Everything's getting more expensive now, Food (especially meat even though we're producing more than ever) however as I've recently learned while reading the articles below, today people are making just as much if not LESS than they were in the 70s and 80s when everything was much much cheaper... why!?

we produce more meat and food, but we can't buy as much which leads to massive wastage.

we have the capacity to make electric cars and will soon be mass producing hydrogen power cells and yet all our cars are running on fuel which is over 10 times as expensive as the 70s and 80s when it was about 9 cents a liter and you could fill up for under 20 bucks.

electricity and gas is more expensive than ever even though we can power our world with solar and wind power and everything we use gas for we can now do with electricity.

the food is not only more expensive, but in many cases we're getting smaller servings than we did in the 1980s as well.

I would like your thoughts on this, am I simply overreacting or is this a situation which might very well lead to financial ruin for millions of people within the next few years?
