Love Sucks (Mercenary+Shani)

Satine walked down on of the streets and saw a woman standing there looking a little lost going over to offer her help. Satine walked with the woman to an alley way putting her in a trance, rubbing her shoulders. Sinking her fangs into the woman sending a pleasure venom into her veins so it wouldn't hurt her. once finished only taking a little releasing the woman taking to trance off of her escorting her home. Satine walked passed the cemetery saying good night to her family. Making her way home not sure of the time but new it was closer to sun rise. Getting to her front door taking the keys to unlock it.

Jacques finally saw the large house in the distance and walked faster. Soon enough Jacques was close enough to see Satine'd figure at the door. Well that was convenient. "Hey!" He called out to her, in the property now. "This is kind of embarrassing, and I don't want to burden you, but I need a place to stay. It's perfectly fine if you say no. I might be able to find somewhere else to stay. The motel room I was in got ransacked. It's not safe there anymore." Jacques told her.

Satine heard someone call to her turning around to see James. She watched him curiously as he approached her house. She wasn't sure if she could trust him or not, but she would take the chance. Nodding her head, "You spared my life, I can return the favor...Come on in." She said going inside holding the door open for him.

"Really?" Jacques said, a little surprised. "Thanks! If you need me to do anything to repay you, don't hesitate to ask." He told her as he walked inside. Her house looked old, and it did have a haunted feeling to it.

Satine tilted her head at his tone of surprise. "Don't mention it...I do you a solid you do me a solid that's how it works." She smiled once he was inside she shut the old oak door behind him. "Sorry for how dark it is, I don't have electricity, I don't need much light." She stated all of the curtains were closed blocking out the sun. Satine clapped her hands and a multitude of candles lit. "That's better...please excuse how awful this room looks it's a decoy...for nosy people." She said moving to open a wall which showed her glorious manor looking as new as it did in her time. "I was joking about the electricity thing she said hitting a switch for the lights.

Jacques nodded I response to her as they walked into the real room. "If you prefer no electricity, I can easily manage the dark." Jacques told her. "And I assume with how big the place is you have an extra bed?" Jacques asked, wondering. It was like such a big place had more than one bed, but then again she lived alone and without visitors. Satine was right about the rooms. They were nice llooking and plea beryl lighted. A lot better from the decoy front room.

"Of course have an extra bed, actually there a quiet a few, I used to entertain..." She said trailing off a minute. The front room looked like something out of the Addams family to creep out unwanted visitors. "Don't worry about anything being filthy...I've cleaned the house regularly for the past 500 years." Everything in the house that would be covered in dust or frail decay linen wasn't there everything was either new or well kept. "Follow me I'll show you to you're room for the time being." She said leading him up the stairs to one of many guest rooms. "Will this one do?" She asked opening the door it was a full room with a queen bed dressers desk closet and bathroom.

Jacques just have her a somewhat questioning glance as she trailed off, but let it go. When they reached his room, Jacques was more than happy to see how good it was. He didn't really know what to expect, but it was good. "Hell, I would've taken the floor if you'd offered it to me." Jacques told her truthfully, shrugging. "Thanks again." he said.

Seeing his glance she figured she was talking too much which was fact but she hadn't really spoke to some on in over a few centuries. She looked at him with a smile, "Well, you've a bed to sleep on...so no need to use they floor. You're Welcome." She stated she wasn't doing to much, just letting a dangerous hunter live in her house if other's new she could be in some big trouble. "Um...Well if you need me my room is down the hall to the right..." she said starting to walk down to it.

"Alright. Have a good night, then." Jacques said. It suddenly hit him that he was now sleeping a few rooms down the hall from a vampire. It was unnerving but Jacques still trusted her. And that was rare, as Jacques didn't really trust anyone.

"Thank you, enjoy your morning." She said with a smile walking into her chambers. Once inside the maser bedroom she pulled out her light blue nightdress, changing into it and pulling the curtains on her bed closed preparing to sleep till nightfall. She hoped she could trust him, but he hadn't killed her in the cemetery so she didn't think he would harm her in her own house.

Jacques nodded. He had been up all night, though, and decided to get some rest as well. He laid down on the bed for a nap. He didn't plan to sleep long, though he did. It was passed noon when he woke up, and he began looking for a shower.

Satine stayed asleep in her bed not waking up, she had a long night. In 'James' room there was a full bathroom that had the typical shower/bathtub, toilet, linens. He would be set for the shower he required. There where other Bathrooms as well in the large house but that was the closest.

Jacques quickly found the door to the bathroom in his room and went inide, finding a shower. When done, he dried off, redressed and came back out.

Satine slept until sunset, waking up pulling out a red flowing dress changing out of her light blue night gown. Once finished dressing she stepped out of her room and made her way to his room, knocking on the door slightly not wanting to startle him.

Jacques walked to the door as he pulled his mask on. He opened it without hesitation when he got there, seeing Satine. "Oh, hey. Us there something you need?" Jacques asked, looking at her.

Satine looked at him still wondering what the man behind the mask looked like. "Good Evening, No I just wanted to let you know that there is a variety of nonperishable food in the cabinets and there's fresh venison in the fridge if you are hungry." She stated

"Oh, okay. Thanks again, but I'd prefer not to burden you anymore than I already have. I'll by my own food. Anything else?" Jacques said to her.

"You're welcome, It's no trouble I can't eat it...so I offer it when I can. other wise it sits there. until I get rid of it or give it to the homeless on the streets.." She said he wasn't a burden on her at least not yet. "No I don't think so."

"Then give to the homeless in the streets. I'll be fine. I promise I'll make this up to you somehow. I mean, everyone's got something they need, or at least want. You're telling me there's nothing I could do to make this up to you?" Jacques said, only now noticing that she was in a nightgown. He had to admit, ate looked beuatiful in it. He would t look that good when he was 500.

"I'll leave the venison for you if you change your mind..." She said about to leave again. Satine wasn't used to people being around not having really spoke to anyone. "I don't necessarily need anything and what I want no one can give to me...So I'm fine..." She said about to leave. "I just realized I never told you my name..."I'm Satine, Countess Satine McKnight...After I change I'm heading out..."

"If you say so." Jacques said shrugging. " And in all fairness, I didn't tell you my real name. Jacques McCoy, at your service, Miss McKnight. Or at least,I'm assuming miss?..." Jacques responded.

Satine tilted her head slightly when he said he didn't tell her his name, "A pleasure Mr. McCoy. I assume so giving that my husband and children have been deceased for 500 years..." She stated. "Well I'm going to go deliver food and grab a bite myself, once I change." Satine smiled softly.

"And what do you mean by 'grab a bite'?" Jacques questioned her, arching his eyebrow as he gave her a questioning look.

She blinked at him a moment "I'm going to find something to eat." She stated what else would in mean, granted in her case it would be more so to drink.
