Molly was born in the early fall of '48 in the baby boom that followed World War 2. Her mother was a teacher and her father had been drafted in to the great war in '42. Molly came around three years after the war ended, and she was her parents second. Her older sister Bonnie was a year older than her, and a little brother, Jack, followed two years after Molly.

Molly ran in to the Cullens a year after the events of BD. Having not really been listening in to vampire gossip, she didn't know that the Volturi had just had an issue with a hybrid - she didn't even know they were a thing until she came upon Renesmee and Bella one day as she was passing through Forks. She hadn't intended to stick around, but the concept of a human/vampire hybrid intrigued her - she showed up the next day at the Cullen's house. They were originally quite nervous - her red eyes left them to believe that she was going to end up being a problem in the area, and the last thing that they needed was a problem.

For a couple months she came around on occasion, never hunting in the direct vicinity of Forks. She was intrigued by watching Renesmee, who was physically 12ish when they first met, grow. It seemed like overnight the was becoming older and older. After two months she stopped coming around regularily, but after a month of travelling she showed up at the door of the Cullen house. She asked them if she could possibly stick around - it had been a while since she was part of a group, and after spending time with them she was starting miss being around others. They offered to take her in, though it was uncomfortable and tense at first. She was younger than all of them, born after the last of them had turned, and she'd been on a fresh blood diet for forty some odd years. She did her best to adjust but there were slip ups, and she found herself radiating towards Jasper due to their issues with human blood. He got it when she slipped up, because he spent a long time on a fresh blood diet and on occasion he'd still find himself threatening to slip up. He taught her coping mechanisms, stuck by her side - especially during the early days.

It's only been a year since she joined the group. She still finds herself slipping, but when she feels like she's going to give in she dashes off and tends to vanish for a couple days. She understands the importance of maintaining a low profile, after all.
