Since the beginning of history Vampires and Werewolves have been at each others throats. No one knew why, it just became a way of life and everyone accepted it happily. But now there was talk of peace and unity between the two, something that seemed very unlikely. It was said the ruler of the Vampires and the future ruler of the Wolves were to marry and unite the two kingdoms as one.

Maria was the princess of the werewolves and she thought it to be more than a joke than her people. She dreaded having to sleep with a stake and cross under her nightgown for the rest of her life! Even her own people were betting on how long she would live or how long it would take for her to kill him.

She was young for a future queen at 18, most had to wait till at least fifty if not a hundred, but her training for royalty was short lived and she would be thrown at it, with a bloodsucker who was robbing the cradle.

On the day of her meeting with her betrothed she got up and took the longest hottest shower possible, making sure she was very awake for her meeting with him. Her long white hair was loose around her shoulders and straight. She even did some of her makeup. Maria couldn't decide on the clothes to wear trying to find something that would hide her dagger , a just in case weapon she didn't think he would attack her before the wedding, She settled for a blue flowing dress she could easily fit her thigh holder for her dagger. ( dress)

Her guards entered after she was finished and gathered her bags before taking her out to the limo. Her parents wouldn't be joining her, it was suppose to be an intimate trip. Sighing she sat in the back and stared out the window watching all her peace of mind fly out the window.

Hours of heavy thinking later they arrived at the looming castle where her fate was sealed. The gates were opened for them and they drove through. Once they stopped one of her Guards escorted her to the door.

"I gotta what?!"

A strong voice roared throughout the castle as people were trying to calm him down. He was furious about this whole arranged marriage thing and wondered why no one asked him what he thought. He slammed his room door shut and sighed while sitting on the side of his bed with the his face in the palm of his hands. Allen couldn't believe that this day had come and thought that he would never live to see the day. A knock came placed upon his door as he looked up and sensed that it was his mother. He didn't even have to tell her to come in as she just walked right on in anyway.

"Hello, Mother." Allen said softly while watching her almost glide into the room. "Dear, I know that you are upset but don't you think that it is for the best?" She questioned towards him as he raised a brow while shaking his head. His unresponsive attitude only angered his mother as she gripped him tightly around the arm. "Look, you are going to marry this hairy girl and you are going to love it! Understand me?" She said as he voice grew in intensity. "Yes Ma'am." He said as he loosened her grip from around his arm. "Good. Now get dressed." She demanded of him while walking out of his room, closing the door behind her.

Allen showered and placed upon a blue shirt with black pants and chuck taylors, which were blue and black as well. He got up and went over to his window, moving the curtain over to get a better description of the female that he is to marry. His father called his name for him to come down the stairs as he rolled his eyes with sigh and slowly made his way towards the grand hall of the castle. Allen stood in the middle of his parents, the Elders of the Coven as their human servants opened up the door.

He stood there with his arms folded over his chest and with a disgusted look placed upon his face. "At least she is not hairy." Allen commented, only to be slapped on his back by his father. They welcomed the wolves into their home as Allen smirked, only to make another comment. "If you have to go to the bathroom, we have three. Just don't go on the floor or on our beautiful green grass." He laughed as his mother and father glared at him. He rolled his eyes then looked at the female, up and down then shrugged his shoulders, not really wanting to meet people of her kind. His mother pushed him towards the female as he faked a smile. "Hi, I'm Allen. Yourself?" He extended his hand for her to shake.

Maria walked into the castle elegantly and gave everyone a 1000 watt smile. But unfortunately her demeanor was instantly changed by the rude bloodsucker she was suppose to get marry. Her hearing was better than a normal wolves so when she walked in she heard the hairy comment and her eyes shot daggers at him.

The only time she ever became hairy was in her werewolf form, other time than that the only hair she had was on her head. Her head guard John seen her look and lightly patted her back not looking pleased himself but gave her an encouraging smile. But like a lot of werewolves she had a very short temper. Her guards were trained to keep their cool, herself on the other hand, was not.

But her attention was pulled back to the man and her eyes turned yellow as she listened to him insult her and her wolves. Maria sniffed and gave her best snobbish smile. She forced herself to calm down and her eyes settled back to their original color watching him being pushed towards her.

She took his hand and instead of ripping it off she gave him her best grip, which could have crushed a humans hand. "I'm sorry neither your grass nor your floor look like something worth squatting over." Maria smiled sweetly up at him as she spoke and her guard coughed indicating she should backtrack, "I'm Maria it's a pleasure to meet you."

He felt the pressure that she applied then smirked as he let go of her hand and dropped it by his side. He snapped his fingers and instantly, a male came out of nowhere. He was their human servant and always did whatever they wanted of him. "Grab the bags and cages, if they have them and take them to the guest room please." His eyes peered towards his father as he read his mind then shrugged his shoulders while turning back towards the female and her protector. "Dinner should be ready shortly. Why don't you guys go and wash up. or lick yourselves or whatever werewolves do." Allen smirked while folding his arms again, turning around and going back towards the dining room, where he sat in his original seat. 'Maria.' He thought to himself repeatedly. To be honest, he actually loved that name but wouldn't let no one else know that. "You're thinking about her." His father said while entering the room. Allen nodded his head then raised a brow. "I hate that you read minds." He smirked then laughed a little, watching to see if the werewolves were going to join them for dinner or not.

Maria stared at his back maliciously as he left but it was hard to keep her eyes from roaming over his finer features, which was everything but his personality. Mentally she shook herself and followed the servant still brooding from his comments. How can someone be so openly rude to someone they don't even know! She was at least going to try and be civil. Not now.

Once up to the guest room she cleaned up and put on a knee length black dress that hugged her curves and had long sleeves. Then her guard knocked on her door and she knew it was time to go down with the rest of them. They made an entrance to the dining room and prayed she didn't have to sit near him but she was wrong. Maria was guided to the seat across from Allen.

Allen snarled a little when Maria sat in front of him. His eyes went towards his parents as he faked a smile towards her. "Hope you don't mind but we're not having human meat for supper." He laughed wildly, slamming his hand against the table but then cleared his throat, seeing as if he was the only one laughing, which he was. "Allen, behave, please." His Mother demanded as his Father shot him a look. Allen sunk in his seat then looked up at Maria again. "Sorry but how come you haven't made any cracks about us, Vampires? Is it because that they are more of us then you?" He asked with a raised brow then leaned back, waiting for an answer.

Maria glared at his comment about human meat. Yet he sucks their blood! She sat silently and brought the glass of water the servant brought up to her red lips. She put on her best smile at his question. "No I'm not afraid, I do not fear death. The reason I don't say anything about vampires is because I want this marriage to work, I figure if I let you get out your comments we can get past this sooner."

His eyes looked at Maria with disgust after he comment. He gagged then laughed again while rolling his eyes at her polite demeanor. "Why are you so polite? I thought werewolves were suppose to be vicious." He said with a raised brow as his mother nudged him while looking at Maria. "Forgive him, please. This is first time being in the presence of such a pretty creature such as yourself." His mother comment while walking behind Maria and giving Allen a glare of death. He knew right then and there that one more crack for the night could cause one his bones to be cracked or worse. Allen looked at Maria and when he did, the sun started to gleam through the window. Could that be a sign? He shook his head then took a sip of his water. "So, Maria..." He bit his bottom lip while trying to figure out what to say. "What do you like to do with your spare time?" He asked while taking a napkin and placing it across his lap, picking up his knife and fork just as the food was being brought out. Before eating, he waited for Maria to answer his question.

Maria's eyes narrowed at his comment and her hand gripped her napkin roughly. But his mothers words broke though it all but only furthered her anger. She didn't have to have an amazing sense of smell to sniff out that bullshit from a mile away. But they only wanted what her family wanted, peace. Sighing she looked up at him as he spoke again, but more polite. "I'm pretty active, I love being in water when it is warm out, hiking, fishing , and everything of the sort." She put on her smile again and looked up at him "How bout yourself?" When she was done speaking she looked down at the plate that had a nice smell radiating from it. When she didn't get a wiff of anything poisonous she cut into the meat.
