There's a vampire hunter! He shot a crossbow in the direction of Marcus. The arrow zipped passed Marcus by an inch. Marcus was relieved but then he didn't see where he was running to and fell down in a thicket fill with bushes. The hunter looked around the clearing, wondering where the vampire was but didn't saw him. He assumed him to fell of the cliff and died.

...
It was hours before Marcus regained back his consciousness. Curse it! There were vampire hunters everywhere in town. He couldn't go to town without being spotted by those pesky hunters. Why do they have to torture vampires, anyway? He tried standing up but felt a great pain. Marcus felt his leg and found it to be bleeding. Gods, no.. He picked a stick nearby and began limping.

...
He was wandering aimlessly for quite some time now, it could be an hour, hoping to find some place to stay, hoping to see a small community. Luckily, after almost losing his breath, he came to a small village. He didn't mind any more what sight he was, he just wanted a place to stay. He knocked on a small house, hoping the owner will be hospitable.

Amy was a caring young woman who grew up in a small town in the midst of a deep and very thick forest. If one were to look up courtesy in the dictionary, they would certainly find her picture inside. Amy was the kind of person that was just too nice. She was easily taken advantage of. Amy would often drop everything she was doing just to help someone, even if she got nothing out of it. So it was no surprise to anyone that when a wounded stranger entered town she did not turn away. Instead her grean eyes looked sad as she helped him into the kitchen.

"Allow me to mend it." she would say. "How did this happen to you?"

"Thank you.", Marcus said. He was very much grateful for the generosity of the woman, however, what might she think if she learnt that he was a vampire? Would she change her treatment to him? He could not risk it! He must hide his identity.

"Oh, it was nothing, really. Just an accident. I fell off among the bushes in the outskirt of town from quite a height." he said.
