Ever since their efforts to save the World Tree, the Descender has achieved in defeating the corrupt forces of destruction, negativity and chaos. It seemed that the world had achieved peace, calm and overall, no sense of danger remained in the realm of the world tree. Nothing could possibly come to change that... would it? Many heroes have gone off on their own travels, finding themselves, settling scores with their rivals, making new friends. The Descender of the world had joined with the tree, sleeping and waiting... but, turn back the clock, there lies an opportunity to rewrite history as one knows it.

In amongst the many who fought, a former mercenary that was exceptionally gifted in his combat abilities, and his small group of allies... they sought out a greater power; with peace returned, their abilities were no longer required... and without required services, they cannot hope to keep things together. That is... until the leader of this band got his hands on the fabled sword of legend; the True Eternal Sword, a weapon of Origin while capable of manipulating the very fabric of space and time, and able to grant its wielder any wish they desire. The man who took up the sword, said this for his wish...

"...Turn back the clock, build a world of my vision; no Descender to ruin my living, all the riches we will ever need, all the power... to become like a god!"

On this wish being made, the very fabric of time and space was torn asunder, history re-written... a world of darkness. The former mercenary became a king and god-like tyrant over his new world, becoming its own descender in the process. There was a flaw in his wish; while he wished for no descender to rise against him, the guild, Ad Libitum, remained, and its ship, the Van Elita, to travel the world without issue, seemingly allied to the tyrant to the public eye, but in private, they were against his rule. They could not oppose him openly, however, for the people would surely side with their ruler. They must seek to win over the people in performing many tasks across the world, to have them stand up against him, and reclaim the True Eternal Sword to remove the effects of his wish, though an eye is always watching them...

So, this is a sort of 'Tales of' series group RP; it might be big-scale if enough people join, might be small if only a handful of others join. Essentially, the rules apply to the 'Tales of the World' games, that this is a crossover of all the games into one, so you'll be seeing characters from Tales of Destiny having conversations with Tales of Symphonia or Abyss characters, and so forth. There will be opportunities to spar with one another, monsters to slay, and of course, a big-bad to try and overthrow. Characters will be divided by their respective games, but it is strongly encouraged for characters of different series to work together. The rules are as follows...

-------------------------------------------------------

1. 3 characters per series - Though the original games have allowed all, or at least, most of their roster for the series, such as Symphonia, Destiny, Eternia, Abyss, etc, because this is an RP environment, I'm limiting it to only having 3 characters per series maximum. A main protagonist is highly recommended, but as seen in the first TotW, Phantasia never saw Cress as its representative, nor Rebirth with Veigue as its main representative, with both being absent, so not an absolute must.

2. No godmodding - Everyone has a dislike of their characters being controlled against their will by someone else, as such, if this is spotted, a warning will be issued to the offender.

3. No bashing - The Tales of series has a wide variety of characters of differing combat abilities, personality, appearances, and backgrounds; just because someone is playing a character you dislike, you're not forced to associate yourself to them, but that doesn't mean you should be hating on the player who has their own preferences.

4. Keep to the original skillsets - Every character has their own set of abilities that have them stand out over the others, though of course, many swordsmen do share many artes alongside others. But, if one happens to be playing as Luke, for example, he's not going to be using Sword Rain or Rising Phoenix, simply because he never acquired these artes in his original game! Refer to the Tales of Aselia wiki for characters and their arte lists if you're having trouble.

5. Story and Sex - This RP will be a heavy in the story department, though I will allow relationships to build and blossom over the course of the RP. If such a sexual-based scene is necessary, keep it vanilla as far as kinks are concerned, though if you insist on involving heavier kinks, I highly request that you take your partner to PM with it, if it's not an issue.

6. Have fun - This should be rather self-explanatory; there will be an OOC thread to discuss your own missions or ideas to throw into the main story; if this becomes a large-scale RP, we'll be able to divide the characters, the groups, and the missions they tackle over the course of the RP. If not, just got to make do with what we have.

With that in mind, feel free to show your interest if you have it.
