History: Caroline grew up in upstate New York and never wanted for anything. Her family was wealthy and when times on Earth became difficult, they easily managed a slot on board the Neuleben. During the crash, Caroline's parents were killed instantly, however, her older brother managed to survive along with herself. Seeing as she'd been fairly young when they'd left Earth and the cryosleep prevented them all from aging, her brother, Mark, immediately went into action into acting as her guardian on the new planet. He fiercely protected her, shielding her from the hardships everyone was facing as a result of the crash. He helped the group of people who later built the town that would become known as Neuleben--the name a tribute to their vessel that had crashed--so that Caroline would have a place to live that would be safe and secure. When the first zombies arrived, he did his best to protect her from that as well. During one skirmish, only a few weeks back, Mark was accidentally killed leaving Caroline alone and on her own with no one to look out for her any longer. She feels utterly hopeless without him and is now just beginning to realize just how little she knows and how much she needs to learn if she is to survive.
Family: Her parents were Stewart and Katherine Bailey, both deceased having died during the Neuleben crash. She had an older brother, Mark, who was accidentally killed during a skirmish when trying to defend Neuleben against a small swarm of zombies.

Background ~

History: Tephia grew up in the northern regions of Tennessee with her parents and twin brother, Tidus. She and Tidus were very close, him always looking out for and protecting her given that he was slightly older and that she was on the quieter side in comparison to himself. As life on Earth grew more difficult, their family was fortunate enough to find a slot on board the Neuleben--the ship that would search space for a new Earth. Part of that luck was due to the fact that their parents were skilled cardio-thoracic surgeons and thus needed to a fair degree for when the vessel found a new location in which they all could inhabit. So, at the tender age of 15, Tephia and her twin, along with their parents, were put into cryosleep and set on the long voyage in search for a habitable planet in which to live. When the crash occurred, their parents were both killed instantly. Scared and worried, Tephia and Tidus stayed on their own for quite some time before finally joining forces with a group that eventually helped build the town that would later become known as Neuleben, the name a tribute to their vessel that had crashed and carried them to their new home. Tephia was panicked to learn that 2 decades had passed since they'd left Earth on top of the fact that she'd lost her parents. But nothing compared to her panic when she first learned of the 'virus' and what it could 'do'. As she and Tidus stayed in Neuleben, helping the people to build it up, she eventually encountered her first zombies. A small swarm descended upon the people from out of nowhere, one of them biting Tidus. Tidus fell ill and eventually died. Shortly after his death, he turned and was killed again, his body then burned along with the other dead zombie bodies they'd all come across. It was after this encounter that Neuleben began to fortify their walls and Tephia's paranoia grew. She truly felt alone with her brother gone and after having seen him turn into a monster. The zombies terrified like no other creatures ever had and as such she now is trying to learn how to defend herself and survive.
Family: Her parents were Carl and Mary Scully, both deceased having died during the Neuleben crash. She had a twin brother, Tidus, who was bitten by a zombie a couple years back. He had turned, but was taken out by those living in Neuleben.

Background ~

History: Lacey grew up in the foster care system on Earth, moving from home to home and often times living with people she didn't get along with or those who actually abused her in some way. Once she turned 18, she was cast out of the system and onto the streets to fend for herself. She was considered a financial burden given the over population of the planet, not to mention the planet was facing other difficulties regarding finances and resources. When word about the Neuleben reached her, she hoped to find a slot on board, but was immediately rejected. She had no connections or skills that made her valuable enough to send forth to inhabit a new planet, so she was denied. Desperate for a new life, for something, she sneaked on board the ship and once it achieved orbit and then began to set its course for scanning for a new planet, she found an empty cryotube and placed herself into cryosleep. She was fortunate to survive the crash when the vessel went down and managed to find and stay with the group of people who would later build up the town that would become Neuleben. When she first encountered the zombies, she was taken off guard and went into a fit of panic. And though she still isn't the best fighter, she has learned to point and shoot a basic gun and continues to try and improve her skills for survival.
Family: She never knew her parents nor does she know anything about them. Whether or not she has any blood siblings remains a mystery.

She now lives alone in her parents house, caring for the roses her father had taught her how grow and tend to. She now sells them daily in the town square of Inalt so as to make a living. It's a rough life, living literally from hand to mouth, but she will never complain.

History: Charlie grew up in Inalt with her father. She never knew her mother since the woman died when she was still an infant. Her father, being a 'scientist', was always working in his lab. When she was old enough, he would allow her to occasionally assist. Now that he's older and ailing, she fears for him since he can be rather obsessed with his work at times, neglecting his health all together. When not helping her father in the lab, she usually will wander into town looking for items that he can use for his 'work' since he'll have her run errands for him from time to time or just have her get out and about so that she's not wasting away her life like he is. Her father wishes for her to get out and make friends, find a man to marry and have a family with. But she is too paranoid, especially after the incident of the robbery that left her with a scar along her right arm. Though hopefully one day, that will change.

History: Alex was born in Miljoc. Both of her parents died in a carriage accident on the way to Munte when she was 10 years old and since then, she has been living with one of her distant relatives in the city of Inalt. Her relative happens to be involved in politics in Inalt, but she hardly sees him or knows him due to him never being home. As a result of the constant absence, she has a body guard of sorts, James Breckinridge, who constantly looks after her and escorts her everywhere she goes. History: Gen grew up in the desert city of Uscat, raised by both her mother and father. Her mother died when she was young, at the age of seven. At first, she thought her mother died due to some tragic accident, but later realized it was the abuse of her father that had killed the woman. After her mother's death, her father eventually turned the abuse onto her, it steadily growing worse with each passing year. Looking for some means of protection, Gen longed for a relationship with someone who could look out for her and as such, jumped into a situation much too quickly. She was only fifteen at this time. The man ended up being much like her father--abusive, manipulative and self-serving. He took her innocence, coercing her and forcing sex upon her. Eventually, at the age of 17, when the opportunity arose, she ran away from Uscat and joined a traveling circus, traveling with them and training to become an aerialist. History: Al was born on the island of Inchisoare and, like most young common girls, ended up captured by the wealthy so that she could be locked away and trained to become an eventual slave. Once of age, she was presented to her Master, a brutal man who showed her no mercy. He took her innocence without care or concern and left her a quivering heap her first night in his home. Every night, it was the same and every day she suffered his wrath and the consequences of his unsatiable desires not to mention his ridiculous lust for sadism. Unfortunately, he did not understand the concept of limits, thus severely terrifying her to a point where she knew her life and sanity were in danger. After six months of suffering to his 'appetites', she finally managed a plan to escape and sneaked aboard a trading ship that eventually traveled to Tara, docking in Inalt. History: Laela grew up on Helios wanting for nothing and believing that The Illuminati was there for the betterment of the entire solar system. She was taught she should be proud to have relations among them and feel fortunate to be a part of the Inner Sanctum rather than one of the Middle Six or Barbaric Rim. As such, she was very sheltered and most of what happened outside of the Inner Sanctum (and even Helios itself) was kept from her. When older, one of her cousins eventually received a post on the planet Charon. Curious to finally see life outside of Helios, she asks permission to go on a trip to visit him. On the trip, the ship malfunctions and ends up crashing somewhere on the planet's surface. It is presumed she is dead, however she manages to survive.

History: Hal grew up on Helios. Being the son of an Illuminati elite, he was well versed in how they worked in trying to obtain power, control and other such things over the system. He also understood that it didn't stop there, that they wanted to expand and eventually take over the entirety of the Hera Galaxy. In his younger days, he spent some time taking care of and watching out for his younger cousin, Laelestra (Laela), who looked up to him. He never forgot how much she looked up to him either, something he stored away as he got older and corrupted by the ways of the Illuminati and his hunger for power. Eventually, he followed the path his father set before him and rose through the ranks on Helios. When he reached his plateau, his father pleaded he be given position in ruling one of the 12 planets. The Illuminati eventually agreed, via majority vote, to allow him rule over planet Charon. Hal wasn't overly pleased with the decision, but he accepted it. After being stationed out there for several years, he recalled his cousin Laela and just how much she looked up to him. Seeing that she is Illuminati being blood, he plants the desire for her to visit so that he can seduce her in hopes that she'll have sway in convincing her father and other Illuminati elite that he be placed closer to Helios. But when her ship never arrives, he wonders if his plans are lost entirely or… if they'll merely have to be altered...
Family: He is the son of Jace and Carys Quinn. Jace is one of the Illuminati elite on planet Helios. It was through him that Hal traversed the path he did in rising through the political ranks on Helios. When his son reached his plateau, he requested he receive a position governing one of the planets of the system. The Illuminati agreed as a majority that he would be sent to Charon.

History: Reisa was raised on Themis by an average family who did not favor the Illuminati. Living on Themis, however, they had to put up a false front of support while behind closed doors they most certainly did not. Eventually, the Illuminati learned of the defiance and took Reisa away from her parents, placing her in one of their institutions on Themis. Her parents were killed for 'treason' and when it was clear that Reisa was a hopeless case, they decided she wasn't worth the effort to hold her on Themis any longer.
