Some where looking for myself
Col Scott Nightland's thick fingers pushed though the high grass forming a small peering crevice. His dark blue orbs scanned over the area noting the places that would offer a concealable cover if he was spotted. He was warned about the ability of commander Taylor and that terra nova sheriff, Jim Shannon. A mix of deadly ability that many men before him failed to take head of.

Scott wiped the small black strand of hair from his eye before resuming to scan over the area. His mission was to kill commander Taylor and resume command over the complex, however, a well prepared Taylor foiled the large assault and managed to get away, only to come back with a vengeance to reclaim Terra Nova. Taylor's action costed the E-Corp a lot of lives and the only passage way for them to send reinforcements and not to mention the only way for Scott to get back.

Scott finding his next spot to move too. He darts across the small opening and diving into the heavy brush. Yeah, the only course Scott had now was to find away to blend into the populace of Terra Nova and bide his time till a way was found to get back to the future or the opportunity to take Taylor out, but Taylor wouldn't be the only one he had to kill, that Shannon character had to die as well if Scott was to take over Terra Nova.

Leaping, rolling, crawling Scott reached the perimeter of the destroyed gate. Bodies still littered the ground floor from the blast. His objective was to find a means of infiltrating Terra Nova and the easiest way was to find a dead solider and relieve him of his uniform. The task was an easy one for he managed to find a body of a dead Lieutenant. The blood splatter and wounds that the uniform had would give him a story of being knocked out for hours. He would then tell the tale of getting lost and wondering for days before finding Terra Nova. Scott took in a deep breath while he removed the lieutenant's uniform, the patch of First legion embroiled on the left shoulder was his way into the complex, the rest would have to be dealt with as it came to be, something he was well adapted in doing.

Finishing, Scott headed out to find a place to lay low for a couple of days. It wasn't long till he found a thick uprooted tree that would give him good shelter from the elements but also give protection form the carnivores. Making the rest area comfortable as possible Scott took his place and waited.

A few days later Scott was walking toward the gates of Terra Nova. His eyes scanning over the security. His hands up and empty as the made his way up to the gate. "Hold your fire!" he yelled out, " I'm Lieutant Scott Nightland from the First Legion." he shouted out as he watched the Sergant of the guard approach the gate.

Sergeant Katherine Doyle walked through the the area that use to be the market of Terra Nova. They had successfully reclaimed Terra Nova and it was good to be home, but there was a lot of rebuilding to do. The mahogany haired woman walked, her boots crunching on the gravel. Kat had come to Terra Nova a number of years ago, as a recruit for security. She completed the course second in her class and had caught the eye of Taylor and Washington. They'd groomed her for a role of leadership, and now she was in charge of the group of soldiers that guarded the perimeter of Terra Nova.

Her pale, nearly colorless gaze looked out of the jungle as she stood in a watch tower. She was 5'6" and athletically built, one would hardly consider her a threat just by looking at her. But she had remarkable hand to hand combat training and wasn't too bad with a stunner either. After several moments hse climbed down and went to help with some of the repairs. The days were filled of that, checking on her command and then finding something to repair.

She heard one of her men call out "Sarge!" She pivoted and walked towards the gate as she heard " I'm Lieutant Scott Nightland from the First Legion." frowning she lifted a hand to her men, a silent command to stay sharp but not fire. Nor did she order them to raise the gate, which had been the first thing repaired.

She drew her weapon but didn't aim it, standing on the other side of the fence she raised a brow, "What do you want?" She asks, her voice emotionless and cold. She didn't see this man as a friend and had no intention of letting him inside Terra Nova unless it was in restraints.

His group was the reason the colony was in pieces, why colonists had died, and now they were all cut off from the future. Though the last part she didn't mind. She figured they'd be able to survive, it woudl just be a matter of readjusting their way of thinking, changing the way they did things.

Her eyes never left Scott and her body remained ridged, mentally preparing for an attack. She was dressed like most soldiers, combat boots, dark camo pants and a black t-shirt which exposed her copper skin, a legacy of a native american heritage and time spent out working in the sun.

Orbs of cold blue focused upon the coppery tone woman. Her posturing was a stance well known to him for that was the common stance of a well-trained soldier of the special armed forces, and one that he would not allow to show in this stand off for he was to pass off as just a meek first Lt biding his time until something better came along. Her posturing wasn’t one of gloating, it was one that was formed out of habit for making it through the rough training required to earn those combat eagles that he was sure she had in her possession. Her stance brought memories of a corporal he had crossed paths with long ago, she was small just like this sergeant and was painfully misjudged as the small cpl gave him three broken ribs and a week in the hospital, so there was no way he was going to question her ability.

Her words were one of causal demand from someone in her position, and one that he expected. Keeping his hands up, palms outward, he lowered his gaze from hers as he took that short timer stance of a bypassing Lt. “I was hoping to find shelter and protection from the wilds.” He weakly responded to her question. The whole time he wanted to say I came to kill all those that oppose me, but refrained from doing so. He kept his gaze down like some whipped dog standing before his owner. He hoped that his pathetic posturing would ease her alertness; however, now that he played this part in his mind, he was once again misjudging a small framed female.

“I know your concern but I give you no threat, I’m just a Biochemical officer sent over with the 11th pilgrimage to help your doctors with formulating Biochemical hazard antidotes.” He weakly managed to whisper out. “I was knocked out from the explosion at the gate and when I came too everyone was gone so I have been wondering out there for days.” He looks over his shoulder at the jungle before refocusing upon the coppery sergeant.

His mind swirled about as he tried to read her body movements, his hand instinctively clenched into a fist as the posture of combat readiness came to his form. Even being a chemist they were trained in combat so he had to at least show some of that training if he wanted to get inside those gates. He began to feel the power of this female and soon realized that the task of his wasn’t going to be as easy as he hoped. He had to buy time and earn their trust so it was going to be a long-term operation. “So what is it that I need to do to get you to let me pass those gates before I become a predator appetizer?” He gestured with his hands as he wished to lower them. “As you can see I am unarmed!” his voice showing a little fatigue of holding his hands up…

Her nearly colorless eyes narrowed, watching him suspiciously. Her eyes scanned his form, nothing in his body language showed anything different than the story he told, but she was still hesitant to believe him. She smirked at his question "You need to stay right where you are." She ordered sharply. She looks at her second in command, a blond haired man about her age. "Find the LT or Commander, tell'em whats happening and see what they want me to do." She ordered softly and Hunter took off at a brisk jog. She couldn't make this decision on her own, but she would respect whatever decision either Washington or Taylor made.

She looked at him "Go ahead and lower your arms, What's your name?" She knew that chances were that he was exactly who he says he was and they had just somehow missed him when they'd been searching for civilians. But after the attack and the Phoenix group, she was hesitant. Hunter returned a few moments later, "Commander Taylor wants you to let him in, bring him to him." She nodded, looking up, "Raise the Gates," She looked at the man, "Come here," She ordered, much like she might order a dog to come to heel.

Her left hand rested near her weapon, she didn't think this man would be armed or that he would be foolish enough to fire one if he had one, but she wouldn't take any chances, not yet.

Scott shifted his weight from left to right than back to center while his stare was still upon the coppery tone woman. His mind’s eye still was sizing her up in ways more than just what a brawler would do to his opponent at ringside before the match began. He wondered how it would feel to be rolling around on the ground with her, how would she defend against his attack? Would she use aggression as her defense? It was all a game of cat and mouse, and only boiled down to who was more observant, patient, and reflexive respondent over the other. A mental chuckled occurred when he wondered just how reflexive respondent she would be with him between her legs.

His mental sexual encounter with her ended when ordered one of the men to report to command, a nod come to his head as she gave him the okay to lower his arms. Her question of his name made him blink and smile. “I’m LT Scott Nightland.” he answered her with a stable voice. His slight British accent filled his answer.

“Now we are getting somewhere.” Scott spoke out upon the return of the errand boy. Once again a smile came to his face as she ordered them to raise the gates. Now things were shifting in the direction he was hoping the would go. His gaze met with the sergeants upon her bestowing her command over him. His mind shifted to the thought of how fun its going to be forcing her to do what he wanted her to do. A small smirk formed while he approached her. His eyes now traveling up and down her taking in her features as he was getting closer to her.

“So has anyone ever told you how attractive you are Sergeant?” He asked bluntly. While his eyes fixed upon her weapon hand. “That is unnecessary, I’m not a fool.” His eyes fixated back upon hers. He once again tried to read her posture to see if he was getting under her skin. Well, he would rather get under her uniform, but that would be another day. “So, Shall we?”

She listened as he told her who he was, so far he seemed easy enough to work with, she hoped that continued. The gates rose and he walked towards her. Kat was well aware of him looking her up and down, but she didn't react to it. The world may be more open to women doing traditionally men's jobs, but there were always the ones that sized her up or leered at her, she'd long ago decided that it just didn't matter. She rolled her eyes when he asked if anyone has ever mentioned how attractive she was. "One or two," She replied blandly. She kept her hand settled on her weapon despite his words. "Well keep from being a fool and you might just make it here." She said.

She pivoted and walked beside him on his right side so he wasn't beside her weapon. They crossed the compound to where the command center was, though it was still in partial ruins, they'd restored most of the Commander's office. She walked up the stairs, leading Scott. She knocked briskly on the door and waited for permission to enter. Hearing the Commander's voice, ushering them in, she opened the door and stepped inside. "This is Lt. Scott Nightland, he was apparently part of the 11th pilgrimage, a Biochemical Officer." She said.

She looked at Commander Taylor and Lt. Washington who stood beside him. As she'd expected she was dismissed, but told to stay nearby. So she ended up out on the balcony, knowing she'd likely be the one assigned to either escort him back out of the gates or to a small single house where he could stay.

((Sorry for the delay, found fleas on my animals, so it was a huge project cleaning the house and them))

Scott eyeballed the compound with his eyes while the Sergeant lead him toward the command compound. Not turning his head, he surveyed the compound, taking in guard positions, building locations and their type. He shifted to the ass of the sergeant when they proceeded up the stairs. His mind once again undressed her and was pleased with the image his mind came up with, oh he was going to enjoy taking this one for himself.

His eyes narrowed at the commander and his side kick bitch. How he wanted to kill them both right now but that one sexy female outside would be the problem. She would enter on the slightest sound of combat, and he had the feeling she would not hesitate to put a slug in his ass. No, time will give him the opportunity. Besides he wanted that ass that was outside.

He saluted the commander and nodded to his equal. "Commander." Scott addressed him but was put on alert when he only got a stare. His eyes shifted to the Lt for a brief second, realizing she too had that cold stare. He knew then there was no trust her but at least he wasn't just shot where he stood. This isn't good he whispered to himself as he kept the stare with the commander.

Scott only nodded when the commander motioned for the Lt to escort Scott back outside to the sergeant. The commanders order to the Lt was clear. He was to be given a single house in the security sector. He was also assigned to the sergeant until he was cleared. This didn't sit well with Scott but what was he too do, he had to play their game for now, and in away that would be great for that would give him time to get into the sergeant's pants. He smiled when his eyes fell upon her once more..

Katherine, leaned against the railing, waiting for the meeting to finish. She watched Wash come out and relay the commander's orders. Her frown deepened, and the LT just patted her on the shoulder before leaving. The two women were actually fairly close friends, but that didn't show when they were on duty. She eyed the new guy, "Come on," She turned on her heel and walked down the steps. She led him on the most direct route to the security housing. And as luck would have it, there was an open house next door to hers. She led Scott up to his door. "Here's your house. Until you're cleared you basically get to trail me around all day. I start at 5am, I expect you to be ready. I won't change my day to accommodate you. If you can't keep up, I'll lock you up where you can't cause trouble until I'm finished for the day." She says bluntly, unlocking the door and stepping inside before handing him the keys.

"We'll go to the supply room and get you the things that you need immediately the rest you can collect when you get time." She says, giving him a few minutes to look around the simple two bedroom house as she waited by the front door. Kat certainly wasn't looking forward to having him following her like a lost puppy, until the Commander was satisfied that he wasn't a threat.

Scott's eyebrow arced upon the stare down from the sergeant, his ego stating that she wanted him, but the hard truth of it was that she didnt trust him and that was going to be a problem. Scott cleared his throat and nodded When she ordered him to follow her. Once again his eyes takes in her curves and allows a low toned mmmm escape his lips.

Once again his eyes scans over the complex as they walk toward what he understood was their security zone. The security patrols here was just a show for the real security of the area wasn't displayed out in the open. Aggravated at his inability to spot this security, he had no choice but to try and get to this sergeant and seduce her, this thought brought a smile to his face which was quickly wiped off his face when she stopped and mentioned that this was his housing.

The part of him having to follow her around all day was a blessing for it would make it easier and less noticeable of him slowing hitting upon her. He had to move slow for this one wasn't a foolish soldier and she might see what he was going. He had to play this like a good game of chess plan before moving, look at all the angles.

"Don't worry Sarge, I believe I can keep up." he smiled at her before looking around the unit. He took great care to look for any viewing devices but again was set back by not finding any. Making his way back toward her, his eyes still undressing her, a move that he couldn't stop himself from doing.

"So Sarge, when does my day start?" he looked at her with his brow at a slight arc. "And what will we be doing on this follow the leader day?" a small smirk formed upon his face.

Katherine watched him with her colorless eyes. "Now. I'll show you where the supply building is, we'll get your stuff, dump it here, then I have things to do." She says, turning and heading back out to the main road. "We will be doing nothing. I will be checking perimeters, holding training classes and anything else the Commander needs me to do." She says as they walk. It was a short walk to the supply building. She spoke quietly with teh soldier on duty, then stepped back. "He's grabbing your stuff."

She pulled out her com, speaking into it softly, the hanging up. IT didn't take long for the young soldier to return, handing the pile of supplies to Scott. "This is just the basics, if and when you need more, just let us know." He says with a friendly smile. There was a change of clothes, hair brush, tooth brush, shampoo, and other necessities that Scott would need. There were clothes and other household items already inside the house.

Still not speaking to Scott, KAt walked back to his house so he could drop the stuff off. Then they had to continue her rounds before doing an evening training class on hand to hand combat.

Again, Scott surveyed what he could on the small walk to the supply unit, taking in numbers, weapons they were carrying and anything extra that they had, which wasn’t much to his surprise. Maybe the attack on this place was more devastating to them that was really known by the sixers or the company. His mind traveled back over what his purpose here was, to assassinate the commander not do a salute report. He guessed old habits are hard to kill. His only real need is to find out what the commanders daily routine is and although he doesn’t mind being with this sergeant all day, she is not going to get him in a position so that he could study the commanders movements.

He took his bare necessaries from the smiling supply clerk, his first impression of the man was he must be gay but then realized he wasn’t smiling at him but her, now that made much better sense of the smiling clerk and a relieve for he would really hate to break the mans heart. Scott smiled at the thought of breaking the mans heart but then refocused upon the sergeant whom didn’t even respond to the smile. ‘Damn one cold ass bitch.’ his mind whispered out.

Tossing the stuff he received on the small bed of his chosen bedroom, he turned back to the sergeant with a nod of task completed. His eyes traveling up and down her once more with growing intensity, “Tell me sergeant where do you shower?” the question wasn’t expected to get answered but just to see if she even gave any type of response which he got what he figured he would get and that was nothing.

When they arrived to the training unit his eyes once more scanned over the personnel, they were either very young or getting up in age. The attack really did a number on this place, not only depleting it of supplies but taking the bone of the fighting force for he only counted maybe fifty regulars round about the complex. This fact was the first good news he has crossed today besides being assigned to Kat all day. The class in itself was interesting as he watched Kat’s movements and fighting ability. She was well trained and very skillful, that wasn’t so good, but he believed he could take her, a trial that he wouldn’t mind finding out, if the outcome was her naked and underneath him.

When the day long training was over and they were alone once more, Scott moved closer to her, “I noticed you don’t like me and consider me a nuisance. So I ask you what have I done to you Kat?” he used her first name to try and break the mistrust she held so strongly too. Something that he had to do and was wondering if even her lover could break this coldness.

Katherine tilted her head at him when he asked where she showered. Rolling her pale eyes she shook her head, "In my house." Then continued on until they got to the training grounds. Pointing at a bench she says, "Sit. Stay." She'd been a soldier before, back in 2149. A Military Dog Handler, old habits die hard. So occasionally she still gave commands like she was talking to her canine. She proceeded up in front of the group, giving a lecture on hand to hand combat before pairing up the soldiers to spar. She rotated through them, sparring with them herself.

She beat them easily, but they all learned something. By the end she was sweating through the back of her dark shirt and sweat glistened off her neck. Dismissing all of them she reached for a towel and a bottle of water, watching as Scott made his way over. She arched one brow, listening to him. Then shrugs. "You're a stranger, simple as that. I could list the number of people I trust on one hand. And other than that, you are a nuisance, one who I have to babysit until they finish your background check." She took a long drink before continuing. "Honestly, if it was me in charge, with the way the colony is now. I wouldn't have let you in the gates." She rubbed the towel over the back of her neck and face.

"Anything else you need? Everything will be closing up and I wanna get home." She desperately wanted a shower and some dinner, but she figured she should make sure Scott had everything he needed and was tucked in his house before she turned in for the night.

Sharp blue eyes peered over the compound from the advantage point of the commander’s balcony. Aging but still very strong hands wrapped around the support railing with a degree of concerned pressure. He looked over at the Lt whom was looking at him with a slight tilt to her head, a hard look that he was accustomed to getting when she was concerned with his concerned posturing. “What’s up commander?” her voice holding that authority tone that he loved about her. She held her duty as his second in command up twenty-four seven, just as he does, she would be a chip off the old block if she was his daughter, but that is another story.

He turned his face back to the training ground, “Him.” His heavy tone carried the concern upon it. “Why would they send a bio officer here? We already have the top notch scientists with their teams here and beside that fact, we don’t have biochemical warfare items here and nothing was coming over with the eleventh pilgrimage that would have required his skills.” He looked back over to her for a moment, taking in her then why look upon her face, before looking back toward the training ground, fixing his eyes upon Kat. “I have a feeling about him and if I put him a maximum situation two things would have happened.” He looked back over at her, “He would have clamed up and bid for time, in which would give him time to study our elite security personnel, and for what his silence.” He paused for a moment before continuing, “Then Shannon after a period of time would be up my ass about keeping him contained. So not to have that headache upon my already headache, I decided to give him some room to move around so that we can see what he is really up too. So Lt,” his stare hardened up, “I want you to be the second pair of eyeballs upon him. Keep close and sharp for when he makes his move we will be ready.”

“Yes Sir.” She responded even with a tint of disagreement on what he was doing, but at least he chosen one of the best she had to be the initial babysitter. Her eyes drifted from the commander over to where Kat was still training her class. She felt like shit not being able to warn the Sergeant of what was going on, but with her background she could handle the situation, but then again she could also handle the situation of knowing what was going on.
Scott only smiled when she answered his question with a knowingly bland response. He still looked heavily upon her with his weakness. Her sweaty body put even a greater urge of wanting in his already bubbling over desire. His mind playing back over the training session and the way her body moved and looked. The images fueled his situation as he felt his cock hardening, unable to shift his emotions to kill his raging hard on he just decided to let it stand.

When her question of was there anything else he needed he so desperately wanted to hit upon her with his sexual desires but refrained from doing so for if she couldn’t see his raging hard on then she surely didn’t need to be a hand to hand combat instructor, but he knew she knew of his situation and being as trained as she is, she wouldn’t show him any response, but then again she was also a female. This brought a slight grin to his face.

“Nope, I believe you have given me the bare essentials what would be given to a P.O.W.” He replied before lifting his eyes from her breasts to her eyes. His gaze watched the towel as she tossed it back around her neck. “So Kat, if I may call you that.” He paused for a moment before continuing, “What would be my chances of getting something to drink before bed time, and I don’t mean coconut milk either?” He knew she was tired and probably need that drink as well, but he wanted to see if he had any control of her regardless of how small it would be.

Wash watched from a distance and decided that tonight when the night watch was on duty, she would go to Kat’s house and inform her of what’s going on. She had the right to know that her life could be in jeopardy for the commander never gets this uptight unless he knows something that he’s not sharing with her yet. So Kat would be informed of this concern of hers and what the commanders reasoning of allowing this man into their compound. Well the reasoning he gave her anyway!

Kat rolled her eyes when he mentioned wanting to get a drink. "We can stop by the bar, you can get a bottle to go, drink it at home." She says, grabbing her jacket off the bench. She wasn't in the mood to get a drink at the bar, though she'd likely have one at home after her shower and meal. "Let's go," She headed out of the training ground, it wasn't that much effort to stop at the Boylan's since it was right on the way. Walking down the steps, she greeted the soldiers that she new, including her second in command, Hunter. "Hey, Sarge," He greets, as they stand beside where he was sitting at the bar. She eyed Scott, "Get what drink you want." The blond haired soldier eyed his Sargent. "You ended up on babysitting duty?" He asks, sympathy in his voice.

Smirking, she shrugged, "Yeah, at least for a while." She leaned against the bar to talk with him as she waited for Boylan to serve Scott. It didn't take all the long, She eyed her new charge, "You ready to go?" She asked, hoping he'd be satisfied enough to return to his house now, so that she could do the same. She nudged Hunter on the shoulder and said, "Say hi to Abby for me, I haven't had the chance to see her in the last few days," She says, speaking of Hunter's new bride.

She pushed off the bar headed for the stairs, ready for the easy walk home, as she eyed Scott, "You aren't allowed to leave your house until dawn, if the night guards find you, you will be locked up for the evening and I'd be tempted to leave you there longer." She says as they walk home.

It didn't take all that long until they were outside Scott's house, and hers as well, seeing as they were neighbors now. Sighing she said, "And if you desperately need something, I live next door." She wasn't all that eager to tell him that, though it didn't really matter seeing as he'd find out eventually anyway. She turned and had to tilt her head up to make eye contact with him.

Scott followed Kat once more taking in what he could see, whom he could see and what they were doing. It appeared to him that there was nothing special about this place at all. He could not understand why the company wanted this place. There wasn’t any type of mining machinery here; there were no valuable gem or special mineral ore containment units anywhere. There was nothing but a compound full of settlers doing everyday tasks. Nothing special going on at all, but that didn’t matter for now for it would all change in due time.

He refocused his attention upon Kat and where she was taking him, he followed her down the stairs of a so-called alcohol establishment. His eyes fell upon some of her comrades, whom didn’t impress him what so ever, even their sense of humor was dry and childish. Shrugging his shoulders at the term of babysitting he moved to the tender and asked for a bottle of his best. Tossing a Phoenix gold coin on the bar, he snatched up the bottle before turning to her. “Yeah, the company around here seems to be still stuck in puberty.” He eyed Hunter with a yeah what you going to do now look, before following Kat toward the stairs.

He just tilted his head slightly to her, he wanted so badly to tell her that her pathetic night guard couldn’t find him unless he walked up to them, punched them in the face then stood there waiting for them to get up. He didn’t know how much more he could take of this holding back his skill and acting like a geek tech. “Yeah, I understand Kat.” He replied with a heavy sense of contrariness.

“Really?” he replied to her when she informed him that she just lived next door. His eyes arched up and a grin formed upon his face. “Well knowing that I just might have to test the night guard.” he gave a small chuckle, which was quickly withdrawn from Kat’s view.

“So its five am tomorrow?” he asked before turning and going into his home for the night. His mind going over all that he seen over the course of the day. The information that she gave him of where she lived and the inner conflict of not making a desirable move toward her began.

Wash watched the two closely as they stood in front of the newcomers assigned home. She watched him closely hoping to see any signs of who he really was. The only thing she got from her state was he was awful calm. She looked over to Kat noting how tired and annoyed she was with the man. She actually felt sorry for the Sarge but then the truth of the situation came blaring back into her mind and she became extremely relieved that the Sarge got the duty.

She moved back into the shadows and waited for the Sarge and this man to split up and go their ways. It wasn’t long before that happened and the Sarge waited until the man walked inside before she moved to her home. Slowly Wash moved under the cover of the shadows toward the Sarge’s house. She only had about a half hour for the sun to be completely down giving her the cover of night to move undetected to Kat’s front door.

She knocked lightly upon the door and waited a few moments before whispering, “Kat its Wash.” she turned to face the direction of the newcomer’s house, ensuring that he and no one else was paying any attention toward her. Satisfied she turned back toward the door and waited…

Kat waited until Scott was inside his house before she headed to hers. She changed into a tank top and shorts before heading to the kitchen to make something to eat. Hearing the knock she snarled, "I swear to God, if he's at my door.." She stalked to the door, but tilted her head hearing Alicia's voice. She opened the door with an arched brow, "Hey," She stepped back to let the other woman in. "The door was unlocked, ya coulda walked in," She said. The two had become fairly close and they often were in and out of each other's houses, it certainly wouldn't be strange to find one of them at the other's house, they'd occasionally eat together, or just hang out. Kat enjoyed having another female soldier to spend time with.

"I'm just about to make dinner, you want some?" She offers her friend as she heads back to the kitchen, taking a slow drink of her wine as she continued cooking a vegetable stir fry. She stirred it before eyeing the dark haired woman, noticing the tension in her, "Is everything okay?" She asks, turning to face the other woman as she let the food finish cooking. Her pale grey eyes watched her friend, wondering what had her acting a little odd, though if she had to guess she'd figure it'd be her new neighbor.

Alicia turned and peered out the door before shutting it and slowly turning toward her friend. Her mind raced over all the details once more before sharing the knowledge that she knew. She weighted the outcome of her somewhat betraying the commander by sharing this information but she really had no choice. She ran her hand through her hair while her eyes focused upon the frame of her female friend. “Kat,” She finally broke the silence but fell right back into as the uncertainly of her actions resurfaced.

She walked into the kitchen, still looking at her friend, “Kat, There is something that I need to tell you but its going against the commander and its not all that is going on for I don’t even know.” she reached over and took a sip of her friends drink. Sighing heavily. “Look, this newcomer isn’t what he is trying to pass off as.” she looked into Kat’s eyes. “I believe he is much, much more as does the commander. Taylor is uptight about this guy more than I have ever seen him too be. I also believe the reason why he is in here and not outside the gates is that he must be a highly trained person whom the commander wants in here instead running free out there so that we can keep an eye on him at all times. He has even put me babysitting him from the shadows.” She took another swig from the glass before setting it back down for a refill and gives her friend an opportunity to take a swig as well.

She hopped upon the small counter, looking down at the flooring. “Kat, I have a bad feeling about this guy, so I want you to stay on your toes, don’t underestimate him.” she looked up to Kat with a sincere look, “I also think the commander wanted you to find out all that you can about this man. So I guess congrats is in order for you are now promoted from security to intelligence. Just be careful.” she reached over and took one of the cooking veggies. “Yeah, I’ll stay for dinner unless you have invited your charge over for a night cap!” she chucked trying to break the tension she was having…

Kat leans against the counter watching the woman she'd easily classify as her best friend. She refilled the glass they had finished as she snorted. "Yeah, I figured he wasn't what he said he was, but he's a good liar, if he is indeed not who he says he is." She says, taking a long drink as she smiled a bit, "Don't worry, Alicia, he won't get the upper hand, especially not with you watching my back," She smiles, grabbing two plates and another glass. Dumping the stir fry onto the plates and pouring another glass. Then chuckles, "I think I'll be happy when I'm back to simply security." She says, handing the raven haired woman a plate and glass.

She laughs, "Yeah right, that's exactly what I have planned." She shakes her head, Katherine couldn't imagine actually willingly spending time with Scott, at least not at this point. She sat down at the table to eat. She tilts her head at her friend. "So, why are you sneaking over here in the dark to tell me this? Why doesn't the Commander want me to know?" She asks curiously. Commander Taylor wasn't the type to keep this sort of information from a soldier when it could potentially put their life in danger.

Alicia took a seat at the table, accepting the plate and glass of wine from her friend, her eyes remained upon Kat’s frame the hold time listening to what her friend was telling her. She nodded in agreement that being in the simple security would make them both happier, not that Alicia didn’t think Kat could do intelligence work for in fact, she would excel in it, but being in security would be safer, she eyed her friend with that secret desire that she has been concealing for months now. It started that very first night when they shared a hand-to-hand training session. The Sergeants curvy form glistening with sweat, that moment put images into her head that she could never forget, and to this day every time she sees the Sergeant those images popped up at one point or another took her in. Pushing that all back into the closet she returned to the situation at hand.

Taking a bite of the stir-fry followed by a quick sip of the wine. While contemplating if she should tell Kat what she thought the commander was doing, she took in a deep breath and exhaled with a sigh, forr it was just an assumption of hers and usually assumption was the mother of all fuck ups. “Kat,” she used the small fork to play with the food upon her plate a few moments, “I believe the commander is using you for bait.” she looked up into the gorgeous face of her friend. “See let me put it this way, if the commander told you that he thought Scott was someone dangerous, you would be on a full combative readiness instantly, and if Scott is more than what he says he is, then he too would notice this readiness and refrain from instantly acting out what his intentions are, so the commander figured if you were in the dark, and you thought that Scott was only a nerdy tech, then you wouldn’t have that readiness at full starting out, so he might make his move showing his intentions quicker and more sloppily.” she looked at her friend to see if she understood what she was saying.

She looked back down at her food that was now in a major disarray due to her playing around with it. She began once again moving parts of the stir fry that she liked mixed together and separated the ones she liked by themselves. A behavior that she showed at every meal, her delicate palate was unbecoming of her tough combat skills and character, but she only showed this to Kat when they ate together. Satisfied with the end result of her attention she began to eat.

Kat listens quietly, simply letting her friend speak, her pale eyes moving over Alicia's frame, enjoying seeing her outside of work. They'd hadn't gotten this chance lately and she'd missed spending time with her. She nodded, "Can't say I like the idea too much, but it makes sense." She says, smirking slightly as she watches the other woman arrange the vegetables, something Katherine found very amusing. She on the other hand would inhale just about anything without a care as to what it was. Except maybe some fish. She continued to eat as she watched Alicia, "Try not to worry too much. I've played games of Cat and Mouse before." She grins, "More fun this time, since I don't know which I am," She teased playfully as she took a drink of her wine.

The brown haired woman let her thoughts drift to coincidentally the same hand to hand fight session that Alicia remembered. She remembered them being pressed against each other, breathing hard, each trying their hardest to pin the other one. Maybe she'd always had a small crush on the raven haired woman, but it went full blast that night and hasn't slowed down since. But Kat made sure to keep a tight leash on it, not wanting it to affect their relationship, professional or personal.

Alicia looked up from her plate with a look of unsettlement upon her face. The terminology that Kat placed upon the situation seemed to be too carefree to her liking. She was about to say her disapproval when she realized whom she was talking with. Kat was just like her when it came to missions, it was always best to stay confident in ones ability and Alicia believed in Kat’s ability from the very beginning, her mind drifted back to that training session once more, not in a sexual way but over viewing the skill that Kat showed her dedication in beating her commanding officer. A smiled formed over her face while her eyes drifted up to the relaxing face of Kat. “Cat and Mouse huh? Well chic you best be the damn cat unless you are comparing yourself to Tom and Jerry and in that case you best be Jerry!” Her coal colored eyes revealed the concern that was floating about behind them.

“Shit!” Alicia pulled her gaze away from Kat to the glass of wine. Her hand swirling the red liquid around the diameter of the glass. Her mind wishing this was all over and they were celebrating a mission completion drink, but they weren’t. ’Damn it Alicia’ her mind hissed, ’This could be all for nothing for Scott just might be a nerdy bio officer and the commander is being over sensitive to this newcomer, even though that was highly unlikely. Her eyes drifted back up to Kat realizing it was just her being afraid for the safety of her friend. ‘Damn it’ her hardcore inner voice kicking ‘this is what she is trained for, suck it up Lt’ her inner voice rang out. “Damn, You have had a long day and goanna have a early morning so I need to get out of here.” she hissed while coming to a stand. She took the last sip of her wine and placed the empty glass back on the table. “Well thanks for dinner, we should do it again soon.” she voiced as she turned and headed for the door. “I’ll see you in the morning Kat.” she spoke while closing the door behind her..

Kat laughed, "I'm planning on it," She wouldn't let this man outsmart her, she enjoyed life too much to have it cut short because of her own lack of attention. She stood up as Alicia did, nodding when she said she had to get home. "Yes, we need to do this again soon, I've missed spending time outside of work." She says honestly as Kat followed her friend to the door. "See you tomorrow, Alicia," She murmured, locking the door behind her. She headed to the kitchen, doing the dishes quickly before going to shower then curling up in bed. She slept soundly until her alarm went off at four.

She got up, did her stretching, crunches, and push ups before cleaning up and dressing in her uniform of a black short sleeve shirt, and dark camo pants. Kat tied her hair back and ate an apple for breakfast before sliding her boots on and walking out the door at 4:53am. She waited outside of Scott's house out on the road, curious to see if the man could be on time or not.

Scott walked into the house took a few moments to walk around checking every inch of the house looking for listening devices, cameras, watch holes. A brow arched over his eye for he was surprised not to find any of those items inside the house. Sitting down at the table, he pulled out a pen and paper and began to write down everything he saw over the course of the day. He wrote down the name of the man at the bar known as Hunter and his wife’s name Abby as well. He wrote down a combat scenario against Kat and wrote down all the moves that he thought she could do according to what he witnessed in her training secession, which at the moment wasn’t as thorough as he wished for, but over time he will be able to know every counter she would commit before she did, and if he watched enough, he would be able to tell every move her trainees would do as well based on how she trained them.

Pushing back in the chair with a slight yawn, Scott tossed down the pen and rubbed his face with both hands. His eyes shot up to the clock as it flipped to three am, pushing himself up from the chair and ending his movement with a large stretch. He decided to wait a few more days before adventuring out at night checking the night guard and their abilities. His mind drifted to his personal guard with a smile coming to his face as he pictured her in a tee shirt and panties sprawled out on her bed. He wondered if she played with herself this evening before she went to bed. That image brought a response to him that needed to be taken care of. Moving over to the window and looking upon her house, he slowly unzipped his pants, pulled out his throbbing cock, and slowly began to slide his hand up and down the thickness, palming the enlarged tip of his cock. Squeezing tighter, he moved his hand faster down the hard shaft to the base of his cock then squeezing harder as he stroked the thickness upward and once again over the enlarged tip. Several moments of hard fast strokes aided with the images of her naked touching herself, he released himself with a heavy grunt. “For you Serge.” he whispered out before turning and heading to the shower.

At four fifty seven, he stepped out of his house, clean-shaven, dress in an olive drabbed tee shirt and black camo pants. His eyes fell upon Kat when he closed the door, smiling at her he walked up to her, eyes meeting with hers. “Good Morning Kat, I hope you slept well.” his eyes giving her the once over. “So what is on the list of boredom today?” he made an early morning poke at her attempting to get under her skin, he wanted to test the barriers very early to see how she handles the annoyance factor this early in the day. “I really do hope there is more hand to hand combat. You look really good with sweat drenched clothes for they hug your body really well.” He only chuckled not caring if he was playing out of character for he had enough of it last night to last a lifetime. “Shall we?” he gestured toward the duty station …

Kat rolls her eyes at the mention of more hand to hand combat and enjoying how her body looked. "I've got a meeting this morning, you will be sitting with another guard outside the room." She says as they start to walk. "Then I've got rounds, and to talk to my guards." She also had paperwork to do in her office, and she was taking over for Wash for the survival training class, for the newest pilgrims. And she also had to help with some rebuilding, which she would certainly put Scott to work with.

They headed through the market until they reached the command post. She saw Mark Reynolds waiting, "Reynolds, I want you to watch Scott here, while I talk with the Commander and LT. He's not to go anywhere or touch anything." She says, directing the last statement at Scott himself. "The meeting shouldn't take more than twenty minutes." With that she jogged up the steps. They were just talking about patrols and supply runs to the outpost, so she wouldn't need to stay for it all, just the part that had to do with her soldiers, so she could figure out scheduling, who'd be gone and when.

She knocked briskly, waiting until she heard the Commander tell her to enter. She stepped inside, "Morning," She greeted Taylor and Wash as she sat down.

Scott took no interest in the things this Sergeant had to do. He was more interested in the commanders daily routine, but was getting the impression that he did nothing but sit in his office and delegated authority to his subordinates, which was a common practice with all upper ranking common commanders, him on the other hand was the opposite, he felt that if it was going to get done he was going to have a hand in the matter.

He remained silent when they approached the command post once again. His eyes moved over to the newly introduced want to be solider. He wasn’t impressed with this man but did take the mans name and rank into his memory. He slightly chucked to himself as he began to wonder if he even wanted to take over this place. Hell it would be a daunting task just to get the solders up to average par.

Rolling of the eyes was the only response to Kat’s attempt to degrade him to a small toddler by ordering his restrictive movement and the hands off the cookie jar command. He refocused his attention from the guard to Kat as she jogged up the stairs. Once again taking in the way her body responded to the movement. He licked his lips with anticipation of fucking her when the time was right.

Taylor looked up from the map that they were looking at for a moment to greet the Sergeant. “Morning. Have a seat.” his common tone greeted her as his eyes dropped back down to the map. “I want more patrols on the edge of the badlands. I have a bad feeling about that whole situation.” The order falling to the ears of Wash as she was still looking at Kat. Her attention instantly returned to the map so she could get on the same page as the commander.

“We do have the two full squads out there now, would like to send a third to have there just incase they need instant support.” Wash informed the commander whom was now rubbing his chin in deep thought. “We do have Kat’s, Ummm the Sergeants squad here as well that could be sent out there as well, I believe Hunter could fill in for the Sergeant till the issue with the Newcomer is resolved.” She added as she peered up to Kat with a I know look upon her face.

The commander looked up at the Sergeant as a heavy sign escaped is lips. His eyes seemed to bore through Kat as if she was nothing but a obstacle in his way from getting to his nemesis. “I believe having the three squads out there is enough for now. I want the Sergeant’s squad here with her.” He took another deep breathe, “Sergeant. I have to come clean with you. I don’t think this Lt. Nightland is what he is saying that he is. I believe he is part of the special force team known as the Shadow Brigade, and if he is he is a very dangerous man. I have asked Wash her to help keep an eye on him, but even with that you are in a very sensitive position. I need to know what he really is up too and the only way that will happen is if you can manage to get him to trust you.” His eyes looked away from Kat. “I know I’m asking a lot from you, but there is no body else I can ask to do this, except wash here. So I’ll leave it up to the two of you to decided whom will do this task.” He stood up and looked out the window, I don’t dare kick him out of the gate for he would be more dangerous if we didn’t know his whereabouts at all times. So Sergeant, Are you up to the task of an intelligence officer?”
