Always Looking

Ever go to rp sites and try to socialize with people but its always silent? Like all people do is lurk.

Generally, socialization here is done via the site chat.

You have to figure that plenty of people come here for one reason only: to role-play. They aren't interested in making idle conversation with other members. While not a total truth, the type of people that gravitate towards role-playing tend to not be the social butterflies of the world. They spend a great deal of their time at home, creating stores with other people. They are more interested and comfortable with just interacting with people through their characters. People who are notably social probably fulfill those needs outside of the computer. There are many exceptions, but this is what my experience on the Internet has lead me to believe.
