Ivoris was a pretty normal girl over all, her life a bit iffy here and there, but that was never a real problem. She lived with her mother, and just her mother. Her father had custody of her two older brothers, and she never knew why her mother lacked their custody, but she was always afraid to bring up the topic. Ivy had just graduated from her senior year of high school and was moving onto college, all of her long study nights and lack of parties really payed of for her in the end. Yeah she was the boring friend, and yeah she's never drank or smoked some drugs, but at least she was going to college. Ivy was a little goody goody, always doing as she was told when she was told, she never did much wrong to get herself into trouble. She was a sweet, well put together young woman, and she was proud of it. Maybe being good wasn't always the best thing...

Ivy looked at herself closely in the mirror, she didn't want to seem like a slob or an unattractive slut. She wore decent clothing, no make up, and her hair was nicely placed. She wore a ashy grey tank top with a bit of a lace back but that exposed her shoulder blades down to the small of her back. Next were a pair of worn out blue shorts, they weren't booty short, or super short shorts, they were a respectable size. Then black combat boots, she just enjoyed the sound they made while she walked along her hardwood floor. For how she looked over all she could say she was... cute, or pretty. She had a petite frame standing at 5'1 with the average weight for her height. Her breast were b-cup, not an overwhelming size but they were noticeable, her skin a creamy white. Her hair a mixture of ginger and a gentle touch of light brown, her eyes a deep and welcoming amber. With a final fiddle of her hair she left the mirror to start her first day.

After her first day of college Ivy was not so thrilled to hear that her friend wouldn't be able to pick her up after all. She wasn't going home after the long day, she was heading to a local crafts shop to get the art supplies for her new classes. Her feet ached horribly, she high school was such a small place that the college seemed like an over sized hotel. She constantly got lost, and had to ask others for directions to get to certain classes. First days were also the most boring of them all, going over the schools rules, and the classroom rules four hundred times. All she really needed was a few notebooks, a few sketchpads, and the rest she had at her home that she could just bring in. It was the middle of the afternoon when she had finally made it to the shop, it was a blazing late August summer day, and she was happy to slide into the doors. Ivy was lucky to have one of her best friends working a shift at this shop to chat with about her first day went. The young girl was often seen in this place talking to him, and doodling onto paper while he did his best to focus on the real work he needed to do and not social hours.

"I hope you enjoy the rest of your shift, i'll be back tomorrow if your boss doesn't throw me out for being a distraction!" Ivy laughs, waving goodbye to her friend as she exits the shop with her bag now filled with proper schooling items. She didn't bother to check the time as the sun had only just sunk behind the mountain peaks that surrounded the area, the sky a beautiful midnight blue color speckled with the small white stars. She had spent multiple hours goofing around a store like a child, but she did manage to do some homework and buy what she needed without completely forgetting like she almost always did. It was a beautiful night, much colder than the day, but it was a comfortable temperature.

During her walk back to her home she felt a rough yank on her back. Quickly Ivy tried turning her body around completely but it ended up with one of her arms sliding out from the strap of her backpack. Her arm hooked and pressed on the last strap she had a hold of, the rough fabric roughly digging into her flesh as a man tries ripping the strap from her back. "L-Let go of my bag you ass!" She screamed, trying to tug back, but the man was twice her size and most likely double her weight. Ivy wasn't planning on letting her bag go, it held something very dear to her inside of it, and she was not willing to let it go. "There's nothing it in but sketchbooks and notebooks!" She hissed through her clenched teeth, the ripping and tugging giving her a burn in the crease of her arm. She could see the fabric starting to rip, in a fit of panic she raised her voice into a loud cry, "Somebody help me, please!" She wasn't sure if anyone was going to help her, but she might as well try.

The wind was perfect as Artanus strolled down the street towards his favorite mortal brewery, The Calling Crow. He saw some beautiful girls who looked to be in college approaching and he slashed a smile only a god could give. The girls faces blushed and he walked past and he overheard one of them say “wow who was that gorgeous guy?” Well if only they knew he thought to himself with a chuckle. It wasn't everyday you get a smile from an immortal, but he wasn't concerned about giving himself away. All the other gods knew that beautiful women were his weakness. In fact some had exploited it and it led to some very bad disasters here in the mortal world.

Despite his almost model like looks he was not perfect. He was constantly criticized for not helping the mortals and being non confrontational when it came to problems. Artanus had his reasons for his behavior though. Why get himself into issues what didn't concern him? He left most of that work to the earth god Exodor. Now there was a god who wanted to be everyone's white knight. He had such a hard-on for justice he and the other gods sentenced him to a year among the mortals. He had already served 6 months of it and he was finally getting used to this boring place. He had found his perfect pub, gotten laid regularly, and was living in peace. Life was as perfect as it was going to get here.

He was removed from his thoughts when he heard some screams down the street. Women's screams. He knew that he really shouldn't care but he was bored and tired of same routine so he decided he had better go check it out. He ran down the street to find a man in a mask trying to steal a small girl's purse. Every bone on Artanus’ body said don't be a hero but he still found himself moving forward towards the man who was now wielding a gun. The masked man grabbed the girl by the neck and held her close and put the gun to her head and shouted “stay away! This doesn't concern you pretty boy!” The look on the girl's face was pure horror as she struggled to get free from the man's grasp.

Artanus stopped for a moment remembering what the gods had said at council. He had been in chains of lightning and fire facing the other 4 gods. The goddess of fire Mulara, whom he had been tricked by her beauty and lust and enveloped in her flame. Coarla, the goddess of water who was wife to the earth god Exodor who were both pure and stood for everything just. Then you had the sneering evil Spectrus, god of spirit. He was the most conniving and evil of them all. Each had sentenced him here unanimously and not without rules. Rule number 1 being to make sure he was never discovered by anyone or the mortals who knew would have to be killed. Rule 2 was not to cause any trouble. In the next few minutes he could break both possibly.

He looked into the girl's eyes with his own deep blue and stood straight at his full 6’1 stature and he brushed a fallen lock of sandy brown hair out of his eyes. “You don't want to do that” he said calmly looking at the gunman. “You’ll regret it”

“The only thing I'll regret is not killing you sooner!” He yelled and blasted three rounds into the chest of Artanus who was already moving at lightning fast speed towards the gunman. In milliseconds he had the man disarmed and both arms broken and laying on the pavement in pain.

He looked down at the man but couldn't bring himself to end the man's life in front of the woman. He saw now that she was beautiful. Beyond beautiful in her own ways. He tried to hide the three bullet holes in his shirt from her eyes by turning around. No mortal weapon could harm him but she couldn't be allowed to know that. She was already in danger as it was. He tried to figure out what he should do next. Leave her to the gods to possibly kill? Protect her? Ugh. this is why he didn't meddle in mortal affairs. But then again she was beautiful.

“You can't stay here now. It's too dangerous. I'll explain later but for now you'll have to crash at my place if you want to live” he said looking over his shoulder.
