Snipping the Puppet's Strings [-Haru|vampire-]

Nodding to Okoru as he walked by but she ran her hand over his arm. The more she talked with Katie the more she felt at ease with her own female body. Thankfully they came to Severnarches, Okoru done his best to be there for everything but there was some things he couldn't be. There was a moment she thought about not telling him anything but that wasn't her nature. When he left the office she did nod to Barthol to have 2 papers lined up and prepared before they left for whatever flight they took.

After dinner she left before Okoru and was in her room smelling of lilacs, she took her time bathing before he arrived. Her wet hair was up off the back of her slender neck while she sat at the desk writing with the new device called a fountain pen. At this time she knew she had a choice to stay for the wedding or disappear without a word. Though she heard the heavy doors of Barthol's office being closed which meant he or someone else in the household was having a private discussion. Soon Aiko came to a point in the letter where her mind became a blank as in the beginning of the letter she was saying how she felt about when they first became friends then moved on how glad they stayed so close even as they aged differently. The last sentence before she stopped was a memory of the girls staying up all night and sneaking out of Iarada for a few minutes to show Katie a site she may not ever see.

The touch along his arm brought a soft sound from Okoru, almost a purr, and he laid his haand on her shoulder for a moment before leaving her and Barthol to talk. Okoru moved to the small backyard that the family had, still on their property so he could be there without escort, and began to move through his fighting forms. Both unarmed and with a blade, Okoru was a formidable fighter.

Unknown to the large lion he was being watched, the Hunter hired by Bryan watching from the crest of a hill outside the city, the long looking glass held to his face. A low sound came from the Hunter at the sight of Okoru and a smirk crossed his features. "I know that lion." he said softly and to nobody in particular. "This will be more fun than I thought."

Okoru finished his practice and went back in the house, ready for a bath, and retired to his own room to do so. A good long soak and soon he was clean, his fur soft and his mane brushed and glistening. Dressed in a clean loincloth and a clean robe, Okoru moved to Aiko's room and knocked on the door. "May I come in?" he asked quietly through the door.

"Hm?" She looked over seeing a maid with a tray of food. "Oh yes I forgotten." Aiko laid the pen down as she placed the tray of food down then left closing the door only to nod to Okoru. When Aiko heard the knocking she laughed softly. "Did you forget some-" She opened the door to see Okoru standing there in a pearl white robe. The sleeve of her gown slipped off her shoulder and the sudden cold draft made her quickly pull the sleeve back over her shoulder.

"Come on in. I thought you were the maid who forgot something." Laughing softly as she stepped side letting him inside her room. There was a mental debate of closing the door behind him but there was a sudden snap judgment. "Draw the curtains." Ordering him rather sternly all of a sudden. Aiko couldn't explain why she was so stern and ordering him about, maybe it was the expectations of her Royal linage kicking in for a moment. She closed the door before turning to him with her back leaning against the door looking at him with a blank look. At this point she didn't know if it was him who asked for a sooner departure or Barthol who was giving them options. "We need to talk about the departure." Slowly she pulled away from the door so they couldn't be heard in case someone decided to play spy.

"I don't want to depart this soon, Okoru. Something is telling me to stay for the wedding and its not for pride or ego sake." Aiko grabbed the plate that had a massive meat filled sandwich in which she offered it to him. "You know I can't eat that monster of a meal." Laughing softly as she held the porcelain gold leafed rim plate in her hand. "Though I don't know if what I am feeling is anxiety or I feel bad that I'll be missing my friend's special day."

Okoru had seen the maid moving down the corridor but had thought little of it, though as Aiko answered the door he realized what had happened before Aiko even said. Her command to draw the curtains was immediately obeyed, the lion conditioned to do so in some ways due to her royal blood. The tone of the command showed she was not upset, merely that she wanted privacy. As she offered the sandwich to him Okoru knew she was right and graciously accepted. Taking a bite he chewed as Aiko spoke, and only after he swallowed would he chime in.

"If Katie means as much to you as it appears, then I am sure that she would want you to be here for that joyous day. She also knows your circumstance and I am sure that she would forgive you if you feel we must go. I am quite certain that our enemies will not strike at us here, though tarrying too long will surely allow them to catch up if they have been lagging behind." Okoru stated and then pressed for more information.

"Why is your instinct telling you to stay? Is it a sense of foreboding? or just because you wish to see your friend's big day?" he asked, wondering if something was truly bothering her or if it was reluctance to depart too quickly. Aiko and Katie had not seen one another for some time, and Okoru could remember when Katie had been allowed to visit Kyonin, as he'd escorted the girls and stood guard over them as Aiko showed her dear friend some of the sights.

Okoru took another bite of the huge sandwich of roasted beef and as he ate he watched Aiko carefully. He would never influence her to stay or go, and the relationship between her and Katie was not one he wished to see end.

"To be honest I don't know what to tell you." Slowly she sat down at the desk looking at the letter with her chin in her hand. Silenced filled the room as she searched her mind as in what she was feeling basically. Katie would understand why she suddenly disappeared now. "I'm worried." Aiko stated as she looked at him. "Its a worry that something harmful will happen. It may have been from Bryan's behavior from the other day when he was told to leave the premises. Or just I worry for her altogether." Her slender hand took the small dinner roll as she tore it into smaller pieces as she ate it in silence but she broke the silence. "At this time that is all I can say is something feels off and I don't know what it is."

She knew this was down to her to decide rather to stay or go. "We're staying. Oh and to male's...Um flesh become swollen in the morning?" A smirk crossed her lips as she pointed to his groin. Her smirk was meant to show she wasn't offended on seeing it but curious actually. "I'm happy you agreed to come here since I can talk to another woman about some things that I can't talk to you about."

Okoru held his silence and let Aiko make her decision on her own, and had soon polished off the sandwich, though he was glad he wasn't chewing when she asked about his swollen male flesh. "I am glad we are staying." he said. "And if you think that something bad will happen, and it does, then perhaps we can be here to help." he told her, trying to ease her mind a little.

The gesture to his groin brought a smirk of his own. "The male member is not always swollen in the morning, though it can depend on the sort of dreams that one has, and also a full bladder can cause it as well." he informed her, unashamed in it. One did not live as long as Okoru had and remain modest about their anatomy. Besides, Aiko was a grown woman and would eventually learn all manner of things about a male, and about herself as well.

"Did your mother never talk to you about sex?" he asked her, curious. It was not his place to inform her of such things and yet, as a prominent male figure in her life he needed to know that she knew how things worked.

"No, when I asked I wasn't encouraged to ask again until I was of age. But when is 'of age' to ask?" Aiko asked with a soft giggle but she looked at him. "I had asked Katie about her first experience and she told me plus she mentioned she asked other women. Who informed her it depends on the partner that you have. At times it can be painful but with the right and understanding partner it can be wonderful overall." Sighing as Aiko finished off the fruits and salad then took his plate from him then set the tray outside her bedroom. "I think Mother was trying to keep me in the dark as long as possible. Though I think its time I knew some things. As in your male organ that I saw this morning, the urges I'm having plus what should I expect if and when I decide to give myself to a worthy male."

She wasn't holding back on him as she took the letter and placed it in a desk since she wasn't done yet with it yet. With the night already upon them she had climbed up in the bed, hiking the hem of the gown up, and nestled down against the large pillows. "You're more than welcome to join me in bed again."

"Oh." Okoru intoned, unsure what to tell her or what to say. It was an odd topic of conversation in some ways and though he was not ashamed he could tell that Aiko was curious. "Obviously if you have questions, then you should ask. If your body is reacting in certain ways then you should know why." he told her. Watching as she moved to her bed and lifted the hem of her nightgown as she climbed in, Okoru stood to go and that was when she said he could join her.

The lion felt torn. "I will join you, but if you try anything..." he teased, though slipped out of the white robe he had on, leaving him in the simple white loincloth. The large lion slipped into bed beside her, letting her snuggle up to him if she so desired, and wrapping an arm around her regardless. He knew she craved his warmth and size, as she could tuck herself against him easily.

When he mentioned if she tried anything, she couldn't help but laugh at him. Shaking her head with him joining her but to have him with her did make things more easier on her. Once the bed creaked it seemed to force her to shift her right into his side. To feel his arm wrapped around her to cradle her against him seemed to seal her there. Without a word she nestled in and happy things were calm between them. It took her some time to get to sleep but her sleep wasn't restful as she had nightmares of blood on white fur, screaming, the feeling of being useless. It all reflected to the point when Okoru woke up before her then he'd see her clinging to him with her hand grasping his.

Okoru slept light and as Aiko began to squirm he could only hold her close, and when her hand slipped into his he twined their fingers to hold her hand tight and kissed the top of her head, talking softly to her to try and calm her. The dream she had must have been upsetting, and slowly she would calm and tuck herself close to him, and Okoru just held her. "My little Princess." he whispered to her, and he turned into her so she could nuzzle into his chest. That was how he fell asleep.

Morning found them in that same position still, and as it was every morning Okoru's impressive length pressed hot against her belly where she was tucked into him, and as Okoru stirred that scalding hot flesh would slide across her skin as he awoke. Gently he began to wake, keenly aware of Aiko and the effect she had on him. The smell of her was like a drug, and he throbbed gently as the scent of her intoxicated him.

When he moved away from her she did open her eyes slightly. "Okoru...What.." She thought she felt something hard and hot pressed against her stomach. Her now roughening hand rubbed her eyes to see his impressive length throbbing. She didn't shy away or simply recoil from the sight of it. "Well even you being a male I still learn personal things from you everyday." Laughing softly as she never thought it'd be hard and throb. Though her laughter grew silent as she began to wonder how else would a male mate with his female? A look of thought came across her face as she sat up with her hand moving across his chest with the shoulders of her gown slipping down off of her shoulders. The sleeves stopped moving just as the tip cleavage of her ample breasts peeked out.

The thought of his penis being so hard that she felt it through the soft layer of fat on her belly and into the muscle did make her think. At this point she assumed his penis was like her breasts or any breasts just protrude outwards with some firmness with some give to it. Though she looked down seeing her one hand was linked with his rough fingers. With a smile she unlinked her fingers from his own but brought his large hand up cupping her cheek. The feeling of his large hand cupping her cheek gently was something she never really experienced or put much thought into it. To feel his large hand against her cheek felt wonderful as she nuzzled into his large hand with her soft lips brushing against the heel of his palm. After enjoying this close quiet moment between them she looked into his warm soft amber eyes. "Go take care of yourself and I'll get dressed for training. I can't stand sitting here and doing nothing perhaps you can train with me to help improve my technique?"

For the next week Aiko worked with Plum but often Aiko did lose bit of control when Plum got to personal with Okoru. Aiko was unaware she was displaying an Asuran's trait of shooing potential threats away from their future mates. All that week Aiko worked with her powers but when they didn't come out like she expected during her training with Okoru she used his blades instead. Okoru was a wonderful teacher as she remembered he taught her to use her own natural form and balance to her advantage in which if someone was to watch them it'd look like they were dancing. Often Barthol and his Wife would step outside to watch the pair then wander off. Later on, Aiko would learn the two went off for some quiet alone time like when they were courting before they exchanged wedding bands. To Aiko that was romantic but now wasn't time for romance as the next day was the wedding.

The morning came as she was dressed in the blue gown, pouch in hand with their faked papers, her personal letter to Katie. "Come on, Okoru!" Aiko called out as her hair was in curls over one shoulder. The dress was fitted to her hour glass figure but when he appeared she smiled. "My my my! You look good dressed up but I think I like your natural looks." Laughing as she took his arm while he escorted her to the wagon outside. "I got our stuff, it seemed before Katie left she gave me the Ying-Yang papers so we can keep in contact." Aiko wore small amounts of make up to make her cheeks a soft pink and her lips were glossed to make a shiny pink shade. It seemed odd but this week it felt like they gotten closer together in more ways than one. The ride to the wedding took some time but Aiko was out in the open with Okoru as she placed the personal letter on the gift table. About 30 minutes later Aiko stood as she watched her friend go down the aisle to the awaiting Thomas; but as they were going to seal the marriage with a kiss when several arrows came flying out of nowhere. It seemed Thomas was hit but he moved shielding Katie.

"Okoru!" Aiko cried out in shock as she moved towards her friends with the leaves coming off the trees, the grass blades moved over her clothed body to form light weight armor. The helmet came up shielding her face as she stood between the couple and the arrows. The grass blades formed a large shield that she held up having the arrows bounce off. "MOVE!" Shouting to Katie as the women moved with Thomas to keep him covered until he was inside but as Aiko turned she tossed her shield up when a bomb went off. The force of the blast sent her flying back slamming her into the ground but it forced her into a tree knocking her out. The armor she wore returned to where they came from to reveal her dress was burned and torn in several places, just barely hanging on to her body.

As always Okoru was not ashamed or embarrassed and his thoughts idly wandered, wishing that Aiko would wrap her slender fingers around him, to touch and explore him. His wish was partly granted as her hand pressed and caressed over his chest and she brought his hand up to her cheek. That hand could crush her skull, it was large enough and strong enough, and yet it was exceedingly gentle with her and Okoru nodded when she said he should go take care of himself and then they could go and train. It wasn't long before Okoru would join her and over the next several days he worked with Plum as well. The Asuran and the Fey gave Aiko a crash course in using her powers, and it was not lost on Okoru how protective Aiko was becoming of him, though both he and Plum were able to turn that to an advantage and show Aiko what she was capable of at times.

The day of the wedding arrived and Okoru dressed up, though brought along his shorter blades strapped to his thighs, and it was not uncommon to see other people armed at the event. Staying close to Aiko the ceremy was interrupted by the arrow fire, and Okoru spotted two archers on the roofs of nearby buildings, pointing them out to Barthol's men who returned fire and gave chase as Okoru tried to get through the flow of the crowd, the blast of the bomb rocking him back, his ears ringing and dust obscuring vision.

Managing to make it to his feet he saw Aiko's crumpled form and started that way, intent on protecting her. From the dust and debris a shdowy form dropped from above, having used the trees and the rooftops as cover. Okoru growled low in his throat.

----------

The Hunter had watched over the few days, getting news from bryan about what was being planned and the day of the wedding drew near. Bryan had made it exceedingly clear; if he could not have Katie, then nobody would have her. The bomb was put together and would act not only to try and kill his former girlfriend, but provide chaos and cover for the Hunter to make a move on Okoru and the Princess. Bryan had determined who tey were, since Katie held no secrest from him, and the bounty on them as rather nice he had to admit.

Having moved into position, the Hunter waited for the opportune time to make his presence known.

----------

"Xindara..." Okoru growled as the large form dropped down in front of him. "I never thought to see you again. he said, his blades in hand.

The Hunter, finally revealed to Okoru, smiled. "It has definitely been far too long old friend. I owe you." Xindara said, hefting the massive hammer with his mechanical arm. The mechanical arm that replaced the one that Okoru had taken so long ago. "You know, I would have taken this job for free. That I am getting paid to kill you just makes it all the sweeter!" the tiger roared, coming in fast.

Okoru was immediately on the defensive, and his two blades managed to block the hammer, though the vibration from the impact sent a numbness through his wrists, and he realized then that, at least in a straight up contest of strength, the arm of Xindara gave an advantage. It felt no pain, it did not grow tired, and it was stronger than he was.

Groaning as one male Fey picked Aiko up shielding her from flying random arrows. The fey was slapping her cheeks to wake her up as she opened to her eyes to see Okoru defending himself against someone who was close to his size and power. Pushing him away as the armor returned around her form though something told her that she didn't have a tenth of a chance to take on this Hunter. With a growl she got to her feet as the trees in the surrounding area moved to her will. One limb shot out hitting Xindara to create room between him and Okoru the large lifeless tree moved slamming his limb down making the earth shake.

Aiko moved with the grass turning back into a steel like bow as she fired arrows at he archers from the roof tops. At this moment Aiko seemed to be putting out a large amount of magic which was unusual. Within her armor deflected stray arrows she missed. Her messy auburn hair hide part of her face with her setting her eyes on Okoru and this unknown creature. She rushed to Okoru and grabbed the back of his armor. "We need to go! NOW!" Shouting at him knowing she couldn't keep this up forever as her vision and strength was starting to go. "I...Can't keep this up." Whispering to him as she dug her gloved hand into his back to show how urgent this was. "Nature will slow him down long enough."

Unprepared for the confrontation from Xindara, Okoru was more than happy to allow the animated trees to batter him away, though the canny tiger managed to roll to his feet and Okoru had to agree with Aiko. The tiger managed to block another incoming blow with his powerful mechanical arm, though through sheer mass the tree still knocked him back a bit, but Xindara brought his hammer to bear, the massive head bursting into flame. Several other trees surrounded the tiger and Okoru took that opportunity to retreat with Aiko, grabbing both Thomas and Katie, Barthol and his wife Mary-Ann all fleeing back to the Douwood residence. It was there that Okoru would grab what he could and he and Aiko would say hasty goodbyes.

The airship was waiting for them, and the chaos in Sevenarches seemed to have come under control, though both Bryan and Xindara were nowhere to be seen. The papers that Barthol had sexured for them granted them passage and as they took to the air, looking over the railing, they could see the still smoking crater of the detonation, though it seemed that collateral damage was minimal.

"That Hunter will not give up so easily." Okoru informed Aiko and his worry was plain.

"The hunter?" She asked as she stood still in the dark grass bladed armor though she moved among the crates and clucking chickens as feathers flew with her moving to an area. "Pouch!" She reached back taking it from Okoru and soon she was undressing when the armor disappeared, she took the torn burnt dress off and threw it to him. "Shred it, leave no evidence." Ordering him as she dressed in the slender pants, blouse with the corset. She shook her hair loose then pulled it back to place the goggles on. Stepping out in the open as she looked at him sternly. "Who in the hell was that?!"

At this moment she began to wonder if her life was really in danger. Was it Okoru's life that was really in danger and the only way he could leave was for her to go with him? That he died then she died or if she died then he died? "Okoru, there is something you're not telling me. I've known you for decades and I'm starting to realize I barely know you. You know a whole lot about me." Using the materials around them she used soot and dirt and got her face nice and messy along with her clothes to make herself look like a working girl. Thankfully the goggles covered her pointed ears.

Shredding things as Aiko demanded, Okoru left nothing behind and soon they had settled onto the ship after the very hasty and unplanned retreat from Sevenarches. Aiko's insistence on answers brought a sigh. "I had a life all my own before you came along. I have always been in service to your family in one way or another, but before you were born you probably know I was in the Royal Guard. So was Xin. That's the name of the Hunter back there - Xindara. We never were the best of friends, but things really took a turn when the Council went after your father. They sent Xindara to kill him, and luckily I intercepted him. I actually had no idea that Xin was not acting on his own, but it soon came to light. I took his arm and he fled. Your father left as well, and never came back. I thought that perhaps Xin had perished, but evidently he hasn't." Okoru said.

She stood there as Okoru sat to tell her what had happened. "Yes I knew you were part of the Royal Guard. So..." He filled in so was Xin or Xindara. Aiko stood there listening to him closely learning the council wanted her so called father dead which didn't make sense. "Wait...They wanted a Fey to die for...Knocking my mother up? It was her choice to accept him into her bed and to carry me." There was anger in her voice for the fact the council denied her the right to know who her father was, tried to get him killed plus treating her like she was nothing but an annoying gnat.

At this point her heart was humming with adlerian rushing through her veins. To keep herself calm she paced back and forth with her biting her thumb with her keeping the sparks of ember from flying from her fingers. "So it sounds like the Council is destroying the royal family from the inside out though if that is true...My mother must have seen it and assigned you to me soon as I was wrapped in her arms. To ensure the Council couldn't kill me within the first week." Aiko looked at him as she seemed to be making the leaps with the information she was provided. "Am I wrong?"

Okoru shook his head subtlely. "They didn't just want your father dead, they wanted your mother dead as well. The Council, some of them, believe your mother defiled the royal bloodline by conceiving a child with a being other than an elf. In some ways that is true, though it is never stated in any of the laws that the Crown can only be held by a pure-blooded elf. The Council even now is unhappy, and your mother set me to guard you, as you just said. There's a test to show what guard might be compatible, and I immediately fell in love with you and became a Deathless. Your father retreated to the land of the fey, and has never been heard from since. Your mother did not back down from the Council and they begrudgingly had to agree with her. Your life so far though, you have to remember, has been hardly the blink of an eye in the lifespan of an elf, and so now they are trying to move against your mother again. Here we are."

As he spoke Okoru put his armor on, and strapped his weapons to his person. There was no way to hide as Aiko was able to do, and he wanted to be prepared.

It was starting to make sense why these things were happening but she glanced over seeing his full naked form. There was some blush on her cheeks but she didn't look away from him. "I'm still sorry this is happening. My mother must have seen something special in you to pick you from other Asurans in Kyonin." Once he was suited she pulled out the papers they had as she wasn't sure his would be of use since who else had white fur? A smile crossed her lips as she moved joining him at his side. "I got your papers, Kenshin Mei Lou. I'm Lilliana Stone legally a Fey." Smirking as she handed him his papers as she couldn't hide what he was but she could hide what she was. If anyone saw her naked they'd see a special birthmark above her right butt cheek, a 3 clawed tanned mark. In some regions it was an omen and others it was just a birthmark.

"You're right compared to the elves I'm still a child but compared to other beings as in humans and the like...I'm old. So where do I fall? That is one awkward place to be at." Laughing softly to show she wasn't taking the age thing seriously. She sat up on the crates she looked over at him as there was an urge to just wrap her arms around him and just hold him close to know he was there.

"I saw something special in you." Okoru, now Kenshin, said to her. "You're right though, as far as your lifespan. For an elf you are young, but for a fey you're an infant almost. Your life has barely begun, and so now you can see why I became Deathless. I have to protect you Ai... Lilliana." Kenshin said. It was the core of his very self, the strength of his beliefs, that only he could keep her safe and of course he planned to do just that.

Kenshin fell quiet and then gestured to the door that led out of the hold and out onto the ship. "I suppose we should at least enjoy the ride, right? This is the first time we've been on a contraption like this and we should see what it is all about." he told her.

It was pointless to argue with him that her mother picked him but yet he did pick to stay when he first say her tiny hands and perhaps when they first locked eyes. Though she smiled at him then suddenly bounced onto his back. Her arms wrapped around his neck, her knees pressing against his sides, her breasts pressed into his back. "You're right. WE should enjoy this machine while we got a chance. Do you know where this thingy is landing?" Even after a fight his scent never altered. It seemed he wasn't to worried or stressed in the fight. Once she dismounted from him she walked ahead then up the ladder to the open deck. People rushed about as she walked slowly to the railing.

One deck hand mistaken her as a crew member but the Captain yelled no woman was a deck hand. She was part of the messaging group heading home. The captain did yell at her to be careful near the railing. Aiko or Lilliana nodded to the old man as she slowly made her way to the railing, her gloved hands grasping the railing tightly as possible. With a gulp she looked over the edge to see the lands below them just smoothly moving below them. To her this was amazing and this experience was something that needed to be there to experience as no words could describe this feeling or sight.

Okoru, now Kenshin, laughed as Lilliana jumped onto his back, and instinctively he reached back to help support her, his large hands cradling her bum and holding her up. Kenshin was only vaguely aware of the sexual aspects of the horseplay, as her rump in his hands was soft and round and her breasts against his back were equally alluring. Setting her down once they got to the deck, Kenshin walked with her along the deck, staying out of the way as much as he could, and peering over the rail as she did. Down below the tops of the trees skimmed along underneath them, the airship a couple hundred feet in the air. "It is certainly a different way to travel." Kenshin mused, and though from this altitude it did not look like they were moving very quickly, the wind in their hair spoke otherwise. Steam and coal smoke billowed from the smokestack far above their heads, and the metal and wood deck thrummed under their feet from the engines.

The feeling of his large hands on her rump wasn't lost on her. Strangely she liked it and it caused some stirring in her loins from that simple act. With the wind rushing by them with strands of her hair being teased about she looked up at him. "Do you know where this freight ship is taking us?" She knew they were heading north to Mendev but where will this ship touch down is a mystery to her. Leaning against the railing she just admire the view before them. "In your life time did someone teach you the world of sexual nature?"

Even if they were in the public domain but with the wind rushing about them their conversation was remained private. Lilliana or Aiko looked up at Kenshin though she reached over placing her hand upon his own. The feeling of them being watched made her feel uneasy so she linked her fingers with his own to scare off any eager males. What sane man or male would go after a female whose male was eight foot tall, massive fangs and claws that could tear you to shreds?

Kenshin/Okoru grasped her hand in his own, hers so small and delicate compared to his own, but the act was intimate in nature and he was quite happy for it. "I'm not sure exactly what destination this ship has, though I am sure we can talk to the Captain and find out." Okoru said, and looked about. The crew were moving about as their duties demanded and none seemed to pay them too much mind, which was a good thing. Kenshin wasn't sure what sort of deal Barthol had struck, but trusted the man. "I will try and find out for us." Kenshin told her, and gave her hand a squeeze. "Later. He really didn't feel like letting go of her right now.

The airship made good time and by the sun's setting they had traveled to the edge of the River Kingdoms. Unlike Ruin the ship did not have to rest and the machine kept going. A small change of course took them in a more westerly direction and after supper Kenshin got to speak briefly to the Captain. As he came back to Lilliana in the small space of their quarters he informed her of their next immediate destination.

"They have a stop in Starfall, in Numeria, and will dock there for the better part of a day before continuing northward to Mendev." Kenshin told her.

Dinner was simple for the pair as she heard the crew had enough for one stop to restock up on supplies. Though when she was in their quarters she noticed it was cramped. The only way they could sleep was if he slept on the cold floor or he slept in the bed and she'd sleep on top of him. Knowing Kenshin/Okoru he'd take the floor and she could take the bed. Instead of changing she took the goggles off and let her hair come tumbling down just as she fell back on the bed the heavy metal door open to see the large Asuran.

"Starfall?" She repeated the destination as if it meant something to her like she heard it somewhere. Was it when Barthol talking to Okoru about what places to look out for? No. Was it where Katie mentioned on where she'd like to visit? No. Why did that place seem to stick out to her. "O-Kenshin....What do you know of Starfall?" Sitting up while she tucked the loose hair away from her face as she looked up at him. Her eyes drifted to the pouch he had on his side then suddenly one of the crew hands rushed to their quarters.

"Oy! Fey! You can heal right?!" He seemed scared and out of breath. Before Aiko could answer he grabbed her hand, ignoring Okoru, yanked her out of the room. "Theres been an accident in the furnace. One of the guys added to much coal and the flames erupted up in his face." He was breathless as he dragged Aiko down and around until they reached a man on the floor in pain.

Aiko was sick to her stomach as his face was burned, covered in boils and welts, he could barely breathe. She wanted to run since she could deal with only flesh wounds. Tying her hair back she moved next to the man's side with one hand on his chest. Aiko trembling was visible which made it clear to the others she hadn't mastered her powers. They begged her to do what she can. "OH SHUT UP!!!!!" She yelled at them all as their panicked begging and pleading wasn't helping her focus on the task at hand. Her voice had traveled along the metal pipes vibrating them alerting the Captain something had happened to his crew. Though she turned back to the man with her closing her eyes trying to stay calm just as her hands grew warm. Slowly the white glowing light moved from her finger tips to dive right into his chest to heal his lungs, throat but her free hand hovered above his forehead to soothe away the boils, welts and try to return the skin to its normal hue and texture.
