Safi was the age of eighteen and demands were becoming tighter and tighter on her for her father ruled over the sky. Though she had everything anyone might want at her beck and call her father told her how to live her life. Today was no different it was after all her birthday, and she was to have a barbarian as a pet as tradition supposedly said for one such as her. Already paid for just the whole you got to pick out a male had her uneasy. Now she sat in a shuttle on her way to buy her first barbarian, which she supposed her father just wanted her to buy, so he could demand it breed or something like that. Raising her right hand, she brushed a wayward golden-brown curl from her face. She looked at herself in the window of the shuttle at her curly golden brown hair with actual gold hair mixed in her silver eyes stared back.

Safi wore a short silk dress with leather straps also having pearls as decoration, silk leggings, and high heels. The shuttle stopped, and she stepped out onto a landing standing 5'7" walking toward sliding doors people bowed their heads already knowing who she was. "I am here to pick a pet out I would like a male." with that said people scattered one male still bowed addressed her "As you wish Lady Safi if you would just follow me?" With a heavy sigh, she followed behind the male dressed in all white. "Do you have many males or just a few? I, after all, don't want to waste my time if you just have one." though it was untrue, it was not a waste of time she just wanted to get the picking over with though if she found a guy to her liking then it is a wonderful thing indeed. "My lady you are in luck we just have gotten a large catch today all males."

Jonas slammed his elbow into the face of one of the guards that was escorting the group of men along one of the hallways. The man's face exploded in blood as the brutal warrior shattered the man's nose in a instant. The large ruddy warrior threw himself at the partner of the guard he had just stunned, his larger size making it easier to bare the guard to the ground. That was when the cuffs on his wrists activated and he knew that it had been coming. He held onto the man's face under him as arcs of lightening passed between his wrists making the large warrior tense and sending pain shooting up his arms, but it also passed down into the guard he was holding.

The pair arched in pain at the feeling of the massive shock running through them both and in moments it was shut off. It had been the reaction the large brown haired warrior had been hoping for. He had been able to take the stunning force of the cuffs but the guard had passed out. The other guards that were still on their feet had shut off the cuffs to try and save their friend but now they had to find a way to subdue the barbarian warrior. Jonas stood a little shaky on his feet as he looked around at his fellow warriors, they had all been taken when their vilage had been attacked and Jonas and his men had stayed behind to fight long enough to let the women and elders escape.

All around him guards gathered and the large well built warrior narrowed his eyes as he glared at him. With a war whoop he rushed at them and tackled two knocking them to the ground as their partners rushed him from the sides. They came at him with batons that weren't wielded well but they had built in shock prods. The half dozen guards still standing jammed their stun batons into his sides and back. The multiple points of impact had the desired effect, the world went black for a moment as he fell to the floor.

When he came to his senses the brown haired warrior had his arms restrained behind him by three guards and was being lifted up to his feet. Somewhere in the struggle Jonas had lost his loincloth which had been the only thing he had been wearing and now he was totally naked as he was being forced to line back up to be shown off to a buyer. He was by far the strongest and most physically impressive of the warriors there all looks strong but something in his eyes spoke not just of strength but also of knowledge and experience on how to use it well, as several guards had learned just a moment ago.

Nodding as she walked down the hallway with the center's male attendant. "Good I expected the best out of this center since it is the only one who sells barbarians as pets." in all, the whole fact was barbarians were humans in a way as well as the civilized people. It was the fact the outbreak made part of the human race one way and the other another way. Civilized people lived in the sky while barbarians lived on the ground, there were also other mark differences between them.

The attendant who was walking with her his hair was black turned his head touching his right ear as his dark green eyes had looked at her. "There has been a slight attempt at escape so you will probably see blood on one of the males. None of them has been trained as pets, I do hope you brought a collar with you. Or perhaps one of the guards can go with you on your way home tells you to put one on."A smile grew on her face as she tapped her wrist showing a small silver thing wrapping around it. "Oh, I have a collar the latest in design you have no need to worry about me. My father made sure I had one before I picked a pet. I also figured one I would choose would not be trained." The attendant nodded and walked on she followed behind to tell the reached a door that slid open and there is where all the barbarians stood in a line.

Safi walked up seeing one by one each different from the one before. But only one stood out one that was completely naked. Her feet had not stopped as she now stood in front of the brown hair naked barbarian. "This one is the one I pick to have him ready and in my shuttle, I will sign the necessary forms. If you, have to put him to sleep to get him in the shuttle do so." she turned to let herself gain control after she saw this male that was it. Her heart had fluttered and she had felt faint.

The large warrior pulled slightly at the restraints on his wrist and winced at the pain coming from the lightening coming from them. He sneered at the guard and got another cuff across the mouth for it before he spat out blood. The door opened on the other side of the room from where they have been brought in. His eyes turned looking on the female that came in from the other room alongside a dark haired man. None of the barbarians had ever escaped from the Sky people in all of his knowledge so he had no idea what was going on. However having looked over cattle before in his life he could tell when he was being sized up like a animal. The thought made him glare at the woman in his most menacing way but she seemed unconcerned in any way about him.

His bright amber eyes looked over the woman in front of him finding her rather pleasing to the eye, from her well shaped face and bright eyes down over the curves that he had a chance to glance at as she walked away. The guards came over to him after she had started to head back out to take care of the paper work and one of them nudged his arm. The large barbarian growled and made as if to attack the one that nudged him. All three around him jumped back two pulling metal rods with some form of handle on them. Before he start chuckling at his joke having done it merely to scare them two small puffs of air were heard and he felt sharp pricks at his skin one on his arm and the other on his back. The world suddenly took a rather weird wavy look and seemed to tilt in weird ways. The floor moved up and hit him on the back of the head as he fell on one of the guards and passed out before they started working to get him into the shuttle. The sedative wouldn't last long just long enough to get him loaded into any cage or restraints she wanted him in and make sure everything was settled before he started to wake.

Not once did she let herself be fazed by the blood she had seen. Nor when the barbarian she picked out glare at her not even a flinch came. No, she knew barbarians hated and despised her kind. He was a fine looking male she deemed well fit, muscular, to those thoughts drowned out at the sound of noises behind her. A growl and then her head turned to see what was happening behind her. The attendant tapped a screen "Here my lady just sign on the screen. And don't worry about the barbarian your pet he will sleep for a while at least."

Safi nodded already knowing what was to be expected it was not the first time she had seen someone buy a pet. "Of course" she turned her head back to the screen which held the purchase rights and all so she read it for a moment before she wrote her name with her left finger in a flourish " I would hope they did not damage my property too much while transporting him to my shuttle or I will hold you responsible for my pet's punishments and any harm should be coming from me since the time I had said I wanted him." with those words she turned and headed to her shuttle where she would collar her new pet. She walked on to tell she stepped into the lush shuttle where she saw her pet already put in a cage. Her head turned toward the guards "That is all I can handle him now" she watched the guards get off her shuttle before the doors closed behind them.

The world swam before his eyes as he felt the drugs they had used flushing out of his system. There was one thing to be said for the barbarian tribes they had good constitutions and could shake off most poisons and the like without issue. He saw the bars slowly coming into focus as he jerked his head to one side hearing the door clicking shut. There was a rush of adrenaline as he jerked awake feeling the drug purge from his mind in a flash as he looked around the cabin where he was locked into a chair and cage designed for taking him wherever it was that his people went when captured. His eyes settled on the woman that was clearly now his capturer looking over her slowly as his hands gripped the bars twisting them slightly seeing how strong they were. There was little he could do to get out at this point but he wanted to know what held him as they flew working their way across the sky to wherever it was she was taking him.

Primitive was a word that ran through her head as she turned her head and looked at the male. That was all she was taught since she was little these people were nearly worthless. Walking over her heels clipped the metal floor next to the cage the male was in. She saw he was already strapped down to a metal chair. She felt sorry he had to be in there like that for a moment before she badgered herself remembering she could and should not ever show such emotion toward the barbarian or let anyone see she might care. Safi had raised her hand seeing his eyes open knowing he might be coming to. "I am your owner. You do as I say or what my father wishes for you to do. You will be well treated if you comply and do well. If not then you will be punished."

Safi took her arm and ran a finger over her silver bracelet letting it stretch it changed on contact. "This is your collar" she explained as it grew with her pulling it. Her eyes met his as she then pressed a button on the cage holding the collar since he was strapped down seeing the cage slide open a moment. Leaning forward she slipped the silver collar around his neck. "I have control over that collar so you know and think you can get away it won't happen"

Jonas looked at her as she walked in front of him and then spoke. His ancient tongue wasn't the best but he was able to trade with it as it had been the trade language of his people since well before his father's father's father had been born. If myth was to be believed it came from before even the skypeople took to their cities leaving those on the ground to do as they would. He watched as the door opened and the female reached in slipping the collar over his neck and settling it in place. "You people always do like your toys don't you?" The large man growled softly, his voice deep and smooth despite the soft rumble in his chest the slightly threatening overtone to his words. "I assume this is how you plan to keep me in check, since after all I am...how do you say it...a barbarian?"

The large man had already proved how resistant he was to the lighting cuffs the guards had been using, not to mention their not to mention their sticks that shot out lighting it had taken several of them to bring him to his knees. "Tell me skywoman why is it that your kind feel a need to control and dominate other creatures and the world?"

Safi's silver eyes gazed long and hard on her new pet. When he spoke the ancient language back at her. It came to no surprise he knew and could speak the language. How different they both were he was different than her and she was different from him much of their kind was changed in the past because of an outbreak that affected many or so the story was told. " My people's as you call them 'toys' have kept us protected for years as well as they have done many other things. By the way, did I call you a barbarian? No, I have yet to call you that. Though many of as you call sky people call your kind barbarians. "Maybe the 'toy ' as you call it I put on you is more for show?" She moved her face closer to his her lips were so close they nearly touched his. "Why you ask do we feel the way we do to dominate and control others. Why ask me?"

She could not help herself she planted a kiss right on his lips. No emotion came to tell her lips had touched his warm and soft lips brushed his. She pulled back her breath hitched, her heartbeat had fluttered in response to her kiss. "Tell me why do your people call mine sky people? Just because we live in the sky? It does seem a very barbaric way to name us." she stepped back. "I believe if you were to be free you would wreak havoc and I can not have havoc. Can you promise to behave? Maybe I then will promise not to dominate and break your spirit it would be too cruel"

Jonas had to grant her that point, she herself had not said those words, in fact she was treating him a great deal differently than most of the skypeople he had met. He had to grant also that he had not met many of her people either so it was a bit unfair to judge them all so harshly though his experiences had not been the most encouraging. "You was meant more to include your people not a personal attack my dear. " He arched his eyebrow slightly as the questions continued, "you are the first of your kind to speak to me rather than around me. So why not ask you?" It was rhetorical and didn't need a reply especially when a moment later she kissed him. He blinked a bit shocked at the sudden action that in his people meant a lot more then he felt behind her lips. He arch an eyebrow again at her still trying to figure her out. "In our language we call you gu h-Ă rd na daoine, a closer translation would be perhaps, Above people. In more the sense of above others or haughty. We like to think calling you Skypeople in the ancient tongue a bit more respectful. As for your request for a promise, give me a reason I should. Your people have abducted me, taken me from my home and killed many of my family and friends in the process. Why shouldn't I return the favor?"

"Really it sounded like an attack against me. You do not seem to know everything. Do you know of the past why our people separated? You have no clue what it is like for..." her words had died off for a moment " Your people have done the same to ours captured, killed, stolen no one seems to know what you do to our kind only one has made it back saying you dominate over our kind as well. But he said it was more barbaric what your people did so many believe him. You ask me why you should not do the same?"

She turned and walked away from him taking a deep breath. "I should not have promised anything" she knew who was behind the deaths of barbarians though it was supposed to be against the law her own father was the answer to the problem. He had always got away with breaking the laws because he was the law his friends were no different and now she had a man that she actually was attracted to but he was not her kind. Her father would want to breed the strong male with an animal so she could not promise what she had. "You do as you think is best if you survive what is in store for you. The place you were at was mild compared to what will happen to you"

Jonas blinked at her raising an eyebrow slightly, the poor female must have been under a large amount of stress. She seemed to be changing moods rather suddenly, and he wondered what it was that had made her do so. Was it all skypeople that were this mercurial? He sighed softly and then shook his head, "Alright I promise!" He looked back at her over his shoulder. "Yes I admit there are things that we do that are not unlike your people. At least from the outside. But look it seems liek you at least are a decent person. Now come let us see if we can put aside these years of mistrust at least for a bit and figure out if a skyperson and a barbarian can get along." He was trying to smooth things over a bit as it seemed his lack of agreement had shut her down a bit so he was trying to see if he could open back up this dialog they had going before.

It was too late for his promise or so she believed maybe just maybe she could help this one male compared to all the others she had not been able to. " As I said I can not keep my earlier promise I will be telling and demanding you to do things. But it will only be done in front of someone unlike now. I can treat you like a person instead of a pet or animal. " she turned and looked at him. "Decent is not a word I would use if I were you to describe me. What you wish for can only happen on the ground where you live mistrust and hate go hand in hand here. I can not trust you and you must not trust me." she hoped he understood where she was heading with what she said.

With a sigh, she shook her head. The ship lurched as it came to a stop. "Here is where we get off you will live in my room in a cage on the floor naked unless I want you chained next to my bed sleeping naked beside me" Her silver eyes dropped to the collar around his neck "Remember what I said when people see us you are my pet nothing more when no one is around then and only then we might get along." she walked over to his chair he was strapped to and said one word. "Clasha" which had then made several sounds as it released him from the straps. "I can't go in without making you leashed someone would see and I would be forced to explain" she waited for him to stand "You can fight me on your way there if you wish but I would have to punish you"

He watched her listening to her still wondering what it was that changed bout her what she was so sure about that things had changed from one moment to the next. He tilted his head slightly to one side as she spoke his amber eyes looking into her silver ones before she dropped her eyes a little. "You want me to play a pet and submissive little toy in public." His eyes settled back on hers as she uttered the word that released his bonds and he paused only a moment. His hand flashed up landing on her throat not squeezing or striking but just grabbing and holding her with just a little pressure to make sure she felt his large hand that easily held her. "You know your world, I will accept this as the best way to survive. But we will discuss and define out private relationship at some point soon. That word you just used, Clasha? When you know we are alone and we may speak as equals use that word."

His hand released her throat but his amber eyes stayed on her silver ones for a moment more before he lowered them and lifted his chin. His entire body language changed the proud defiant hold to his head and shoulders was gone, now he slumped slightly his eyes kept down and not looking at her and the only reason he raised his chin was to let her leash him. He understood the submissive pet role he had seen many of his fellow warriors broken and turned into it that he had learned to mimic it when needed.

He either understood or he did not maybe she was too nice she was not made or born like many sky people who dominated. No, she was cut from a different cloth or one might have said that. Nor would she have fit in with the barbarians for they seemed little different in the dominance area. Could she fake it like the best of them be haughty and dominate? Yes, she could. " I said that after a while I expect you to do so if not well then as I said my promise I made will vanish I will make demands and dominate you" She watched him stand then and fear gripped her as his warm hand grabbed her neck squeezing a little. She stood not sure if she should use the collar to make him let her go or not she listened instead.

When he released her and dropped his shoulders his whole body changed that from proud warrior to a submissive broken male had been instant. " Not now it's not safe not after you had beaten those guards I bought you from they would think I killed you or nearly on the trip here and you have not that many marks on you. Yes, I know this world better than you and Clasha is a word that translated to release in the old language that I speak to you now in. I will explain about it later." she slipped the leash on "Act drugged that way it's better " she waited and hit the shuttle door button with her hand as it slid open. In front of them, both were a house shining from the sun hitting the silver and floating with a paved walkway they were landed on.

The large dark haired barbarian shifted a little as he listened to her taking his stance a bit different one that was used to being beaten and abused. But still had a little defiance in him. She had a point that after the fire he had shown it would be strange for him to be so submissive already. At her comment on being drugged he quirked his eyebrow slightly and then let his eyelids droop down and his mouth hang open slightly. He was actually a very good actor when it came to understanding posture and facial expression. On the ground he had been one of the truth finders, one that would be able to read people in a way that told them if they were lying or not. Being able to read people made it easier to mimic different emotions and states. He just hope she had understood that he had meant Clasha as a pass phrase for when they were alone since he wouldn't be sure when it was safe.

He adjusted quickly and was very good at acting she had to keep this thought to herself. It was to be noted maybe she should study him while he lived with her. Once he had looked drugged she moved outside on the pavement the gold in her hair shined from the sun hitting it. Her brown curls bounced with her steps as she held the leash pulling him along. Clacking was heard from her high heels as they hit the ground. Then she stopped at her front door moving her face to a scanner. Before a beep was heard and the doors slid open.

Safi had walked in the well-furnished home noticing that it was empty but she decided for a security check " Run test 3982 Lafita" her voice said in a smooth tone in her own language. A few moments went by before a light male voice reported back "House counts two people are accounted for" Her head turned and she had made the front door close behind the barbarian. Safi looked outside seeing the shuttle was gone and no one else was about before saying. "Clasha" she had then took the leash and unfastened it from the barbarians neck.

Jonas followed her on the leash walking slowly with languid steps just keeping pace with her but allowing the leash to tug a little from time to time like he had to be reminded to keep moving forward. The act that he was putting on was rather well done, the shuffling slow steps of one that was so out of it because of a drug, the slightly dumbfounded look. As they came into her house and then she spoke to someone that he couldn't see, he had heard some about this, the idea of a person that was there but wasn't real it seemed so strange to him.

As she spoke the word he blinked and then stood up straighter and looked around the room they were in slowly taking in their surroundings. The home seemed lavish and adorned with much that was beyond the needs of even a family living there. He suppressed that judgement knowing he had no place making such assumptions for another people. "We are alone I take it?"

"We are very much alone. Now you wished to talk right?" she said as he straightened then asked if they were alone. She walked toward a couch and gestured. "Sit if you like, stand if you want, I prefer sitting." she looked a the windows and sighed "House make the windows so only the inside can see outside and the outside can not see in" Safi bent forward and then sat down crossing her legs. "You have questions I have answers so let's get to it, shall we?"

Her eyes met his as she sat on the comfortable couch."Or maybe I should just tell you how it will be when people are around? You seemed curious about the fact I had not demanded or dominated you. Would you like to know why?"
