The False Bodyguard (rskde and Ms.Goody2shoez94)

He quickly eats and finishes his meal before nodding. "Good as always." He says cheerfully, smiling as he says so.

He stands up and looks out the window, noticing the setting sun. "It's getting late, should I still sleep on the couch?" He asks.

" I said that room was my mom's room, but the truth is she hardly ever slept there. The last few years it was Rodrigo's room. He should have some clothes you can fit. " Yesterday she was just being an ass saying he couldn't sleep there.

"The bed is already made, whenever you're ready for bed."

He listens before nodding, glad he can finally be able to sleep in a proper bed. He walks up to her and wraps his arms around her, pulling her against him. "In case your uncle comes tomorrow, I'm going to steal one last kiss from you to tide me over.." He says softly before pressing his lips to hers.

He breaks away and waves to her as he disappears into the bedroom, closing the door behind him before curling up on the made bed, not even bothering to throw the covers over him as he falls asleep.

Sophie is sure of her uncle's impending presence, so she enjoys the short kiss knowing that there will be no affection between them for how ever long her uncle stays. " Buenos noches," she says to his retreating figure.

She is up early, again. She gets her gardening out of the way. Then she starts cooking up s storm, storing completed dishes in warmer. She wanted to have a full meal before her uncle arrives.

Of course, he is there early than she would have expected. 630a.m. on the dot; he was a firm believer in being early. The man was usually tough as nails, but his face softened a little bit at the sight of his Neice looking so much like his little sister. It is only a lapse of him showing affection. Two of his men are behind him and he will not be weak in front of them. " where is Francisco? "

Frank wakes up about the same time as Sophia, running his hands down his face as if trying to wipe his tiredness away. He sits in bed for another half hour before he sees lights approaching from the driveway of the house.

He stands up and walks out into the common area, leaning against the wall in the shadows as Sophie talks to her Uncle.

"I'm here sir." He says, his Spanish accent seems to be working again. He steps out into the light and nods to the terrifying man, knowing that he might've been the last thing a lot of people see before dying.

His Spanish accent was perfect, definitely good enough to think that Spanish was his first language. She had forgotten all about it with all the the activities of the day before. She tries to clear her face of the surprise look she had so her uncle doesn't notice.

" I figured you would be here quite early, so I went ahead and made you breakfast,Uncle," sge pulled him to a seat at the table. Then Sophie grabbed some juice as he sat at the table. They woukd eat and talk and then their guards would eat after them.

She made her Uncle a plate, before making a plate of her own.

" How are you handling this, I know a lot has happened in the last few days," his voice was low. The truth was that he didn't know everything that happened, and it would blow his mind to know that she lied with a man. She woukd have to be careful not to give anything away, he reads her so well

" Francisco had been very helpful in keeping my mind off of everything, we stayed pretty active yesterday."

He watches them sit down, knowing the etiquette for the hierarchy of the cartel. He listens to the conversation, almost grinning when she said that they were active yesterday, but he keeps his face straight through it all.

He continues to listen to the conversation, not making direct eye contact with anybody that happens to be in the room with them.

"Im glad that Francisco is taking care of you. Things are really bad right now, too bad for you to come back to my home. But, I will take care of everything. You will stay up here, and within two weeks you will come to live with me," her uncle informed her. She k ew that he was firm in his decidios. So, she didn't question it at all.

" What about the restaurant-," he immediately shook his head no. She should have known he wouldn't let her back there anytime soon. " Okay," she whispered.

"Francisco," he pointed to a spot right in front of him. " Make sure she behaves. I wI'll leave money for you take her into the small markey , should you need anything. Lose her and I will make your life miserable."

He walks over to her Uncle, listening to his words before nodding. "I will ensure her safety." He says quietly, every word seeming rehearsed in a Spanish accent to make sure that he would not mess up.

He keeps a straight face through the whole thing, the thread sounds to him as real as it could get and he does not want to mess up.

" I will only stay for the day. We will rest up, do some strategic planning, and make sure the fort is secure on all sides," he informed the both of them. "Now, my niece, I'm going to take a nap. It was quite a long drive. Will you make sure my men are properly fed?"

She bobbed her head a small smile on her face. She was probably the only person in the world who was not scared of her uncle. "Sleep well."

She got up from the table to give the three men a plate and room to sit. With her uncle gone she sat back down. She was no where near as formal.

Devil Eyes would nap for awhile, though he doesn't want to admit it, he was getting old.

Since he's already sitting he starts eating, keeping his eyes down on his plate as he realizes that the two men at the table with him are literally Devil Eyes' Lieutenants. Once he finishes he stands and looks at Sophie. "I'm going to secure the perimeter." He says.

He walks along the edge of the building, making sure nothing is out of place or out of order, once he is satisfied he goes back inside and leans against the wall in the kitchen, unsure of what he should do next.

By the time Frank comes back, she is almost done cleaning up everything. Her uncle's men had went to rest too, giving them sometime to relax since no one was watching them any more. "I really wish I could kiss you right now," she looked over at his lips. " But, we have to behave right now."

"I know it's hot, but do you want to go for a walk, put some distance between us and the big man?"

He chuckles softly. "I wish I could kiss you as well." He admits, biting the bottom of his lip softly Ashe looks over at her, honestly he wishes he could do other things as well.

He nods. "A walk sounds fun, and as your bodyguard I should escort you." He says with a smile before opening the door. "After you." He says, waiting for her to possibly walk out of the door to get their walk started.

Grabbing some water bottles, Sophie led the way. They walked at a pretty leisurely pace, which gAve them plenty of time to talk and look around. It wasn't long before they got to the back fence of the property.

Right on the other side of it was a pathway that She liked to hike up. "The path were going to go is pretty steep," she started to climb the high fence.

Frank laughs as he watches Sophie climb the fence. He jumps up, his hands catching the center bar of the fence, his feet catching the chain links, he pulls himself up to the top bar before flipping his legs over his head and then his body over the fence, landing on his feet.

"I'm used to hikes with sixty pounds on my back, this'll be nothing." He says to her while watching her still climb the fence. "Need help?" He asks with the raise of his eyebrows.

Sophie sat on top of the fence, the top pokey part biting into her butt. She knew he was in the marines, but she hadn't expected for him to scale tbe fence so easily.

"Please," she climbed down a little bit then when she was low enough she reached down to grab his shoulders, then she pulled her legs around his waist.

He keeps hold of her sides as she climbs down, grinning up at her as her legs go around his waist. "See? Easy." He says with a smile, he puts her down.

He wishes he could've kissed her right then and there, but he doesn't know if anybody is watching and he knows that as of now they have to behave, they would have to hold out until tomorrow.

She wished he would have to advantage of the situation to Kiss her, but Sophia always knew there was the possibility of someone watching them. She old just have to be patient and try to fight through the urge.

Feet on the ground they trekked up the pathway. It was a lot steeper than she remembered. She tries to save her water for the walk down.

"Rodrigo would never go with me on my hikes. He was so lazy. He would ask me to cook him all these baked goods and he was on the verge of getting fat."

He really has no problem with climbing the steep path, sticking his hands in his pockets as he walks with her.

"I think Rodrigo should've taken better care of you, he just let you come out here alone?" He asks with the raise of his eyebrows. "Your Uncle would kill me if I did that." He says with a laugh, moving his hands from his pockets to the back of his head as he walks.

"Like I said, he tended to give me a lot of freedom. He let me do what I wanted as long as it was in reason. It's not like I ever told on him, or left any evidence that I had gone out," they had been pretty smart about everything they did. Sometimes Sophie thinks that it all caught up to them after disobeying for so long.

They walked all the way to the top. They could see quite a bit down the mountain and all the area around them. She always wondered if people could see them.

He nods to her. "I'm not against giving you freedom, but too much is never good." He says as they near the top of the mountain, he takes in the view but looks over at her and laughs.

"You know, whenever I climb a mountain, the view is beautiful and it suddenly seems to be worth it to have climbed that entire mountain.. But now I realize that it doesn't matter if I climb a mountain now, I have the most beautiful view in the world.. I have you, Sophie."

"Cute," she scrunched up her nose at him. It was literally the cheesiest thing she had ever had a guy sat to her. She wouldn't mind having him around if that meant he was going to stroke her ego like this. She conceded and walked close enough to wrap her hands around his middle.

" It definitely was worth it, I wish we could stay up her longer. But, got to go make everyone lunch. I'm sure my uncle will wake up soon. He'll expect it to already be done."

He bites the bottom of his lip before nodding. "You're right, let's get back." He says quietly before starting back down the trail. He wishes they could run away, that her Uncle wasn't there t threaten them any more.

Of course Sophia didn't think of it as she was being threatened, she loved her uncle, and knew that he wanted the best for her. Sometimes their ideas are aligned.

Back in the kitchen Sophie was just finishing making lunch as her uncle came in. " I see that you spent some time in the sun," he gestured to her darker skin.

Frank had just been on the couch with his hands behind his head, watching the TV which is muted to account for the sleeping people in the house, ironically an episode of Criminal Minds is on so he decides to watch that.

He looks over at Devil Eyes as he walks in, listening to his words before returning his attention to the TV.
