Metro City, a modern metropolis of unmatched marvels. A city of where citizens where able to go about their daily lives feeling safe for their knew that no matter what the cities valiant protectors would always be there to keep them safe.

Even with a stolen armored truck careening recklessly through rush hour traffic, smashing through other cars as it went. From a skyscraper high above the city streets a loan figure clad in high tech blue armor watched the city, his suits optic system zeroing in on the speeding truck as he plowed closer to him. The Guardian stepped off the ledge of the building, dropping into a free fall with such velocity that he turned into a man shaped missile that plummeted towards the on coming truck.

He landed on the roof, the heavy plated steel of the truck buckling under impact.

The citizen let out a wild cheer as The Guardian hopped down from the roof of the truck, waving towards the crowd, his general attitude far too casual for a man who just plummeted to earth and partly crushed a moving vehicle.

Metro City was a place where Superheroes were wildly accepted. They were celebrated. Not many other places were revered like Metro City. Sure, they enjoyed the heroes who saved the town. However, the after math of destruction was something that the folks did not like. Most towns had chased out the heroes. And once they did, they found there was only small petty crime to be found. No evil scientists with morphed animals/humans, no big robot monsters, no creepy crawlies that made your spine tingle.

That is how she found herself to be in Metro City. Where there was a fair amount of crime considering it was much bigger than the small town she came from. She would need to make a name for herself. She knew it would be hard. She was one of the heroes that took sanctity in having an alter ego. She sometimes liked just being...normal. For no one to know who she was. And that is exactly what she was doing. Sirène, her name being Kassidy Josephine Delacroix, was walking around the city. She looked normal. She could hear in the distance screeching tires, crunching metal and honking horns. She turned back and could see a armored truck speeding down the boulevard. She needed to do something. But before she could even figure out a place to change, the truck was upon her and something crashed onto the top. Some man, and apparently very popular with the cheers.

She wasn't stupid. You don't sit there and take the thunder away from a superhero. That is the fast track to getting yourself some, literally, powerful enemies. She blinked her eyes, assessing the man who just stopped this truck.

"The Guardian!" One woman swooned close to her. Ah yes. Everyone had their favorite. The ideal one that could never do wrong. She arched her brows, watching to see what this one could do. She would play in the background. For the moment. But just for today.

He paused for a moment, leaning playfully against the truck before ripping the driver's side door off only to be greeted by a load of 00 steel slug straight to his face plate, knocking off his feet to the blacktop.

The robbers began to pile out from the truck, each man wearing body armor and carrying some serious military grade hardware. The one who seemed to be in charge, the one with the shotgun fired off a round into the air, "Listen up, no body moves, no body DIES" he shoted, turning his weapon towards the crowd, "Right now you're all our hostages and there ain't a damned thing your knight in dented armor can do about it!"

They gasped, thinking he was hurt. But he wouldn't put himself in danger that easily if he would be hurt or even killed. She just simply blinked when there was a shot in the air. Oh? There was nothing that this "The Guardian" could do? She simply smirked and then gasped, pointing to the sky. "Look! There is another hero!" She yelled. She was able to avert the attention and slip away. The men turned around, sticking the guns and looking for the other hero. Kassidy was able to slip into an alley and quickly change. Her outfit honestly didn't make any sense. But it is not like she got to chose it. Why was it all of the women's outfits were so highly sexualized? Hers was a once piece without straps, pushing up her breasts. It came in various colors of blue and green, it looking like lightening bolts. The bodice had some cuts out of it on the sides, actually meant to be there. Yes. And boots and a mask over her eyes. As if she wasn't exposed enough. She really need to talk to someone about these outfits. She appeared and smirked at the men. "Wow, you really fell for that? And here I was looking all scared." She teased them. She twirled her hands before showing her palms to them, water flowing out and shooting at them. Her best power was the ability to manipulate water. In any form, in almost any different type. Gas, Liquid, Solid....in anything such as plants, drinks and food. It was quite handy.

She was able to freeze the one into place, picking up the manhole cover before she swung it easily and took out another one, his gun going off wildly as the man hole cover hit his stomach. heightened senses, super strength and water manipulation. It was an odd combination but it certainly worked for her.

The rest of the goons turned their attention on her, equal parts confused and angered. The leader leveled his shotgun at her, his finger tightening on the trigger only to have an armored hand press down on the barrel, bending it at a 90 degree angle, "Didn't anyone ever teach you not the play with guns." quipped the Guardian before grabbed the man by the collar of his vest and hurling him into the side of the van with enough force to render him unconscious.

Yes, she wasn't one of the ones that invincible. Not all heroes were bulletproof. She surely wasn't. She moved her hand from the bottom to the top, making effectively a large ice shield. Of course, that could only save her for a few moments before it would crack. There was still five left after The Guardian took care of the leader. So this was a team effort now. She seemed to disappear, in reality all she did was go on the other side of the truck. She lifted the truck rather easily, the guards being startled that she was a strong one as well. With a swing of the truck she knocked out three of the five men, sending them flying and then roughly crashing a few hundred yards away onto the asphalt and one onto a car. The sound of crunching glass and then the car alarm now added into the sounds of their fighting. Now only two remained. Surely the Guardian would be able to take care of them. Or did she have to do most of the work? The most comical one, was the guy frozen in place. His eyes moved and he looked just so funny. So she got some joys out of her job for sure.

One of the thugs levels a revolver style grenade launcher at the new hero showing little regaurd for the citizen gathered to watch the melee. A round shot through the air towards the woman before veering straight upwards and detonating harmlessly high above the crowd before the man was like wise lifted by some unseen force and hurled head first into a trash can.

The woman only had a few seconds to react. And she caught the grenade and threw it into the sky as soon as she got it. It went up into the atmosphere, discharging and blowing up. She watched as the bullet was deflected from her. She was able to the go to the last guy, hooking her arm around his head. It was only about 15 seconds before he passed out in her arms and she dropped him. She rubbed her hands together, dusting them off before looking to the other guy. This is when people started clapping, taking pictures and whispering. "Never thought my first day would start out like this." She joked to him, smiling gently.

New cameras burst forth from the crowd and The Guardian turned to greet them, already rehearsing his speech in his head. The boyish smile he had prepared for the cameras when he removed his helmet quickly faded when he saw the reporters mobbing this new girl who had made the scene.

She was hot, he'd give her that but water powers? That was just lame.

He watched as cameras and microphons where shoved in the girls face and for the first time in a very long time he felt very inadequate.

"What is your name?!" One reporter asked, shoving the microphone at her face.

"Sirène" She replied. Sure, she saved "the day", but not alone. And she felt that credit was deserved by both parties. She was fair.

"We have never seen you before! When did you get here?" Another one asked.

"I am new here." She explained. She looked over to see the man removed his helmet. Interesting, he would reveal himself.

"You were amazing!" "Oh yes, quite amazing." "You looked so great while fighting!" "You really kicked butt!" Everyone was talking at once, cameras flashing in her face.

"I didn't do this alone." She said, turning back and motioning to the other one. "Sorry, I guess we never met. I think I heard your name was The Guardian?" She asked him, turning attention to him rather than the cameras.

He had never been one for sharing glory, even with a mega hottie. Slowly he dawned his helmet again, his chiseled good looks and short blonde hair once again being concealed by the alien tech.

"Enjoy your time in the lime light." he said, clearly faking a supportive tone before stooping into a low crouch. There was a deep hum of energy and the blacktop around him cracked then in a single powerful movement the armored hero flung himself skywards, landing atop a near by building before throwing himself towards the next one.

Well she tried. There was nothing wrong with that right? If he didn't want to share that, then that was his fault. She continued to talk to reporters, her eventually able to slip away. And that is when she changed. She liked having a normal life. Otherwise people always would call her over to do stupid things. "Could you do this for me?" "What about that?" "Oh, you don't mind doing this right?" It honestly got rather annoying.

It wasn't that hard to see who she was. She had the same reddish brown hair, light green eyes. The only think that covered her face was the mask. And her voice was the same. Honestly, it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to spot the differences. Once she got home, she noticed her neighbor was home.

"Hello! I don't believe we have met." She told the guy gently. He was just about to get into his apartment.

Sometimes he liked to get away from the armor. The cap pulled low and dark shades helped to hide himself from the rest of the world. When he heard a voice behind him, Max stopped fumbeling with his keys.

He didn't imedeatly turn around, instead choosing to speak over his shoulder, "No, we haven't."

He was in no real mood for friendly neighbors right now, not unless she was friendly enough to get on her knees and suck his dick.

Kassidy smiled, not approaching. He seemed like he didn't want to talk. "I am Kassidy Delacroix...." She replied. He looked a little weird though. Maybe he was a hero? Is that why he was dressed almost like a thug. Sort of. "What is your name?" She asked after a while. She felt a little nervous for some reason! She normally wasn't a super outgoing person. She was somewhere in the spectrum of shy and outgoing. Sometimes she was more shy and other times more talkative and outgoing. Maybe she was just nervous to make a friend.

She didn't expect a long drawn out conversation. Or him to jump and show her the town. Just a little hello and maybe a 'welcome to the apartment complex' or such. She kind of wished he would turn around and look at her.

"Jack, Jack Harper" he replied dryly before dropping his key to the floor.

He grumbled something to himself and dropped them, accidently knocking them behind himself in the process. He turned on his heels and stopped for a moment, admiring the legs of his newest of neighbors before grabbing his keys and standing back up.

Kassidy stepped closer as he dropped his keys. She bent down to pick them up for him but instead he picked them up. But her hand did reach for them. She bent back up and smiled. She really couldn't see much of him. "Nice to meet you Jack Harper." She replied. She wasn't exactly getting the hint that he didn't want to be bothered. Sometimes she could be a bit oblivious to that. "I was wondering if you would like to join me for dinner sometime soon. I would like to get to know my neighbors!" She added.

As if some devine power decided to end this conversation Jack's watch let out a quick series of beeps, "I'll have to take a rain check on dinner" briskly he unlocked the door and shouldered his way into the apartment, closing it behind him before a holographic display of the city leapt to life in the middle of his living room, showing several odd looking ships overhead.

A grin tugged at the corrner of his mouth and his pressed a buttion on his watch. In an instant his armor was upon him and he stepped out onto the balcony, turning his attention towards the ships over head and the strange pods they where raining down on the city.

His watch started beeping and he excused himself. He probably had an appointment to keep. Him being a hero never really crossed her mind. She would offer another time for dinner. She went into her apartment, looking around. Home. She then looked to the balcony, heading towards it. She wanted to see the view she had.

The armor dawned The Guardian headed to the balcony of his apartment, throwing himself across the gabs between buildings, landing none too gracefully on the one across the road before breaking into a sprint, heading towards the cluster of ships.

Kassidy opened her doors, then stepping outside. But it seemed to be something was in the sky...what was that? She narrowed her eyes and the vision was clearer. "Oh you have got to be kidding me..." She replied, seeing the ships. She headed back in, then changing. She quickly headed out her front door, heading towards the ships as well.
