ASOIAF is interesting to me because it's plenty gritty, as close to the mediaeval brutality of feudal warfare as it gets, and you don't see much of that in mainstream fantasy. I wasn't into fantasy really until those books.

Any interest in 2017 in a Westeros type setting here? Best to fuck with GRRM's creations as little as possible, so a historical period like the mid Targaryen days seems fine. I suppose we'll see what people say, if anything at all.
