History/Background:
Born in the city of Deepwater he moved to Helm's Hold at age 12 to become a Helm Cleric to protect civilization after loss. Protection, Duty, Devotion have been his creed, and was called to duty protecting the city's of the Sword Coast, but after many battles now 24 he finds himself enjoying healing.
His healing aspect during battle has come into conflict with his duties to protect. Healing is only needed when you have failed to fully protect. Also, after experiencing real life he's found simple protection of things to be insufficient as a faith. When asking Helm to be more nuanced and to help in complex theological thoughts he's gotten nothing. Protecting a soul is not the same as protecting a life.
