall between em... Uh... Fuck it." - Costco Fahrenheit
Each player will take on the role of a Revenue Protector (RPer) representing the largest corporations in the world and tasked with protecting their interests within Libertaria.
The Revenue Protectors (RP) are a team sent out by the Loss Prevention Unit (LPU) to reclaim revenue and punish those endangering corporate profits… All of the Revenue Protectors are sponsored by a corporation that they take the name of, such as Costco Fahrenheit, The Dollar General, Pornhub Premium… Etc. Each player will take on the role of one of these Revenue protectors tasked with keeping the streets clean and the money flowing.
The Revenue protectors think they're the most well-trained badasses on the streets of the city, with legal freedoms to enforce the will of the corporations to the extreme... They are the hands of some of the largest brands that you can think of, and they're coming if you so much as look at buying an off-brand appliance.

The soda syndicate are a collection of underground soda makers hiding with Libertaria's seedy underbelly, they've been brewing their own off-brand versions of Coca-Cola, Fanta, and all types of Dr.Pepper… The soda megacorporations Pepsi and Coca-Cola are understandably outraged that their customers are getting a better deal and more value out of these off-brands like Professor Peppy, Sinister Soda, and Tanta Orange.
The Revenue Protectors may have their toughest investigation yet, taking them across the vast wasteland of Libertaria's 'revenue desert' filled with citizens that can't afford to live in the branded accommodation within the city centre. But if it's to make sure Pepsi and Coca-Cola get their revenue back, they'll stop at nothing to bring these off-brand syndicate sodas to justice...
