Why do you care?
Ok, so this is an idea I had on an extremely random whim. Part of it has to do with my love for the show 'Once Upon A Time', another for Disney because I'm a total geek like that and lastly because I think it can all be made into a twisted world of horror that would be utterly insane and dark and terrifying.

Think blood baths and complex twists where death can occur yet be overcome since the world of fairytales is a world of magic. Just remember that with magic comes a price. BUT it does mean that death isn't permanent.

This allows for much freedom, much violence, much gore, much terror!!!

And for everyone to come back... hehehe... also assuming things work out such that deaths occur of course. Not saying it's a must or requirement, however for those who aren't bothered by it, they can rest assured that their character will come back.

Anyway, this is a group and if there's interest profiles would have to be submitted to me and such. HOWEVER I want to make this as flexible and inclusive as possible. So, basically, if the character(s) are a fairytale/fairytale-like character then chances are it'll be fine for the entire thing.

As for plot? Well, it'll take place in the realm of fairytales. However, what's going on in the background will largely depend on our characters and some discussion between those who show interest. I want this to be a group effort, not the effort of one or two. Also, to help make it such that more have the chance to join up..... FOR NOW, limit is up to 2 fairytale characters per person (perhaps down the line people can take on more if they want).

We should get an OOC thread where we can start talking about plots in public instead of just keeping everything too ourselves. Also Kuro, and Wolfe I am gonna be sending the both of you a pm with some questions because I want to plan some stuff around the wolf (especially considering belle and her ties to another beast)

also the wolf is going to get a few different faces, considering his origin of a feral forest spirit, but This is one of them.
 
Well, Shrek is a modern movie as is the character Princess Fiona in that movie. However, any character from a fairytale, folktale or legend is more than fine and you are free to sort of bend and tweak them to fit as needed so long as it makes sense to the scope of what tale they come from. :)

There's a list to sort of give an idea of what characters are good examples, etc. And you can see which ones have already been claimed as well. *nods* Hopefully that'll help inspire, though there are still a fair number on it and still more that probably haven't been listed yet. XD
 
hmmm question: Would you allow Hades?

I would play him more as a grim reaper and observer to the proceedings..........though he might resurrect people if he finds them particularly amusing to watch. Maybe is sitting in the underworld with some nachos XD
 
Yes, I'd say Hades is fine.... since we're more or less following the Disney fairytales and animated movies, etc. And since he's in Hercules... go for it. :)

Is it too late to join this RP? I have a few ideas for fairytale and folklore characters, such as Morgan La Fey (Arthurian Legend), Loki (Norse Mythology), and the Woodsman (Little Red Riding Hood). I haven't been on BMR in a long time and would love to get back into RP'ing.
 
Bumping because we are now in search of a VERY specific character--Prince Charming! For those who are interested in filling this role, please PM darkangel76 as there is a partial back story that has been developed for him based on a character I have for this group. However, it is open for some tweaking/discussion. Just PM and we can hash things out accordingly and I'll also fill you in on what things have been established so we can figure out what things are liked and can be tweaked and what things can't based on my character's profile/back story, etc. I'm open to ideas, suggestions. THANKS! :)
