She loved him and he loved her. Since they were young, they were the best of friends. When they were young teens they became girlfriend and boyfriend. He was sweet and charming and she was full of laughter and care. It wasn't long before their love had blossomed and it went to the next level. The look upon Gabby's face was priceless when he proposed to her in the middle of a gorgeous restaurant with both of their families secretly hidden amongst the crowd. Gabriella could never remember a better time in her life. Her amber eyes lit up and her smile was a bright white and that night was pure magic. Long ebony locks were splayed upon the soft pillows of their bed as the future Misses Dimonte waited for her fiance to come home. Lately he had been working later into the day and claimed to be too tired to do anything. With a simple kiss to the lips he would fall asleep. However when he left for work that next day, the furthest thing from her mind was him leaving her. When he didn't arrive home that night she slipped a long coat over her night gown and drove down to his job where he was not to be found.

When he was not found there, she called his mother. She told her to stay calm and when Gabby said that she would call the police his mother insisted on not doing that. "But I have to find him. He doesn't just up and vanish." She was consoled and then a few days turned to a week. Weeks turned to months and months turned to a year. It had been a horrid year. She was depressed and heart broken. Fearful that she may never see him again. In the mean time, she had picked up modeling, having done fairly good and picking up some great contracts. Some from abroad as well. Yet she lived in the same home that they once owned. His mother had moved out of their quaint little town to New York. Over the phone she had been consoling the girl that would have once been her daughter in law. Nothing seemed the same. No... nothing was the same. She tried to live on with her life and yet he kept coming back to haunt her. Even in her dreams. It was a chilly night. For some reason a walk in the park sounded like a very nice idea. A long sleeved shirt was slipped on with a neckline that showed off her voluptuous bust. Long ebony locks cascading down her back and auburn eyes looked back at her reflection in the mirror.

The twenty-three year old female slipped on a skirt and some comfortable knee high boots before walking out the door. The sun was already beginning to set, but the park was but a block away. They use to hang out in the park together. It was where he gave her, her first kiss. Where they had become girlfriend and boyfriend. She use to sit on the swing and he would push her as they killed time talking and making out. He was her life and here she was still trying to pick up the pieces. Upon a swing she sat as parents and children began leaving the park for dinner time. There she sat thinking. Thinking of the man she once loved as she gently swung. "Wes Dimonte... where have you gone?" She sighed out loud to no one in particular.

Wes had lived an old mans life in a short span of time, having found true love at a young age they had quickly fallen into a euphoric state of near perfection. Fighting very little, and only replacing that dark void with the bright joyous emotion known as love. They were the epitome of the perfect couple, and when Wes had planned to wed this woman he had come to know and love, both families agreed whole heartedly. Leading to their engagement in front of a large crowd in a busy restaraunt in a bustling downtown city. The memory would always be the happiest for the both of them, for the kiss they shared at that moment was incredibly electric.

However, soon after Wes took it upon himself to work harder and push himself farther in order to grant his fiancée a fairy tale life. A world where nothing was scary or could hurt her, a place where if she wanted it, Wes could attain it for her. As a result, he dragged himself into work in the early morning, continuing on into the very late hours of night. Being an accountant for a smaller branch of a much larger company, he was deemed the best in the business and often received honorable employee awards. The only problem was, whenever he came home nothing but exhaustion exuded from his very being, dragging his feet into bed before promptly passing out. Most of the time unable to fit even a morsel of food into his body for he would only have enough energy to sleep. It was a tiring and hard lifestyle, but he had to do it for the love of his life.

One night however upon leaving the office at ten, he was hit from behind relatively hard by an unseen figure. Unbeknownst to him he was dragged off into a nearby van and drugged with a powerful anesthetic that had a record of causing memory loss. The person who had done it was a woman known as Veronica Aldrige, a jealous rival of Gabby's who saw to it that Gabby would have a miserable life ever since elementary. However, with Wes nearby he had always defended her and made sure she was happy as much as possible. Veronica was jealous of that, convincing Wes after awaking that they were in a relationship. Only coaxing him into believing further by a series of sexual encounters that ended up leading him to living in New York. A small condo in the middle of Times Square. His mom had received a call, stating that her son was fine and living in New York, which caused his mom quickly to move there in order to be close to her son.

Late one night however he was given a ticket from his mother, ordered to return home for awhile in order to hopefully jog his memory. It was possible, and he only agreed due to the urgency in his mother's voice. Leaving with a large duffel and black rollaway he agreed, moving to the airport before settin off for his hometown.

It was busy in the airport, barely managing to snag a taxi which he promptly provided with an adress to his father's home. The taxi driver asking no questions before driving him to the address provided. Upon arriving Wes nodded with a small smile, lifting a duffel over his shoulder as he left. Tossing the driver a good was of cash before waving him goodbye. Everything around him had an awe of familiarity...yet at the same time it didn't feel quite...right. His eyes trailed the scene before moving to check his watch, which remarkably was not there. Unsure of the time he moved over to a nearby park just across the street, luggage in tow. A woman on the swingset seemed to be the only living being for miles, which easily summed it down to whom he should ask.

"Um...excuse me. You don't happen to know the time by any chance?"Wes had a very distinct voice, it was a tad deep, but every word he said was warm and inviting. He was a kind and considerate individual...not that he would remember it.

It grew a little bit later and she decided upon retiring home soon when she heard a hauntingly familiar voice. Amber eyes looked up. Only lit up by the nearest lamp post. Her heart stuttered and dropped into her belly. That hair. Those eyes. That voice. for a moment she lost the ability to speak. His question just now registering to her ears. "W-Wes? Wes Dimonte?" When he did not register she nearly shattered. Tears threatening to spill down her cheek. She was torn between hugging him and slapping some sense into him. "Where have you been? What happened?" A sob was choked back and the tear wiped from the corner of her eyes. "It's been over a year Wes and all you have to say to me is what time is it?" Up from the swing she stood, while pondering if this was a dream. A small little laugh escaped her lips and the smile shined just for a brief second. "I don't know whether to slap you or kiss you Wes. That is... if it is you." Had his first choice of words been less casual she would have snagged him in a hug and never let him go. He hardly looked different than when she last saw him.

"Wes.. don't... don't you remember me?" She asked with fear in her voice. Had their relationship meant little to nothing that he could so easily have forgotten her? "It's me... Gabriella. Gabriella...Beaumont. Your fiance? Best friends since were were kids?" She was in utter shock. He was as handsome as she remembered and her she stood. She had to appear a stranger in his eyes. "It's... It's seven thirty-three." Obviously the words forced since so much more was aching to spill forth and the time was the last thing. This was not how she had pictured their reunion in her head. "Wes... you truly don't remember me?" She had bit back the tears, but it was getting harder and harder. "Our first kiss... here in this park. How you proposed in front of both of our families...." Her throat seemed to tighten more and more. She didn't know how much more she could take of this. It seemed more of a nightmare than a dream.
