Living in the Shadows [Kaname Takashi & CharlotteV]

Genesis

"Ah!" The changeling cried as Zane's patience ran out and the other male was soon inside of Genesis. "Zane…" The name came out as a sort of cry as Genesis' knees gave and there was nothing keeping his lover from being fully inside of him. His eyes rolled into the back of his head as his hands grabbed at Zane's sides. He hadn't been completely stretched, but that was part of the pleasure. A little pain went a long way and actually feeling Zane's cock stretch him felt ridiculously amazing.

Genesis had many lovers in his extremely long life, had done everything sexual that someone could possible think of. Some times were really bad while others were really good and being with the younger man beneath him was possibly the best. From friends to bedmates, the two had always clicked on an intimate level. Sex had just made them explore that intimacy more deeply.

Taking one slow breath, Genesis swallowed and opened his eyes. Seeing Zane beneath him, trying so hard not to cum right then and there, was amazing. Gently he gripped the hand at Zane's mouth, pulling it away to direct it his own free hip. Pushing up slightly with his thighs, hands pressed to Zane's own, Genesis enjoyed the slow movement of Zane's cock sliding out of him. Inch by inch, left the changeling gasping and once nothing but the head of his love's cock was inside of him, Genesis released his thighs. The penetration was quicker, more rushed, especially with Zane thrusting up to connect them.

Fast and hard was what Genesis wanted and so fast and hard was what he got. As his ass became less tight, their pace became faster. Zane's hands helped to lift the changeling up and down. Throaty moans filled the room and before long Genesis could feel himself ready to go.

Keeping up the almost frantic pace the two had found themselves in, Genesis moved one of Zane's hands to his own cock. Without much instruction the changeling could feel his lover's fingers wrap around him, pumping along to their thrusts. With the added pleasure of the handjob, it didn't take long for Genesis to cum with a loud moan of Zane's name, eyes closing in pleasure. His ass tightened with his orgasm and within seconds he could feel Zane cum too.

Genesis collapsed onto Zane's chest, not caring that his own load was splattered all over the man's stomach. His body felt extremely relaxed, no tension to even hold himself upright at the moment. Not caring about time, and seriously contemplating just calling out so he and Zane could screw all day, Genesis sloppily kissed the younger males' chest, nipping at the skin slightly.

"What would you do if I told you to go again?" His voice was teasing, tired, and relaxed all at once. Still loud enough for Zane to hear with only one ear. He knew another round wasn't in their cards though, fucking work was calling his name.

Zane

Zane had been a bit of a whore back in the days before Genesis, that was a well known fact. Always a knew woman pretty much every other night. Looking back he was sure at least half of it was because of sexual frustration for lusting after his closest friend and...well, not really admitting the fact that he was into dudes. Like, a lot. But those days were long gone, and Zane could say with absolute clarity that Genesis was the best he'd ever had. And he got to keep him. Have him over and over again. His life was pretty perfect.

At some point he didn't even care if they got loud, he just wanted to get lost in the changeling, bury himself in deep and love every moment of it. But the speed they were going at really didn't attain for that so...Zane just focused on making it good. Finally getting to cum after eveyrthing the night before and...fuck, who knew how long of not getting to enjoy each other...Zane felt great.

He didn't technically have to breathe, but that didn't stop him from panting as Genesis collapsed against his chest. He laughed breathlessly at the question and shook his head a little. "I'd figure it out." Physically, his body was still eighteen. If Genesis demanded a short refractory period, Zane was pretty sure he could kick start it with a little effort.

But, the didn't have the time. So, with a sigh and a quick squeeze to his lovers ass, he said. "Come on. Let's go shower. We can possibly fit in a couple of messy handjobs before you have to go." It was doubtful but...they'd pushed the limits before.

Genesis

Genesis laughed contently, shaking his head at Zane's comment. Then his lover gave his backside a firm squeeze and suggested possible alternatives to another round of intercourse. Honestly, as enticing as jerking each other off in the shower was the changeling knew that things wouldn't simply stay there. No, when it came to Zane the older male always wanted more. The pureblood was like a drug and sometimes Genesis simply wasn't able to control himself.

Sitting up, feeling Zane's spent cock slip from from his ass, Genesis leaned down to kiss him. It was slow, leisurely as the changeling coaxed the younger's tongue into his mouth. Gently he sucked on the appendage, just enjoying the taste of Zane, but Genesis knew he really needed to get moving.

Separating reluctantly, releasing Zane's tongue with a wet pop, Genesis gave the other vampire a small smile. "I'd really like that, but you and I both know that would be a bad idea." Pushing back up with his thighs, the changeling crawled off the bed, making sure to swing his ass for Zane's own enjoyment, before getting off the bed completely. Sex was messy and with their lack of condom usage Gen really needed to clean himself. He could feel Zane's cum inside him and while that wasn't necessarily bad, he needed to move quickly.

Giving Zane one look as he stood in their bathroom doorway, Genesis nodded his head towards the pureblood. "You, my love, have to clean up in the hallway bathroom." He teased, biting his bottom lip gently. "And be sure to jerk off with me in mind, I'll be doing the same for you." Yup, the changeling was terrible and so without further action he scurried into the bathroom, making sure to lock the door behind him.

Zane

Not being able to hear out of one ear sucked. It hadn't bothered him so much at home, between Genesis commandeering his attention, a hot shower, and breakfast (with fucking Ray Pierce)...he'd hardly noticed. He'd shared a nice goodbye kiss with the love of his life, hoped he had a better day, and promised that if he didn't...well, Zane did owe him.

His own day, like most, was spent at the gallery. It was a beautiful building, nice architecture, complementing tones, beautiful art. His own and others. While he could afford particularly spectacular pieces, he didn't simply because he liked keeping things lower paced. He enjoyed the leisure at which people could come in and out as they pleased, enjoyed the calm atmosphere of just...middle class art enthusiasts instead of first class snobs.

Plus, it meant he could walk around barefoot and slide from room to room with his socks. Honestly, since he'd been banned from council work, one would assume from appearances only that Zane really was still eighteen. He didn't wear suits unless he absolutely had to, his hair was more often than not a mess, and he was a huge fan of dark henleys and jeans. Sure, he had dress clothes for openings and shows, and he got fancy for Genesis on occasion, but if it was just him? Comfort all the way.

It drove his employes crazy. Once Gregory (his personal assistant) had even attempted to throw him out before he'd gotten a good look at his face. Zane didn't mind so much, though. At least they were doing their jobs.

So, that was usually how his day was spent. Pop up at the gallery, fill in some orders, make sure everything was going smoothly. He stopped to talk to patrons on occasion if they recognized him (which was fairly rare), or sometimes even worked on a new painting in his office, but...that was it. Zane's day-to-day life was fairly boring.

He loved every minute of it.

Except for the fact that he couldn't hear. It really was driving him crazy. Like an itch he couldn't get to. He could probably feel it healing, honestly. He understood now why humans always complained about earaches on television. It was a fucking nightmare. Gregory seemed to get a kick out of it though, always standing on Zane's right side when he spoke. He was too posh to admit his amusement, but it was definitely there.

He ended up calling it an early night, just because he couldn't fucking stand it, and stopped by the store on his way home to grab things to make pie. Cooking usually soothed him a bit, and he'd seen a thing on the cooking channel a couple of nights ago about making fried apple flowers he wanted to try. So that's what he spent his night doing instead, letting the scent of cinnamon calm him.

Genesis

Busy chaos, that was what awaited Genesis at work. Honestly, it was no different than any other day in the past weeks, but the wonderful mood he had been in early in the evening only deteriorated with each passing hour. Several large disputes had popped up in the last 24 hours, everything stemming from property disputes to hate crimes. The latter of which seemed to be increasing drastically in the last few weeks. It was insane.

The one thing that did surprise Genesis though was how other vampires had seemed to hear about Zane's 'attack'. People kept asking about his pureblood lover, polite courtesy laced their words, but the changeling was sure it was just nosiness. It wasn't every day that this kind of situation occurred to someone of Genesis and Zane's status. The ancient vampire was more concerned with his apparent breach in security, someone had obviously spilled the beans when Gen had instituted a strict gag order for those working for him. It was a bit concerning.

Listening intently to the two vampires in front of him, his fellow council members sitting around him as they all would vote on this particular topic. It was another pureblood versus changeling case and really it was lose-lose no matter which way they ruled. The changeling, a man who appeared to be in his twenties, was pressing charges against a pureblood woman, claiming she had turned him with the intent of keeping him as a pet and being kept in her service unwillingly for years. She argued that it was a lie, that he had been free to leave whenever and only had a problem when she moved onto a new relationship with another pureblood.

Genesis was all for upholding changeling rights, to make sure his people saw justice, but cases where changelings tried to abuse the system kept cropping up. It made cases such as this one highly difficult to sort through. People lie, but there were always ways for the truth to be revealed and the lies to be weeded out. It just took a crap load of effort.

As the two vampires before them started to argue, Alistair stood. The vampire was as ancient as Genesis and still held his seat as the head of the upper council firmly. The vampire ruled to have the proceedings end for the evening. There was a collective relief that permeated from each council member at that. They were getting nowhere and no one wanted to hear the same argument they'd been hearing for the past four hours.

It took a bit of time, but eventually they all filed out. Genesis took his time, making sure his paperwork was in order and packed away securely in his briefcase before he headed out the door. Surprisingly, within taking three steps he was face to face with Clarence Blackwell. Zane's grandfather looked exactly as he always had, older and rather stern in the face.

"Clarence," Genesis said curtly, nodding his head at the younger vampire. The changeling was guessing the other man had heard about Zane.

Clarence

Clarence was used to busy days. In fact, he thrived on them. Especially as of late, with very little family left. There was really nothing left to distract himself with...so, his life became about work.

And there was lot's to do, especially with the new Changeling Rights initiative. It was long and grueling work, and he ended up mediating much more than he'd like to admit, between the two main races.

He didn't see much of Genesis, despite the fact that they worked in the same building and on a lot of the same issues, simply because they were in slightly different departments. He didn't see a lot of Zane either, admittedly, but...that was more of a difference of personality. They hadn't officially cut each other off it'd just...kind of happened.

However, Zane was still his blood, and Clarence had made a habit a long time ago to listen out for the boys name. So, when Adelaide brought him up over their break, he'd been slightly surprised at the subject matter. Sure, Zane was no stranger to injuries, but this particular kind...

He hadn't sought out his young relatives lover, but he wasn't against using the opportunity that had fallen into his lap. "Genesis," he greeted, just as curtly. "Tell me, how is my grandson? Heard there was an...incident."

Honestly, it seemed more of an attack than an incident. Zane, for his part, had stayed out of the limelight since everything with his father had been settled ten years ago. It'd taken some time, of course, but his troublesome reputation had been swept under the rug. Now, when people thought of Zane Kostantine, the first thing that came to mind was that he was a powerful individual. The last of his line, pureblood, and involved with the most powerful Changeling of status. It was not only rare for someone to go after a vampire like Zane...but almost impossible. Especially with such...passive aggressiveness.

Genesis

A sigh escaped the changeling as he looked at Clarence with tired eyes. Genesis actually liked Clarence, the man was competent and powerful, helped with Zane's creation, but their relation was a difficult one. His young lover held such resentment towards his grandfather, too much bad blood that the two did little than barely acknowledge each other when in the same company. It was sad to see that and Genesis didn't want Zane to view his last remaining relative in that sort of light.

"Walk with me," He suggested, beginning his walk down the hall leisurely. Clarence fell into step behind him without fuss. The two were professional and the pureblood understood just how much sway Genesis held. The silence continued for a few moments, before the changeling said anything. "He's lost the hearing in his right ear, though we were assured it'll come back."

Genesis really hoped Zane healed quickly. A little deafness for a little bit of time didn't seem to bad, when there was a chance he could actually lost it completely. The changeling continued walking, but noticed Clarence stop. Looking back, Genesis knew what the tightly blank face meant: he was nervous for his grandson. Despite everything, Clarence had loved his daughter and because he was her son, he loved Zane.

"Look, there's plenty of time before sunrise. Why don't you go to Urasawa's, I'll have a table ready and you two can talk. We can have a nice meal, I'll make sure the place is empty, and the you guys can catch up." Genesis finished with a smile, patting Clarence on the arm. "Come." It was more of an order than anything, but with one more nod the changeling left.

Lydia stood next to his car, opening the door as the changeling got in and removed his cell phone. Calling Zane's landline number with practiced ease, it took a good minute for his lover to pick up. "Hey love," He greeted, wanting to ease into the subject, but knowing it would be best just to get to the point. "You and I will be having a meal out tonight…with your grandfather." Genesis could already hear the intake of breath on the other end, knew what would be coming. "Just hear me out, please. Head over to Urasawa's in fifteen, just to talk with him. He was worried when he heard about last night." He knew that wouldn't be enough though. "I promise, the minute we get home I will do anything you want….anything Zane." His pampering would have to wait another night, but sometimes the best way to get the younger male to do what he wanted was to place sex on the table.

Zane

It wasn't that Zane hated his grandfather...but he wasn't the man's number one fan. Ironically enough, the older he'd gotten, the more he'd started to dislike him. Clarence Blackwell was a lot of things, traditional being one of them, and it was that backbone in him that had cost him his daughters life. Zane had a lot of difficulty understanding why Clarence had made the choices he'd made. He understood, even, that the world and the politics surrounding it had changed even from the time he was born...but that didn't mean he had to accept the fact that his life had gone a certain way when someone close to him had the power to change it. For his mother's sake, if nothing else.

So yeah, he avoided Clarence. He avoided him because their opinions differed, because he didn't respect him anymore, and because...at some point, Clarence had started treating him as an equal instead of as family and it felt...odd, and wrong. He didn't like it, so why bother?

On the upside, the parking lot was fairly empty, which he was sure Genesis had something to do with. All the better, the noise level would be down, and Zane probably wouldn't be too distracted by the ear he couldn't hear anything out of. The changeling was, of course, waiting for him we he got out of the car. He scowled despite the smile he was greeted with. "You better be glad I like Urasawa's," he grumbled, only a little childishly as he leaned in for a quick hello kiss. "And happen to love you." And therefor do just about anything Gen ever asked of him.

Genesis

"Thank you." Genesis replied, making sure to give Zane another quick kiss as his blue eyes looked lovingly at the taller vampire. There were things that he wanted for Zane, things that the changeling couldn't give him and Clarence could. Family was important and while Zane would argue that the only family he needed was Genesis, his grandfather had memories and stories and love of a different kind from the changeling. He just didn't want the twenty-eight year old to miss out.

Grabbing Zane's hand lightly, Genesis lead them into the restaurant. It was empty, just as he had instructed, but still beautifully lit. Their waiter lead them to one of the tables by the window. Clarence was already sitting their, his head turning to view them as the two approached. Letting go of Zane's hand, Genesis sad across from Clarence, leaving Zane to have to sit next to his grandfather. It was sly, but he was going to make sure the two would talk.

There was noticeable tension in the atmosphere, more awkward for the waiter who nervously asked if they'd like any drinks. "I think we'll all be drinking sake…and just bring some glasses of water as well." Genesis ordered hurriedly. The man all but skipped away to escape.

Zane

Zane sighed as they walked inside, squeezing Genesis' hand for a moment as they walked inside. He was thankful to find it really was empty, which made him relax just a little bit. He was sure it was both a blessing and a curse, because he left out any chances for distractions, but again...he'd take it.

He glared slightly at his lover when he was forced to sit next to his grandfather, even thought of saying something about it, but in the end he just sat down and dealt. He tried to smile politely at the poor waiter, but he was sure it looked more like a grimace, and he didn't blame the man from running off.

"So," his grandfather started off, smoothing at his suit jacket even though he really didn't need to, it was immaculate as always. "How are you feeling, Zane?"

Zane stared at him for a moment, but Clarence just stared right back, obviously not going to let go as something as simple as pleasantries. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes and shrugged slightly. "A little dizzy sometimes, frustrated, but mostly fine." He figured why not go with truth.

Clarence nodded a bit. "That's understandable. The inner ear has a surprisingly large role in the body as a whole. It is healing, yes?"

"Yes," Zane answered, pressing his palm against the ear in question. He could feel it, sometimes, knitting itself back together, if he focused. It was kind of unnerving though, so he tried his best not to. "Thankfully."

Clarence nodded as well...and just like that, things were awkward again. It was odd, because in his youth, his grandfather had been a man of very, very few words. Now, it seemed like he said even less, although he spoke more.

Genesis

Their drinks soon arrived, the beautifully painted sake container being placed in the center of the table and their cups placed in front of each occupant. Their waters were set to the side where they'd be able to take them as needed. Alcohol didn't effect vampires as well as it did humans, it burned out of the system quicker, but regardless they could still get drunk for a while. With the way things were going, Genesis felt like doing just that.

Pouring a shot of sake into each cup, the changeling threw back his own quickly before pouring himself another and doing the same once more. It was going to be a long night if they kept this up. The silence persisted for a while more before their waiter came back, taking their orders and moving to bring them another bottle of sake. Genesis had basically finished their first on his own.

"So…" He began, playing with his cup to occupy himself until the new alcohol arrived. "Has Zane told you about his gallery?" Genesis directed at Clarence, eyes moving to the waiter as he finally arrived with the sake. He poured himself another shot before continuing. "He now showcase a few up and coming artists, you should come to one of the shows." It was a suggestion, hopefully to get the two to converse more.

Zane

Zane wasn't as much of a drinker these days as he had been in the past. He missed it, sometimes, especially given the fact that he'd been the one to figure out exactly how to keep a buzz lasting, but well...life was life. It'd slowed down and he was fine with that. Now, however, he couldn't remember the last time he'd been so happy to see alcohol. He threw back his drinks as fast as Genesis, trying to get his lover to share through harsh side-eyes. Clarence had barely had one before they got a new bottle.

Luckily, the topic of food allowed them some time to be silent without pressure, and Zane made sure to get something extra spicey because...otherwise, it wasn't really worth it. And soup, he'd always been a soup fan. After that though...they were back to step one.

Genesis brought up the gallery and Zane winced visibly. It wasn't that he wasn't proud of it, but...the gallery was kind of his turf and...to be honest he didn't really want Clarence's stuck up nose anywhere near it. His grandfather was an art lover though...a trait he'd passed onto his daughter, although she was the first one with any real talent. Especially with paint.

"Adelaide mentioned it to me," Clarence admitted, giving his grandson a look that said how very unhappy he was to have had to go through outside channels. "She says it's quite something. I'd thought, perhaps, to offer to bring you some of your mother's old paintings, if you were ever interested. They aren't quite as good as her older works, but they were done before-"

"She lost her mind?" Zane interrupted, eyebrows raising. His mother was, as always, a sore subject. The only person he ever really liked talking to her with was Genesis...and that was more when he just needed to say something. He missed her fiercely, more and more with each passing year that faded out the memories he knew he would one day lose completely.

Clarence's mouth thinned out and he took a drink before refilling and sitting back in his seat. "She wasn't crazy, Zane. She was-"

"I swear to god if you say eccentric I'm going to rip your throat out," Zane muttered, more so under his breath than anything. Yes, he knew his grandfather was his last link to her. He knew the man held the memories and the images and...a lot of her belongings that Zane didn't. But...he just...he couldn't go there. Especially when people tried there best to pretend she hadn't been crazy. Because she had been. Zane knew that. Sane people didn't...they didn't do the things she had, the things he'd seen first hand. "I really don't want to talk about her, please."

Which, honestly, left them very little to talk about.

And, the silence was back.

Zane wondered if he could just give up pretenses and drink from the bottle, but Genesis would probably fight him for it.

Genesis

And there it was, that proverbial shit hitting the fan. Sometimes he didn't know why Zane had to be like that. Yes, he had lost his mother, but Clarence had lost a daughter. Someone he had raised with love and care from infancy and frankly she was the one topic they could talk about together. Genesis had been friends with the woman, mostly before he marriage to Alarick, but he certainly didn't know her the way either of the other two men knew her.

Turning a glare towards his lover, Genesis thought very hard. Be nice or not only is the 'anything' agreement we had going out the window, but you'll be sleeping on the couch. His glare softened though before he turned his attention to his cup. Slowly he poured himself another shot, sipping it this time. Please baby, try. It'll be good for you. Genesis' free hand travelled to Zane's knee under the table, squeezing it lightly in reassurance before moving up to pour the changeling another shot.

"Personally, I'd like to see her paintings hanging up for people to see." Genesis said with a chuckle. "Her art was always lovely, before and after her troubles began." She had been dear to him in the past, but it was ultimately her husband who triggered her downward spiral. "Maybe we can do an exclusive showing, only her works, raise some money for a charity of some sort. She would have liked that."

Zane

Genesis' voice in his head was almost more clear than hearing it out loud...moreso even with his current state in that department. He met his lovers glare tit-for-tat, and was about to snap off that he was being nice but...even he knew he wasn't. Not really. He inhaled sharply through his nose, let it out before taking another drink. Try. That was all Gen was asking of him.

Why did it feel so fucking hard?

Didn't help either that everyone seemed content to slide right onto the one subject he did not want to talk about. He slouched in his seat slightly, twisted his cup between his fingers, focused on it more than the conversation at hand, while he tried to calm himself down. No need to be emotional. No need to be defensive.

Clarence was nodding along to what Genesis was saying. "I agree. She always wanted her stuff showcased. I was always surprised she never pushed for it more. I guess painting with Zane ended up being enough for her. I think that it would be fitting, however, for her works to finally make it on the walls of a place her son owns."

"Yeah," Zane mumbled. "Maybe." As of yet, he didn't have any of her paintings on display. He owned them all, of course, the stuff that had been in the Kostantine vault or their house before Zane burnt it to the ground. Of course Alarick had been a fan of her work, especially the more unhinged she got. Zane had a feeling he'd been more attracted to the insanity than the woman herself. Wanted to collect her like he collected so many other things.

He'd always planned to hang it up. Art didn't belong hidden away, collecting dust. He just...couldn't bring himself to. He'd even gotten so far as filling the chosen room with paintings, but when it came to hanging them he'd...backed out, gotten Gregory to help him take them all back to the house. Now they were packed away nice and neat in his studio...because there were way too many for him to hang even within their home.

Genesis

The tension slightly eased and small chit chat ensued for the rest of the meal. While Genesis would have preferred more communication between the two other men, the small superficial mumbling was, at least, a step in the right direction. Clarence had tried to pay, but the changeling had insisted that the place had his card on file. The three walked out together, Gen and Zane hand-in-hand once more and politely bit Clarence goodbye, reluctantly on Zane's part.

Genesis had drank a lot…more so than he'd drank in years. He easily consumed ten bottles of sake on his own and was feeling pleasantly buzzed as Zane loaded him into the passenger seat of the car. The vehicle was silent as they drove, at least until they reached the highway. Genesis' eyes wondered over to his lover, a small smile turning his lips. "Thank you love." He said contently. Despite the lack of words, he knew that both parties had at least been trying in the communication department in their own ways. Zane had been more civil at least.

Fifteen minutes later, and with the alcohol effectively burned out of his system, the couple arrived home. It was about four in the morning so there was no sunlight to worry about at the moment. Genesis took his time in walking to their front door and unlocking it. He kicked off his shoes as they went inside, shrugging his suit jacket off and hanging it up in the process.

Blue eyes turned to his lover as he helped the younger male remove his own coat. "We had an agreement." The changeling reminded calmly, hanging the fabric up next to his own. "And you were fairly civil while there so I think I should hold myself to it."

Zane

Zane wasn't particularly a happy camper, but it could have all gone a lot worse. They'd never been a particularly talkative family anyway, but eventually polite chit-chat settled in and that seemed to be good enough for Genesis. Granted, his lover was also fairly smashed, so his judgement was more likely than not a little impaired.

It was good to be home though. The tension dripped out of his shoulders at the mere familiarity of it. He slipped out of his shoes by the door out of habit, let Genesis help him out of his coat, eyebrows arching at the reminder of what he'd been promised if he'd played nice. He didn't figure they'd get anything spectacular out of the ordeal. Gen was still fairly buzzed, and Zane was fairly exhausted, but...well, he'd never exactly been one to turn Genesis down.

"How do you feel about being fairly vanilla tonight?" it was an awful, horrible waste of the anything he'd been given...but really, Zane just wanted to get lost in the changeling for awhile and then crash. Regardless of things ending well, the dinner had been emotionally taxing, and while his day had doubtfully been anywhere near as difficult as Genesis', it'd still been enough to wear him out, all things considered.

Genesis

Genesis kind of leveled Zane with one of those looks. It wasn't every day that the changeling consented to an anything, especially with his hectic schedule as of late. Then again 'anything' meant whatever Zane wanted.

"How about this, I'll extend my anything for the next 24 hours. That means you can cash it in at any point from now till…" He looked down at his expensive Rollex for a moment to gage the time. "4:17 tomorrow morning." Stretching up the changeling wrapped his arms around his lover's neck, brining the pureblood down for a kiss. It was slow, enticing, and just a tad bit messy, but Genesis enjoyed it regardless. Pulling away for a moment, he began to speak again. "But no sex right now."

The changeling unattached himself from his lover, headed towards the stairs and took them at an even pace. "Oh, by the way," He said, turning around mid-step to look back at Zane. "I seem to have off today, Alistair decided that we required one day of personal deliberation for the case we're overseeing." In other words, he wouldn't have to go to work because they needed a break from hearing people bitch at one another for the billionth time. "So, you can decide what you want. I'll be in bed."

That's exactly what he did too. The minute he was inside their bedroom Genesis quickly stripped and hopped into bed without so much as underwear on. Zane was at the reins and the changeling knew he was tired, so maybe sleeping first would be best for them at the moment.

Zane

Zane tilted his head at the offer, interested. But there was a very good chance that work could pull Genesis in for so long he wouldn't get to cash in that 'anything' at all. It was fairly rare, but possible. Or he could just flat out have a bad day and...a Genesis who wasn't one hundred percent into it wasn't quite as fun.

However, the fact that Genesis had some off time...well, that made the schedual a lot more workable. He smiled a little as he shook his head, followed his lover upstairs. The changeling was already in bed, but Zane moved slower, pulling his clothes off one by one before grabbing his pajama pants to step into. A nap. Just a nap. Then sex. So much sex.

He was just...to exhausted at the present time.

Zane dropped down into bed next to his lover, cuddled up close, pressed a kiss against his temple. "I'm tired," he admitted. "I feel like i'll waste it...if I chose now."

Genesis

He could feel the bed dip as Zane got into it beside him. As the younger vampire cuddled up, Genesis needed to adjust himself. He didn't have a particular way he had to sleep, but there were positions he preferred. Once his lover was more or less settled, Genesis moved his head onto the pureblood's chest, bringing one arm up to wrap around Zane's torso. One of his free legs was thrown over the other male's own and his groin was pressed securely to Zane's hip. Yup, now he was comfortable.

"That's okay," He said, kissing Zane's skin softly. "You have all day, no rush…but thanks again Zane. I know it was hard for you, but I appreciate you trying." Nuzzling into his lover's slightly warmer flesh was pleasant and being wrapped around him felt safe.

"I love you." He mumbled tiredly, mouth opening in a yawn as he closed his eyes. He could feel Zane almost asleep as well. The pureblood's slowly beating heart was moving even slower, his unneeded breaths were becoming more even. "Later will just be the two of us, all day. I promise." And it was a promise he was intending to keep. Genesis was looking forward to the quality time…the sex. Until then though he fell asleep, content just to be surrounded by Zane's scent.

Zane

Zane didn't sleep well. He was prone to nightmares anyway, the effect of an over active mind, but they were always worse after talking about his mother, and despite the fact that the memory was twenty years old now it felt crystal clear. He could smell his childhood home, remember his mothers voice as she asked him if he ever wondered what the sunrise looked like, but these days instead of just watching her burn...he watched his father too.

Unfortunately, Zane knew exactly what the sunrise looked like.

He woke up with a ringing in his ears that wasn't real, but still caused him to try and protect the good one before he came back to the real world. A world where Genesis was completely wrapped around him, where the only smells were fresh laundry, paint, and something just them. Where he was safe and loved and...everything was okay.

Genesis always looked so young when he slept. It was the only time Zane ever remembered his physical age. The man had so much...power when he was awake. He carried himself in an indefinitely older manner, spoke that way too. His attitude could make almost anyone forget how young he appeared. But asleep, relaxed, he could have been a normal young teen and no one would think twice.

Zane smiled slightly and pressed a kiss into the changelings soft hair, reaching a hand up to draw his fingertips over the pale arm resting across his chest. Even ten years later...Zane was never sure what he'd done to ever deserve Gen, but he'd long ago stopped waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Genesis

For the longest time, Genesis hadn't dreamed. Maybe it was stress or something, but he couldn't remember the last time his mind had filled with something pleasant or even hellish as he slept. No dreams or any kind. It was both nice and disappointing. He could remember some of his more vivid dreams, the ones with Zane in them. Those had been fun to have and he missed them.

He could feel Zane stir, his groggy mind barely coming out of its unconscious state. The changeling let out a huff, nuzzled his face more securely into his lover's neck, and shivered at the feeling of fingers moving over his arm lightly. It was a pleasant sensation. A little more awake, he kissed whatever skin of Zane's he could reach in greeting.

"Mmm…" Sure, it wasn't the conventional greeting one was supposed to give once they woke up. but Genesis was comfortable. His body relaxed again, breathing evening out, as his mind slipped back into a light sleep. It wasn't that he was tired, instead his lapse back into slumber was from his comfort. There was no rush, no scramble to fit in as much quality time as they could. Nope, Genesis was off from work, Gregory could take the reins on the gallery for the day, and the two could spend their entire day in bed.

That stirred the changeling once more, eyes opening to slits at remembering the night before. Zane and he were going to spend the entirety of their day in their room, Genesis would make sure of it. A certain part of his anatomy began to awaken at that realization. He pressed his body closer to Zane's, not sure how he managed it but he did.

Zane

Zane smiled at the kisses that got placed against his skin, at the way Genesis moved closer to him. "Sorry love," he mumbled softly. "Didn't mean to wake you." In more ways than one, apparently. Not that Zane was complaining. Hell no. He couldn't even remember the last time they'd had the entire day to themselves...just to spend locked up in their bedroom.

He rolled easily, putting Genesis under him before leaning down for a kiss, the slow, deep kind that usually ended up being a battle of tongues and bottom lips being caught between teeth. He braced his forearms on the bed by either side of the changelings head, holding up some of his weight but for the most part letting their bodies mold together.

It really had been too long since they'd been able to wake up like this. Probably at least almost a year. There was too much political unrest going on that kept Genesis beyond busy. The only thing that really kept Zane from complaining about it was the fact that they literally had forever to be with each other. Granted...very few vampire couples actually made it that long but, well, he wasn't worried.

Genesis

With lazy eyes, Genesis watched as Zane rolled them over, the pureblood on top of him and their bodies pressed tightly together. That only brought his attention out of hazy almost-sleep. There was just something about having Zane on top of him, caging the smaller man with his muscular body that sent a shiver through Genesis' mind. It excited him and they hadn't even done anything yet.

It wasn't long before his lover's mouth was on his own though. Slow and deep, but with the danger of a fang piercing a lip at any moment. Needless to say, Genesis found himself hard in seconds with his cock pressed tightly to Zane's stomach. Lithe legs wrapped around the pureblood's waist and squeezed. He had little freedom to move freely with the younger's larger form above him, but Genesis still managed to leisurely thrust against Zane's washboard abs to create the most delicious friction.

Genesis moaned into their kiss, his hands moving to press against his lover's back. Gently his nails scratched against skin, slowly making their way down until they reached his own legs. It took a bit of maneuvering, but the changeling was rather flexible. Pressing their mouths together harder, Genesis leaned up just the slightest and reached till his hands managed to travel under the fabric of Zane's pajama pants. Squeezing more tightly with his own legs to move the pureblood closer, Genesis managed to grab Zane's ass, squeezing each firm cheek tightly. God, the younger vampire had one of the best asses Genesis had ever seen…or felt for that matter.

Unfortunately, his position wasn't exactly the most comfortable so with one last hard grab the changeling released Zane's cheeks. Genesis' shoulders fell back onto the bed, separating his mouth momentarily from the other male's. "If we keep this up I'll cum too fast." He laughed breathlessly, bringing one hand up to trace his fingers along one of Zane's cheekbones. His touches were lightly, loving, and much different from the ones mere moments ago. "So…you have me all to yourself till tomorrow, such a lucky man." Genesis teased, smile curling his lips. "You ready to cash in that anything?" Leaning up just the slightest bit, Genesis brought his mouth to Zane's ear. "And if you're good, I'll let you do a number of anythings all day long…"

Zane

Zane had always loved the way Genesis just...wrapped around him. Didn't matter if they were in bed, up against a wall, or even a few times in the back of some car somewhere. The changeling was wonderfully flexible and not at all afraid to take just what he wanted. Zane was pretty sure he could stop participating an Gen would still get off using him however he needed. Not that he could stay that still. Ever. Especially with Gen touching him.

The nails against his back caused him to arch up, little by little, following the path they made, until Genesis' hands were on his ass. He'd moved up when Gen had coaxed him that way, but now he was almost pressing back, a shocked moan leaving his throat that almost disrupted their kiss.

It was over too damn soon, but he couldn't imagine that position had been any kind of comfortable. He let out an unneeded breath when their mouths separated, smirked a little and leaned in to pull at Genesis' bottom lip. "I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure we can afford multiple orgasms." Refractory periods were a pain, but hell, if they just didn't leave their bedroom all day.

He tilted into the touch against his cheek slightly, small smile on his face. But of course Genesis could switch gears like fucking no one else in the entire world. One moment he was sweat and loving, the next moment his mouth was right up against his good ear whispering things that made him moan and made his hips stutter. "Fucking hell, Gen."

Genesis

Genesis could tell that Zane was growing eager, hell he was just as excited. He was so hard it was almost painful, but today was a game and the changeling had to play by the rules. Using vampire strength and speed, the smaller male rolled them over. Zane was on his back, arms held down on either side of his head by Genesis' grip, as the changeling smirked. The covers were off them, no blanket to conceal the older male's erection.

He rolled his hips down, pressing his ass onto Zane's cock in an enticing manner. Genesis moaned, continuing the action slowly over and over again. He had no doubt that the younger vampire would have been inside of him if his pants were off. That barrier stayed in place though as Genesis felt the fabric against his ass become wet with Zane's precum. His own dick was wet as well, beads pooling at the top of the head before slowly traveling down his shaft. The whole thing was very erotic.

Just when it seemed like both vampires were about to orgasm, Genesis stopped…barely. His hands travelled along the pureblood's arms, down his sides, before Genesis pushed himself off using the other man's stomach. It took little effort for the changeling to stand on the bed, cock bouncing freely in front of him, before he moved to step off the bouncy surface and onto their bedroom floor.

Taking a deep breath, the changeling moved over to one of their dressers, opening the top drawer. There were plenty of toys, they had much time in the last 10 years to try things out and decide what they liked. Genesis eyed vibrators, lube that tingled or burned, and some light bondage gear among some other fun things. He ghosted his fingers over a number of them before turning back to look at his companion.

Stepping to the side of the dresser and leaning against the wall with a rather seductive look on his face, Genesis touched his own chest. Tweaking his nipples, he let out a loud and needy moan before allowing his hands to move lower. Grasping his own cock, he pumped it slowly, eyes closing for a second as he bit his lip. He stopped, just as he was about to cum, bending over slightly and letting out a sound that almost resembled a scream.

It took a minute for him to recompose himself. He was putting on a show, a damned good one if he said so himself. Blue eyes opened once more to look at his partner before he spoke. "You're in charge love, I'm not moving unless you direct me." Genesis' voice came out as a purr, the thumb of one hand pressing hard into the head of his dick to end the statement with a throaty moan. "I'm starting you're anything right now, so enjoy."
