Plot #3 - Medieval Fantasy/Knights Templar? - Romance? Rituals? Potential for darker, non-con oriented routes.
YC is a practised paladin or mage, working under ambiguous authority as something of a ‘clean-up agent.’ In a world where magic is generally feared, his days are spent repairing magical disasters, stabilising anomalies, and rooting out groups and individuals who are misusing magic or delving into the forbidden depths of knowledge.
One particular outing leads him to a hive of necromantic sorcerers who have accidentally unleashed a pit of hellfire across the surrounding area. Clean-up aside, YC is concerned by the ritualistic paraphernalia painted across the walls, and eventually finds MC hidden away in a lockbox amidst the wreckage.
MC is everything you’d expect a demoness to not be; shivering, frail, and terribly frightened. She cannot bring herself to speak or move, and beholds YC as one might perceive a monster. It is clear to YC that she is of succubae descent, albeit a rather pathetic example when compared to the prime of her species, given she has never once ‘fed,’ nor is she in touch with the nuances of her inherent abilities. It is likely that she was used as a conduit for necromantic rituals before YC’s arrival.
Though YC’s origin implores him to resent hellborn creatures, the feeling of pity takes center stage, imploring him to pluck her from her imprisonment and have her at his side until he decides how best to deal with her.
Strangely, their time together proves her usefulness. Despite her fragility and apparent identity crisis, she has the remarkable ability to sense and nullify magic, as well absorb unstable mana into her person. She becomes acutely attached to YC over time, displaying a sharp sense of protectiveness over his well-being and throwing herself into dire confrontations in his defence.
