Rise of Darkness (Alvis & Malicious Lullaby)

"Ready is good. And I rested long enough I think." He said calmly. Flexing his hands. He didn't feel fully up to his best, but he knew why. He stretched himself thin, far thinner than he had in a very long time. He hadn't tried fighting out his weight class like that in what felt like ages. And now he was going to be stronger, able to wield more power. But he didn't know what his new limits would be. Still, it would be good to be able to get this trip settled, and get his damned tower back. And maybe find some way to get Ewyn a little peace and closure on everything that had happened. The ambient magic was still pouring through him, but it was a little mroe suited to another type of mage. He coud still use it to feed his own strength, just not as effectively. Ewyn was still so new to her power that she would be able to use any source of magic to replenish herself.

He waved a hand to the cottage, and it began to shrink. After a moment, the small glass cottage was sitting on the grass. He waved a hand, and the small thing floted to his hand. It was good to be able to indulge in simple cantrip spells again. After being so drained yesterday, he hadn't wanted to risk expending much more strength. He turned back to Ewyn.
"We'll make some headway today. And get that much closer to our goal. And we'll make thigns...well, as right as we can." He told her honestly.

“Good, good for you.” She said softly. He was probably not feeling at his best like he normally did and she wanted to help with that but she didn’t know how. Perhaps, simply continuing on in their adventure and getting to one of their destinations, hopefully in one piece, would be enough and hopefully help. It would mean he wouldn’t need to do anything extraneous and he could really let his energy and magical ability rest up and replenish. She was only a fledgling compared to him. She had so much to learn. And if he wasn’t at his best, or moderately enough, then she didn’t know what she could do or how it would make anything better. She didn’t want to think she was nothing without Master Gall but at this point, since she was only a student, she was nothing without him.

Ewyn watched as he shrunk the cottage and a small smile came to her face. Ah, magic. She’d never tire of it or its wonders. Looking back to her teacher, she nodded her head. “Lead the way Master Gall. I want to go home.” Home, being the tower, his tower. “And the sooner we resolve all this, the sooner we can.” She said softly. “Shall we?”
