1) Three or more players are put into a horror survival scenario. They choose cheesy one-dimensional characters to portray and pick two things their character is good at, and two things their character is bad at. These make up the skills the GM will use to decide how you achieve things. They can be very interpretative, a la Unknown Armies's take on skills. Here's a funny thread describing a few such skills http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?207178-Unknown-Armies-Skills

2) The GM chooses one person at random who will be the sole survivor of the group. The players will not know who the survivor is. This character will always live with a few exceptions. The survivor, as well as all the other characters, must try to survive. If you deliberately try to test the boundaries to see if you are the survivor, you may end up dying anyway. The GM reserves the right to change the mantle of the survivor due to interference with the game (if the person stops posting, for example).

3) When a character meets a very sexy bad end, the scene will unfold in a separate thread and be linked in the group RP. I don't mind being a partner in these bad ends, but if any of the players wish to handle it between each other, that's fine too.

4) To facilitate a forum game, if the group splits up, we will begin posting in different colors. For example, a group goes upstairs and another goes downstairs, the upstairs group will begin writing in green, while the downstairs in blue. This should allow the action to keep moving, so people don't have to wait for one group to finish to continue theirs. Also, it should make it easier to follow one story or the other. At least, in theory.

5) I'm available most American evenings, however I tend to have most of the daytime on Saturday to write continuously. If you follow a similar schedule, great! If not, we can still work it out. My dream would be to somehow have everyone on at once, but that's very unlikely :p

The House on the Hill

Based off a movie of a very similar name. An eccentric millionaire brings several strangers together to stay the weekend at what he calls the most haunted mansion in America. All they need to do is stay until Sunday morning and allow themselves to be filmed for a TV show. He tells them whoever doesn't run screaming will be awarded with $1 million.

Surely they won't put people in any actual danger, will they? It's a TV show for crying out loud. And there's no such thing as ghosts, right? And it's such a life changing amount of money for all of them.

Welcome to the House on the Hill.

Oo, I wanna play! Can I be the generically attractive, vaguely career driven journalist who was trying to make a name for herself by investigating whatever event leads to the survival horror scenario and gets pulled in when everything goes to hell? She could be good at hiding and being full of gumption, but bad at running in high heels and using weapons!

Awesome! Thank you for speaking up. We need at least one more to start the preparations.

Good deal! I'll start preparing everything today, and if anyone else wants to join in, it's not too late!

Quick Update: You may start getting ready now. I'll edit everything else after lunch.

Can I join as the guy whose an awkward nerd? He could be there because he's running really low on cash and he's desperate.
