Kendra glanced down at her phone, checking the text message her friend Whitney had just sent her to let her know that she was outside of her house. That night, she planned to go out to one of the clubs downtown with a couple of her friends, as she did most weekends. Grabbing her purse, which contained her money, lipstick to touch up with, and two mini absolut liquor bottles, Kendra made her way out of her room and down the stairs. Normally, getting drinks at the club wasn't a problem. Of course, at 18 years old, her and her friends were underaged, but it was easy to flirt their way into getting alcohol if they wanted it badly enough.

"I'm leaving." she spoke to her father as she walked into the living room, leaning down over the couch and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before heading towards the door. Her father glanced over, his eyes gazing over her to make sure her outfit was appropriate. He knew she was going out, although she didn't specify where. For the most part, he trusted her, and overall, she was a good kid. Of course, she did typical teenage things like sneak out here and there, and go out drinking with her friends. Other than that though, she had never gotten into trouble. Of course, with her father being the police chief of the town, there was only so much she could do without him finding out about it. "Don't be too late." her father told her, focusing his attention back to the television. "Call me if you need anything." he added, giving her a wave. "I will, dad. Love you!" she responded before walking out the door, spotting her friends car in the driveway.

The drive to the club was only about ten minutes, Kendra happily chatting with her friends throughout the ride. As they arrived, parking in a nearby parking garage, she unzipped her black leather jacket that had been covering the rather revealing tube top she had worn beneath, knowing her father wouldn't have approved if he had witnessed the shirt that revealed more than it seemed to cover. Already though, she seemed to be receiving approving glances from the men within the club as the group stepped inside. It didn't take long before the girls all had drinks, happily dancing and flirting to earn them for free. It was all in fun, at least to them. Things never really seemed to go too far between them and the guys in the club, only occasionally leading to a make out session in the bathroom. That night though, Kendra hadn't seemed particularly interested in flirting. She'd gotten a drink, and after downing that and the contents of one of the bottles within her purse, she was feeling a slight buzz coming her way. She never really aimed to get full on drunk, simply enjoying enough alcohol to allow her to dance freely, all of her cares and worries temporarily slipping away as her body moved along to the music.

Josh Cage was the guy you’d go to when you wanted drugs. He had many businesses but he was a hard man to be pinned to any given dirty crime. It was good how he had managed to hide all his dirty acts behind a business that was legit up front. It was nearly impossible and a newly appointed chief had finally nailed him. It was small but he did and Gregory knew that he should have been more careful. After spending wholesome amount of money, he as sentenced for only two years. The crime he had committed should have gotten him at least 10 years behind the bars.

Even though it was jail, he had all the luxury inside and so, for the most part, he didn’t even feel disconnected from the world outside. While he was inside, his business continued to run on its own since he had everything set to continue even in his absence. Those two years actually did give him tactics on how to improve his illegal businesses.

He was 42 years old and yet he could pass as someone in their early 30s. Past two years, he’d been devising a plan on how to get revenge on the police chief who was hell-bent on bringing Gregory behind bars. He had one of his men tailing the Chief for a while and he was surprised to see the results that were in his hands. The dossier he stared at for the past few months, it was time to finally put his plans in motion.

He was looking forward to this day. He’d learned the police chief had an eighteen year old daughter, Kendra, and when he saw her pictures, he thought she was cute. Using her as a bait, he wanted to bring disgrace to the Chief. How he would go about doing this, he wasn’t sure. After getting out of the jail, he caught up with his business and a week later, he was finally back to doing nothing but his business continued to run on its own. With that, he started following the girl, seeing what and how he would have a window of opportunity and when it would present, he would grasp it. The trap was set and the plans were in motion. NO…he wasn’t going to kidnap her. It would be too easy. He wanted to hurt the guy where it would hurt the most.

The new club in the city had opened up. It was fancy and an expensive one to get in to. Of course, Josh was the supplier at the club. He had one of his guys supply passes to the girl called Whitney. It was so easy how these girls jumped up, learning they can get in for free with the passes he had provided. The cover itself was 30 for girls and 50 for guys. It wasn’t just any club but only people who could afford it were present. He watched where the girls were standing by the bar before making their way onto the club. He had his eyes set only on one girl…one with a black leather jacket. Besides, if he wasn’t up to this dirty deed and was occasionally passing by this club, he was sure that that very same girl would be the one that would have caught his attention for sure. There was something about her that drew him but he wasn’t here for some love story or love at first sight.

The girl was way younger than the girls he gets involved with. Though, he did notice how her body had grown into that of a woman’s. He went ahead and sat himself around the area where the girls hung out earlier, simply waiting for Kendra to return to and he knew she would. All the energy she was burning on that floor, she’d need something to quench her thirst soon. And when she would, he’d have bartender serve a glass of water and also a glass of whatever she had earlier, allowing her a choice to pick from. He was sharply dressed in a causal suit since he did have a class and a reputation to maintain. Then again, he was in this persona so he was dressed his part.

The night seemed to go by quickly, Kendra and her friends having been at the club for well over an hour. It hadn't really felt as though they'd been there that long though, the girl focused on her friends, the music, the dancing. By far, this new place was better than the clubs they normally frequented down town. The music was better, the drinks stronger, the people looking fresher. Mentally, she made a note that she would have to ask Whitney how she had gotten the passes to get in in the first place.

It wasn't long before all the dancing and the body heat of those squeezed onto the dance floor began getting to her, the room seeming to get hotter by the minute. She hadn't really intended to drink more than she already had, but it was safe to say that she needed another one. Slipping away from her friends and over to the bar, she didn't even have the chance to sit down and tell the bartender what she wanted before he began scrambling to make a drink. Within just a minute or two, he had placed a water, and a new mixed drink in front of her. For a moment, she was impressed, thinking perhaps he had simply remembered her from the first drink she had gotten, but as she reached for her bag to pay him, he quickly stopped her.

"Drinks paid for." he said simply, focusing his attention on making a drink for someone sitting a couple of stools away from her. "By whom?" she asked, raising her voice so that he could hear her above the music. "I don't ask questions, I just make drinks." the man responded simply, though he shot a glance over towards a man sitting back in one of the booths. Kendra's eyes darted over towards him, though she quickly looked away as she realized that he had been staring directly at her. Her cheeks flushed slightly, though she wasn't sure why. It wasn't like men hadn't bought her drinks in the past, but even then, something looked different about him. He was older, and looked to be far more established than the guys that she hung around with.

Trying not to dwell too long on the thought, Kendra picked up the water, taking a few sips of it before grabbing the mixed drink and doing the same. Both were cold, topped with ice, yet her body and the room still felt just as hot. With her drink in hand, she stood from the bar, intending to go out the back entrance to stand outside for a minute or two and get some air. As she stood, her eyes briefly gazed back over to the man that had supposedly bought her the drink she held, offering him a small smile before making her way towards the door. It was possible that he could have taken the gesture as an invitation to follow, while that wasn't what she had intended it to be.

Squeezing past people, nearly spilling her drink a couple of times, she finally made it towards the back exit. She drew in a sharp breath as she stepped outside, the cool air of the night hitting her. Instantly, it helped cool her down, but she still decided to sit outside for a minute, enjoying a moment of quiet before she would go back inside. Leaning back against the building, she brought her drink back up to her lips, the alcohol already helping to revive her buzz.

It was funny how he had taken care of things that this couldn’t be traced back to him at all. Even if Kendra were to ask Whitney, her friend would really have no good answer because that day, a young guy was paid off for distributing good hundred passes in the mall. It was set so that Whitney was one of the girls who got enough passes to take her friends to this new club. One of Josh’s good men overlooked the process to make sure the task was completed properly.

Josh watched a few guys approach a group of ladies but he was glad to see that none really made it through Kendra. It was just about keeping an eye on the young girl and wait until she takes a break from dancing. Besides, she’d have to soon since the heels she was wearing. He did like the show of her midriff, one that he would want to take a close look at, given how fit her frame seemed. Josh wasn’t going to spy on the girl from the corner of his eyes like any guy would when checking out a girl. Matter of fact, he decided he was going to be direct with her, staring right at her to let her know he was looking.

He wanted to put on a spot and see how she would respond. At least she knew who was buying her drink. He was expecting her to come to him but if she didn’t, he had other plans. He continued to watch her even though she turned to tend to her drinks, drinking some water at first and then her mixed drink before she stood from the bar and turned to walk towards the back entrance. In the process, she did glace back at him, smiling softly before she disappeared. He wasn’t the one to go after girls and he was pretty sure that if he played hardball, she would eventually come to him.

Though, he knew how crucial it was to make a move since this was the stepping stone of his little plan he had for her dearest daddy. Josh gave it a minute before approaching her because he didn’t want to be seen as some pervert. He really wasn’t. Finally, he stood tall and made his way towards the back entrance and stepping out, he noticed her to the side, leaning against the building. Noticing her frame from the side, he admired her for a second or two before speaking out loud, “It’s not safe to accept drinks for strangers. What if I had added a roofie in your drink...” He said and extended his hand, holding a napkin towards her because he had noticed spilling a bit of her drink on her hands as she walked through the crowd. He didn’t step towards her just yet, wanting to see if she was even receptive to his presence or would curse him off and leave him. What she did next really was the key to the ways he would approach her further.

Kendra closed her eyes as she leaned back, still feeling the music thumping from where she stood outside. She hummed along to it softly, though she planned to at least finish her drink before going back inside. She could feel the alcohol pulsing through her, knowing that by the time she did go back inside, she would be ready to go all over again. Her friends probably hadn't even noticed she was gone yet, considering they had already consumed far more drinks than she had.

As the sound of the door opening hit her ears, the music momentarily getting louder before it shut again, Kendra turned her head, catching sight of the man that had bought her the drink she was holding. She expected him to introduce himself, but instead chuckled at what he did say. "Nice to meet you too.." she teased, laughing slightly as she reached out and took the napkin from him. Clearly, she didn't seem too concerned. It was sort of funny he had mentioned it though, her fathers words ringing in her ears. The man had always told her to keep an eye on her drinks, and never accept them from strangers. It was good advice, yet his daughter never took it, somehow feeling as though she was untouchable.

"I watched the bartender make it." she told him, her eyes resting upon him as she brought the cup back up to her lips and took another sip. "So I'm not really concerned." she added with a smile, though if the man truly had slipped something into it, she probably would't have noticed. "I'm Kendra." she introduced herself, her eyes still gazing upon the man standing in front of her. Normally, she wasn't that good at talking to people, especially strangers. Nor was she bold enough to stare at them so blatantly, just as he had previously done with her. The alcohol helped though, giving her a bit of liquid courage.

For the second time, she found herself wondering about the man, trying to figure out what it was about her that had sparked his interest. Of course, she was used to attracting attention, but usually from younger, less mature looking guys that expected to get into her pants the second she accepted a drink from them. For all she knew, this guy could be the same, but there was something about his demeanor that somehow made him stand out from all the rest.

While he had personally taken initiative to see his plan through with Kendra, he had a side plan working its way to clear out the competition or should he say cock-blocking friends that may prove to be of disturbance in near future by providing free drinks to them. He couldn’t afford a goof up, not tonight. He’s waited for it for so long. The whole reason why hadn’t noticed Kendra being gone for too long because his crew had made their way to them, dancing with them and buying them drinks. It was so easy when there’s a slut amongst the group, Whitney being a big one. It only took one to spoil all anyways.

He let out a smirk from the corner of his lips, hearing the girl taunt him as he hadn’t introduced himself. It actually made him not want to, not yet at least. He let the napkin slip when she grabbed it from his hand. He curiously looked at her, noticing the girl and how she was full of excitement and mischief.

He cocked his brows at her when she spoke, shifting his head to the side before he finally stepped forward, pushing his hands in the pockets of his pants. “Well, you didn’t have your eyes on him all the time…” he smirked, indicating how he had noticed her looking his way. He curiously watched her, wanting to see how she would take that comment and if she would admit she was looking his way or not.

“It’s a nice name. Going back to the grave danger you are in…” he smirked, “Uh, well, I have added something to your drink. It seems it’s already working. I am telling you this because I want you to know and feel it. You giving me your name is just the beginning. Soon, you will ask me to take you back inside to dance with you. You would tell me how you’re glad that you met me so little boys would leave you alone for the night.” He shrugged her shoulders and looked at her, “So yeah, you see, we have a big problem.” He chuckled, looking down at the younger girl who he wanted to learn more about the more he looked at her.

Her laughter filled the air again, her smile reaching her eyes as she gazed back up at him. "I'm sooo scared." she spoke sarcastically, her fear obviously nonexistent as she brought her drink but up to her lips, finishing the last couple of sips before dropping the plastic cup to the ground. "Maybe I was planning on doing all of that anyway." she added, a bit of a mischievous grin forming on her lips.

While she hadn't paid attention to any other guys that night, she shamelessly flirted with him. Of course, it wasn't the first time something like this had happened. Sometimes she would play along, dance with one guy in particular for most of the night, maybe even have a quick make out session with him before she slipped away and went home. It never really went farther than that though. Picking up guys at the club had never really been her kinda thing, though she still couldn't help that feel there was something different about this man.

After a moment, she stood from where she had been leaning against the wall, walking over to him. Placing her arms on his shoulders, they slowly moved around his neck, allowing her to pull herself closer to him. Standing on the tips of her toes, she leaned forward to speak into his ear. "I'm so glad I met you, so all those little boys will leave me alone for the night." she whispered with a smile, repeating his own words. "Won't you take me back inside to dance?" she asked, pulling back slightly so that she could gaze up at him, biting her lip lightly as she awaited his response.

Her smile was definitely viral. He couldn’t help but smirk, holding back his smile as he tried to keep a straight face as she joked back. He tried to keep an evil and mean look about his face, “You should be, Kendra.” He nodded cocking one of his brows, looking all serious but it was also nonexistent. He didn’t flick her gaze away from her face when he heard the plastic cup meet the ground and instead, he just watched her grin.

The way her lips perked into a grin, her eyes shrinking a little as she smiled, he loved it all. He had no idea how far this would go but if he didn’t, he had other ways to get what he wanted out of tonight. Though, there was something about her really made him want to go slow and steadily, seeing how it would turn out. He’d learned from her file that she wasn’t some slut so when she started flirting with him, he just found that to be a part of her nature.

He was a little surprised when he watched her stand away from the wall and walk over to him. He was wearing a fine suit and he didn’t want to ruin it by leaning against the wall. But when she came around to place her arms on his broad shoulders, he listened to her whisper. He couldn’t help but inhale her sweet aroma, liking the way she smelled. He chuckled hearing her speak, liking how she posed as a challenge than some bimbo. For some reason, he wanted to go along with this as he was also enjoying this.

She had successfully peaked his interest as he then looked down at her when she pulled back slightly. Though, her weight had added on to make him lose his balance a little so he used one of his legs to bend at the knee and guard of their weight as one of his hand came to rest on the wall behind him. His other hand came to rest on her waist, realizing how slim framed she was. He glared back at a black Lincoln in the alley, not far away, “I guess I could postpone my plans of taking you back home after you’d pass out from drugs I have just given you.” He hissed as if an opportunity was missed, “Besides, it will take a while before it works so it’s important to misguide you until then.” He said as he grinned, “This hand…is never letting yours go for the night.” He said and kicked himself off the wall as his chest brushed into her torso as he turned on his heels to go back inside. He hand her hand as he pulled the door open and soon warm breeze with loud music welcomed them in.

Kendra let out another laugh as he spoke to her, her body naturally leaning into his. She didn't know why, but she felt strangely comfortable with him, despite the fact that he was a complete stranger to her. Perhaps it was simply the alcohol. "I think I can live with that." she told him, grinning as she followed him back inside. The moment the music blasted her ears, her body felt the irresistible urge to dance. It was something she had always loved doing, and the alcohol in her system only seemed to make her moves and actions bolder.

With his hand still in hers, she stepped in front of him, pulling him along behind her as she made way to the dance floor. She flipped her head back for a brief moment, offering him one of her infectious smiles before she continued on. She didn't turn back to face him as they reached the dance floor, but instead simply began to move her body, her hips expertly moving to the beat of the music. Using her grip on his hand to pull him closer to her, she allowed her body to move against his, her actions almost sensual as she danced against him.

From across the room, she caught sight of one of her friends, who gave her a knowing glance as she took in the sight of her Kendra dancing with the older man. Flashing a smile in her friends direction, she puckered her lips, as though she was blowing her a kiss, before turning her gaze away and purely focusing on dancing and the man that stood behind her. She knew that her friends would be surprised by her choice as she allowed her body to move in junction with the man's whose name she still didn't know, but she didn't care what they thought in that moment. Instead, she focused on the way it felt having him so close to her, leaning back in to him as she felt his hand move to her waist.

He was surprised to see how natural this came between the two. He couldn’t tell if she flirted with everyone like this or it was just that she was doing with him. He would love to find that out because she did dress a little provocatively tonight. He wondered if her daddy knew what she was doing. Hell, if he had snapped a selfie of them right now, her father would be raiding in here in less than half an hour. Though, that wouldn’t hurt him and Josh really wanted to hurt him badly.

He led her way inside the club and scoffed when she stepped ahead of her and started to guide him in. Such a lively girl she was and despite their age difference, he felt as if he was in college and just around her age. Speaking of which, she obviously didn’t care about his age and that actually made him feel okay about doing this. He always feared that if he went this route, he might not stand a tiny chance because she might not even find this something to be exciting about.

When she turned to look at him over her shoulders, passing that smile, he noticed her pink lips and her pearly white teeth as her hair cascaded down one side of her face, making her look all the more sultry. He smiled back at her. Once they cut through the small crowd, he watched her starting to sway her hips as he felt the pull from her hands and he gladly lined up behind her. He didn’t hold back as he wanted to make it clear what he wanted with her. He was tall and so his hips lined up just a little above the rump of her ass as her back was pressed into his chest.

His hands quickly moved to her waist, holding one of her hands as well as he placed them on her waist. He could see she was looking far away to some girl and he chuckled. He loved how things were falling in his favor and him telling the truth was spicing up their meeting. He grabbed her free hand, interlacing his fingers with hers as he snaked his hand around to her front and pulled her into his frame before he whispered in his ears, “And, I certainly can’t allow you to talk to your friends. Can’t have them messing up my game if I am planning to steal you away for the night.” He said and actually kissed her ear before swiftly turning her around, lifting her up slightly off the floor. Now, they both had their backs turned towards her friend. “YOU ARE MINE. I have been eyeing you for the past few hours and plans are already in motion. Just waiting for that darn drug to kick in!” he clicked his tongue and moved his hips in sync with hers, surprising her with his dancing skills. He knew enough to give a girl good company when on the dance floor.

Any care or worry that could have potentially been lingering in Kendra's mind slipped away as she danced, their bodies in sync as the two moved to the beat of the music. She was almost surprised at how well he moved, his skills complementing her body as she danced along with him. She found herself laughing slightly as he told her he couldn't have her sneaking off the her friends, though the smile that was on her lips faded slightly as he turned her away, his next uttered words hitting her ears.

He had seemingly been joking with her about the drink since she had first spoken to him that night, but for the first time, she found herself wondering if perhaps he had slipped something inside of it. Though her back was facing him, he would feel her hesitation as her movements slowed, a look of uncertainty coming across her face. "You're gonna freak me out if you keep talking like that." she told him, laughing slightly, though it was clear that the sound didn't seem as natural as it had before.

Surely, she was simply psyching herself out, at least that was what she tried to convince herself. The drink had seemed to hit her harder than the rest, and the room was spinning lightly around her. She hadn't thought much of it up until that moment though, suddenly wondering if maybe he had been telling the truth this whole time rather than simply joking around with her. She quickly tried to push the thought away, knowing that realistically, it was just the alcohol that was making her this way. She had nothing to worry about. Even then though, she couldn't seem to shake the sudden uneasiness that she now felt towards the man that held her against him.

Her hands reached down to his, gently trying to pry them off of her body. She tilted her head back slightly, smiling up at him as though she was trying to hide any uncertainty that she now felt. "I, um..I'm gonna go to the restroom." she told him, trying not to look panicked as she seemed to have trouble escaping his grip.

Even Josh lost himself for a moment as they danced, genuinely liking this girl who was full of energy. It would be really nice to have a girl like that in his life he thought, even though he wasn’t the one to settle down. Their bodies moved in sync as they moved to the beat of the music. Her frame moved with ease in his hands as if she was very flexible. He thought immediately about the gym she attends, thinking her working out really had her become flexible and fit.

He was only joking with her. Actually, he was joking to her but she’d have not way of knowing some of this was well planned by him. He wasn’t worried about her friends because they weren’t in any state to keep an eye on Kendra. They could barely keep them in check, especially Whitney now that she had a few drinks for her own with the guy she was dancing.

He could feel some uncertainly in the way she moved and then heard her speak. He was loving this for an odd reason and that’s why he couldn’t allow for doubts to enter her mind. He quickly let go off her and swiftly stepped in front of her. To give her the benefit of the doubt, he lift his hands off of her, holding it up closer to his face, palms facing her way, “Okay okay. I back off. I mean I certainly don’t want to freak you out. It’s just that we were having a good time.” He said and looked at her face.

He admitted to himself he was holding her tightly but that wasn’t his intentions just yet. He also knew that she didn’t have to go to the restroom and was making it up. “Don’t…” he said. He took a step back, “I didn’t mean to scare you. You have my words that nothing was added to your drinks.” He said and looked down at her. A step back was intent for him show her she nothing to worry about from him.

Matter of fact, he was going to leave her alone OR at least that’s what he was going to make it seem, “You don’t have to make up some excuse to go to the bathroom to get away from him. I will step off of the dance floor. You can stay here. You are only trying to get away from me it seems. I just want you to know I mean no harm.” He said all this over the loud music so she can hear him. And in that moment, he really motioned to turn on his heels, thinking if she doesn’t stop him, his game would be over and then it would be him just forcing his way into kidnapping her. And that, he really didn’t want to. It would make this chase very short. He was starting to enjoy herself, her true self. And he wouldn’t have it any other way if he had a chance.

Kendra seemed genuinely surprised by his words, noting the way he put distance between them to try and offer her a sense of comfort. Within no time, she suddenly felt stupid for even being concerned in the first place. He continued to show her that he was different than the other guys she normally came across in places like that. She was used to guys wanting one thing, and doing anything to try and get it. Perhaps she had just psyched herself out, thinking that he somehow would prove to be like everyone else.

"No, wait!" she called after him, following after him and gripping his arm to keep him from wandering any further. It was as though the idea of him leaving bothered her, not liking the thought of him wandering off and finding someone new to converse with. She didn't understand it, but she wanted to keep him there for herself, her previous doubts already having slipped away.

Having stopped him, she moved in front of him, her eyes once again staring up into his. "I was just..being stupid." she admitted with a soft laugh, a bit of a blush on her cheeks. "I don't want you to go." she added, her hands moving back up to his shoulders as her body moved in close to his again, the girl hoping that she somehow hadn't managed to ruin whatever it was the two had shared. There was just something about him, something she couldn't place. Perhaps it was the way he seemed so inexplicably drawn to her. Either way, she didn't want him to slip away, not yet.

Josh really poured his heart out to her, hoping that should get him back on the game. She did whatever any girl would do in her shoes, as long as she wasn’t some slut wanting a man to take her back to his place. She was different and posed a challenge. His plans continuously had changed, time and time again. He even had two guys ready to take her away only if he gestured them too.

He put some distance between the two to show he wasn’t going to pose a threat to her. He smirked the side of his face that wasn’t visible to her as he had already turned a little already and when she called out to him, he looked down at her hand which grasped his.

His gaze moved from her hand on his arm to her shoulders and her face in a slow motion as he lifted his head to look at her. He couldn’t help but feel the need to just sweep her off her feet and plant his lips on hers. Of course, that would make him seem like any other guy hitting on her and he’d understood why he stood out to her. It was because he was different. And it was her who made him different.

When she admitted she was being stupid, over thinking everything, he nodded no, “You had every right. Besides, it is getting late and I should go.” He said turning his wrist to check the time on his fancy watch, “But…I can’t just leave you all available for these silly little boys.” He chuckled as he turned around, cocking his glance at few boys in near proximity, “So I will stay with you as long as you here or excuse your way away from me, trying to go to a restroom.” He teased her as he stood facing her and this time, he reached to hold both of her hands and then brought them around his neck. He moved his hands to rest on her waist before lifting one hand for a few seconds, enough to twirl few strands of hair and placed them behind her ears, replacing it on her waist. He stood there like a shield and she’d know it.

There was an obvious look of relief in her eyes as he accepted her answer, telling her that she'd had every right to have been cautious. If anything, that only seemed to make him more appealing to her. It was somewhat of a strange feeling, never having gotten a notion like this about someone, especially someone that she had met at a club.

For a moment, she almost looked a bit disappointed as he told her he needed to go, though her eyes quickly lit back up as he told her he would stay as long as she wished for him to. She let out another sparkling laugh, biting her lip as she stared up at him. "I appreciate that." she told him, allowing him to move her arms around his neck. She seemed entirely at ease as she rested in his arms, her breathing catching slightly in her throat as his he reached up to push her hair out of her face. It was such a simple action, yet it made her feel like a little kid who just learned that their crush liked them back.

"As much as I don't want to, I'll have to go soon as well." she admitted, having caught a glimpse of the time when he had checked his watch. "My dad will freak out if I'm home too late. Especially if he knew what I was doing." she said with a light laugh, referring to the fact that she was standing in the arms of a much older man in a nightclub that she shouldn't have even been attending in the first place. What she didn't know in that moment, was that it went far deeper than that.

"But maybe we can see each other again?" she asked, a hopeful look in her eyes as she stared up at him. Whether he knew it or not, it was the first time she had ever suggested meeting up with someone that she had met while she was out at the clubs. Of course, she had met her fair share of guys, though none of them had ever been impressionable enough for her to want to see again. This man, however, was different.

He was saying the exact words she wanted to hear from him. Though, he wasn’t making it up but he genuinely meant it. He wondered what went on in her head and what he can do to her tonight that he may have an upper hand in this. There was a slight possibility that nothing may happen but he couldn’t allow that. He’s worked hard and waited too long to get here.

He did notice the look of disappointment in her eyes when he told her he had to go and that sort of backfired on him. He said it just to let her know that he was staying back for her. He smiled softly when she told him she appreciated him staying and added that even she needed to leave shortly. He was faced with two options as the new situation arrived; one, she goes home with him nothing in his hand against her father or two, he can convince her to go with him for at least half an hour.

He leaned in too close. It was almost as if another little push and their lips would be brushing one another’s, “And what exactly are you doing?” he asked her and he had some idea what she was talking about and why she was concerned. At least she didn’t pull her hands back when he had them placed around his neck and moved his to rest on her waist.

He cocked his brows at her when she suggested they see each other again before flashing an approving smile at her. “I would like that.” He said and added, “But I want you to trust me tonight. Can you do that?” he looked right in her eyes, not dancing while everyone around them did. He waited to hear her answer and only then, he could say what he wanted to say. He wanted to take her back at his place which wasn’t far from there. He wanted to show her one of his condo that was way up high, overlooking the city. Of course, it would take some convincing and that’s why he asked her to trust him.

She considered his question for a moment as he asked her what it was that she was doing, though surely he had to know what she had meant. She was standing in the arms of a stranger, an older man whose name she didn't even know yet. Certainly, it would have been frowned upon in her father's eyes, yet the man seemed to convince her, without even trying, that she wasn't doing anything wrong.

The same smile she had already given him so many times crept back up onto her lips as he told her he would like seeing her again, the thought giving her butterflies in her stomach. She kept her eyes on his as he uttered his next words, biting her lip slightly as she considered them. There was something inside of her that told her not to trust him this soon, reminding her that she barely knew him. That didn't change the fact that she wanted to trust him though, and found herself pushing any worries that she might have had aside.

"I can do that." she responded softly, her eyes still gazing up into his as though he was holding her in some sort of hypnotic gaze. His lips were still so close to her own, feeling the warmth of his breath against her skin. It was so tempting to lean in and kiss him, though she seemed frozen, as though she was waiting for him to react before she did anything.

Oh, he knew what she was doing. The pair had a lot in contrast and the height difference and the size difference wasn’t the only two but just the two of few, including their age. It was true, she didn’t know his name but that was the fun part of it. The girl didn’t know anything about this stranger and yet, he had managed to convince the girl to trust him.

The question was asked and it was only a matter of time, she’d reply back. Meanwhile, he watched the very same smile creep upon her face, watching those pert lips curl into a captivating smile. He’d want to push his tongue through the gap between her lips and graze her teeth while it would pass right into her mouth dance with her tongue. The thought crossed his mind and yet again when he looked right in her eyes, holding her gaze so strongly as he was barely an inch away from her face.

The two breathed same air and expelled their warm breath, his hitting her face and her chest. He wondered what would happen if he’d lean in and kiss her lips. Perhaps, she wanted him to do just that and it was as expected. But, tonight was anything but. Tonight was about being and doing the unexpected thing. So taking that moment as they stood, froze in their stance, hearing her answer, a smile crept upon his face as well. He quickly turned around and started guiding her off the dance floor. Before they knew, they were walking through the small passageway she had led him through earlier. He pushed the door open and started walking towards his black Lincoln. His driver was already in it and seeing him, he stepped out to hold his door open. He simply ushered her towards it, placing his hand over the small of her back after letting her hand go, letting her enter and then he’d enter right behind her…only if she didn’t ask him question. That’s why he asked her if she could trust him and she had said yes. So, it was about putting that theory to a test.

Kendra seemed to feel herself leaning in closer, but before anything could be done, she felt him lean back, grabbing her hand and pulling her along with him as he guided her out the same door they had used before. She thought he had been joking when he told her that he had his getaway car there in the back alley, but sure enough the car he had motioned to before was his.

She looked a bit surprised as he guided her inside, her eyes widening as she noted that he had a driver. Turning towards him as he got into the car, she had a grin on her face, one that suggested she was experiencing some disbelief. "You just keep getting more mysterious." she teased, though it was clear that she didn't seem bothered, or scared. In a way, it was somewhat surprising, though she didn't have time to dwell on the thought. Kendra had always been cautious, and for the most part, she was a good kid. That being said, her actions as she rode off to some unknown location with a complete stranger were something she never would have seen herself doing. But even then, she didn't seem concerned.

"So, are you going to tell me where we're going, or is that just going to be another surprise?" she asked, tilting her head slightly as she leaned back against the seat, offering him a sideways grin. She truthfully was curious, her heart beating a bit faster than normal, though it was from anticipation, rather than nerves.

Josh believed that she wouldn’t have stopped him if he had leaned into her to steal a kiss in that moment. Though, giving in at that time seemed so easy and that’s what kept him motivated. So, instead, he ushered her out to the back and into his fancy black Lincoln that was small and yet, luxurious.

Once she’d enter the car, she’d notice how spacious it was and even had a bucket with wine and other liquor on the center floor, highly selected choices of his. He watched her tease him just as he entered the car and he straightened his sleeves before settling in those comfy leather seat.

“I guess you bring it out of me Kendra.” He said tipping over to her side before reaching down to grab a bottle of wine to pour some wine in two glasses, “I know you’ve had a lot to drink already. So hands off the hard liquor. On the other hand, this will not do anything.” He said and smiled at her, pouring two glasses and passing one to her, “I did not mix anything in it.” He said and looked at her.

He chuckled at her, “You already know the answer to that but I will answer it regardless. It’s a surprise. But…” he leaned a bit closer, placing his hand under her chin to make her look at him just when she looking at the luxurious interior, “…don’t worry. The place isn’t far. The moment you say you want to leave, my driver will bring you right back here or even drop you home. Your call.” He let his hand linger under her chin a bit longer, almost as if brushing his thumb underside of her lips. He said and sipped on his glass of wine, one of the finest and expensive, way much better than the mixed drinks these younger generation drank. He was surprised that she was pretty calm for a girl who almost freaked out earlier. He liked it.

Her amazement hadn't yet ceased as he proceeded to pour the two of them a glass of wine, the girl blushing slightly as he handed it to her and told her that he hadn't put anything in it. "What a relief." she teased back, slowly sipping the wine as she gazed up at him.

His words only seemed to strengthen her curiosity, wondering just what it could be that he was planning to show her. Already, she was amazed, so she honestly didn't know what else to be expecting. It was obvious that he seemed to live a far more luxurious lifestyle than she was used to, and it made her want to know more about him. She wanted to know what he did for a living, what sorts of activities he enjoyed, and why it was that someone as perfect as he seemed was interested in her. Of course, finding out his name probably would have been the best start.

A soft sigh left her lips as she tried to quiet her mind, focusing rather on him as his thumb gently brushed across her lips. She couldn't explain it, but she had the urge to be close to him again, wanting to feel his body against hers. Of course, there had been other times where she had craved someones touch, but this seemed to be entirely different.

"I suppose I'll just have to wait and see then." she said with a tiny smirk, raising her glass back to her lips and taking another sip of the wine, her mind running wild with anticipation as her eyes gazed out the window.

He held the glasses in his hands and one filled with wine half way through, he passed on to her and sipped from his glass of wine. Watching the girl from the glass as he tipped it to his lips, watching her blush and smiling a bit after hearing her comment. “There goes my chance.” He said as he twisted his tongue in his mouth to savor the taste of the fine liquid trickling down his throat.

If she thought she had seen everything and had no idea what more he could show her, she’d definitely in for a treat. He wasn’t trying to win her over by showing her the luxury but it seems he really had no other way as he was in the middle of it all. Matter of fact, he wasn’t even trying to win her over earlier in the night but now, he was genuinely interested in her WILLINGNESS if she had to offer it.

Most part of him was mysterious and he aimed to keep it that way. It would give her a task to find him after tonight and keep her curious. He brushed her lips with his thumb lightly enough not to smear her lipstick with it. “Lucky you Ms. Kendra because where I want to take you is not too far. Matter of fact, we should be arriving there in less than 5 minutes.” He said as he saw they were only two blocks away. “You better not waste that wine.”

He told her but even she knew it was an expensive wine from the way it would taste on her tongue. Soon, the car came to a stop and he had finished his share of wine but waited for her to gulp down. When she was ready, he stepped out from his side and made his way around to her side, offering his hand to her, he stood there tall, just like the building behind him. “The car will be right here when you come back and decide to head home or the club.” He said and looked at her driver who knew better to stay there.

He ushered her through the revolving doors and into a fine lobby full of mirrors and chandelier up in the ceiling. The security guy sitting at the desk quickly moved before them to walk ahead to press a button for an elevator and by the time they arrived, the doors opened up for them. He slowed down just a bit to place his hand on the small of her back, guiding her inside before he punched in a code before pressing the only large button with a letter P. It’s a 31 stories tall building with the top floor being a penthouse. He took a step back to stand next to her and looked down at her, still holding her hand as he smiled down at her. The moment the elevator would come to a stop, she’d realize it opened directly into his penthouse suite. So luxurious and neatly organized with an amazing view to the city. Stepping outside of it, he hold her hand even strongly, not letting her go, “So, you’re ready?” He asked her before guiding g her towards a glass wall where everything seemed so small.

Kendra smirked at him as he told her not to waste the wine, her eyes locked on his as she tipped her head back and finished the last of it. If anything, it helped to calm her nerves, though she wasn't necessarily nervous because of the fact that he was taking her somewhere unknown, but it was more of the nervousness that someone would feel on their first date with the person of their dreams.

She was quiet as they pulled up to the building, one she had seen and admired many times, but had never entered. Was this where he lived? Her eyes wandered around as he led her into the lobby, taking in the luxury of their surroundings. She didn't say much in the elevator, though the silence wasn't uncomfortable. If he were to look at her, he would be able to see that her mind was busy, a plethora of thoughts moving in and out of her head as she tried to take in everything that was happening. It almost seemed like something that she would have seen in a movie, not something that was actually happening to her right then and there.

Her silence continued as the two stepped into the penthouse, her grip on his hand unknowingly tightening as he guided her forward, her eyes doing all the talking as she stared out of the glass windows that gave them the most spectacular view of the city she had ever seen. After a moment, she pulled her hand from his, moving farther forward until she was standing right before one of the windows, her eyes scanning over the view before her, as though she was trying to take it all in.

"This is amazing." she whispered, resisting the urge to place her hands on the glass, in fear of leaving prints behind. She was unsure of how long she simply stood there, staring down at the city below, but it had to of at least been a couple of minutes before she finally turned back to the man that had brought her there.

He liked everything about her. He liked how she wasn’t some slut that lot of teenagers are. He liked how she wasn’t some immature girl just trying to get down and dirty. He liked how she wasn’t just about the party. There was something inside her that almost screamed at him, as if it was the upbringing and thanked her father for it. Odd but it was the truth.

He watched her sip all of the wine as he laughed at her gesture. The moment they stepped out of the car and moved into the building, he noticed how she was quite. It was true that any girl in shoes would be but she was taking it really well and it was all because of that trust. In the elevator, he gave the needed space as she seemed to be thinking about something but he also noticed that she wasn’t scared.

She was different now. She wasn’t that scared girl she was back at the girl, at the times when things had gotten awkward between the two. And while it would have messed up his game, it actually served to be very fruitful. It strengthen everything that was between the two. The odds of him kidnapping her were long gone and lot of his preplanning he had done had washed away. Luckily, he was a man to think quickly on his feet so he wasn’t worried about it.

He noticed how he had held her hand but the moment they were inside his penthouse, he managed to pull her hand away from him as she quickly moved towards a set of large glass wall. He had nowhere to be and so he slowly walked towards her. He pushed his hands into his pockets and simply stood a step away from, in the background but to the side. While she admired the view outside, he admired the view inside and he simply repeated after her, “It is…amazing.” He said as he admired the awe struck face. NO HURRIES. Simply admiring everything that was about her.

Her eyes remained on him for a moment before she turned back to the window, appearing as though she was stuck in some sort of hypnotic gaze as her eyes continued to simply wander over the city. The view seemed to put her in a state of calm, the girl appearing both content and relaxed, despite being in a place she'd never been with a complete stranger.

After a moment, the thoughts that had been previously silenced seemed to come creeping back into her mind. Slowly, she turned back around, her back facing the window as her eyes gazed over the man that had brought her there. Her lips turned to a smile, as though she couldn't look at him without doing so. And for a moment, she simply gazed over at him, similarly to how she had done with the view of the city. She looked over his face, his body, her eyes taking in the details of his suit before they rose back up to his face.

"Do I get any answers now, or are you gonna keep me guessing?" she teased, pulling her gaze away from him briefly as she walked over to his couch and sat down. Her hair fanned out against the cushions as she leaned back, settling in comfortably, which seemed to show that she didn't appear nervous or scared to be there alone with him. There would be a look of curiosity in her eyes as she stared back up at him, her face alone seeming to ask the questions that she wanted answers to.
