The Only One Not Interested (OnnaOtaku and Josu_T)

She smiled as she sat down in the seat, folding her legs in front of her, yet still staying in her own seat. She set the notebook down on her lap and closed her eyes, straightening her back to think. It was much quieter up here and she was already happy about that. After a minute or two of sitting silently in thought, she began to write, her lips softly moving along with the words she was scribbling down, but no sound came out except for the sound of her pen on paper.

Brian was glad when Alexa stayed quiet as the bus went. He tried to relax for a bit while he had the chance. As time passed he glanced over and saw that Alexa was writing something. Her lips were moving, but making no noise. He figured she must have been writing a song of some sort. He knew she wrote some songs, but he had hoped that she wasn't the one behind most of her current songs. He didn't want the disappointment. He would rather know that someone else wrote that stuff for her and that she had just sold out into the pop music scene.

He sighed and turned to look out the window. He could have looked at what she was writing, but didn't want to know what cliche dance song she was coming up with. He thought of some of the old songs she had written and wished she hadn't moved away from those. But she had. He tried to focus on other things, on what the schedule was once they arrived.

With a soft sigh, Alexa set her pen down on the notebook and leaned back, her head falling back and her eyes closed. She looked exhausted but peaceful at the same time. Slowly, she opened her eyes, watching the ceiling, as she tried to think of an ending to the song. Gently, her fingers drummed on her leg, trying not to bother Brian, but she had to think. And, because she needed to be quiet, she couldn't even hum the song to find out how it was. She just relied on her singing mind instead.

Brian heard the pen stop moving and Alexa's sigh. He looked over at her and saw her just sitting there. He shrugged and looked back out the window. He could hear her fingers drumming. He didn't mind it. It was better than her talking a lot. Part of him found it somewhat nice sitting next to her again, peacefully. The way she was at that moment reminded him a lot of her old self, and not as much of the new Alexa. He liked it. It was too bad she would revert to her new self eventually. He decided to just enjoy the moment while he could.

That was it! She didn't know what, but Alexa now knew the ending to the song! Quickly, a smile crossed her lips and she scribbled out the last few lines before she dropped the pen again and tipped her head to each side, allowing it to loosen and crack. Now she'd just have to put words to the music, but she could do that in the hotel room when she was alone a lot better then she could on the bus. Alexa was just so happy that it was finally done, after nearly a year of writing, she found her muse and had it done.

Brian was surprised to hear the pen furiously scratching away at the paper. He looked over and saw that the song appeared complete. He smiled a little. "So, are you going to want to play that at some point during the tour? If so we should pick the perfect spot for its debut. Just let me know." With that said he leaned against the wall and looked out the front window. They were approaching a town. He checked his watch and figured it was about time to stop for lunch. He got up and went to the driver to tell him to stop in the town and then went back to his seat.

Alexa watched him a little then smiled and stood up, leaving her things in the seat. She just stood in the aisle, watching Brian a little, still smiling towards him. "I was thinking opening night," she told him. "Just for something else special for them. Then do it again a little later then at the end of the tour."

Brian looked at Alexa as she got up. When she suggested when she would play her new song on opening night he was surprised. He thought for a minute and then shrugged. "I guess that would be ok. Do you think you can get the music ready for it by then? It is only a week and a half. If you can get it set to go, then feel free to go ahead with it."

"I'm the only one performing it," she told him with a small shrug. "So there won't be anything wrong with getting it done in time." She smiled, watching Brian carefully. "So maybe toward the end of the show I'll work it in?"

Brian nodded, even though he was not really sure what sort of song it was where she would have no band. The he shrugged. "You can play it whever you want in the program. It is your show and your song." Just as he said that the bus stopped. They were in a parking lot next to a restaurant and a few fast food joints. He looked at their options and then at Alexa. "What do you feel like eating?"

Alexa looked at the options in front of them. "Something in sub form or in form of deep fried. My manager isn't paying attention since he's busy so I want something he'd never allow." She grinned slightly before it faded and she looked towards Brian. "And the idiots back there would eat whatever. That's pretty obvious."

Brian nodded when she told him what she wanted. She mentioned the others on the bus and he shrugged. They didn't matter to him. He only had to keep Alexa happy. "They can go get whatever they want. Let's go. We will get you something very unhealthy." He grinned and got off the bus. He led Alexa over to one of the fast food places and up to the counter where he ordered food for himself and then let Alexa order.

Alexa returned the grin and followed Brian out of the bus. Finally something unhealthy! She ordered just some sort of burger, a double patty of whatever was there, large fries and a drink, of course. She looked towards Brian a little then back towards the cashier. She had made him smile...one goal was reached.

Brian was glad that Alexa seemed happy. She was a lot better to be around. She seemed to have ordered something big and fatty. He didn't think anything of it though. He knew what her manager was like. He paid and then stood back and waited for the food. A few minutes later he got the food and led Alexa over to a table. He gave her the food she had ordered and took his. Without saying anything he simply started to eat.

Alexa said a quick thank you to Brian before she also began to eat, seeming to take her time though. Since she didn't have a manager to take the food away, she had a chance to actually enjoy the food in front of her instead of having to hide it. What a great way to begin a tour, right? She soon finished the burger and took a few drinks before being content with just eating some of the fries that she ordered.

Brian sat and ate his food in silence. He didn't bother enjoying it as much as Alexa and by the time she was done her burger he was done everything. He relaxed and watched her eat ehr fries. She seemed relaxed. It once again reminded him more of what she had been like. It made him not look forward to when they arrived even more. He was convinced that once the tour started she would be back to normal. So he enjoyed it while he could and waited for her to be done her food.

Alexa finished a few minutes later and sat back a bit. "Thanks for the meal," she commented with a smile. "It was great." She felt a bit childish for calling just a simple fast food meal 'great' but after she had been kept away from them for so long, she couldn't help but think of it that way.

Brian waited until Alexa was finally done her food. She thanked him and said it was great. He chuckled and nodded. "I'm glad you liked it. Now, should we get back to the bus before you manager finds you?" He got up from the table and put all their garbage on the tray. He put it in the garbage can and then went toward the door. Once outside he paused, looking around. He tried to find anything that would have them off the bus for a while longer and keep alexa the way she was before she want back to being her new self. Unfortunately he wasn't able to think of anything. He just looked over at Alexa. "Uh, is there anything you want to do before we get back on the bus and back on the road?"

Alexa stood up and followed Brian out of the restaurant, also looking around. "No...Yes," she quickly changed her answer. She wasn't sure what, but she didn't want to go back to that world of touring quite yet. She watched the bus before looking around the stop again. It was normal, plain and welcoming while the bus wasn't. It was the exact opposite. "Not sure what...but I wanna do something else. Just before we have to go back."

Brian was a little surprised by Alexa's response. He took another look around and then spotted something. He grinned and pulled Alexa over to the shop. It was a small souvenir and candy shop. When he got inside he looked around. "Well, let's find some souvenirs and stock up on junk food we can hide from your manager." He started to wander around, looking at things to get. The junk food was because she seemed to be her old self when she got the chance to have junk food.

Alexa grinned at the idea and nodded. She grabbed a few things from the shelves, knowing exactly what she wanted. Once they were all picked out, she returned to Brian's side, the grin still on her face. "Got it," she told him happily. "I'll pay this time, alright?"

Brian just wandered around while Alexa seemed to know what she wanted and how much she wanted of it. She seemed to get thigns she knew. He picked up a few things that she had probably never tried and brought those to the counter as well. He simply shrugged when she said she would pay for it. He was glad that she seemed quite happy with what she had obtained from the shop. Once she had paid for it he smiled. "I can stash all this stuff away for you where your manager won't find it. Just let me know when to get it for you."

Alexa nodded and handed the bag to Brian calmly. "Thanks," she told him and started out of the store. So she had someone to store her candy now. And probably one of the people she would have never thought of on top of that. Brian seemed cold after she first met him, making her feel like that was all he could be. But she guessed she was wrong. When she acted like her old self, he seemed to be friendlier then when she put on the 'fan face', as many of her family called it. It was the act that she showed the fans, the one that wasn't truly her.

Brian took the bag and smiled at Alexa. "It is no problem at all." He figured he was doin his job quite well. If he kept her happy she would perform well. She was making it easier at the moment by being more like what he remembered her as being. He led her out of the store and then back to the bus. He reached into the bag and pulled out some of what he remembered as being her favorite out of what she had bought. He handed it to her and then stepped onto the bus. Her manager was at the back, but they had to wait for some others to return before they could leave. He got settled into his seat and just waited.

Alexa took the candy happily and sat down next to Brian with it, making sure to hide it from her manager. "Mind if I stay here for a bit?" she asked him.
