I identify with this music video so much as someone who struggles with their gender identity on a daily basis. The cage is the mind and the two within are aspects of self that love and yet torment each other. Shia represents the man I am expected to be, while Maddie represents the girl who I wish I could be...or could have been. The ending especially killed me. Such a beautiful song.​
