Jenny had finished her freshman year of college with flying colors, didn't do anything stupid, didn't spend her weekends in drunken hazes. Somehow seemed to stay popular with certain groups. It was almost the opposite of high school where she barely got by, and was either lived or hated... now she just got treated well.

Second day of a history class and she heard the teacher decide that everyone was getting paired up. She rolled her eyes. Everyone was given a piece of paper, an assigned seat, and the person sitting next to them are to be there partners for the project. She got her piece of paper, and staled for a moment as she put her hair up and grabbed her bag and walked over to the seat.

She smiled at him, he looked kind of familiar, but she didn't think she had had any classes with him before. But he was a bit cute, and seemed to have a friendly face. “Hi, I'm Jenny, I guess you're my partner.”

Jason was a bit of a more geeky kid; while he knew he wasn't a stereotype, he knew that status held its own weight of issues. He was called upon for a lot of chemistry homework, as that was a topic he found himself rather proficient in. While the other subjects in school didn't interest him that much, he was still successful, the only class he had less than an A grade in being this class, History, and even then it was only a B, nothing like an F or anything. He was one to believe that the past was the past, and there was nothing you could do to change that. Chemistry, though, chemistry was more or less all about change when you broke it down (no pun intended). Changing one component of a particular element caused it to become another element entirely, and the sort of experimentation that came with the field had intrigued the young man.

He was currently scribbling away in a notebook, the page already relatively filled with chemical formulae as he continued to hash out one particular experiment he had been working on at home. Nothing crazy, he was just trying to think up a tonic to help shy individuals become more comfortable in their own skin. While a lot of college kids would immediately give them alcohol, that beverage had added downsides, like hangovers and side effects not lining up with the goal of confidence. He was thinking it was a simple task of one particular piece of it acting strangely, but he was so close...

It was at this point that he was interrupted in his scribbles by Jenny, who had apparently been assigned his partner for this History project. He smiled as she introduced himself, nodding his head a bit. He wore a pair of glasses on his face, not particularly typical of a nerd, as he had aimed for a more sleek design, and he pushed them up the bridge of his nose before he spoke, almost comically. "Hello. Names Jason." His voice wasn't nasally at all; in fact, it was rather deep, and sounded more akin to a muscle bound athlete as opposed to a science geek. "So, partners, eh? What's the topic we have?"

Clearly he was less than interested int he class which made her a little sad since she loved history. She was surprised by his voice, it certainly did not match his body type. he introduced himself and asked about the assignment.

She shrugged her shoulders, but her face showing annoyance a his lack of attention, "The rise of the matriarchy starting in the 18th century continuing thought the twenty-first century and how it will subjugate the male patriarchy by the mid twenty-second century..."

She paused for a moment to observe his reaction and smiled, "Just kidding, its on the Romans architecture and specifically why their concrete was so good and even better than the concrete we have today."

Jason was somewhat amazed at how articulate his partner was in speech, and it was clear that she was heavily interested in the subject, similar to how he was very deeply interested in chemistry. he gave her the attention a woman so devoted to a topic deserved, with that in mind. He smiled a bit at her joke, and heard the actual subject that the pair of them were working on...and it actually had his interest. "That...sounds like a fun project to work on, actually."

Immediately, he turned to a new page in his notebook and started to write down ideas for why this would be the case. "Chemistry is something I am incredibly into, after all." He looked up from his writings, and smiled a bit. "So, would you want to meet up at some point to discuss this further?" He didn't truly know if it was odd of him to ask that, but based off the fact that the two of them were assisting one another on a project, he figured it would be okay.

She listened to him, "great i suck at chemistry, but I'm better at the history side... I mean i understand they used lime, volcanic ash which has a reaction to the sea water which dissolved some stuff to make crystals of ammonium stuff which made it so that things that would harm modern concrete like exposure to heat or sea water actually made it stronger..." she shrugged, "so I understand the basic parts of it, but I'm clueless to the actual reaction type stuff..."

She sat down next to him, "but sure I'd like to meet up with you. Did you have any place in mind?"

Jason listened to her rattle off why it was they had lasted so long, and he scribbled down each of the ingredients of the Ancient Roman's concrete that he heard. "Lime and volcanic ash...definitely interesting..." He murmured this a bit to himself as he scratched out some of his previous formulas that did not match up with the new ingredients, and the work ahead of him caused him to sigh.

He heard her ask where the two of them could meet up, and he looked towards her. Without thinking, he replied automatically. "We can meet up at my place..." he scribbled down his address and ripped off that corner of his notebook paper...and then realized what he had just done.

She reached out and took the paper. "Oh I know this area. It's near the park where i go running."

She opened up her cell phone and took av picture of the part and handed it back to him. "Sure, i can be there, but i have some errands to run first, how about 6 ish?"

Jason didn't hear her when she said she knew that area; he was too busy freaking out that he had just invited a stranger into his home, where he was still working on experiments! he took the piece of paper back from her though, his mind racing as he tried to think up a plan of some sort to avoid complications between Jenna and his work. "yeah, sure, 6-ish sounds okay..." Today, history was his final class, and because of that he was able to have plenty of time between now and when Jenna would arrive to think of something.

The rest of the class was uneventful, and the instructor eventually released everybody from his grasp. Jason smiled at Jenna wearily. "See you around 6 then." he waved and then rushed out to his car, starting it up and taking the short drive home, his mind still whirring the whole way there. When he did arrive, and he didn't have a plan, he decided that the likelihood of Jenna exploring was low, so he could afford not locking doors or anything while she was here. That was rude, and besides, typically guests didn't enter a stranger's bedroom without permission.

So, he went up to that bedroom, trying to perfect his formula once more. He was so close...he just needed the right bit of change to occur, and that was his biggest roadblock so far!

She found out amusing that he seemed flustered that she accepted his proposal. He agreed to her time and as class was over ran off.

She half pictured him having a hoarders bedroom and rushing home to clean it up for the lady coming for a visit.

She left the classroom and went to work. She didn't actually need to work, but she was behind on a project and wanted to get ahead. When she was done, she went home and hour her running bag and through it in her car and made her way to Jason's house.

She walked up the walkway and ring the for bell. She was about twenty minutes early, but that wouldn't be too early. She would have called, but he left before they could exchange numbers.

Jason heard the doorbell ring and groaned, taking a look at his watch. She was twenty minutes early...while he was one to applaud punctuality, now was not the time for it. He walked out of his room and down the stairs to his front door and opened it, seeing Jenna on the other side. "Hi there, Jenna! Come in, come in."

He stepped aside so his partner could enter his home and shut the door behind him. "Now, did you need something to eat?" he had bought snacks for the long haul this was going to be.

"she smiled as she entered, "Jenny, Jason... not Jenna." She smiled and winked to show she wasn't particularly bothered by it. But she didn't exactly have a porn stars name either.

She heard him shut the door, "umm.." she thought, "I'm not especially hungry at the moment, but do you have anything to drink?"

"Jenny...right..." He mentally smacked himself for not remembering her name correctly, and heard her question about if there was something to drink. He sighed, and thought for a moment. "We have some water in the kitchen. Go ahead and wait in my room upstairs." He was pretty sure he had cleaned up all his stuff...besides, people usually didn't drink random drinks.

"thanks." She said as she walked into the kitchen and took a glass and poured herself some water. She sneered a bit at it, when she saw the water was a bit off. She poured it out, and then saw a package of water bottles and shook her head at her own silliness. She walked up to his room and say down on the chair next to his computer and placed her bottle of water on the desk. She opened up her hone while she was waiting for him.

He watched as she took the water bottle, and he eventually found what he was looking for: the notebook from the class, where he had scribbled the forumlae for the Roman concrete. Nodding his head, he grabbed his own bottle of water and walked up to his room, seeing her on the chair, and noticed her water by his computer...which was also next to the bottle holding his experiment. His blood turned to ice, but he didn't say anything.

"So...uh...what should we go over?" It was clear that something was causing him issues, but he decided the project was more important. His eyes frwquently darted over to the bottle filled with the experiment, trying to find a time to dispose of it.

"Well I have an article that we can use as our jumping off point." Jenny flipped through a notebook and pulled out a small article she had read. And handed it over to Jason. She reached over and took a swig of her water. and put it back down again waiting for him to read through it, "I was thinking you could do all the science-geek stuff how the actual science behind this works, and i could hit some of the more geographical parts of it."

She grabbed her bottle again and took a more in. an then her eyes opened up as she realized it wasn't water. She coughed, as she put it down... "Oh god. that's horrible..." she stuck her tongue out... "Wait, i don't think I feel so good.. I.. I... I ..... I......." And she just seemed to relax a bit and stare ahead.

(ooc:https://www.theguardian.com/science...ill-stands-strong-while-modern-version-decays I had actually just read this article when I announced our topic, lol)

((OOC: How oddly convenient. xD))

Jason looked at the article that was being shown to him and grinned to himself. Finally, he had all the pieces that he would need to write a comprehensive piece on this topic. he then heard her say that she would take up the geography side of things, and that made the geek clap his hands together in happiness. "Perfect! So we can get started on this right away, then!"

He heard her cough and turned. It was normal for people to breathe as they were taking a drink of water, and their bodies naturally reacted by coughing to get the foreign stuff out of the lungs. "You okay? Take some water down the wrong pipe?" He chuckled a bit, probably a bit more proud of that than he should be...and then she stated that she didn't feel all that well. He furrowed his brows, looking at her bottle of water...and then saw that it was the liquid in his experiment that was moving from the contact, not her water. He panicked, naturally. It was an accident, but in it's current state, he wasn't sure what the effect of consumption would be. It didn't help that soon after she had taken a drink of that mixture she stared dead ahead, relaxed and relatively still. Jason took that to mean catatonic, and he stood up from his chair, walking in front of his project partner and snapping his fingers in front of her face to snap her out of it.

"Hey, Jenny! Come on, you still there?" He was beginning to be worried now, thinking that the current mixture was deadly acidic, and was currently dissolving her insides like they were nothing.

Jenny stared ahead. he snapped his fingers in front of her, and she did not respond. She wasn't aware that she was supposed to respond to snapping fingers. She wasn't aware of anything. She sat there, not even aware of the drool running down her chin.

Jason seemed more intense, but Jenny wasn't really aware o what she should do to react to him. Then she heard her name, she eyes looked up, everything was so bright, not that she understood at the moment that her eyes were dilated... glassy... "I am here...." her voice low, but answering the question she was asked.

Jason saw the dilation in her pupils and swore under his breath, grabbing his notebook and scribbling down what he saw. "Her eyes are glassy...pupils dilated..." He saw the drool dripping down her chin, and he wiped it away. "Lack of control over saliva...seems brain dead..." But then, she responded to her name, so she wasn't entirely brain dead either. His mind raced as he chewed on the end of his pencil, trying to think of everything he knew. All he changed was one simple ingredient...before the mixture made the person who had consumed the mixture totally unresponsive for a minute or two...

A brief thought entered his brain, and he raised his eyebrows. "Maybe a semi-hypnotic state?" He never believed in such stuff, always thinking that the person was simply hired to act like they did, but...then again, science has shown some weird things before that seemed unlikely. So, he turned to Jenny, and decided to test his theory. "Hey, Jenny...could you fold your arms for me?" This 'command' seemed harmless enough, to the point that if she did it it likely would not harm her.

She heard him saying things but it didn't really register. he was writing notes. Then asked her if she could fold her arms. it seemed lie a harmless enough of a question. "Yes..."

(ooc : I wouldn't say that was much of a 'command' at all :p lol)

((OOC: Escalation my friend. :) or at least a bad attempt at it. xD ))

Jason nodded his head, though knew that wasn't so much a command as much as it was a suggestion. Well, at least if he knew anything, this current mixture could be sold to fraud hypnotists for some money. Shrugging his shoulders, he chuckled, looking back to his notes. "Okay...now...hmmm...."

He put his fingers up to his chin, tapping. He didn't want to ruin this opportunity...but he had been without sex for quite a while, ever since that girl he met was thinking him to be too kind to her in the sack. What an odd thing...but he supposed that there was only one way to understand the true implications of this state of mind Jenny was in. "Alright, Jenny...I want you to listen to me very carefully...when I, and only I, say the word 'slut,' I want you to obey my commands. Does that make sense?" He was new to this; again, hypnosis was something he found hokey and fake, and while this was a chemical imbalance in her brain, it was still not something he was used to, and it sounded to him like he was trying to set up his voicemail, for Christ's sake.

He said a few words and maid sounds that meant nothing to Jenny.

But then he said her name again, an her face slowly moved to look at him, she listened to him... and then she answered, "yes. When you say 'slut' I obey our commands." She continued to stae at him, as i waiting for more, but in truth she just hadn't been told to look anywhere else. it had been nearly five minutes, and she found herself do something she hadn't done, she blinked. though her conscious mind was still asleep, but perhaps not for much longer.

Jason was amazed at how this had worked out. His formula made the consumer open to suggestion! He laughed a bit, and then cleared his throat. He had to set one last thing up before she went out of this state. "Alright then...slut...when I pinch your cheek, you will fall asleep and not remember anything that will happen. If there is evidence, you accept it immediately. Do you understand?"

She nodded her head, "Yes... I understand..." She blinked again, "Pich my cheek and I will fall asleep and not remember anything I do. if there is evidence, i will accept it."

"Alright...and to test this out..." Jason smiled and stood, walking forward and pinching her right cheek. And then, he watched, looking to see if his command would be followed. He didn't know how good of an actor he would be, but he was damn sure that his skill of it would be put to the test when she woke up.

He said something about testing it out. And reached over an pinched her cheek.

Her eyes fluttered a bit.. Jenny was laying on the bed that was in front of her, she didn't even remember laying down. She saw him, "sorry I didn't realize how tired I was."
