Lianna Graham jumped up her father's front doorsteps two at a time. She had been calling him all day and yet had received no answer. Eventually the young woman had begun to get worried. Her father was a creature of habit and this behavior was just so out of the ordinary for him. He always picked up when she called, always. So she decided to ask her boss if she could leave work early, in order to go and make sure that he was ok. As she reached the top step, Lianna had been prepared to let herself in using the spare key that her dad had given her. However she froze when she saw that the door was already ajar. "Dad?" She called into his hallway, but there was no reply. "Dad!" Lianna's tone became more urgent and she scrambled into the house.

The scene that awaited her was one of horror, her father's home was completely trashed. Furniture thrown about, documents spread across the floor, broken glass and china everywhere. Lianna covered her mouth as shock and worry began to overtake her. "Dad!" Now she was in utter panic mode as she began to search the house for him. Every single room had been ransacked from top to bottom and to make matters worse, there was no trace of her dad. Lianna eventually found herself in his library, tears filling in her eyes. He was gone, her father wasn't here.

Without hesitation, she dug her hand into the pocket of her jeans and pulled out her cellphone. Dialing 911, the young woman then began pacing up and down as she waited for someone to answer. "Come on! Come on!" She cried out and as she did so, another voice replied to her. It wasn't coming from her phone though, it came from inside of the library instead. "Voice recognition accepted" a computerized woman announced. Lianna turned to look and saw that one of her father's bookcases seemed to have a strange glow to it. "911 what's your emergency?" The dispatcher finally said on the other end of the phone. "Hello? Hello?" They asked again. Without taking here eyes away from the bookcase, Lianna hung up the phone and slowly began to walk towards light.

Not only did it glow, but there also appeared to be a strange humming noise coming from behind it. Once she was up close, she noticed that the bookcase itself jutted out from the wall. It hadn't been like that before... only after she had spoken. What on Earth was going on here? "Dad?" Lianna asked one last time, her voice coming out as a whimper. She had no idea what might be hiding behind the bookcase and didn't particularly want to go in. She was nervous, but she was worried more about her father's safety. So pushing past her apprehension, Lianna placed her hands upon the bookcase and began to pull it open.

For a moment she just stood there in surprise, there was a secret room behind here! "What?" The confusion was plainly written all over her face, Lianna had no idea what the hell was going on! If she hoped that by stepping inside things would be made clear, than she was very wrong. As her foot passed the threshold, motion activated lights sprung on and revealed what her father had been hiding. It was a lab and it was littered with chrome surfaces, bright lights, test tubes, vials, unknown machines, computers and x-ray illuminators with pictures attached to them. All of which were bewildering, but they were nothing compared to what was on the table in the center of the room.

"Oh my God..." Laying before her, unconscious, was a man hooked up to several machines. Lianna stepped forward warily, who was he? Was he dead? How did he get here? What was going on?! Her hand began to outstretch slowly, attempting to see if the man had a pulse. One of the machines suddenly bleeped loudly, causing her to jump and accidentally hit some sort of switch. "A.I. activated" the computerized voice spoke again. Lianna began to look around frantically, unsure of what to do. All of the machines attached to the man began to respond and the young woman was left with no choice but to simply watch and wait.
