Last Wednesday, the United Kingdom passed a bill making its surveillance operation for the past decade legal. The UK is also engaging in yet another round of 'war on Internet porn' - we'll see how far that goes.

In addition to this, Chrome is going to be displaying a warning for all non-SSL sites that support logins come 2017.

Between these factors, I will be moving the communities I host to SSL-only.

Note that this is going to be the same advanced setup used on Elliquiy.

This will prevent some older browsers and devices from accessing Blue Moon. There is a chance that I may be able to resolve some limited difficulties, however, I obviously will need to know before we switch over.

You can test how your browser handles our planned SSL setup simply by visiting

https://elliquiy.com

You don't need to join or anything. If going there works fine, awesome.

If not, please send me a PM and describe what errors you see in detail, or post them to this thread.

Thank you.

Thank you so much for doing this! It is of much greater importance than a lot of people realize. I do not want my ISP, or my flat mate who owns the router, or the government, or just the library who has free Wi-Fi, to know the details of my sexual orientation.

And an extra plus for doing it right - Elliquiy gets A+ on SSL labs, and I see you use HSTS as well. Sweet!
