Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone else here multitasks while RPing (i.e. reading or replying)?

Personally, I do. I find it helps me to focus (it seems counterproductive, I know, but it works for me) and can put me in the state of mind I am looking to achieve when crafting a reply. I will usually do one of two things:
1) Listen to music
2) Have a show playing in the background for the white noise.


If you also multitask, what do you do?
 
A complicated, deeply researched post might require like, absolute silence ;)

I generally have music on. I can also check on my FB in between paragraphs.
 
I find it hard to do something like listening to music while working on a post, I admit.
 
Seems I'm the only person who pressed No. I do not multitask. I write where it's quiet and uneventful as it helps me focus. When I'm in the zone, I can easily throw out a 1000 word post in like 9 minutes on a good day. Sometimes multiple, back to back, as long as I'm undisturbed.
 
I almost always listen to music. It helps me to focus my mind and keeps the ringing in my ears under control.
