There was a layer of freshly fallen snow on the forest floor of Argus. It was the Time of Harvest in the lands of Argus, and it was a chilly one. Once settled by the elves, their kind had long since disappeared from the lands, myths and legends. The Dwarves had once lived beside them but had long since become extinct. The forests and lands of Argus were the home to beasts of myth and legend, worgen, wamphyri, ogres, trolls, beasts of children stories.

Blackpool wasn't far from the queen's entourage. They had to travel at least 10 miles through the Ebony Forest, home to the Raven Guard. The Raven Guard was Blackpool's Rangers, defenders of the Ebony Forest and of Blackpool itself. They had earned the nickname, "the Whisper of the Forest". The moment the queen had entered the forest, unseen eyes were watching her. The rangers were primed and ready to strike at a moments notice if the queen was in danger.

The horses made their way along the forest road as another set of unseen eyes watched the queen and her entourage. The people of Blackpool were suffering at the hands of their king, Lord Edward Blackpool. Edward was waging stupid wars trying to obtain the high throne and to obtain more land. His people were dying from the Rat Plague and were being forced to pain taxes they couldn't afford and to add insult to injury, he was ignoring his queen the moment his son had been born. People were desperate and were willing to do just about anything to survive.

As the queen's guard were passing, a savage yell rang out as dozens of men wearing animal fur and using sickles, quartering knives, and wood axes began to race out of the brush, assaulting the queen's guard. The sound of steel clashing with steel rang out as the bandits began to kill the guard. The queen's guard were trained soldiers but the bandits were lightly dressed and able to move quicker, the knights were clunky and slow.

The bandits were honestly desperate villagers. They were willing to do just about anything to survive. While most didn't mean the queen any harm and were just trying to find some valuables to sell to the market, others were simply blood thirsty and wanted a fight. The bandits stabbed and sliced, cutting a bloody path through the guards. The bandits stopped fighting as well and looked to her as though she was speaking in tongues, clearly unaware if they had heard her properly. Let them go? Why? Why would they let them go? It didn't make any sense.

The savages looked to her as she produced a coin purse. They could hear the sound of coins clinking as she spoke, saying that her husband has made things difficult for them and that she was sorry for that. They watched as they handed out a coin for each of them and some looked grateful, others looked angered. They listened as she spoke, saying she was trying to help them. "I'm sorry girly. 'Sorry' isn't feeding my family or treating my children. Your trying isn't saving us while the Rat Plague gnaws it's way through the city and kills all in sight" the oldest said. He whistled and more bandits began to appear, these much larger than the others and better armed. It appeared they were wearing armor from the guards in the village. "Let's finish em bo--" began the man. He didn't get a chance to finish as an arrow flew and hit the man in the throat. The bandits looked about, clearly surprised as they began to be hit with arrows from the shadows

The rangers began to let the arrows fly as they began to drop one bandit after another, avoiding to hit anyone that wasn't a bandit. They watched as the queen seemed equally surprised as a bandit began to make his way towards her. He put his blade to her throat and grabbed her arm, holding it behind her back. "The king will pay a pretty penny to have his wife back, once we're done with you of c--" he began. The bandit didn't have the chance to finish as he let her go suddenly, his eyes rolling into the back of his head as he fell forward, an arrow lodged in the back of the brute's skull

Behind him loomed a hooded figure, looking much like a ghost in his black cloak. With a quick swipe, the man's head fell from his neck and the body fell back. The ranger offered his hand and pulled her up to her feet. His mouth was hidden by a cloth and his eyes were hidden by the hood. "Stay behind me" he said. The ranger watched as the bandits looked to see a man on their level and one of their friends dead. The man wielded a blade that was a bit out of place for a ranger. A ranger tended to carry a short sword to move with ease. This ranger wielded a longsword one handed. The blade was an almost blackish hue, with ripple patterns in the metal as though the blade were water in the rain. The butt of the sword was a wolf's head, it's gaping maw open and full of teeth. The blade clearly was not supposed to be in the hands of the ranger, meaning he must have owned it before hand.

A bandit came at him with his knife aimed to run him through, another bandit with his hammer in the air to smash his brains in. With a swift spin, he grabbed the knife wielding bandits arm and drove the blade into the hammer wielding bandit, the hammer smashing the other bandits head in. The ranger moved like the wind, bringing down bandit after bandit with incredible swiftness as the attack was over and the remaining bandits ran off into the woods. This same ranger came towards the queen again, blade sheathed. "Are you alright Lady Blackpool?" he spoke. The bandit and the queen knew one another. The voice was very distinct. As he lowered the face cover, keeping the hood up and his eyes hidden, you could tell immediately who it was. It was Asher, one of the most esteemed of the Raven Guard and perhaps one of the most mysterious. The scars on what little skin you could see beneath the hoods shadow gave it away immediately. The shimmer of his eyes as well.

Asher was deadly with any blade or weapon in his hand. The bow was his strongest asset but his longsword was his second strongest. His blade cut through flesh as though it was still hot from the forge. It pierced armor with ease. His blade was an exquisite make, the blade flashing in the sun as he moved like a storm of blades. He was skilled and could think very quickly as soon the battle was over. Asher wiped the blade clean and slipped it back into it's sheathe. The Raven Guard was Blackpool's first line of defense. They've protected the Ebony Forest for centuries. They have single handedly stopped armies before they had a chance to even see the walls of the Citadel.

Asher looked to her as she gave her coin to a young man, sending him off. It was true, the peasants had done nothing to deserve such suffering. When their lord waged stupid wars, the peasants were the ones that paid the price. They were the ones who starved, who lost everything, who bled for the king. Asher looked to her as she told him not to call her that. "My apologies Lady Bla....Kenna. A force of habit" he said gently. Asher looked to her as she said that these peasants didn't deserve such things, that it wasn't their faults. For all intents and purposes, Asher agreed with her and disapproved of Lord Blackpool's decisions. He nodded when she asked him to escort the bandits home. Asher looked to the other Rangers, nodding as a way of telling them to do as the queen commanded. He followed behind her.

Asher looked to her. "Not to worry Lady Kerra, my rangers are completely trustworthy. We're sworn to protect Blackpool with our lives and to obey the commands of the royal family" he said in a gentle and low tone, resting his arm on his sword as he looked to her as she asked the driver to take her to her son. The driver nodded and sat up. Asher walked to the carriage and opened the door for her, offering his hand to help her in. "Perhaps you would feel safer if I rode with you?" he asked gently. Asher's hood kept his eyes hidden from sight. His nose peeking out a bit from beneath the hood. His eyes almost had a glow under the hood, like a cat in the dark.

Asher smiled a bit when she teased him about being comfortable in the trees. "I do enjoy being in the trees but I recognize when my services are required somewhere else outside of my comfort zone" he said with a chuckle. Her guards had fallen like flies thanks to the ambush and if things got heated again, she would need the help of a ranger or a knight. Since most of the knights that had guarded her caravan had died, it was his task to watch over her. Asher climbed into the carriage with her and undid the sword that hung from his waist, propping it against the seat beside him. The sword was too long to be used in the carriage should something go awry. That was why Asher had a pair of daggers with him.

Asher sat in silence within the carriage. He was used to the long silence, used to watching the woods and listening to the sounds of the creatures within the woods. Asher kept the hood over his eyes as he heard her speak up, asking if he would take his hood off for her or if it was against the rules. He smiled softly as she said that it was just them and that she would only tell Gregory, that he wanted to know everything about him. His smile slowly wavered as she spoke of the king, saying how busy he was that she needed to keep her son happy. He smiled softly at her question. "It's ok" he said softly in regards to her saying never mind. "I have been tasked with defending you and that's what I intend to do" he said gently. "Answering your questions also falls into such things" he said with a gentle smile.

Asher sighed and looked to her from beneath his hood. "In regards to my hood, there is no rule about keeping the hood up. I simply keep mine up for.....personal reasons. However, I will take off my hood if you tell me too. I'm sworn to obey your's and the king's orders" he said gently. He smiled softly. "In regards to seeing little Gregory, I think it can be arranged Lady Kenna. I can see him tonight if it would please you my lady" he said with a gentle smile. With him being as close as he was, she would be able to make out the scars on his skin. His lip had a scar that travelled from just above his chin to just below his nostril. It was fadied but you could see it still there through the trimmed facial hair on his chin and jaw. Another scar started from his cheek and traveled down his jaw to his neck. On the other side of his neck was the unmistakable scar of a burn. All the scars however were beginning to fade, clearly something that he'd received a long time ago.

Asher smiled softly at her comment as she spoke of Gregory loving it. "It'd be my pleasure. I've spent more than enough time in the woods with the animals. It would be a rather refreshing change of pace" he said with a gentle chuckle. He looked to her as she sat back and seemed to think of all sorts of questions that she wanted to ask him to fill the silence. He could understand her desire of speaking about anything to fill the silence. He looked to her when she asked who had tasked him to watch over her and by who exactly. "The Raven Guard was formed by your husband's ancestors, the first Blackpools. Your husband's great great grandfather Thomas Blackpool saw the need to create a force of rangers who's soul purpose was to protect the kingdom by using the woods" he said. "I was sworn to protect all royals by the name of Blackpool and to follow their orders with unflinching loyalty" he said.

His tone wavered slightly as he said the last comment. "With the way things have become these past few months though have tested my oaths to your husband" he said with a sigh. Her husband was a cruel man, having ordered the execution of hundreds of infected. Their bodies burned and buried in mass graves to "prevent" the infection. It was a harsh time for all who lived under the Blackpool banner. He looked to her as she asked about him. Where he originated from, where his parents and siblings were. He sighed at the last part. "I hail from no lands in particular, have no siblings or family to speak off. I was born on the streets, forced to survive on the scraps of food I could find. I wondered from city to city, living there for some time and then moving on. Alas though saying more could cause me a great deal of harm if I was to reveal such information" he said gently. You could tell by his tone that he was trying to hide something. His accent (or at least mixture of accents) told the truth of him moving from city to city. What he was hiding though could be anyone's guess. Asher's past was a mystery to many. His fellow rangers included.

Asher felt guilty that he had to keep such things a secret. It had been something he'd kept secret for a very long time. Every person who had a secret had a reason for keeping it secret. Some would ruin a persons reputation, others would condemn a man to death. Asher fell into the later category. For despite his loyalty to the crown, he would fight to keep himself alive. He nodded though as she said it'd be best if they stopped talking then. Asher turned his head and watched the wilderness outside. Asher loved the wilderness despite being in it every waking moment he could. Nature was pure by definition, that's what made it nature. Asher enjoyed being out in the wilderness and looking at the deer, the birds, the bears. All of it was simply a blessing by the gods for him. There were moments in nature that were simply perfect. The blooming of a flower, the sound of the rain falling, the changing of the leaves as the Time of Harvest came.

Asher admired such beauty in silence as the carriage soon arrived at their destination. He stretched a bit and felt his back and neck pop as he stepped out of the carriage. He helped her climb over him and avoid his sword as he helped her out of the carriage as well. He took his sword and tied it to his belt once more as he rolled his neck, popping it into place as he turned to see the young prince hug his mother tightly. He smiled softly at the sight but felt a twinge of sadness in his heart. It was a feeling that he had never known, a mothers love. It was a sensation that had been cruelly robbed of him at birth. Asher could hear them despite the distance. He could hear their voices clearly as he walked towards them. His cloak flowed gracefully in the gentle breeze as he approached. He smiled softly at the boy as his mother reassured him that the ranger wouldn't hurt her. "Never" he said putting a hand to his chest.

Asher looked to her when she asked if he would join her for dinner, that it might help if he took off his hood. His smile wavered a bit but he considered it for a moment. "Alright, I will join you for dinner. However, I believe it to be wise if you saw me without the hood first. The sight may be a bit frightening and I think it would be best for you to see first" he said in a hushed tone, quiet enough for her son not to hear, nor any others. Asher considered her request an order and it was one he had to obey. How he went about doing it however was a different story.

Asher looked to her when she agreed. Asher sighed a bit as he felt himself become a bit nervous. He wasn't quite sure what he was going to expect....then again she didn't know what to expect from him either. It was only natural she wonder what he was hiding under his hood....other than his face. Asher nodded at her request as she took her son's hand and lead the way into the castle. Asher turned and went off about his own business. He needed to get some more arrows from the blacksmith and wanted to sharpen his blades while he could. Asher walked to the blacksmith and asked for a full quiver's worth of arrows. With arrows in hand, he asked if he could borrow the grindstone. He took a seat before the grindstone and drew his daggers, putting the blades against the stone and using the pedal to get the large circular stone spinning. Within minutes, his daggers were sharp as they could be. Next came his short sword which was as sharp as his daggers now. His longsword however was unique. Asher's blade was made out of Dragonsteel, a material that was lighter than steel, twice as strong, and always sharp.

Asher moved his way towards the castle, feeling a bit odd using doors. He was so used to climbing and swinging through the forest to get about. Asher was a natural climber. Normally he would have climbed to her room but he didn't want to frighten her or barge in on her when she wasn't expecting him, especially when she wasn't expecting him climbing through her window. Asher made his way through the halls, having to ask directions every so often as he soon found his way to her door. He knocked on the door as he waited patiently when she opened it for him. "Good evening Lady Kenna" he said with a nod. He made his way inside and sighed as he turned to her when she closed the door. "Before I take down my hood, I want your promise that this will stay between me and your son. It's imperative that this remain a secret" he said. When she gave him her word, he sighed and nodded as he closed his eyes and took down his hood. His hair was short, raven black and a bit shaggy to the sight. He appeared completely normal aside from the scars you could see. The difference came when he opened his eyes. His eyes weren't human. His eyes were an astounding shade of amber, like a cat's eyes. Like a cat's eyes, his pupils were slits, slits that grew thinner as they were exposed to the light. This was what he was hiding. Asher, a defender of Blackpool and a member of the Raven Guard, wasn't human. He was something else....

Asher expected her to scream. Expected her to call him a freak, or to run. Asher was thankful that he had her trust and her silence. Her son would be trust worthy simply because she wouldn't understand what exactly he was even if he explained. But all it took was the uttering of the wrong word. One word and it was Asher's head on the chopping block. Asher liked his head. The last thing he needed was to lose it because of an ax. He looked to her as she came closer to him, looking deep into his eyes. He looked back to her as she seemed a bit surprised, shocked even. He could hear her swallow and was glad she wasn't running away or shouting. He didn't mind if she asked questions, he would have been surprised if she didn't ask any questions. He sighed and took a seat as she commented how she was a bit taken a back as she knelt before him and promised to keep it secret, rubbing his cheek gently. He sighed and nodded. "Thank you" he said.

He nodded when she put the pieces together, how he could be so skilled compared to the others. How he could see in the dark. He shook his head when she asked if all the rangers were like him. "No. I'm one of the last of my kind. A dying breed" he said. He sighed as he rubbed his eyes and looked to her. "A long time ago, before I was born and before you were born, Argus was ruled by creatures we didn't understand, creatures humanity couldn't fight on there own. Ogres, trolls, werewolves. To face these creatures, mankind looked to magic and science. Thus my kind was born. Humanity bred monster hunters, they bred Witchers" he said gently. The name brought a lot of anger and pain to human beings. Witchers had been revered as heroes when they were first bred, people who sat beside kings and were worth 100 times there weight in gold. That was until the Witching Wars began. When Witchers were soon hunted because of that power. Humanity was afraid of what Witchers would become. For 20 long years, humanity fought the witchers. Witchers were stronger than humanity but had fewer numbers. Witchers burned down villages, slaughtered men, woman, and children alike in desperation. In the end though, humanity had defeated the witchers. The ones who were left fled, hiding in secret.

Asher looked to her as she stood up, admitting that she would love to know more about him. "As many would. The Raven Guard have a running bet on where I'm from" he said with a chuckle. He smiled as she thanked him for letting her know his secret. He stood up with her and followed her towards the dinning hall, pulling the hood over his head as he followed her. He listened as she said that her son doesn't need to know his history though, that they could keep it between him and her. Asher nodded and chuckled. "There isn't much he could ask me that I'm not willing to answer. The only thing I can't say is what I am" he said gently. He followed her as she thanked him. "No need to thank me my lady. As far as I'm concerned I'll go through the seven hells at your command" he said with a smile. He smiled as she said she owed him for this as she touched his arm. He smiled and rested his hand atop hers. "It isn't necessary but thank you nonetheless" he said with a chuckle.

Asher looked into the dinning hall to see her son. He smiled softly at the sight as he made his way in, taking a seat across from her. He was taken aback by the sight of the foot. He was used to just eating bread and cooked pork. Vegetables were a luxury for nobleman and royalty. Asher savored the taste, eating the pheasant and the meal slowly as Gregory rained questions down on him. He chuckled and answered the questions he could truthfully. He was concerned at one point that Gregory would choke as he spoke as quickly he did. "He's curious isn't he?" he said with a chuckle. "Sounds like he'll want to join the rangers when he's older" he said with a chuckle.

Asher smiled and chuckled. "I have no doubt he would be just as good if not better than me" he said with a grin. Asher smiled and could see why she was so proud of him. He could see that Gregory was a little disappointed that he couldn't be a ranger. He smiled softly as Gregory's head seemed to get heavier and as his eyelids began to close as well. He smiled softly as the little boy went off the bed and listened to his mother. Once more, he felt a slight twinge of sadness. Once more, he was reminded of the love he never received as a child. His child hood was harsh. He had fought every day to survive, earning what he found. Then the witchers recruited him. They gave him food, shelter, taught him a trade. The only thing he had to do in return was to let them experiment on him, take the potions they gave him, etc. Asher looked to her as she asked if they could go for a walk and talk. He smiled and patted the napkin against his mouth. "I can go for a walk. I'm yours to command" he said with a chuckle. He smiled when she asked if he'd had enough of the royal family. "Of course not Lady Kenna, only a madman would turn down such a request from such a beautiful woman" he said with a smile. Asher rose from the table and smiled to the beautiful woman. "Lead the way my lady" he said with a chuckle. Asher was pleasantly surprised how much he was enjoying his time with the queen, their meeting had been a bit frightening but they had met none the less.

Asher looked to her as she said that she was glad to hear that. He chuckled and raised a hand. "Not to worry. Ask all the questions you like and I will answer them the best that I can" he said with a chuckle. He walked beside her around the palace slowly as she seemed to enjoy his company. He moved silently as they moved through the garden. He kept his hood down as they walked through the snow covered gardens. The moon indeed was beautiful, full and white like a perfect pearl. He looked to her as she asked how many were left. He was confused by her question at first but soon he came to. "It's hard to say. Witchers are largely nomadic, hiding in the forests and keeping out of sight" he said. His breath fogged lightly as she lead the way through the gardens and followed her. The fountain sparkled a bit in the moonlight, shining beautifully. He looked to her as she asked how long until there were none. He sighed and shook his head.

"Sadly, it's hard to say. Witchers can live a few centuries before they die of old age and are completely resistant to disease. Unfortunately Witchers are completely sterile as well, we can't have children" he said as they walked through the garden. "Those beasts still roam the forests. Every so often my rangers and I encounter one. Their numbers are few and far between but they are dangerous nonetheless" he said with a shrug. Ogres and Werewolves were a problem for the farmers and settlements scattered throughout the forest. But that was just one of the few creatures they encountered. Many creatures roamed the woods, many peaceful and minding their own business, others a bit more aggressive and a danger to mankind

Asher looked to her as she pursed her lips. Witchers were hated by many human beings. It'd been decreed long ago that anyone found to be a witcher was to be executed immediately. Humanity knew that the witchers still existed but still feared that they could return. The word "witcher" wasn't in the history books, it had been purged once the war had ended. The legend of he witcher was passed by word of mouth from survivors to their families. Soon the witchers faded into legend. Much like the beasts of the forest that inspired nightmare. He was happy to answer what questions she had and smiled a bit. He enjoyed speaking about his adventures in the other free cities. His favorite city had been the coastal city of Beachhaven. Such a warm and beautiful place. A prosperous place.

He followed her towards her room as she seemed genuinely happy, giving him an actual smile as she thanked him for saving her and making her son happy. "It's my pleasure" he said gently with a smile as she admitted that he'd made her happy and that she didn't know how to repay him. "You don't have to repay me" he said with a gentle tone as she turned to look to him. He chuckled when she said she wouldn't be seeing him soon. "You may see me. I'm usually in the training yard every morning so you'll likely see me if your up early enough" he said with a chuckle. He watched her look down and back to him as she said if he needed anything that he knew where to find her. "Of course Lady Kenna" he said with a smile. He nodded when she mentioned being here for two weeks and smiled. "I have a bit of free time as well, I'll be sure to speak to one another soon enough" he said with a smile. He took her hand and kissed her knuckle with a smile. "Until then my lady" he said with a gentle tone and smile.

Asher went back to the forest as he was supposed to as the night came, pulling the facial cloth over his mouth to muffle the sound of breathing. Asher returned to his solitude, his tree, watching the wilderness as he closed his eyes and soon fell asleep, his bow resting on his lap and his back against the tree. He was comfortable there. He didn't need the sun to wake him in the mornings, his body woke him for him. He awoke before the sun was coming over the horizon, making his way swiftly through the trees as though he was some sort of bird or ghost. Asher was back at the training yard before the sun was rising. Asher was tasked every morning at testing the newest recruits or testing the more seasoned members of the Raven Guard. Asher was unmatched, dispatching member after member with ease as he often looked up to notice the queen looking down below. He would smile and wave often when he could and then would disappear back into the forest for patrol.

Asher didn't forget his encounter with the gorgeous queen. How could he forget such a thing? She had been the first human to discover his secret and perhaps the only human who didn't immediately try to kill him. He owed her his life, not only was she his queen and he was sworn to obey her but the fact that she held his life in her hands meant that he would have to obey her, even if it broke his oaths. He was in debt to her and would do anything she asked of him. He continued his routine, doing what he did best. However, he occasionally had a free moment. That day was one of those days. He smiled as he found himself with free time and decided to speak with the queen. With ease, he scaled the walls of the palace as the sun was beginning to rise. Normally he would be in the training yard at this point but today he was doing something different. He was scaling the wall of the palace towards her balcony. He hung from the edge of her balcony for a moment and then pulled himself, perched on the edge of her balcony like a gargoyle as he looked to the queen. "Good Morning Lady Kenna" he said as he put a fist to his chest and nodded gently.

Asher looked to her as she looked to her bed and then to him as she teased him about scaling the wall. He smiled at her question about him watching her change. "Many things I am Lady Kenna, a ranger yes, a witcher definitely, but a peeping tom I am not" he said with a chuckle as she made her way to him, saying good morning officially to him as she leaned forward, asking why he was gracing her with his presence, watching as she ran her fingers through her hair and moved it aside to show him a bit of her cleavage. He shivered a bit as he felt himself grow a little stiff at the sight. "I had some spare time today so I felt an obligation to come and see you to entertain you" he said with a chuckle. Asher hopped from his perch and sat on the edge of the balcony, trying to keep from looking at her cleavage as he looked to her as she explained that Gregory was in studies.

It was a bit odd to Asher that a boy as young as Gregory was learning now. Then again though, learning early could be very beneficial to him. "At the very least, your son will be wiser than his father and hopefully a better king" he said gently. He was loyal to his king but that didn't mean that he didn't have an opinion like some of the sheep that served their king. Asher took his hood down and looked to her, his pupils dilating to restrict the extra sunlight and so he could see properly. "I hope my presence isn't a bother to you. If it is I'm more than happy to leave you be for now" he said gently. Asher was struggling a bit to keep his eyes off of her breasts but then again there was probably a reason for the show.

Asher smiled but didn't notice her lick her lip as she thanked him and admitted her appreciation. "It's my pleasure Lady Kenna. As far as I'm concerned I am not only a loyal servant but I owe you my life" he said with a nod as he sat and relaxed. The cool air didn't bother Asher much considering he was in the mountains most days and outside indefinitely. You had to learn to ignore the cold and stay warm without giving yourself away in the trees. That was the biggest asset for the Raven Guard, the ability to survive while staying hidden. Asher looked to her when she said that her son would be the better king, that she would make sure of it. He nodded sadly as she admitted what most thought, civil war was looming on the horizon. No one wanted to admit it but it was true. If Lord Blackpool continued waging stupid wars for stupid reasons, Argus would become a battlefield. But that was talk for another time.

Asher looked to her as she asked what he had come for, to be in her presence and flatter her or something else. Asher smiled and chuckled at her bold question. "I'm here to do as my queen commands me, being in your presence and witnessing your enchanting beauty is simply an added benefit of the task at hand" he said with a chuckle. He hopped off of his ledge and looked to her. "But perhaps it would be better if we move inside to escape the chilly morning air?" he inquired with a raised eyebrow.

Asher was a bit perplexed by her question. What if she wasn't a queen but merely a peasant in the village? How would he act then? It was a good question as she followed him into her bedroom. He looked to her as she took a seat on the edge of the bed, looking to him. He looked to the chair she motioned to as he took a seat across from her, taking his sword from his hip and his quiver as well. He smiled as she said she wanted to be treated like a person, she didn't want to give him orders unless she needed to. He smiled softly and nodded. "As you wish La--.....Kenna" he said with a chuckle. He smiled and gave it some thought as she then spoke, saying that if he would rather keep things professional then they could do that as well. "It's ok, I like our relationship as is" he said with a smile. He gave it some thought. "If you weren't a queen, I would treat you the same. I would make you feel like a queen regardless. Your a beautiful woman who deserves to be treated like a true queen and more" he said. He looked to her and leaned forward to look her in the eyes. "I see the see the way the king treats you and it sickens me. He doesn't respect you, nor does he treat you the way you deserve. You. The mother of his child" he said gently.

Asher looked to her as she shook her head, looking up to him as she rubbed his cheek softly. Her skin was soft and delicate. Perhaps the softest thing he'd ever felt against his rough and scarred skin. He listened as she defended the king. Asher gave a lightly sad look as she tried to defend this man. He didn't understand it but then again, Asher wasn't exactly subtle. He was about as straightforward as you could be. He looked to her as she looked into his beautiful amber eyes. He had a gaze that didn't let you go. It was like he could see past the flesh, the muscle, and the bone to the very depths of your soul. He looked to her as she held his cheek still, their lips close enough that all it would take one one bold move to taste. One slight motion to feel a woman's lips against his again. He looked into her eyes as she inquired about accompanying her to a party with her. He was going mad. He couldn't take the temptation any longer and he couldn't stand to see this goddess be ignored by a man who didn't deserve his crown. Asher slipped his leather glove off, revealing his chapped but still slightly soft hand. On it was a ring with a beautiful emerald, the band the shape of two snakes eating each other's tails. He rested his hand against her cheek and moved in quickly before she could say anymore. Within a moment, their lips were sealed together. Asher hadn't known the taste nor the feeling of a woman in a long time, the last time he could remember was after he had been turned into a witcher. He held her cheek and the kiss, feeling a warmth go through him as though a comfy fire had been lit in his chest. His lips were a bit cracked and chapped but soft nonetheless. He smelled of sweat, dirt, nature. The things a true man was meant to smell like, one who worked day in and day out and learned to appreciate the beautiful things in life

Asher held the kiss along side her, tasting her soft and sweet lips as she rested her hand on the back of his head to pull him in, holding him closer as she sucked his bottom lip into her mouth and broke the kiss ever so slowly. Asher's heart was racing, pounding like a war drum with an army on the march. Asher couldn't recall exactly how long it had been since his last kiss but it had been a rather long time. He was thankful that his technique hadn't diminished with time from what he'd been told, he was a very good kisser. As the kiss slowly came to an end, Asher caught her bottom lip with his teeth. He didn't so much bite as he did graze her lip. He released a slow and hot breath as he opened his eyes to look into hers, her hand still on his cheek and rubbing slowly. He smiled softly when she said that the kiss had been nice. He could feel how hot her skin had gotten thanks to the kiss and he didn't blame her. His cool skin had become warm as well from the kiss in question. "It's been such a long time since I've tasted beautiful" he whispered gently, caressing her cheek. He ran his thumb along her lower lip slowly and gently, his lips still close as he searched her eyes for something. All Asher wanted to do was give her the attention she deserved, to make her feel like a woman once more and pretend that she wasn't the queen to a spoiled king. He wanted more as well but didn't want to make a move unless she asked him too. He had made the first move, it was now her turn to make a move if she wanted to even do anything.

Asher smiled softly when she smirked and then pulled him in once more, kissing him again. Asher caressed her cheek again as she laid back onto the bed, pulling him with her as she spread her legs and put them on either side of his waist and hips. Asher released a hot breath as she ran her hands down his back. Asher kissed her back, his lips burning with desire. He hadn't felt so excited in such a long time. His skin was hot as she kissed him a bit more passionately. Asher kissed her back hotly as he slowly opened and closed his mouth slowly. He released another hot breast as she nibbled on his lip. His hand went to her leg as he gripped it a bit. He smiled softly as the kiss was slowly broken, looking into his eyes and pushing his hair back to look him in the eyes and study his features. Asher knew how dangerous this was, that this could kill both of them if they were caught. He looked to her as she said she couldn't go past this but she wanted to go farther. Asher bit his lip and looked to her.

"I want to as well" he whispered gently. He looked to the window and had a thought. "If you really want to....we could take this somewhere more secluded" he said gently. He knew a place in the forest that would be away from prying eyes. Not to mention it was absolutely gorgeous. Asher would go there often to find peace and quiet and to admire the beauty of nature and to admire the ruined architecture. Despite being a few thousand years old, it was still absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention it was warm thanks to the natural hot springs. "I can understand if you don't want to though" he said gently as he kissed her lips softly once again.

Asher looked to her as she rubbed his back while he spoke, seeming to be rather curious where he was talking about. He didn't blame her. He was being a bit cryptic about it and he would have been surprised if she didn't wonder what he had in mind. He looked to her as she looked down between them. He listened as she spoke, saying that they shouldn't do it as she looked up at the ceiling, seeming to be torn between going through with it and just forgetting this ever happened. He released a breath as she kissed his neck and then made a decision, saying that she'd meet him outside in just a few minutes. Asher smiled as she pushed him off of her playfully. Asher chuckled and pulled up his hood, making his way towards the balcony. With the same swiftness he had climbing up, he climbed down with ease. Within moments, he was on the ground and waiting for her. As she came down, he smiled softly and looked to her as he motioned towards the gate, leading the way towards the woods. When they were out of visual range of the castle, he took her hand and smiled as she asked if they were being watched. Asher looked up, almost seeming to be able to see through the leaves and the branches and see in a way no one else could. "No, we're alone" he said with a smile. "We're almost there" he said gently. As they walked a little farther, he smiled as they soon found what he was looking for. Before them was a hole in the ground. It was just big enough for someone to crawl down into. From the very hole rose steam and came a faint light. Asher climbed down and offered his hand to her letting her come down as well. The chamber in question appeared to be a collapsed ruin, something ancient. It wasn't human architecture, that was for sure. More than likely, it was elven. Not only that but along the walls grew beautiful roses, roses that had a faint glow to them and lit the room. Within the middle of the chamber was a what appeared to be an ancient bath. A bath with water that was warm to the touch.

Asher took his hood down and looked at the architecture. Asher couldn't read the elvish on the walls but Asher would discover later on that the room they were in was once a shrine to an elvish goddess of love. He couldn't have picked a better location if he had tried. Asher looked to her as she admired the beautiful architecture, admiring the beautiful flowers that were in bloom despite it being the Time of Harvest. He smiled as she touched the roses gently, walking past the hundreds of roses that grew off the walls. He looked to her as she admired the pool as well. "I came across the ruin a few months ago. I was patrolling and I broke through the ceiling by accident" he said with a chuckle. He looked to her as he found that she was stripping out of her dress. He took his hood down and looked to her as she stepped into the water. The water came up just above her breasts, the water hot enough to be comfortable. Asher admired her beauty for a moment, looking to her as she waded through the water and enjoyed the heat as she seemed comfortable.

Asher watched as she dipped her head back and got her hair wet. Her hair and skin glimmered, shining like a precious jewel in the sea. He admired her timeless beauty as her makeup washed away with ease thanks to the warm water as she seemed to feel absolutely amazing in the warm and perfect water. He'd spent many a time enjoying the healing properties of the waters. He had no idea why the waters healed the wounds of the body and shed the stresses of the body so easily but here it was, a gift from the gods for the mortals to find. He looked to her as she asked if he was gonna stand there or if he was going to join her. He looked left and right and grinned and quickly began to undo his belt. It fell to the floor, his sword clattering to the floor as he stripped his cloak off, followed by his shirt. He hopped on one foot for a moment as he tried to remove his boot and fell into the water. As he came up, he finally managed to get his clothes off completely, setting the wet pants and boots on the edge of the bath. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed, opening his eyes to look to her. The water was clear and let her see the scars that covered his body. There were so many. Some were clearly burn marks, others slashes, and others were clearly claw marks from some kind of large beast

Asher kept under the water for a moment, enjoying the warmth as she giggled. While she would think he hadn't heard her giggle, he most certainly did. He didn't mind her giggling and laughing at his mistake. He came up and took a breath, running his hand through his wet hair as she commented about the walk being difficult with wet clothes. He smiled when she said they would have to stay till their clothes were dry. "I couldn't agree more" he said back with a smile. He watched her swim up and put her hand on the back of his neck. He closed his eyes as she rubbed his chest, enjoying her touch as she touched the scars, asking what had happened to him as she moved behind him to see the large collection of scars on his back. "Quite a bit. Every scar holds a story, and every story has a scar" he said with a chuckle. He relaxed as he felt her lips on the middle of his back. He moved his arm behind him and rubbed her lower back slowly as she rested her cheek against his shoulder. As she touched his toned stomach, he looked to her as she asked if he wanted to risk this. He smiled softly as he rested his hand against her cheek, kissing her lips slowly and holding it a moment as he broke it slowly. "Many things I'm certain of in this life Kenna, I've never been more certain of something in my life" he said softly back. He brought his lips to her neck as he caressed her cheek, kissing up the bottom of her neck towards her jaw, grazing his teeth against her neck. "I want you Kenna. All of you" he whispered hotly into her ear.

Asher smiled softly as she moaned, enjoying the feeling of his lips against her neck. He grinned as she looked into his eyes and told him to take her, claiming his lips for her as he rested one hand on her cheek and the other on her shapely rear, giving it a light squeeze as she wrapped herself around him. He grunted and released a hot breath as she took hold of his member and began stroking it. Asher leaned his head back and released a hot breath and a groan as he felt waves of pleasure engulf him. It had been a very long time since he'd felt such pleasure. He was loving this greatly as he grew to an impressive length and girth. His manhood was perhaps the only unscared part of his body. He groaned out in pleasure as she pushed his twitching member into her hot womanhood, her moan echoing off the walls slightly as she gripped him even tighter, moving her hips and getting him moving. He breathed hotly as she rode him slowly. This wasn't just for him, this was for both of them. She wanted to enjoy this as much as he was. He stroked her thigh and gripped it a bit firmly as he began to thrust into her. He was a bit out of practice (though she probably wouldn't have known that) and wanted to take this slow, to get his mental rhythm back as he plunged deep inside of her quivering center. "Kenna......it's so good" he breathed as he kissed her neck and chest hotly.

Two sounds were apparent to him the moment they began to move with one another, the sound of the water as it collided with the sides of the pool and the sound of her hot moans as she rode him. Asher was more than aware of the fact that they had to pretend nothing was between them when they weren't alone and Asher was willing to do so. He already had practice considering he had to conceal his identity fro the world itself. Asher looked back into her eyes as she moved faster, her moans echoing more intensely as wave after wave of increasing pleasure hit him. He groaned with her and growled like a beast as she dug her nails into his shoulder, almost certain she had drawn blood as she held on for dear life. He maintained his hold on her thigh as he thrusted faster with her, getting as deep as she would allow him as she assaulted his lips with hers in a fit of passion. Asher felt his manhood throbbing more intensely, growing closer and closer to his finishing point as she grew tighter around him. She was getting close as well, he could feel it in the way her body quivered, the way she clawed him, the way her moans reverberated of the walls. He wanted her to feel the pleasure she wanted. She was his queen, it was his duty to give her what she desired.
